So we were really looking forward to this one as we noticed really long queues walking by one day. The decor is ok. Believe it or not, we actually lived not far from the real Tsukiji in Tokyo, precisely in Toyosu. So yeah the fish market ambiance is definitely there. However they should have opened a sushi restaurant instead which would fit the Tsukiji vibe. But the main issue is the food. The broth was wayyy too salty and the ramen was rather bland. I'd say do normal pork ramen or go for a sushi place because the food certainly does not make the cut.

What an incredible journey at Kodawari Ramen, not only regarding the extraordinary and exquisite menu options, but also the atmosphere that fully-immerses the guests in a Japanese scenario, in this case the Tsukiji Fish market of Tokyo. The Sardine Bomb ramen is particularly impressive, with its pungent fishy notes. All the fish used in the Ramen, but also in the starters, is not only fresh, but undoubtedly top notch quality, sourced from the best places you can get them. On top of all this, the elaborate techniques used by the skillful kitchen team, results in a one-of-a-kind ramen experience - or even Japanese full meal experience. Congratulations to the Founder Jean Baptiste for putting his heart and soul into this beautiful project ๐๐ป๐โค๏ธ

Amazing atmosphere, felt like in a real japanese market, was fun to sit near other people, almost everyone was speaking a different language so ir felt like i was not in Paris. Also very good ramen, - highly reccomend!!!

you should wait the line more than 1 hour, but the food is not tasty, oversolted, not fresh. If you can cross a street and spend 10 minutes more you can find the whole street of Asian food restaurants.

Really cool ambiance, you really go there for the insane decorations lol, more room would be nice, thereโs often no room to hang our coats. The food was nice and itโs not too expensive. The waiter was so rude though, like unbelievably rude (when we asked to pay separately by card he complained it was annoying etc), thatโs my take but they should hire asian waiters instead lol. You should come at 11:30 on weekdays though, i dont like to wait in line personally.

no reservations and prepare to wait if you arrive later than 7 pm. Menu is limited but dishes emblematic. Portions were good and taste very good. The decor is from out of this world as it seems like you are at fish market with the sounds and the elements around you. Prices are accessible. It was a good experience.
Be the first to ReplyA wonderful bowl of ramen, even with the salt
A compliment to the other Kodawari location, Kodawari-Tsukiji is meant to emulate the famous Tokyo fish market and is decorated as such. Seating is limited, packed and in demand; you can plan on waiting and getting bumped around while sitting. The service was friendly and efficient. The three of us enjoyed our ramen bowls. I thought the Lobster Mazeman was as satisfying as any dish could be though less salt would have been nice. The two Kodawari locations set a tough-to-beat price point with respect to pleasure/value.

Interesting decor. They decked out the entire restaurant so it feels exactly like dining in a fish market in Japan. From the staff uniform, to the fish in ice boxes to the toilet. The menu is limited, but the sardine ramen I got was very tasty. Expect long queues at all times though. Definitely worth a visit.
Be the first to ReplyWorth visiting for the atmosphere but not for food
Everytime I was passing by I was intrigued by the atmophere inside. So finally we've been there yesterday, on Monday hoping the queue would not be that big. It was ok before 7 p.m. but when we were going out there was already quite big queue.
Atmosphere is quite fun, but food is very basic and the sadest part that two of three of us got sick during the night. Because of the fish I suppose. Will never return there again.
Wait very long and but Taste is top!
I must remove a 2 Star! That give here bad star for 3 of 5. ๐ Because we are already waiting 1h for ramen. Another guest get very faster Ramen!
Not fair and naughty. ๐ But Ramen's Taste is not bad and very yummy! Gyoza is also good. ๐
