Omg!!! What a night.
The service and food were amazing. Baltaire was intimate and worth every minute there. My only issue was trying to see the menu was difficult as we needed more light. And our wonderful server, Charles? Tall and handsome dripping in bling, lol. I think that was smhis nane. He was so gracious to provide more light. I'm sure we got on his last damn nerve. But he made my birthday evening memorable as I'm sure we did his. The food, my rib eye, was the freaking best steak I've had in a while. Shit, everything was fire. The cocktails, the dessert, and those salmon and crispy rice bites, guurrrrllll, I would be at this place every day just for those. Fun times for sure. Check them out, you will not be disappointed.

Such a great beautiful restaurant the ambiance and music cannot be beat! The food is incredible, the steak, mushrooms, oysters and artichokes were incredible. The service was ok, we were left alone a lot and then our waitress was super super chatty. The only thing I didn't like was: the timing of the courses and that everyone working there kept trying to take our plates while we were eating? Like anytime we put a fork down they would swoop in for our plates, even if they were full of food. However 10/10 would come back!

We went for a light early dinner and ordered the oysters, steak tartare with sourdough, filet mignon tasting with mushrooms, and powdered beignets. All in all, dishes were good. Not great, but good. Unfortunately this place was so loud we could barely hear our own conversation, which was very odd since it wasn't very crowded at the time. The service was very inconsistent as well, but we just chalked it up to the volume of the background noise as they still managed to fulfill our requests after some clarifications.

We had the bone-in ribeye, brocollini, and whipped olive oil potatoes and all are delicious!! Also had eagle rock west coast oysters as part of the appetizer. Service - full service and good! Ambiance - classy and loud especially at dinnertime. Make your reservations as we waited for over a couple of hours. It's a good place for socializing and having a great dinner too!! Lots of convo and is happening. Bar area is big. Fine dining in LA near Brentwood in San Vicente. Big baller area for sure. Just bring your Ferrari and your Channel bags. You'll need to back up your flex. Valet in the front but metered street parking can be had. But don't let this deter you because it's a good place to visit even if you want to have a drink and some appetizers, coffee, and some desert. Casual but dress like a dapper or understated baller. Don't know if this place attracts certain type or class of people, but certainly seems to in my opinion. See or be seen!

Came here for my husband's birthday last week and we were so extremely surprised by how great our experience was. I received an email asking who's birthday it was, so when we arrived, the staff right away wished my husband a happy birthday and sat us right away. There was a beautiful birthday card on the table and our server, Danielle, came over right away and introduced herself and wished my husband a happy birthday. Danielle was absolutely fabulous and really made our entire experience unforgettable. The food was also amazing. My brother had the Wedge salad and said it was the best he's had. My husband and I shared the Greek salad that was made table side and we really enjoyed it. We were also surprised that it was big enough for two. I had the Ora King Salmon and it was amazing - it was crispy on the outside and was like butter on the inside and was a generous portion! My husband had the pan seared salmon with pea risotto and that was great also. My brother had the Lollipop lamb chops and said they were great. The portions were very generous. We couldn't decide on a wine, so Danielle brought a taste of the two different wines we were thinking of. I was so thankful because I usually get a Pinot Noir but tonight I really liked the Syrah better. Throughout the entire meal, Danielle was absolutely amazing. She was kind and funny and treated us as if we were everyday VIP customers. I must say we were a little skeptical expecting super high prices for very little food, but was so pleasantly surprised at how great everything was, especially Danielle. She made our evening extra special and we can't wait to come back again soon. Thank you, Danielle for such a memorable evening and making my husbands birthday so special! You're the best!!

Our waitress was Pari. Very attentive... she was patient with us and when we said we needed to hurry and catch a movie.. she wanted to make sure we got our complimentary anniversary dessert. The ambiance was surprisingly loud. But not bothersome at all. It gave us a positive ,live feel. It sure was busy with many groups from friends to couples. It still was classy place to take a date out. Bit dark, booths were close together but spacious enough for I would say a hundred people in the house. I give the food 4 stars only bc the they gave us was as hard as a rock. The appetizer we ordered was salmon on crispy rice for $32 . It came with 5 pieces. That was crispy and flavorful. . The $200 tomahawk came next.. 40 0z rib eye. did not disappoint. We shared a medium well rib eye. So juicy and tender. Already sliced. We qaso got the macaroni and cheese with added lobster. This was yummy but nothing different from other places. All in all 4.5 stars. Let's round it out to 5. Only bc I loved the service and the rib eye. Thank you Baltaire in Brentwood, ca.

I went and had a nice dinner with my boyfriend. After, we went to the bar area to hang with friends. I was in the bathroom when they announced "last call" but one of the bar tenders said he would still get me a drink. Then, his manager came upto us and said no way. He then proceeded to pour two drinks for another guest and so my boyfriend asked what the big deal was if he was clearly still serving drinks to others. He then said "I told you, Dawg, no more drinks, get your boy outta here" to me. I will never return. The bar manager was a bald , short hispanic man.

