Dragon Beaux San Francisco Reviews from The Last Year
Yum! Soooo good.
Def crowded but worth the wait. This is some of the best Dim Sum I've ever had.
Very good dim sum place here.
Love the Peking ducks. It is definitely on the pricier side
Vulgar dim sum huge unmanageable pieces.
The only tasty dim sum was the stuffed eggplant. Geoduck chow fun awful . Geoduck lost
Wonderful dim sum presented in a beautiful restaurant.
For smaller groups, be sure to ask for the front dining room. Modern, colorful and fun. The staff is always friendly and clearly takes pride in the great food.
Good dim sum in a beautiful restaurant.
It helps to make a reservation here. Lovely interior design with nice touches. The menu has a wide variety of choices it's best time come with at least a few people so you can share more dishes to try out. Well-made steamed dumplings. We had vegetable & shrimp dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leaves, dried scallop congee (so silky!), wild mushroom & black truffle fried rice, Chinese broccoli perfectly cooked & cut, chicken feet, purple yam sweet buns, and custard tarts. Condiments such as mustard, soy sauce & hot sauce are served in little plastic take out containers, which is a bit strange but I guess it works better for the restaurant. They didn't have the savory fried donuts for the congee which was disappointing.
The service was great.
My friend and I got seated quickly during a busy lunch hour during spring break. The dim sums and beef noodle were delicious.

As someone who pleads to guilty to ordering an excess of delicious food, I was surprised to strike the perfect amount of dim sum during lunch at Dragon Beaux. Famously difficult to get a reservation, this restaurant boasts a combined approach to both high quality dim sum and hot pot. Luckily we made a noon reservation and were seated right upon arrival. In true casual Chinese dining fashion, we were seated at the same table as another party, which we did not mind at all--the more the merrier! We ordered five dishes, which did not disappoint. The shu mai, chang fen, and shrimp dumplings were solid classics. My favorite was definitely the sea bass dumplings; the filling was full of shrimp and juicy and steamed to perfection, encased in gooey rice wrapping. This dish was definitely the winner. Depending on the size and function of your party, this is a quick meal that satisfies all your dim sum cravings.
Incredible food.
Everything I ordered was divine. Great ambiance and lots of families enjoying their meals...a great mark of an amazing dim sum spot. I highly recommend. Can't wait to return.
First time here as every other time where so was previously
First time here as every other time where so was previously invited I had other plans. DB is an offshoot of Koi Palace in Daly City. For you Baby Boomers this location used to be as Fosters restaurant back in the 50s, 60s. and 70s. Walking in, I saw certain aspects of where the dining counter used to be and it looked liked the restaurant expanded. Dim sum overall was just 3 stars but some dishes were better then others. Chai siu steamed bows were like most Dim Sum places and potstickers were not to my liking. Service was excellent with Servers and Server Assistants working together to clear out any finished dishes as well as replenishing tea and the hot water for the tea pot. If You compare DB with Koi Palace, Koi would be it. Where I was sitting, there was black electrical tape covering up two depressions on the floor from whatever used to be under it. For the money one is paying to eat here they should fix it and make it look nice. Restroom was very clean and well stocked. Would I come back - perhaps but not on my dime as there are other places such as Harborview Restaurant located at Embarcadero 4 which is nicer - food wise and dining experience at a similar price point.
Overall a very mediocre meal Service was solid but slow.
The lag between dishes was very long. Flavors were all a bit off... Mapo tofu: too sweet, too much MSG Duck appetizer: Way too salty and too much oil Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce: too bitter Xiao long bao: rather gimmicky, I definitely would have preferred just five traditional pork dumplings. None of the other flavors (spinach, beet, turmeric, and squid ink) tasted good
Solid Dim Sum Spot
This is one of our favorite dim sum spots in the city! The service is quick and the food is fresh. Would definitely recommend making a reservation, and even then you will likely have to wait a few minutes because it gets so busy. If you're vegetarian make sure you're only selecting items that say (vegetarian) or ask your server.
Juicy xiao long bao the best
We came here 30 minutes before they opened and were the first in line. This place is so big that there were enough tables for everyone. Service was so quick that our items came in 10 minutes and then the next 10 mins after that. We were done eating in 30 minutes. Surprisingly they have the best xiao long bao next to DTF! We loved the juicy version over the 5 guys. The wrapper on the five guys were a bit thick and the fillings were a bit dry but the juicy version had the perfect consistency and super juicy! The siu mai and har gow were tasty and not too small or large. Everything was delicious. A bit more on the pricey side but worth it. Chicken feet was not the best dish here. Felt like it needed to be steamed longer as the skin did not easily fall off the bone. I love anything durian and had to get the deep fried puff durian which was an actual durian nugget! Also got the durian bao which was a sweet custard that I’ll pass on next time.
Excellent Chinese cuisine in San Francisco
Excellent Chinese cuisine in San Francisco, we tried many dishes and they were all delicious. The service was also excellent and very friendly. A must try for those who love Chinese cuisine.
Never Again
The worse ever experience in my life. I am 63. Nothing was good, the potstickers 🥟 were the worse ever. The beef lo mein was soooo sooo Bad.. I will never return to this place at 5700 Geary Blvd in San Francisco.
