Used to come to this part of Highland Park a lot more and ETA's always been a fav. Recently went back and glad to say their cocktails are still on point. Wasn't that busy around 10pm on Friday and it ended up being a good spot to chat and catch up with friends. Bartenders were quick to make our drinks once ordered. Really like their version of mezcal negroni. Nothing Is Real was a surprising drink for me since I wasn't sure if I'd like the tarragon but it was very good. Overall good experience again!

Love this place! Many of LAs best jazz musicians play in this intimate room. The drinks are always great and we've never had any but the most friendly and accommodating bartenders. But musically, an LA gem.
Love this place for some late night drinks.

My friend and I went for happy hour (4-7pm when we went), and I love that they serve oysters for $1.50 each! We ordered 6 oysters each, and although they were small oysters I thought they were a decent quality for the price! My friend and I both loved to pair the oysters with the horseradish cocktail sauce, but we were given 2 sauces to try if that is not your preferred pairing with oysters. We also got the prosciutto & cheese board, and I appreciated the variety of ingredients that together created great flavor pairings! I do think that the price was a lot more than I expected for the dish, but with the deal for the oysters I wasn't upset about it. The ambiance of the restaurant is really cute, and I think I would order a drink as well when I come back! Street parking was readily available and made it easy to commute to this spot as well.

50 oysters for happy hour were a great deal! Oysters were a hit or miss - some were pleasantly plump and others had small bits of shell. My party of 4 had 4 oysters missing and when we asked if we could just have a refund on the order, the staff member "Lena" was very rude and dismissive. Even from the very beginning she showed attitude when we asked about the menu, rolling her eyes and refusing to acknowledge our existence. The rest of the staff members were helpful and understanding! As I am checking the other reviews, It's a shame that what could have been a lovely establishment has had its name continued to be tarnished due to Lena. I will unfortunately not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to any others.

PSA: IF YOU ARE A POC (Not Caucasian) DO NOT COME HERE!!! STAFF IS RUDE AND RACIALLY MICROAGGRESSIVE!! SPECIFICALLY a waitress named Lina or Lena. White girl with wavy hair that is SO rude and condescending. Came here super excited to eat the oysters and have a drink or two with my friends. First things first, oysters were OK, a little gritty but that wasn't enough to warrant a complaint or a bad review from me. Here's where my experience was ruined: Things were fine when we entered; we all got ID'd upon entering the establishment (I would like to note that my friends and I are Asian) which I didn't think too much of. However I noticed that she didn't ID ANYONE else walking in (who all HAPPENED to be white people). We went to order 6 dozen oysters and she gave us a dirty look and sighed as she put the order in. As the first half of the oysters got to us, and we had eaten it, we noticed we were short an oyster. Second half comes around, we notice we are short 3 more oysters. We finish our food and decide to say something to our waiter, wanting to be compensated for our 4 missing oysters. This is where the bitchiness just starts EXUDING out of Lina/Lena. She is excessively rolling her eyes, and speaking condescendingly to us, treating us as if we could not understand what she was saying. It was incredibly demeaning and the blatant discrimination was embarrassing and infuriating. I'm not one to write yelp reviews, but this just blew me out of the water in the worst way possible. I will never be coming back here until she is GONE, and looking at the other bad reviews, looks like my friends and I weren't her first victims. One of the WORST customer service experiences I've ever had, and I will be reaching out to the owner of this business. Hope they do what is best for the business and fire her.

Most of the bartenders and servers were great and helpful and the food was decent but I'll never be coming back because of one bartender "Lena". She was rude right when we placed our order and responded in a condescending tone when I asked questions about the menu. We had a large order and I understand that is difficult for the kitchen staff so we were missing a couple of oysters off of our order but when we went to point this out she cut us off and responded rudely. Another bartender had to step in and apologize for her actions as she walked away. Will not be coming back.

