Fantastic experience, kindness, professionalism and excellent food, refined and elegant environment, very nice place located in the center of Fondi in front of the Castle, excellent location for taking a walk. We were there on 12/29 and there were 4 of us, even if it was late but I wanted to write this review because we were pampered as it has happened to me a few times. Three very kind and very professional girls served us and the girl who explained the dishes to us, whose name I'm sorry I don't remember, did it in a very interesting and engaging way unlike other places where I tell you the chant without much interest and it was very well prepared, in fact she answered all our curiosities and questions. Fantastic food, very refined and very well cooked with very beautiful and well made dishes. Congratulations for everything and I can't wait to visit you again.
GOURMET EPIPHANY
First time in this restaurant, and it was a pleasant discovery a few steps from the Fondi castle. We were welcomed with great kindness and professionalism by all the staff, in a well-kept and welcoming place, with an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. The tasting menu we chose ranged from fish to land, with excellent, well-presented dishes that highlighted the quality raw materials. Worthy of note is the accompanying drinks which ranged from cocktails to wines, with a greater exaltation of the dishes, compliments to the Maitre/Sommelier. Adequate price quality, recommended.
The Spirit of the place
Every time (and there are quite a few) that I enter the Riso Amaro restaurant my gaze goes in search of the large photo that stands out on the wall: Silvana Mangano, stockings above the knee, hulling the rice in Giuseppe De Santis' film with "a sweet and proud expression at the same time" (as Italo Calvino wrote about her). I have always thought that the director and the protagonist of the film represent the spirit of the place and are the inspiration of Maurizio, now an established chef and confident leader of his business. In his cuisine I find the attachment to the Fondane land, typical of the director and the softness of the actress with her "clear and clear complexion without shadows or lights". So are the dishes; they flow smoothly, without strong contrasts, without forcing, without unlikely combinations which often only serve to épater le bourgeois. I won't list the dishes I liked most: everyone will judge according to taste and creativity. It is the quality of the lunch that I want to affirm and the care that I see behind the preparation of each dish.
Nice find
Invited for the Christmas dinner of the Italian Academy of Cuisine we discovered this beautiful place just outside the historic center of Fondi. I thank chef Maurizio for the welcome and the truly high quality of the dishes and all the staff for how we were pampered during the evening. A note for the fresh Vermicello cheese and pepper with shellfish, a risky but successful combination and for the splendid desserts. Even the selection of the 4 wines offered is undoubtedly top-notch. Compliments.
A Michelin star? But also two!
Four of us came on January 1st for lunch, that is, on the most "tired" day for any restaurant in the world. Despite this, you are welcomed with a smile in a sober and welcoming room, with walls of a pale powder colour, with round and well-spaced tables from which you can glimpse the lovely summer terrace between the houses of the historic centre, which certainly invites more to return in the summer. The dining room staff is all female, with the very talented Federica illustrating the dishes, recommending the wines and coordinating the punctual but never rigid service of her colleagues. You get the sensation of great sensitivity in knowing how to tune in to the moods of each table; ours was in the mood for discoveries, so we declined the excellent offer of the tasting menu (for which univocal sharing among the diners is required, and rightly so), preferring the opportunity to taste more things by vulgarly stealing between the respective dishes . The appetizer is preceded by more than one welcome, from which we understood that we could well have relied on the chef's daily creativity to equally leave us in ecstasy: a reproduction of the baronial castle of Fondi acts as a backdrop to a tasting of finger food, with a reproduction of the Itrana olive with white chocolate with a soft heart that challenges the laws of physics in the kitchen. But I won't get lost in the details of what follows, just saying that there wasn't a single dish in the entire lunch that made us envy the choice of the next diner. The memory of the next day wanders randomly between a revisitation of the Tiella Gaetana with cardoncelli mushrooms and the artichoke "buttons" not at all overwhelmed by a condiment that smelled of the best seafood; between a thick soup with maltagliati that tasted as much of the sea as it did of the hinterland and the amazing homemade panettone, among other things offered before dessert, which would have dwarfed what I tasted from the (believed to be) best Italian pastry chef. In short, the consistent quality of the dishes throughout the entire lunch was memorable. And you don't eat too little either, as often happens in high-end cuisines, because the portions are simply right. Many invoke the Michelin star, and I hope to make a contribution by writing a modest recommendation on the wine list. The mark-ups are very honest, but it seemed too ambitious to me in wanting to include the continents, while there are gaps in Italian wine which in my opinion should be filled: almost the entire family of red grapes with few anthocyanins which, with their relative freshness combined with the low tannic extraction, they could be the wild card in pairing with many of the dishes proposed here: for example some lighter Nebbiolo from the north of Piedmont (Lessona, Bramaterra, Colline Novaresi etc.), or a Grignolino, or a Santa Maddalena, or a full Rosé from Salento, or a Valpolicella, or a Torrette (less concentrated than the Fumin on the menu), or a Barbera d'Alba, or a Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo (perhaps full of substance and character). It seemed right to me, however, to propose among others the so-called "natural" wines, because this is now an indispensable trend. They could be distinguished with a symbol, if it weren't for the fact that Federica knows how to narrate the style of each bottle served. Maybe I would add the alcohol content on the paper, if possible, because it would be useful for those who want to drink more than one bottle in the right succession. For everything else, the Michelin star would be more than deserved. But also two…!
perspective restaurant
This restaurant is ideal for a romantic evening of good food, we took the fish tasting menus and were truly amazed by some of the chef's creations, the welcome dish served on a reproduction of the Fondi castle is truly beautiful , even if the first finger food in my opinion was really too cold. The bread and breadsticks they produce are excellent, I was particularly impressed by the "Fondana breakfast", a dish that recalls a croissant and cappuccino but savory, truly creative and good, the desserts perhaps a little too sweet, excellent selection of wines, impeccable service. Perhaps the problem with this restaurant is the fact that it is on a line that is halfway between a starred restaurant and a good restaurant, at the moment in my opinion it is too expensive compared to other restaurants of the same level that we have tried, however we will certainly return because I think it will grow

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
