Perry's Steakhouse & Grille Grapevine Reviews from The Last Year
I was not expecting to give 5 stars to a chain steakhouse
I was not expecting to give 5 stars to a chain steakhouse but man-o-man did this place deliver. We made Friday lunch reservations for our anniversary. We really wanted to take advantage of the outdoor seating but the weather was questionable so we sat indoors. Our waitress was amazing being attentive and patient as we worked through the extensive menu. We picked Friday because they have a $19 Pork Chop lunch special that we heard was fantastic. We split the spinach salad with warm bacon vinaigrette, and the pork chop. This was totally enough food for us both. Pork chop was literally fork cut tender. The potatoes and homemade apple sauce on the side was the perfect accompaniment. We opted for the Perry's Pinot Noir (7.5oz for $15 a glass) and for a house wine was really good. We ended with coffee and crème brûlée which I would highly recommend. Just as an FYI-- sitting at the actual bar is open and no reservations required (but was very full). The perimeter seats in the bar do require reservation. This is a hopping place so I definitely would recommend reservations. Dress is casual. They have different specials on different days of the week and had a special coming up for Mother's Day with a filet mignon for $49/person. Definitely recommend and will return.
My OpenTable reviews for Perry's have been 4 and 5 star on
My OpenTable reviews for Perry's have been 4 and 5 star on multiple visits in the past. Today's was not that. At happy hour, seeing that the burgers were "Filet Mignon, NY Strip, and Ribeye trimmings ground daily in-house" you'd wonder how one could go wrong with that? The first issue was that the kitchen mixed up my "medium" with my guests "medium rare", an issue they offered to fix but I didn't think it was worth wasting a burger and I was going to deal with it. My "Bacon Slab Burger" was advertised as being "topped with thick-cut bacon slab". My assumption was maybe some nice thick cut bacon to complement the burger that really should have been the star of the show. Instead, as you can see in the photo, it looked like two giant pieces of fatty pork belly, much larger than the beef patty. What you can't see in the photo is how tough and chewy the pieces of pork fat were. Between the raw ground beef, the fatty, chewy pork, and just not having a good taste, the burger became inedible. It wasn't worth the calories or the price they charge which they did end up deducting when I didn't finish much of it. I see after getting home that the online menu has a photo of the "Bacon Slab Burger". While I would have at least seen that the bacon pieces were large, I still don't think their photo would have clued me in to what I actually received. Also, something far too many servers at other places do, when there is still liquid left in a drink--even if one last sip--don't quickly remove it from the table without asking. Not a great happy hour at Perry's.
I'm always skeptical of any steakhouse chains but I'm happy
I'm always skeptical of any steakhouse chains but I'm happy to share my experience at Perry's was far from a chain like one. I suggest making a reservation especially for dinner. The ambiance is dark in lighting with beautiful ceiling decor but the wine cellar stole the show for me. Luis, our server, was fabulous. He shared his personal menu favorites and guests favorites as suggestions and did not miss. We started with building our own seafood tower and the seafood was fresh and massive in size. There was five of us which was plenty and then some. We each enjoyed a different cut of steak with a couple of sides to share. The potatoes were just okay. Luckily for us the steak made up for it. The service earned this five star review. Attentive, friendly, and accommodating is how I'd sum it up. We must've been very into our table conversation because when we looked up the entire restaurant was empty as if they were closed. And yet not one staff member was in a hurry to get us out so they too can get out of there. Instead they let us continue enjoying our conversation and night as is. A highlight of the night.
Probably the best steakhouse in the area.
Amazing service and food (you do pay for what you get) but it is a really amazing place to go for a special occasion or a work dinner.
Food is mediocre, my steak tasted average at best.
The appetizers gave me an upset stomach all night and my fiance ended up throwing up at the resturant. The mashed potatoes look really disappointing with a chunky layer of cheese on top. Not worth the price

Tables overcrowded, waiters will rush or ignore, tepid water in a sweaty vase, overproced mediocre & flavorless food. Had better prepared filet at Texas Land & Cattle.
Beautiful restaurant.
I had the wedge salad, pork chops, macaroni cheese & scallop potatoes. Husband had the salmon. Enjoy was very good! Service was on point as well. We will return soon!
Perrys in Grapevine is just on the other side of our
Perrys in Grapevine is just on the other side of our backyard fence, and every time we visit, it feels like home, but more elevated. Some of my favorite dishes ever have been at Perrys. We've never been disappointed with our service and we have a great affinity for the outdoor dining atmosphere- always feels warm and inviting. Comparing the dessert trio with the bread pudding - I love the petite desserts but you don't have to throttle your sweet tooth if you want it all.
Food was amazing the service was top tier and the ambiance
Food was amazing the service was top tier and the ambiance was just right. If you are an active duty military or a veteran make sure to ask for that menu and thank me later. I would definitely recommend this location 10/10
Steak was great.
However, of all the steak houses that I've been to in DFW this was by FAR the longest I have ever waited for my food. We had a reservation for 7:45 and did not get seated until 8:20. Food ordered at 8:30, we did not receive our food for over an hour! When I made a 7:45 reservation I was expecting to be paying the bill at 9:00PM, not getting my food at 9:40! As good as the steak was I probably will not be returning, I'm sure this large steakhouse is great for larger gatherings/events but as a couple who just want to eat I think we will stick to more personable settings.