Asked for medium rare for bone in ribeye and comes out well done. Waiter takes it back and brings back another ribeye 2 minutes later that was medium. You pay almost 100 bucks for bone in rib-eye you would expect them to get it right.

I love the ambiance, the service is always good and I usually go for dinner and always really enjoyed the food. This was my first time going there for lunch. We ordered chopped salad which was ok, nothing extraordinary, and for main course I ordered the burger and for the first time I was disappointed. I ordered to be cooked medium but it looked burned and not very appetizing. My friend ordered the open face steak sandwich which also looked kind of dry, the other friend ordered sea bass sandwich which looked good and she was happy with it. I guess because of my previous experiences I had a high expectation from this place so I am not sure if the dinner menu is better or we just had a bad day there.Should I go back for lunch? I don't know......

You will most likely need to valet. Host: sat us down immediately, not waiting. Table: big round table for a party of 4 , meaning it was spacious. Noise level: loud, all you hear are people chattering , which is understandable. Food: you can tell the quality of the food is VERY good, but I felt that the chefs they have do not cook things as good as other steak houses. They either under cook or over cook. That was a bummer.Cocktails: TERRIBLE, no alcohol, it was juice like. Service: the waiters and bussers are very helpful and attentive. Despite all of the above I only give this place 3.5 stars because I've experienced better and I came in with high expectations.

Just an absolutely spectacular steakhouse with an incredible wine list. I love that they also have local wines available. You can't leave there without tasting their tartare their oysters, their incredible steak trio and their insane onion rings. Their sommelier David is so intelligent and really knows a lot about his wines. So if you're ever nervous or do not know what to pick, he can absolutely help you out. I love coming here just to grab a drink on a casual weekday or weeknight evening at the bar which is always so lively and often has live music. I also enjoy coming here to celebrate special events with the family.

The decor and service is always impeccable. If you have an important event, a private room is the way to go. It can be quite loud for dinner.

I was looking for a special place for Valentine's day, and boy did this place disappoint. I'm lucky my girlfriend has the same standards for food as me and we've been dating a year because otherwise i'd be embarrassed to take anyone else here. this place is the epitome of having dollars but no sense. the food is so mediocre. they're milking the valentines day crowd for all they're worth and hoping they're too proud or self conscious to call out the dryness of the steaks, the cheapness of the pasta, and the overpriced wine. if you're an LA hotshot wannabe who wants to spend money for very little in return, this is the spot for you. but if you're with anyone with any discernible taste buds in their mouth, your money can be spent elsewhere.

The atmosphere was beautiful but the my meal, the chicken, was mediocre at best. But what really set the night off was the waiter barging into the middle of our conversation to share the daily specials. Come on guys. This is Waiter101 stuff. Was it really that important to cut the three of us off in the middle of a conversation to tell us about the fish of the day. Just swing back around in a few minutes when there is a pause in the conversation. This is not Denny's and one should expect more from a $$$$$ restaurant. To be fair, my two friends enjoyed their meal, so maybe it's just me.

We spent over $7,000 in this restaurant and it was one of the worst dining experiences ever. Do not book this restaurant for private dining. If you've got a birthday, anniversary, or any type of celebration coming up and have been eyeing this restaurant for a private dining experience, I would highly suggest you look elsewhere. Last month, we booked one of their dining rooms for a 25-guest dinner in celebration of a very special occasion for one of my clients. The night was booked about 4 weeks in advance. Upon arriving to the restaurant, we noticed they had only designated two servers for our entire room. We thought, "two servers for 25 people seems a bit understaffed." And we were right. We quickly noticed that the restaurant did nothing to prepare for our arrival as the kitchen staff, the serving staff, and the bartending staff were all incredibly overwhelmed. The food came out terribly late and some of the guests even complained the food had been sitting out in the kitchen, resulting in a cold meal. The drinks took forever and our two servers were running around everywhere. The dessert was the worst part. We had booked 2.5 hours at the restaurant before we had to leave for our next event. The food took so long to come out, we did not have enough time for dessert. We overstayed our reservation 30 minutes, and the dessert had still not arrived. As we were preparing to leave, the dessert finally came around and it was two sad little tarts. Guests either quickly woofed them down or left them there at their place setting. Although the two servers profusely apologized at every turn, it did not shake the fact that we had spent over $7,000 for an unprepared establishment to ruin the night. An incredible waste of money and a mistake we will never make again at Baltaire. A few days later, we called their private dinning manager who assisted us in booking, Elyse Swanson, to ask for an explanation. She said she would get back to us. We've given her several weeks and she has not. This would be a 1-star review, but the extra star comes from our very wonderful servers who did the best they could do under disappointing management.
