Great food and good views
Wagamama is one of my all time favourite places to eat. This particular restaurant is great, it is bright and airy and offers views of the port where we could see MSC Virtuosa depart. The food was delicious and staff super friendly. Would recommend
A quick stop from the shops
Speedy service all round took no time at all to be seated and the food wasn’t far behind that. A big shout out to Emily, service with a smile!
Very rude staff member
Oh dear… not a great experience at all! I have been hesitant to write this review as it has now been a few months since this abysmal experience but I feel compelled to share the utter disappointment that was our visit to Wagamama on this day. My partner and I visited with his Mum on a Saturday lunchtime in December and honestly, from start to finish, our experience was terrible. Ironically, this had nothing to do with the food - which was fine - but the service and attitude of the staff. We were perfectly happy to wait in line for a table and understood that food would arrive at different times so I cannot say that this was an issue. However, we were treated very poorly by one of your staff members who can only be described as sarcastic, condescending and hugely unfriendly. The lad can’t have been more than 18-19 years old (if that) and made comments about not only are butchered pronunciation of dishes (we tried!) but also told my mother in law to cheer up, smile and have a sense of humour (for the record, she was in a great mood and he obviously needed to take his own advice here). We had done nothing but be polite and understanding as always but it appeared this one staff member had it out for us for no reason and made the whole experience rather unpleasant. Like I said the food was fine but the general visit was tainted negatively by this one young lad. Will probably return but just hope we don’t get treated the same next time.
Disappointed again by the Southampton branch
They just can’t seem to get it right at the Southampton branch. All other wagamana’s are spot on (Salisbury & Basingstoke 👌🏻). Staff ill informed about the menu, not being attentive, when you want assistance you have to find someone, when you’re in full conversation, you’ll get an arm reaching across you to collect a glass! Scruffy staff. Whilst you’re eating, staff looking at you & then the queue… get a hurry on love & eat your meal 👀 😆. Nah, I always think it will get better but it never does 🤷 ♀️😔 Shame as the food is very good. The service is shocking
Poor management of food coming out
We have eaten in many Wagamama’s and this was the 1st time in Southampton and probably the last. We ordered a Katsu, a Yaki soba and a gyozo. The Katsu came 1st, probably 25 minutes after ordering, followed by the gyozo 10 minutes later and then another 20 minutes for the soba. We complained a few times whilst waiting. They did refund one main but it was chaos with at least 5 other groups complaining about the same poor management of food coming out of the kitchen. A real shame as we love Wagamama!
Worst lunch in a long time
Have to say it was my worst experience here, love Wagamama but today has put me off. We got seated aske for green tea and then waited to order we had to call someone to take our order. Then our drinks sat on side again orders which were put out before ours were being delivered to tables. And I know food comes out at different times. My daughter ordered a ramen which came out warm not hot, my katsu salad came out 15 minutes after that. And the lettuce was old. We were never checked on if everything was ok and when I asked to pay the bill it seemed like a chore to bring card machine over. Has put me off for sure
Excellent food and customer service!
Really enjoyed our lunch here - I was here with my mum and daughter. We all thought the good was great and the staff were lovely, efficient, helpful and friendly. I would 100% recommend this place.

1st Ever Visit To A Wagamama 🤔
So this is my first ever experience of eating in a Wagamama. Now maybe my expectations were high, but I seriously don’t get the hype 🤔 This particular restaurant is in a very busy shopping centre. Staff were very pleasant enough & promptly seated us at a table with several other people!!! I personally find the sharing a table experience a bit “odd” it’s not as if you are just grabbing a coffee & snack. At the prices charged by Wagamama I would expect a table just for the people I’m dining with. Food on the whole was ok, but felt overpriced for what we experienced. I understand food is cooked fresh, but surely an order can be dealt with at once, rather than food being served as & when it’s ready. I’m confused as to is Wagamama a restaurant or a fast food experience, for me it felt fast food at restaurant prices. They even expect you to pay by QR code 🤔

Amazing Service by our waiter ethan, he was amazing even when guests next to us was being really rude to him he acted very professional we was sat in the benches if I was him I would of shouted at them 😂, he’s a amazing person a part of the team!
