Not worth it
Couldn’t believe I just paid $45 for this. Super disappointed. Dun go near the place. It’s not worth it. Unless u want to be ripped off.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food but worth the price?
The quality of food was amazing. Service staff were average, doing the basics of their job. The price and portion, I'm not sure of. It was pricey in my opinion and the portions were small so we had to order quite a bit to fill us up
Be the first to ReplyWe enjoyed our butter chicken and garlic naan
My husband and I enjoy a good butter chicken with naan. Having been in Asia for two weeks, we wanted some Indian food at some point so our last night in Singapore, we went to Zaffron Kitchen. Zaffron is located on East Coast Road across the street from our hotel and is a Michelin bib gourmand eatery. Once acknowledged, we were seated promptly without a reservation. We satisfied our craving by ordering the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan. I also added the passion fruit lassi to the order. The food took more than a few minutes to come out and we were hungry. My husband and I devoured the chicken, rice, and naan. The lassi was refreshing and cooled my palette. We brought our own bottle of water so we didn’t have to pay for it. Service was okay. Definitely worth a go, if you’re a fan of Northern Indian food.

The ambience was poor, food taste was average. The free meal for kids seems like a promo gig since it has few chicken nuggets and fries so not an actual meal for kids.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Food
We loved the food, the Tandoori mixed grill was excellent. Have used GRAB to order food to eat at home many times, the food's always good. But it was even better coming straight from kitchen to table.
Be the first to ReplyService issue
The food was ok but ambience not good.. Service was bad.. There was no one to serve properly.. Had to be loud to call the waiters
Be the first to ReplyGreat North Indian food
We ordered the Michelin set for 4. It was a good intro to North Indian Tandoor cuisine. Loved the naans and briyani rice! Will definitely come back again. Restaurant can get quite noisy and crowded. Bring a jacket, the aircon is cold!

This was most favorite place for me and my colleague but this visit and last visit was very disappointing. Service has downgraded very significantly. They gave us corner place which was very hot, we cannot find person to ask help, every time I have to go to counter and ask the things we need.
Be the first to ReplyAlways fantastic food
I went with 3 Indian colleagues and they all loved it. I usually go over lunch time and chose a lunch set which is a fantastic deal.
Be the first to ReplyGood!
Food was amazing as usual. I’ve been there a couple of times and staff are friendly. A digital menu would be good for table orders and payment in terms of efficiency as staff as always busy
Be the first to ReplyDinner at Zaffron Kitchen @ East Coast Branch, Singapore
This is my number ONE favourite Northern Indian Restaurant of all time, period! Kudos to Chefs Sanuar and Kamrul for the dishes and the impeccable table service from Hannah and Kevin. I highly recommend the mutton biryani, garlic naan, butter chicken, lamb shank, chicken tandoori, chicken tikka, jaipuri and lassi, and many many more excellent dishes deserving of at least a Michelin Star I was very sad when the Westgate branch closed a few years back until I recently found out about the East Coast branch. Will be coming back again and again to this branch to complete the whole course menu.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and kids friendly place
The food was excellent and it's a kid's friendly restaurant with a dedicated kid's playing area. Service was also good.
Be the first to ReplyOne of My Happy Places
I come here when i am craving for Lamb Shank Briyani and Mango Lassi. Tonight, very accommodating server, Jaspal, took good care of me. :)
Be the first to ReplyNice place for food and drink
Very nice restaurant. The food was good and the ambient was good too. Good place for both family and friends

Location:
Location is good. Very accessible by bus and taxi.
Service:
We went on a Sunday noon for lunch. Service is good but the staff is very adamant to replace food in the set lunch. E.g. instead of mutton we asked for paneer, it was refused.
Food:
Food taste is really good. We ordered set lunch for two. Quantity was generous and intact 3 adults can eat it. All the dishes we were served along with starter were delicious. Try the mango lassi and chicken tikka.
Ambience
Ambience is really nice and cozy.
Cost
It on a costly side we paid around 80 SGD for two.
Great food but rude staff
The food was really good but unfortunately the fat guy staff was quite rude. Totally ruined the overall experience.
Be the first to ReplySuperb Flavours
Our guests were impressed with the flavours of the dishes. Well done, I visited the restaurant again the following day for lunch. My family was equally impressed with the flavours.
Be the first to ReplyGood food
The food was, as usual, tasty and delicious. We liked the butter chicken, Palak paneer, the grilled chicken, the briyani rice and the garlic naan. The masala chai was great too.
Be the first to ReplyDecent service, delicious Indian food
The palak paneer and vegetarian options are generally much better than the meat options. Highly recommend to pair the food with plain or butter naans.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food but a little pricey
Naan, curries and the briyani were great although was a little pricey for the portion size. Overall still a pleasant dining experience
Be the first to ReplySuperb
Food was excellent. Everything is delicious. Great for gatherings too! Better to pre-book in advanced in case the restaurant is full :)
Be the first to ReplyGood North Indian Style Food !
Good North Indian style Food ! The portion sizes are good, specially the samosas ! Kebabs (starters) and Mango Lassi are really good ! Happy hour beer promotion can be improved. The 2 and 4 pax veg / non-veg set menu promotion is great value for money ! Service is good, with staff willing to go the extra mile !
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Considering this place gets a decent write up and even states on its web site ...most awarded Indian restaurant it was pretty grim
The tandoori mixed grill was ok but very greasy, the tandoori mushroom awful and were mainly red peppers not mushrooms
The Goan fish curry was truly awful - almost no gravy - think they had pre-fried the fish in flour making it absorbent
The naans were rubbery chewy and tasteless
All in all pretty poor
Food was great and Service was top-notch
Visited the Zaffron Kitchen outlet alone at East Coast this evening (23 April) and ordered a Vegetable Briyani for myself. Was served by a staff member by the name of Dinesh who was extremely helpful. He went out of the way to make sure I was comfortable - asking if I needed help with the ordering, and also assisting to turn up the temperature of the air-conditioner when I mentioned that I was feeling cold.
Had a great experience and will definitely be going back again.