The ambiance, the food, and the service was amazing.
Everything we order was well seasoned and properly prepared. I am excited to go back.
Had a very average experience tonight for the cost.
My NY strip was grainy & they don't tell you it is topped with blue cheese crumbles in the butter. I love blue cheese in my salad but nowhere else. My wife would have sent hers back if she had one. Had creamed spinach but it was salty & too rich like it has cheese in it. Very unsatisfying feeling after dinner. Having a great coffee to chase those tastes away. Should have stuck with my normal go to at Kirby's. When I pay big bucks I expect top notch food . This was not.i

Went with a group of over 60 people for an organized work dinner. The dining room was packed, and so was our private room, yet somehow the staff was able to keep our glasses full and the food coming out at a good pace without rushing us. They were very friendly and helpful throughout! The lobster bisque I had had a good amount of actual lobster meat in it and was creamy and delicious. My surf and turf was of equal quality. The filet was a perfect medium rare and well seasoned, and the lobster tail was tender and buttery. Additionally, despite the large group, they were able to swap out the garlic butter with regular butter. Bravo! An excellent, upscale experience.
It was a 5 Star experience all across the board.
Visiting from SoCal, we definitely wanted to try a Texas steakhouse. It all started off with our waitress Gabriela, she was very informative with the meals, the specials, and whatever questions we asked, she went above and beyond for us and I appreciate that. From the Pork Chop skewers to the roasted pine nuts on my ceasar salad, it was delicious. My daughter loved the Filet and Lobster over the bed of spaghetti as I enjoyed the Bone in NY Steak. We ordered the Loaded Mash Potatoes and grilled Asparagus. Every bite was delicious, while the ambiance was quite and with a beautiful decor. Well Perry's, will be back if we ever head back to Texas.
Amazing food always!! Service is always top notch.
Leave with full stomach and a desire to return.
Absolutely amazing!
This was my first time ever eating here and it was incredible! I ordered the 4 oz lobster tail, grilled and it was the best I’ve ever had. Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese are amazing too! Only disappointment was that I haven’t eaten here soon! Looking forward to going back.

All I have to say is "the pork chop!" Service is fast and friendly but not rushed. Everything is fresh. Can't wait for Easter!
This restaurant is AMAZING! Great service, food, ambiance.
Have been many times and still our favorite place To go in the area.
Server was Amazing and the food is Incredible! Wow.
Worth my 30 minute drive for sure!
Perry's is still killin' it at Friday lunch.
How they they serve gazillions of these pork chops on a Friday at lunch and yet maintain the insanely consistent quality is beyond me. But they do. So good. As always... perfectly attentive and pleasant service. And always plenty of automobile eye candy on display out front.

We had impeccable service by Janette this evening!! We had an incredible experience for my birthday! Her table maintenance was meticulous and her genuine kindness amazing She made my day soo special! Thank You Jannette and Perrys for the wonderful food!
I was given a gift certificate to go to Perry's Restaurant
I was given a gift certificate to go to Perry's Restaurant in Grapevine. My debrief input to people are on all three areas: FOOD - it was ok but it would have better hot , reason was over crowding with to many packed into a small area, making waiters job, hard to get around and trying to service to many people at the same time. AMBIANCE: packing into a small area , had a table of 15 (noisy people) and another 8 people, another table, and then 3 tables with 4 people directly in the middle of those. Very noisy restaurant could not even talk at our table, of four, without raising you voice a lot. Service: waiter/s were busy trying to work the very large noisy tables, leaving less time to service us...ended up cold coffee, room temp steaks and veggies. It will not be my choice of a restaurant . Many better in the area.
Outstanding restaurant! The staff is impeccable.
The atmosphere lovely. The food was amazing. A little pricey but, great place to go for a special event!
Amazing Experience
Our family had a wonderful experience at Perry’s Steakhouse in Grapevine. It was our daughter’s graduation dinner. Service was excellent, Food was spot on and cooked to perfection. Restaurant has an elegant ambiance and it was a wonderful night. I highly recommend.
Worth a visit
Superb! Service, good and drink selection is top notch. Get the pork chops….they are not something I typically would order but wow….
Outstanding dinner
I had made reservations for an early Christmas present for my wife and myself. We were seated at the front of the restaurant in a private room. It was quiet compared to the main dining room. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer. They were hot and delicious. My wife ordered the filet and lobster tail and I had the Oscar filet. Both steaks were tender and delicious. We shared the au gratin potatoes. They were nice and creamy. We had the chocolate crunch tower for dessert. The chocolate was creamy with the toffee adding a nice crunch. Perry’s never disappoints
Missed the Mark
This place missed the mark on every aspect. Hubby & I sat at the bar. Service was just terrible, they all looked miserable, not friendly at all.. bar top was not clean. Drinks were watery, beer was not cold. We ordered Oysters on the half shell, they were so dirty to the point when we picked them up to eat them, our fingers were black, and the muscle wasn't cut from the shell. full of dirt. I wanted to leave after that, hubby talked me into staying. I ordered the Rib eye. It came out cold, AND overcooked and flavorless. Hubby's Filet was no better. The loaded mashed potatoes were cold and clumpy, vegetables were hard. We do not frequent Steak houses and I expected a high end meal. I was terribly disappointed from start to finish. When you screw up a bourbon & coke and serve oysters like that, it's just not right.
