Wicked Craft Co. Boston Reviews from The Last Year

It's mostly good for aesthetics and drinks the food isn't so great and it's small inside. The server I had was pretty good but when I sat at the bar waiting for my friends I got a drink and later noticed they added their own tip. I should've wrote 0.00 on the tip part but later on my bank statement noticed they gave themselves a $2 tip.

If I could do 0 stars I would.
I don't even write reviews but this was genuinely the craziest experience I have ever had. I was out with friends on Friday night when my friends and I witnessed one of the security guards tackle a man and have him in a chokehold while the man was asking to be let go because he couldn't breathe. Moments later another man (short and bald) pushed a woman down on the side walk right outside the bar. Whatever the situation was I don't think it should ever lead to this level of aggression. A security guards job is to deescalate the situation never to make things worse. Awful workers and an even worse environment.
Came to Wicked Craft for my friend birthday brunch.
I think this is one of my favorite brunch spots in Boston. This restaurant is located in the north end so there is not street parking, I recommend to park down the street in the Haymarket garage (not sure of the hourly fare). As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by friendly staff and we were immediately sat to our table once the entirety of our party arrived. The restaurant is quiet small but very nicely decorated. The music plays very loud which was not a problem to us. Our server was very nice and very helpful, he recommended me the always sunny cocktail which was strong but delicious. For my meal I decided to go with the omelette. The omelette came with a side of potatoes which were kinda cold but they were very good. My friend ordered chicken and waffles and the waffles were so good, definitely recommend that dish. Since it was my friend birthday she decided to get the birthday shot which comes with dry ice and it was a nice little show. Me and my friends really enjoyed having brunch here and it somewhere we will definitely be back to.

how fun this place was!! We stopped here walking the Freedom Trail for a drink and stayed for 3. We didn't have any food but it looked delicious coming out of the kitchen. Staff were friendly and the bartender was great ( spunky and sassy) played fun music for the younger crowd ! Definitely a place to hit up in the north end
Customer service, horrible.
I didn't cancel 24 hours before my reservations and was charged $50 for a no show basically. I tried calling this establishment at the moment it opened as well as sending a message through open table. in the middle of the night I started feeling ill. I don't want to be in an establishment spreading germs and possibly getting anyone else sick and they refused to refund me $50 for the reservation. Don't get sick people, there's no empathy for you. They will not refund your money due to unfortunate circumstances. They said "yeaaaa, there's nothing we can do" but you can definitely can. As fast as you took it you can give it back.
My friend and I went here on a Thursday for a girls night
My friend and I went here on a Thursday for a girls night and we were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Although the restaurant was beautifully decorated, it did not take away from the lack of friendliness and slow service. Upon entering, we were asked for ids and given a seat along the window. The street view was nice, people watching. However, we waited 8 minutes before someone even came to bring water. When the waiter came over, he never introduced himself or even seemed interested in explaining the menu as this was our FIRST time there. We ordered drinks that took so long to get to us. As soon as he set the drinks down, we were asked what we wanted to eat. The menus were taken and we sat for several more minutes before being brought our food. While eating, we were never asked for refills or anything. The food was OK, nothing that you would be seeking but great if someone is treating you to a meal (maybe). At the end of the meal, i went to order another drink, asked the waiter for a menu and never got it. When he finally came back, menu in hand, i told him i just wanted the bill. Do you know, for a party of 2, GRATUITY IS ADDED?!? So on top of terrible service, we were forced to pay a 20% gratuity to a very undeserving waiter. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!

This place is really fun and good experience for a birthday or celebration. Their drinks all have great presentations. I love the different options for espresso martinis. The food is okay, average but again the presentation was great. The service is not the best in my experiences so far and I have been several times now. Great vibes and decor inside though.
I've gotten drinks here before, and I highly recommended
I've gotten drinks here before, and I highly recommended this restaurant to my friend while we were planning a dinner during my visit to Boston. However, my experience was very different this time. When making a reservation, we were explicitly told we could come in at 7:00 for a window seat, or 8:30 for a table. If this restaurant claims a reservation only guarantees a spot in the restaurant, and not a specific table, then that needs to be communicated to the staff, so the customers understand this as well. If we were told we would be sitting on bar seats facing the window, we wouldn't have a problem. I also work in the service industry, so I'm very aware of how reservations work. When we were told the two empty tables needed to accommodate two parties of two, that was totally understandable. However, My restaurant also has window bar seats and tables. I always let my customers know when making reservations because it is two completely different experiences. Sitting at a window bar with three people makes it extremely difficult for the two people on the ends to have a conversation. Not to mention the people walking the streets and staring at me while I'm eating. All I'm saying is the communication we were given over the phone changed our dinner experience entirely. The food wasn't that great either, so there wasn't much to make up for. Our server was great, so I will say this restaurant has a fantastic team. I've seen the way the owner responds to negative reviews, including the one my friend had written who was with me when this happened. A simple apology on behalf of the staff's communication could've gone a long way. tldr: When dining at this restaurant with a party of three, be aware that you could be sitting at a window bar instead of an actual table. This changes your experience :)