No. Absolutely not. Do not go here. I went in with a friend yesterday for a quick drink and we were met with the rudest bartender either of us have ever encountered. I'd like to preface by saying that I also work as a waitress and this is only the second Yelp review I have ever written. I understand if someone is having an off day or whatever, I really don't expect a lot. However, this bartender was so unpleasant that it ruined my entire day. So what happened? My friend and I went in and grabbed a seat at one of the high top tables by the bar. Because I've been here before I know that we have to go up to the bar to place our order. So we go stand by the bar and wait patiently while the bartender gets around to us. So far so normal. She turns to us and doesn't say anything at all, just looks at us expectantly, so I say "we'd like one margarita each on separate tabs and my friend also wants a seasonal tart please." I placed both of our orders because we were both getting margaritas. I knew it would save the bartender time to just make two margaritas at once rather than one at a time. Anyway, she doesn't say anything still but turns around and starts making drinks so my friend and I go sit down to wait so we're not taking up space at the bar. When they come up I hand her my card and say "just the one margarita on this one thanks." And she snatches the card from me and snaps "I got it" while literally rolling her eyes!! It was shockingly rude for absolutely no reason at all (and wait, it gets better!). Then my friend hands her her card. She brings the cards back but doesn't bring a receipt or anything so we're left wondering if she was keeping our tabs open or if there's just automatic gratuity. We were in a bit of a rush so we wanted to just close our tabs but the bartender was obviously not capable of communicating above the level of a toddler throwing a tantrum so we decided to finish our drinks and check after. Drinks finished, we go over to close our tabs and guess what, she charges my card for the drink and the tart. Now truly, this is not something that I would otherwise care about at all. My friend can just Venmo me. But after being treated like I was a complete idiot for reminding her, it was incredibly frustrating that she messed it up anyway. Of course she didn't say thank you or anything as we left. I don't go out and spend money to be treated like crap by a stranger and you shouldn't either. Don't even bother with this place.

I've been here multiple times and their happy hour deals can not be beat! They had $1 oysters, but now they are $1.50, still a great deal! I've always come during happy hour and never been disappointed with the food or drinks! The atmosphere is very trendy and it's in a great part of LA where parking is plentiful. I was going to give 4 stars but on my last visit in (9/22/23) I had one of the rudest bartenders I've ever experienced. I came in right after they opened and sat at the bar and asked for a soda water with lime, and then said I'd like to get a dozen happy hour oysters, but I could start with just 6 (because I know it takes awhile to shuck them). She started to open a bottle of sparkling water and I asked if she just had soda water from the fountain. She replied yes, but I needed to order something to get the happy hour deal and proceeded to open the bottle. Not a big deal, though if given the option I might had ordered something else. She brought me my 6 oysters and then refused to look at me ever again. Now I did not go out of my way to try to get her attention but I was sitting at the bar so I kept trying to catch her eye but she would not look towards me, and I wasn't the only one, other people were walking up to the bar to order and she was routinely keeping her back to them. Finally another employees saw me (he realized I was trying to get her attention) and offered to help. I told him I was just wondering if the kitchen was working on another 6 oysters for me because if not I'd like to get my check and just go as I'd been waiting quite awhile and honestly didn't want them anymore. She quickly turns around and says "you didn't order that from me" (suddenly she remembers I'm there) to which I replied that I had ordered 12 but it was totally fine I'd just like my check. Instead of letting it go she says "you said you wanted 6". So now I'm getting annoyed and I reply I wanted 12, I just wanted 6 right away but it's FINE I'd just like my check. The other employee starts apologizing and ringing me up, but this bartender will not let it go, she says "I assumed you would order another 6 when you were ready" (as if she gave me that option) and then says "how was I supposed to know that's what you meant". The other employee continues to apologize and I close out my check with him. It was just so bizarre to me that she had such an attitude. It wouldn't have been an issue, I understand her confusion and I ended up not wanting them anyways, but the tone she was speaking to me in surprising.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
