The shrimp cocktail and tableside Greek salad are a must. Pretty disappointed by the spicy salmon crispy rice based on all the rave reviews. The rice was soggy and the overall dish was just bland. Sadly the bone in ribeye wasn't all that great either. Although it was cooked perfectly, it was definitely lacking in flavor. The lobster mac and cheese was loaded with lobster and definitely worth the price. All 3 cocktails we ordered were perfect and the service, although slow, was not bad. The ambiance here is probably one of the best aspects of the restaurant. Dimly lit, huge space, and beautiful decor. Definitely worth a visit but probably wouldn't return as there are better steaks in LA.

Steak was deplorable, gamey. Make no mistake: This is no Capital Grille. The dessert was flavorless. Service was friendly but not particularly attentive. At least 5 managers walking around, not a one visited the table. The room is nice, the musicians accomplished, and the support staff is caring. Thus the extra star.

The service from Lisa was amazing. I definitely would love to come back here next time i'm in the area. We started with the steak tartare and the spicy salmon crispy rice both, loved the salmon. The steak tartare was the first time i ever tried it and it was okay. For my entree I got the swordfish herb marinated with a side of broccolini which was amazing, definitely would order again. my bf got the Wagyu tasting which was my first time trying Wagyu and it was amazing so good. lastly for dessert we got the butterscotch pot de creme which i loved and now craving it again, and then the powdered beignets which came with a vanilla, coffee and chocolate dipping sauce (vanilla was the best). I also got the sakura cocktail which was sweet but still very good and then a bottle of La Moussiere sb which was a very good wine. And to end the night I got the nightcap which wasn't my favorite, I should've got the espresso martini instead which i was dying to try but just completely forgot about. Would definitely love to come back here! :)

Happy to be here! Actually came a couple years ago so it was refreshing. Ballet is about $14 which is really good for Westwood. Restaurant is so nice and they have beautiful music playing when you walk in. The hostess got a seated in about five minutes. During dinner time they dim the lights very low and it gives it such a true vibe. It's so romantic Friday night. I came on my birthday and they gave me a beautiful birthday card. My steak was cooked perfectly and I really loved the flavor of the lamb chop lollipops. I wish the lobster macaroni and cheese had a bit more lobster than the Caesar salad was so tasty and flavorful.

Let's start with the only aspect of Baltaire which makes it an iffy to get it out of the way. The lighting. Fortunately, the dining area is better lit but if you want to pop in for a quick cocktail and small eats at the bar or lounge just know the room will be dim. It's all part of the vibe, but if you're looking for a place with good lighting I would look for other spots in the area. That being said, the service is great. The food is solid. The ambiance is intimate and lively. The noise levels are determined on your timing so if you want to hear each other go on the earlier side of the early evening (4-6 pm). Definitely a great spot for any and all occasions.

We had a "light" dinner here a couple of weeks ago.
There were 6 of us. The setting is beautiful (one of the nicest looking interiors in LA) and the service was great. We had: Seafood Tower - 5/5: One of the best seafood towers, everything tasted great (and the shrimp are huge!). Comes with oysters, shrimp, lobster and king crab. Bone-in Ribeye - 5/5: Cooked perfectly and so full of flavor. Lobster Risotto - 5/5: Probably the best risotto I've ever had. Dover Sole - 3.5/5: A bit of a miss compared to the other foods. Just okay, not a whole lot of flavor or anything unique about it. We had some sides as well, but I don't really remember. Overall a great meal, and we'll definitely be back.

Not gonna lie it was a LOT of food - but so worth it and the service was attentive. Favorite app was the zucchini bread and favorite main was surprisingly kc's French toast

Gorgeous dinner at Baltaire. The meat was perfect (taste and cook). Amazing selection of wines from all over the world. Sure you will fine the good wine for your donner there.

Excellent experience at Baltairés it's rare to have meat that arrives hot, even simmering, and so good. The desserts were succulent, with a special mention for the "BUTTERSCOTCH POT DE CRÈME", which was Jimmy. The wine selection is fantastic, with an international wine list. The service was impeccable, the waiters very attentive and the sommelier's advice very good. Great restaurant with a very intimate decor. We'll be glad to come back the next time we're in Los Angeles.
Never disapppoints!
This is our favorite places for dinner in Brentwood. Our server (Kynnedy D--our favorite) was attentive and humorous. The food was delicious as always: one petite filet mignon, one filet trio, and one Boston Bibb salad. We loved our wine--Chateau De Parnay, "Le Blanson," Saumur Champigny, Loire Valley, France. The ambiance is lovely as well. Do make a reservation as we've never dined here without one, and the place is always bustling.

The service and food were amazing. Baltaire was intimate and worth every minute there. My only issue was trying to see the menu was difficult as we needed more light. And our wonderful server, Charles? Tall and handsome dripping in bling, lol. I think that was smhis nane. He was so gracious to provide more light. I'm sure we got on his last damn nerve. But he made my birthday evening memorable as I'm sure we did his. The food, my rib eye, was the freaking best steak I've had in a while. Shit, everything was fire. The cocktails, the dessert, and those salmon and crispy rice bites, guurrrrllll, I would be at this place every day just for those. Fun times for sure. Check them out, you will not be disappointed.

