OEB Breakfast Co. Burnaby Reviews from The Last Year

I came in there for a nice hardy breakfast they had no options for good healthy, good amount of food. It was all sausage eggs with a half, two option of adding pancakes, waffles, and French toast. I was not satisfied as there was no options for a good Hardy healthy breakfast. overpriced and small portions.

One of my favourite things is to go out for breakfast.
It's so nice that OEB has opened a new location in Willowbrook Mall. When first going in the restaurant you will notice the many happy faces enjoying a great meal with friends. The servers are fantastic and the artisan breakfasts are delicious. Would recommend.
We normally enjoy our experience here, but this time left
We normally enjoy our experience here, but this time left me feeling patronized, frustrated and ripped off. My wife ordered her benedict and the server asked if she wanted hash browns or salad. She said hashbrowns. I then ordered the lobster crepe and added "with hashbrowns", to save the server from having to ask me for my side. The meals arrived, but mine had an enormous bowl of hashbrowns in a seperate bowl. Thinking this is how they served this meal, we ate. It tasted fine. When the bill arrived I saw that they had charged me $7 for a LARGE size hashbrowns. I was confused, but paid the bill, thinking I had read the menu incorrectly. On the way out the door, I looked at the menu and nowhere does it say that the crepe breakfast does not come with hashbrowns. There also were no "add hashbrowns for $7", add salad for $5" options. Not only did our server recommend the meal to me in the first place, but she did not tell me that hashbrowns were an extra charge when I ordered them. I talked with the owner and manager and explained the situation, but they both gave me short, patronizing responses like "oh yes, that is confusing, we will look at our menu", but they made no offer to refund me the $8 (after tax) bowl of potatoes. I worked in the service industry for many years and this interaction reeked of unprofessionalism. I was obviously leaving unhappy and they made no move to make it right. I regret not demanding a refund from them in the moment and this review is my vent. Thanks for reading.
The food was absolutely amazing.
The service was great, our server gave us everything we needed. As always the wait was long but it's as expected because it's the weekend. My friends and I shared everything and it was the perfect amount of food. It was one of my friend's first time there and she loved it! This is by far my fav location for OEB. I had a bad experience at another location but this one makes up for it. The crowd in the restaurant wasn't too bad. It wasn't loud but wasn't quiet either. Def will recommend this to people visiting here !
Came for another great brunch.
The Tuna Crudo was such a surprise in a good way. Service is still attentive & timely and the space at the Brentwood location is pleasant on warm sunny days.
The food is amazing here and the staff are friendly.
It can be quite a long wait for a table so join the waitlist online.

I am happy that OEB offers online queuing service, so that we could start lining up for a table at home. It took us 1.5 hours to get our seat for two on a weekend, but we waited at home, so it's fine. However, be sure to double check the branch you line up for, because we saw a group of people lined up for the wrong branch. We ordered duck confit crostini and traditional Benny with Canadian bacon and waffle fries. Both dishes were delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the seasonings/ dressings were very well balanced! Will definitely return for more Sunday brunches!

This is my boyfriend's absolute favorite brunch place and I've been to this location so many times. Both the service and food are great every single time! Our waiters/waitresses were always so attentive and made sure we never have to wait too long for anything. I especially love the Yelp waitlist because that means we don't have to line up in person and can get into line as soon as we wake up. My fav dish is the Confit De Canard Breakfast Poutine with half arugula half potatoes. So good!!
Remains a great spot for breakfast/brunch at Brentwood.
Tried the beef bulgogi Benedict this time. Flavors were nice but dish came out a little cold. Enjoyed the coffee and the refills.

I finally got around to trying out this place and absolutely LOVED it. I tried the one toast, you toast and requested for a poached egg to be added. It was very delicious and I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu. I came here on a Monday around 12:30pm and it was definitely a little busy but they still had some empty tables enough for more people to be seated right away. There was no line up. I think they do have a waitlist option on Yelp but I don't think they take reservations so do keep this in mind

Have been revisiting 3 times with family to make sure if I was wrong about this popular place as it is so hard to get a seat. But no, I don't think the food was great enough for a line up like 30-60mins waiting. It is just a normal brunch place serve normal food. Tried almost all the popular ones on menu but nothing special.

Great place to brunch! I have frequently visited the one in yaletown, and honestly, I have to say I prefer this location as it is clean, bright, spacious, and less crowded. I came here for a birthday brunch with friends. We had the mimosa flights and it was great! I suggest starting with the grapefruit first. Otherwise, it might be too tart. I love the fresh ingredients and the way the food was prepared. The server was nice. I would say the blue crab benny is my favorite. Their salmon benny is pretty good too! I will definitely be back!

Wow. Extensive menu, lots of great choices and dishes and great service. We had to wait 45 mins for a table but Every dish we had was excellent. Chai latte was excellent. The only reason 4/5 stars was the price was very high for brunch for 4 people.
Always busy, always good.
We put ourselves on the waitlist via Yelp around 10am, and there was already an hour wait. We were seated around 11:10am. We got the duck club and gold digga. The duck club was delicious. The duck was tender, the hoisin mayonnaise gave it a light sweetness to go along with the pickled onions and the peppery arugula. It was on toasted rye bread, which was a bit too hard. If it was on a softer bun/bread, then I think it would be perfect. The gold digga was good. The Berkshire pork and black truffle goes well as you get the saltiness from the pork and the fruitiness from the truffle. You get 2 poached eggs. I asked for half arugula salad and half potatoes as the base. We would recommend these if you want something other than benny. Next time we go, we will try other dishes to see how they are.

3.5 Stars Busy on a Saturday Afternoon but we were able to snag seats at the bar. Pros: The menu is HUGE and has so many creative inventions and protein options (duck, crab, salmon, etc.) I had the A-Lott A-Lax "Poutine" - I subbed the potatoes with greens so it was essentially a salad with loc, eggs, cheese, and hollandaise. Hit the spot on a day I was trying to be "good" :) BF got the Belgian Waffle ($15) with Fresh Whipped Cream ($2) and said it was the "Best Waffle he has ever had". Nits: Vanilla Latte ($6.5) hardly had any foam and essentially no Vanilla BF ordered two scrambled eggs ($5) while the kitchen was closing and said they were just not good. I didn't try them so I don't have further details. Staff is so cheery and attentive!
Always love eating at OEB.
Since they opened in 2021, they've always been a go-to brunch spot for my family, friends and myself. Over the years, prices have slightly gone up (what's new though?), but the quality still remains top-notch. Just a tip, if you're visiting on a weekend, make sure to use the Yelp waitlist feature or book a reservation in advance because it's always busy!
Friendly service, fairly priced and good overall food my
Friendly service, fairly priced and good overall food my only complaint it's that when it gets busy it can get a bit messy from long waits to get a table to waiting extra for your food.
There's always a line at OEB regardless of what day or time
There's always a line at OEB regardless of what day or time you go, but obviously weekends are the worst. It's a great place for brunch, a bit on the pricey end, but the food is solid. I usually get a Benny cause their hollandaise is delicious - rich but not too heavy and balanced by the lemon juice - but I wish they came on something other than that croissant type bun. It's a bit flat and doesn't soak the egg yolks and hollandaise. Their duck fat fried potatoes are delicious, and I wish there were more of them on the plate! Their breakfast poutines are solid as well cause they're made with these delicious duck fat fried potatoes, covered in hollandaise, cheese curds and topped with a poached egg. The pork belly one is probably my favourite. Definitely worth checking out for brunch if you're in the areas, just be ready to wait in line!