Fine Dining??
We went to have dinner with another couple. They had never been to Perry’s. We made our reservation which required a credit card. We’ve never been asked to do that. Then we made our request for a QUIET table and not in the main room, because the main room was so tight for seating. Our table was in the center of the room off the main area. I would consider this table not quiet. They did honor the room but missed quiet, Our experience at Perry’s has been that the tables are extremely close together, it’s not comfortable to anyone. I’m paying for a fine dining experience but I can be involved in a conversation next to me. Wait staff is squeezing through trying not to bump someone or spill something on the customer. This is a very uncomfortable situation. People are watching and waiting for something to happen when they should be focused on the evening. The food is great but dining experience is very poor. I have been to this location at least 4 times and have had the same experience every time. Normally I do not write reviews but felt that since my experience has been the same each time, I needed to write this review
It's a Great Place to Eat Dinner!
What a great place to have dinner! A coworker and I went to Perry's in Grapevine for dinner the week of 10/9/23. It wasn't cheap but it was so worth it! We started with 3 skewer option of their famous pork chop bites and we definitely could see why they were famous. We ordered a New York strip steak and a filet mignon. They were each cooked as we asked and to perfection. Seasoning was pleasant not overpowering and the bites almost melted in your mouth. The sides were grilled asparagus and the au gratin potatoes. Both were excellent and are family style so we were able to share. For dessert we ordered a chocolate crunch tower and bananas foster. Both are big enough to share and were excellent. Although they don't light your bananas foster up table side it was still worth ordering. The service was fantastic. Never pushy but always there when you needed them. Cocktails were very good and were not light. Overall we were very happy we chose to eat at Perry's while in town and will definitely go back when work sends us back to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
highly recommend!!
Let me start my review by saying that overall this was a very good experience. For an upscale steakhouse, I thought the prices were very reasonable, but if you are used to applebee's or chili's expect to pay quite a bit more. Remember, you get what you pay for. Our food was very good and the steaks were excellent! My lobster was a bit undercooked which was a disappointment. The sides are huge. The service was 5 star. Thanks, Caitlin!!! I am a bit of a steakhouse snob and ambience is sooo important for a steakhouse. I liked the interior of this place. It was very airy, open, modern and very clean. However, the noise was excessive and disappointing, more of a pancake house level! You're not going to get that quiet, intimate feel here. Everything came out so fast that we felt a bit rushed, but we were early diners. I'd bet the later crowd doesn't experience this. Nothing will deter me from returning or recommending this place. We spent four hundred dollars (our anniversary!!🤷 ♂️...& free dessert!!) for the two of us, but more than half of that was alcohol and tip. Thank you, Perry's... and 🤫 shhhhhh!
Great Place To Celebrate Birthdays Or Anything Else, And Superior Steaks!
This particular evening at Perry's Steakhouse was determined to be a special night, since I was celebrating my brother's birthday. And once my mom, my brother, and I arrived, it become simply that. The appetizer I got to experience was one of the finest I've ever tasted and seen, and that was the BBQ, bacon-wrapped shrimp on a cedar plank. Wonderful taste, and I may have come back alone just to got that entire order once again. Loved the blending of flavors. My main course consisted of a 10-ounce filet, and it was seared and prepared to perfection. I got loaded mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, and they were all fantastic together. There was also some good sourdough bread and magniferous whipped butter that was great for spreading. More than anything, the steak still won the day. Along with wine and tea to wash everything down, I got the most decadent dessert I've ever had: The Rocky Road bread pudding which had the powerful combination of caramel, butterscotch, chocolate chips, and marshmallow, and it all meshed together nicely with a delicious cup of coffee. Service throughout was superior, no matter who came to my table, but the one lady we had the entire time (and I forgot her name) was just marvelous and handled our birthday experience and helped make it memorable. Will I be back? Absolutely, and I might have to make several visits for several different things. It's not cheap, so be prepared to shell out a lot. The steaks are superior here, so that's worth it!
Greatest Steakhouse Experience
Well, where to begin.... this was the best steakhouse experience my wife and I have had to date, and we've been to a few. The service was fantastic, thank you Tre! They have amazing food at Perry's. My wife had the Chicken Oscar (chicken with lump crab meat on top) and I did their famous pork chop. Yall whe I say that's the best pork chop I have ever eaten.... you get three cuts from the pork carved at the table. Yes, I had to include pictures... lol Dessert, we did the orange cream cicle type cheese cake and this was excellent as well. Do go with making reservations, even during the week....if you'll be there on a Friday, safe the pork chop dinner for Friday $17 bucks vs. $49 any other time outside of Friday. They do have valet parking if you are looking for such a service... I could see using it if you are there later in the dinner service.