Such a great beautiful restaurant the ambiance and music cannot be beat! The food is incredible, the steak, mushrooms, oysters and artichokes were incredible. The service was ok, we were left alone a lot and then our waitress was super super chatty. The only thing I didn't like was: the timing of the courses and that everyone working there kept trying to take our plates while we were eating? Like anytime we put a fork down they would swoop in for our plates, even if they were full of food. However 10/10 would come back!

Unfortunately this place was so loud we could barely hear our own conversation, which was very odd since it wasn't very crowded at the time. The service was very inconsistent as well, but we just chalked it up to the volume of the background noise as they still managed to fulfill our requests after some clarifications.

We had the bone-in ribeye, brocollini, and whipped olive oil potatoes and all are delicious!! Also had eagle rock west coast oysters as part of the appetizer. Service - full service and good! Ambiance - classy and loud especially at dinnertime. Make your reservations as we waited for over a couple of hours. It's a good place for socializing and having a great dinner too!! Lots of convo and is happening. Bar area is big. Fine dining in LA near Brentwood in San Vicente. Big baller area for sure. Just bring your Ferrari and your Channel bags. You'll need to back up your flex. Valet in the front but metered street parking can be had. But don't let this deter you because it's a good place to visit even if you want to have a drink and some appetizers, coffee, and some desert. Casual but dress like a dapper or understated baller. Don't know if this place attracts certain type or class of people, but certainly seems to in my opinion. See or be seen!

Came here for my husband's birthday last week and we were so extremely surprised by how great our experience was. I received an email asking who's birthday it was, so when we arrived, the staff right away wished my husband a happy birthday and sat us right away. There was a beautiful birthday card on the table and our server, Danielle, came over right away and introduced herself and wished my husband a happy birthday. Danielle was absolutely fabulous and really made our entire experience unforgettable. The food was also amazing. My brother had the Wedge salad and said it was the best he's had. My husband and I shared the Greek salad that was made table side and we really enjoyed it. We were also surprised that it was big enough for two. I had the Ora King Salmon and it was amazing - it was crispy on the outside and was like butter on the inside and was a generous portion! My husband had the pan seared salmon with pea risotto and that was great also. My brother had the Lollipop lamb chops and said they were great. The portions were very generous. We couldn't decide on a wine, so Danielle brought a taste of the two different wines we were thinking of. I was so thankful because I usually get a Pinot Noir but tonight I really liked the Syrah better. Throughout the entire meal, Danielle was absolutely amazing. She was kind and funny and treated us as if we were everyday VIP customers. I must say we were a little skeptical expecting super high prices for very little food, but was so pleasantly surprised at how great everything was, especially Danielle. She made our evening extra special and we can't wait to come back again soon. Thank you, Danielle for such a memorable evening and making my husbands birthday so special! You're the best!!

Baltaire was the site of our most recent bros dinner. Nothing like a good bros dinner. As Michael Scott once said, "Bros before hos. Why? Because your bros are always there for you. They have got your back after your ho rips your heart out for no good reason." The 3 bros sat down in the beautiful open air patio on a nice evening with no humidity. Gotta love LA. The feng shui in here is immaculate, as it just feels like a completed space with no clutter. Everything is as it should be. First and foremost, I need to shout out our waiter Jose. He was JOKES! Engaging with our un-witty banter and humor, just a good people person overall. He also had some great recommendations for wine and food, URGING us to get the octopus as a starter and what a fantastic call it was. Jose even played along with us as we asked what wine he recommended when we were just going to get the cheapest one anyway ahahahaha. We are on the come up but the bros aren't there yet! For starters, we went with the aforementioned octopus, the tuna tartare, and a mix of west/east coast oysters. I'm biased but west coast oysters are LIKE THAT. Apps were fantastic, no misses there. For mains, 2 of the bros got the filet mignon and one got his RARE like a psychopath. He dug his heels in the sand and said that at a good steakhouse you should always order rare. I couldn't disagree more, but this type of civil discourse is what pushes our society forward. He also grew up on a sheep farm so maybe he does have a bit more credibility than me... I always ask for affogato for dessert even though it's rarely on any menu and, much to my chagrin, most times they say they can't do it. Jose met my request with a furrowed brow, light smile, and a quick head nod while saying "Of course" in a tone as confident as Floyd Mayweather when talking about any potential opponent. THANK YOU JOSE THAT AFFOGATO SLAPPED. After dinner, the bros hopped in an uber and ended up playing Super Smash Bros and Rocket League into the wee hours of the night. A true bros night. IG @jnov_

Save you sanity
Arrived on time for our reservation. Were made to wait 35 min in the extremely loud and full bar that had live music reminiscent of a bad 80s cruise ship band. Nobody could hear themselves think as people who arrived for later reservations were sat before us. We finally found the manager who was not very apologetic or nice for that matter, he went to the host stand and arranged for us to be brought to our table. The servers were not very attentive came 2 times throughout, one of them mentioned she was so sorry it was so loud and she had to shout at us. Nice right? The food was fine, not the most mind blowing, but also not awful. The drinks were ok, nothing to write home about. I don’t think I’ve ever felt less comfortable at a dining experience, so if anyone wants to shout at their friend to maintain a dinner convo, get treated like garbage by the employees, and have mediocre food/drinks while being a captive audience to a bar mitzvah style rendition of a Jackson 5 song while trying to enjoy a ‘Michelin’ rated meal, Baltaire is gonna be your jam!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
