ASTOUNDING EXPERIENCE
Awesome service. Couldn't ask for anything more The food was wonderful. The catering personnel was soo welcoming. Definitely coming back for more
Be the first to ReplyPoor service
I was staying at the Pendry hotel and decided to visit Zou Zous on our first night. The food was very interesting and packed with flavour, excellent cocktails too. The problem was the service. Our waitress although pleasant enough didn’t seem really bothered about serving us and it was very difficult to get her attention whenever we needed something as she was constantly chatting with various staff and always with her back to us. When we asked for the bill, we waited ages for her to take it and bring our change. She never showed up, and so we just left the money on the table. As we left I saw her in the kitchen chatting to other staff and eating. I have been to the states many times and would say this is probably the worst service I have received, in a country that prides itself on good service. Very disappointing as the service in the hotel is outstanding
Be the first to ReplyNice for a casual meal in NYC
We went there for lunch. It is a nice option for a casual light meal in NYC. The food had an oriental influence and was tasty. Service was a little bit confusing but did not spoiled the experience.

Food and service were excellent! I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. Our server was friendly, efficient and made great recommendations. The dips appetizer was great, especially loved the feta and eggplant with crudite and warm fluffy pita. The grilled chicken is moist and flavorful. The dessert was one of the best I’ve ever had - a baklava cheesecake with a phyllo crisp on top. The cheese is sweetened ricotta balls layered between baklava. Delicious!!!!

Food and service was excellent! We didn't have reservations and it was crowded on a Saturday night but manager managed to get us a table. Our server was so friendly she was very generous with the wine pours. The food tasted so fresh and lots of healthy options. Great appetizers and share plates. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect family restaurant
Great meal with amazing service. Half of the family had meat and chicken and the other half the seafood. I am part of the seafood half and the lobster, branzino and oysters were all worth ordering again
Be the first to ReplyChez Zou- chez FAB
FABULOUS from the minute we walked in with the lovely hostesses, vibe, atmosphere, and aesthetic. The interior is gorgeous but it was a beautiful night so we asked to sit at their lovely outdoor roof. Comfy seating, large umbrellas, string lights added to the charm. Our waitress was personable and gave great service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Be the first to ReplyWow, it was fabulous!
We usually do not come into Manhattan for dinner. Decided to take a friend's recommendation to eat at Zou Zou. From the moment we walked in we knew that it was going to be a fine experience. The decor and atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. You can't eat atmosphere. So here is where it gets special. The food, from start to beginning, was marvelous. Plenty of it. Dessert was delicious. And, the wait staff were top of the line. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food, excellent service
Friends made the reservation, we are glad they did. The service was first rate, with caring people that understand hospitality. The outdoor dining was where it was at for us, for it was much less noisy than the indoor scene. The Duck Borek (I had seen Sweeny Todd that afternoon and wanted a meat pie) and Moroccan Fried Chicken were the stars, and we are glad our server recommended it. Not cheap, not outlandishly expensive....just right for a night of fine dining. Dinner for five, including three drinks and one bottle of wine was $ 400 before tax and tip....and excellent value. We would go back again in a second...especially if we had that outdoor seating.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food & ambiance
We celebrated our 24th anniversary there: they were so attentive and sweet. Offered us a glass of champagne to begin with, and had a hand written note waiting for us at the table. The food was absolutely delicious: for appetizers we had three of the dips (eggplant, zucchini and carrot) then tuna tartare (delicious but just a touch too spicy), and the Manti (beef dumplings on a yogurt bed with caramelizadme onions, MUST have). For our mains we had the lobster kebab (so good and inventive) and the crystal valley chicken (the little onion cups it comes with are superb). The wadi run jeweled rice is amazing for a side, another must. We topped it off with the Kataifi cheesecake (not to call home about, but certainly different, loved the presentation though). The space is beautiful, open kitchen on one side, bar at the opposite end, as well and the ambiance was just right. Loved it. Will go back.

We were dining here with friends who live in NYC. What a great place. Great atmosphere, good service, fantastic choice of food. We went with sharing plates and had an amazing time.
Be the first to ReplyLively Mediterranean restaurant
Had much fun and good eats and drinks in this buzzy restaurant. Delicious Mediterranean dishes. Strongly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTremendous dining option in Manhattan West
Excellent food and bar, attentive service. The fried chicken is a “must have”, the other menu items we sampled were equally as sumptuous.