I made a reservation for 3 people on 4/13/24, and had called fairly in advance (perhaps Thursday? I can't remember). When I was speaking to the person on the phone making the reservation, she told me that I could come in at 7:00 to sit at the window bar, or 8:30 to be seated at a table. I opted for 8:30, as I would prefer to look at my friends who were visiting from out of state and this was the few hours I had with them. When we arrived at 8:25, we were told that our table would be ready in a few minutes and they were just waiting to clear it out. We said great, and we sat at the bar. It was a little tight, but we made do. Thats when trouble started. The Hostest (Bethany) came up and apologized profusely but said that we would not be getting a table, and instead it would be the window bar. If you haven't been inside the restaurant, this is a little bar area that looks out to Salem St. People walking by will stare at you while you eat, which is super uncomfortable. I was, obviously, disappointed. We understood that things happen, but if we had known this we would have come at 7:00 instead? We were promised a table, and compromised the time, only for the exact opposite to happen. Then, one table cleared as my friends and I were drinking our drinks, and I went up to the host and asked if we could get switched to that table. She said no, with no real explanation (not that she owes it to me, I just was confused.). So then, I asked my server the same question, and they went up to the hostess and asked about the now TWO empty tables. Both of which we could not sit down at. So my friends spent the whole night sitting side by side, trying very hard to include everyone in the conversation. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the best either. And we were promised one thing only for it to not work out, which we understand happens but it was frustrating. One note I want to make. The hostess, Bethany, was as sweet, understanding, and accommodating as possible. She did no wrong and I appreciated how honest and accommodating she was for us, even if we weren't able to get a table. She explained why this may have happened and what not, and it made a lot more sense. So I want to just make it clear, she is a fantastic hostess and was not the reason behind the mix up, and this review SHOULD NOT reflect poorly on her. Overall, I'm giving the restaurant 2 stars. The whole experience was disappointing. The drinks (I got purple rain) was extremely strong and hard to sip, the food was mediocre, but very expensive, and the seating was messed up. On top of all of this, we had people staring at us while we ate because of the window bar seats. But this is truly not fault of the team last night. My server was fantastic and understanding, kind and helpful with all of us making a fuss, and the hostess was incredible as I previously mentioned. Even the guy who took our drink -- Nico?-- was fantastic and did an excellent job at communicating and working with us. So would I go back again? Probably not as a special trip. But if I'm in the area and they are available (or I have a reservation, where I am GUARANTEED a table) I would go back. Thank you so much to the team last night for working with us, I'm sorry we made such a fuss. You guys have a tough job and deserve to be recognized for the positives, even when there are shortcomings!!! EDIT: per the request of the owner who so delightfully responded to me, I am happy to make a change. Yes, I made a reservation for 3 people at a TABLE, which is what I was told on the phone by the hostess. I was told I could either sit at the window bar, at 7:00pm or at a table at 8:30. There was no clear communication from the hostess who answered the phone on whether a reservation just 'guaranteed a spot.' Instead, she told me I was guaranteed a table. I was not asking for anyone to give away tables as I don't see the seating chart because I am not an employee. Instead, I was asking for clarification because it was confusing. If I was going to only actually be given a window bar seat, we would have just come in at 7pm! Instead of waiting an extra hour and a half for a table that never happened. As someone who has worked in customer relations and as a hostess for several years, I would suggest two things: 1. Train your hostess' better so that communication is clear that there is no guarantee of a table on a busy Saturday night. If I was told that, then there wouldn't have been a problem to begin with. 2. Train your leadership team (the owners) on how to have polite, appropriate conversations with disappointed patrons who were only trying to let the general public know about the experience. The level of professionalism that is written in this owners reply is really appalling. If you'd like to see more of the owner's attitude towards people leaving legitimate reviews of completely valid concerns do your own research and read the google reviews.
Didn't live up to expectations.
Food was bad and overpriced. We also both got sick after eating it (pretty bad food poisoning). Music is way too loud to the point where it is impossible to have a conversation. The only thing worthy of a star in this review was one of the cocktails (poison ivy), which was actually tasty. Overall wouldn't recommend.

Wicked craft is my go to spot for celebrating everything and anything. It does not matter what night of the week it is- any meal here is a party. From the inventive and massive meals, to the fun staff to playlists that catch a vibe, Wicked Craft just gets it.
Delicious & delightful
Don’t let the decor – a homage to 1980s Miami? – detract: the food is delicious, portions are generous, cocktails are fab (and alarmingly more-ish), and the staff are cheerful, courteous and efficient. Add to your ‘lunches must-do’ list when visiting Boston.
Amazing food, drinks, and service! The vibe of this place
Amazing food, drinks, and service! The vibe of this place was so cool and the music is just loud enough to be fun but you can still hear the people you're sitting with! I got the Italian sunrise and it was exquisite! My friend got a delicious and very cool looking Bloody Mary! Highly recommend!!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