Arrived a few minutes early for a reservation. Was asked to wait at the bar - except there was no space at the bar. We were then taken to the counter overlooking the open kitchen work area. The bad design meant I had a seat overlooking behind the work area and the kitchen door constantly swinging open. The waitress was nice and did her best but execution was lacking. She got my friend's drink order wrong and one side dish never arrived. The food was good but not spectacular. The wine list was absurdly expensive. The crowd was rather tacky - very B&T and Eurotrash tourists. Very typical of what is wrong with so many restaurants in NYC these days.
Be the first to ReplyVery original Meditarean Cuisine in the Heart of NYC
Super tasty and original Meditarean inspired cuisine. Tried their bread, Fatouch and lamb tartare which all were amazing. Great and original cocktails
Be the first to ReplyBirthday Celebration
Celebrated my daughter's 15th birthday at Zou Zou's. It was a fantastic experience for our family of four. The food was amazing. We had the Lavash Crisps and Tahini and Whipped Ricotta Dips to begin with. Then had the mezze plates of Hot Kasseri cheese, Our Manti, Crystal Valley Chicken and Grilled Branzino. We dined in many restaurants while in the US A for five weeks and Zou Zou's would be in the top 3 for the delicious food and great service.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a disappointment
Was staying at the Pendry for 4 nights and waited till my departure day to try ZZ for a lunch - what a let down. Service was slow, I had to move tables as when I first sat down no one served me for 20mins….. Menu very limited - all based around mezze dishes but unclear on size and what to order - the fried meatballs were ok but meant to be on a bread which never appeared, the salad was awful - red cabbage in lemon drizzle and not much else Wines ok No real substance….they do a burger, but where are the proper meals - no fish, no chicken, no steak - just skewers on the salad….I don’t want salad for lunch I want a proper 3 course meal…. Desserts? Sorbet and pineapple- where is the chocolate bomb or crumble…..?? lightweight dishes…. Now I’ll need a dinner as well!

We had a wonderful dinner and experience at Zou Zou's. Unique dishes. The lamb was fabulous, great wines and desserts. The staff was super attentive and gracious. We were so thankful we got in. M. Henry recommended us- A++++++++
Be the first to ReplyLove the dips
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The dips were the highlight. Get all 5. We tried the manta which we liked and the duck borek which was tasty and different. Service was excellent and the place is elegant. Great place to celebrate a special event.
Be the first to ReplyLoved our lunch today!
Grabbed lunch at the bar today. So glad we did. Great bartenders making hand crafted cocktails. Our margaritas did not disappoint. And the Zou Burger was AMAZING! Perfect spot when visiting Hudson Yards.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely wonderful meal and experience!
We had a delicious meal in a beautiful restaurant with superb service! Cannot beat that! Our party of 4 started in one of their two bars. We sat by a fireplace in a golden, beautiful room. Very cozy and great service. We even met the manager a few times who was very amiable. When our table was ready, the walk into the restaurant fantastic! What a beautiful space. Very lively and full of patrons on a Thursday night. All the staff was masked by the way and we were checked for our vaccines. The dips were terrific (eggplant, riccota, and chick pea) and delicious, we ordered more bazlama - so good! For dinner we ordered two meals, chicken and sea bass, and two sides, rice and broccoli. All was delicious! And we had enough to take some of the chicken home. My son even had that the next day and said it was great! Our waitress was so attentive the whole night. Three bottles of wine later, we had a great time! Service was some of the best we ever had and the food was as well - very well seasoned and prepared. Will definitely be back - do not hesitate to make a reservation!!
Be the first to ReplyWorst Service in New York City
Oh where to begin. Zou Zou's is located in the Pendry Manhattan West hotel. As hotel guests, the hotel concierge made us a dinner reservation. Our waitress had zero interest in waiting on our table, and was generally handled us disgustingly in a discriminatory manner. The Pendry is not an inexpensive rental, we had been eating at only high end restaurants and at Zou Zou's we were marginalized by a waitress?! We ordered drinks and after realzing that this would be a 3 hour experience if our needs were even met. The waitress would claim she couldn't hear me, would keep her back to me when she waited on the diners to my left and ignored any attempt to address her appropriately. My dinner partner was able to go to the room, order and receive room service (steaks cooked to temperature mind you) and then come down to get me still waiting to settle the check. All the while the diners on our left enjoyed three courses and the diners on our right enjoyed an extended dinner, conversation and drinks. When I recieved the check I was not even provided the courtesy of a pen. Deplorable.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food, but absurdly expensive wine list
The most important thing in any restaurant is the food (or at least it should be) and the food here is excellent, with interesting and tasty blends of Mediterranean cuisines being served from an open kitchen. We ignored the rather expensive specialties and ordered a series of mezze to share. The portions weren't huge but were adequate. Also on the plus side, I'd add a diverse crowd that managed to be lively without producing the horrendous noise levels that ruin most New York restaurants meals.
On the other side of the ledger, I'd point out that the restaurant is on the edge of the Hudson Yards development in a setting that's more Dubai than New York.
But the main negative is the delirious prices on the wine list. The cheapest bottle I saw was $95, with most well over $100 for wines for which you'd pay maybe 15 euros in a European supermarket.
All in all, a pleasant dinner, but I'd recommend sticking to tap water.
An incredible pleasant surprise
This turned out as the highlight of our recent trip. Delicious food from the open kitchen with the wood burning grill and impeccable service along with a new approach to Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Cuisine. We certainly will be back!
Be the first to ReplyLovely and delicious
Located in Mid Town East, this newly opened restaurant has a lovely interior, large menu, and a diverse crowd. They graciously comped a bottle of champagne for us and was very welcoming. The variety of spreads was delicious (my favorite being the cilantro one) as were the salads, fried chicken, and rack of lamb. The flaming cheese was eh but I think there’s nothing you can really do about it bc it’s for show. The cabbage and walnut salad was my favorite. With all the spices in the food, the also spicy Tempranillo wine paired beautifully.
