Steak Tartare 9.
43/10- this was my favorite tapa we got!! It's made with caper relish, truffle honey, and lavender aioli. Very fresh dish and I liked how it captivated so many flavors without being overwhelming Tunisian Chicken Pita Flatbread 8.32/10- this pita pizza was made with spicy chicken, olives, dates, mozzarella, harissa. This was pretty good- I liked how the pita was a bit sweet and soft but also crispy at the same time. I also liked how the dates complemented the spicyness of the harissa. The chicken was also good and tender. Tuna crudo 3/10- I'm only giving this a 3 because of the presentation. This was the worst tuna I've tried unfortunately. Would not recommend. Was not fresh and tasted way too fishy but not in a good/exquisite catch way. Seared Halloumi Cheese 9.28/10- made with charred eggplant, crispy chickpeas, and orange blossom honey. I thought this was really good and sweet but my friend thinks it was a bit salty Mezze Platter 9.63/10- this was so good, I liked the hummus as it was really creamy. It also had whipped beet feta in the middle and artichokes. The whipped feta was so fresh and delicious. The artichokes on top were also a 10/10 and it was served with zaatar bread which imo was a bit too crispy but still fire. This wasn't pictured lol sorry but I do recommend Lentil fritters- I didn't try this but I heard mixed reviews Circus Charlie 9.36/10- this drink was so fire and strong, brownie infused bourbon, coffee infused vermouth, and marshmallow. I liked how the sweet was a great balance to the bourbon and vermouth Lost in translation 8.67/10- rum, salted mango, acidified pineapple, cream sherry, and Japanese bitters. I liked how refreshing this drink was and how it had a bit of spice from the pineapple and Japanese bitters This place was so vibey- it was like a gothic dinner/bar setting with library vibes. Reminded me of a bar called the library in dc. Highly recommend it was super cute. Would probs just get drinks here tho and maybe like one or two tapas

My family came to visit Boston for the first time so I booked us reservations here, originally for a party of 7 but last minute we had to change it to 9 and they were able to accommodate us (Monday evening). Gorgeous restaurant with amazing staff. Estefania and Cesar made our experience unforgettable!! They were so kind and hospitable! Downstairs was closed for the night but they still allowed us a little mini tour and we were treated to a complimentary serving of rosé as we were celebrating birthdays and an anniversary. Thank you Estefania and Cesar for making my family's first visit a special one! The food was very yummy too!
Be the first to Replythis is one of my favorite date night spots.
the mood lighting is so nice and the food is honestly fantastic. my partner is a nerd and loves the library room - its got tons of really intimate seating options surrounded by books. i really like the main dinning room. highlights are the focaccia (SOO good) and the lobster gnocchi was also lovely
Be the first to ReplyCool and kina sexy vibes with tasty, but expensive plates.
Booked a Saturday 7:15 ressie almost a month in advance. We were taken through the speakeasy bookcase door and sat at a large round table that was a little too big for our group of 4. We tried 14 small plates and each of us got a few cocktails so we got a pretty good tour of their offerings. Service was attentive, friendly and helpful. For food we tried: Crispy Tater Cubes Baked Oysters Savannah Tunisian Chicken Steak Tartare Chicken & Quinoa meatballs Seared King Trumpet Mushrooms Thai Octopus Tico Tuna Crudo Coconut Rock Shrimp Lazy Lobster Dumplings Seared Halloumi Cheese Lamb Kofta Le Bete Noire Coconut Mousse Cake All of it had great flavors, some of the dishes were a bit too salty for me (meatballs), but generally really enjoyed the food. Portions are quite small for the price, most plates each of us got 1-2 bites. The group thought the standouts were the thai octopus, steak tartare, seared halloumi, seared mushrooms, tunisian chicken, lamb kofta, and le bete noire. Lazy lobster dumplings were a decadent bite but not worth the price and there was not a lot of lobster. The tater cubes and coconut rock shrimp were good but not unique relative to elevated bar food. All of the cocktails were well crafted, but we all loved the dessert drink - an Iced Coffee Swizzle which had chartreuse in it and paired really well with the Le Bete chocolate notes. After tip it was about $150 pp, so this is more of a special night out type of place. I'd return to try more things!
Be the first to ReplyThe steak tartare is amazing, crispy tater cubes were good.
We walked in so we just sat at the bar. Good drinks, and it's beautiful in there!

This is a beautiful upscale restaurant with delicious food and drinks. It's more of a tapas-style menu so we got to family style and try a little bit of everything! Highly recommend booking a reservation in advance.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a fun restaurant.
It is on the upscale side great for before the theater or a special occasion. It is really fun inside. Drinks are interesting as is the food. Nice change from the same old menu. Service was excellent.

Yvonne's is my go to date night spot! We've always done a few of the shared plates and the food is always great. My must haves are definitely the octopus and the halloumi cheese! Only negative is that some of the plates can be a bit salty, but overall still a really good experience here. The decor is stunning and really makes for a fun dinner. The shared plates also come out fast but at different times so you're usually never waiting too long for food. Definitely make sure to book a reservation early because they fill up!

They stuck us in the dreary downstairs bar when I wanted the upstairs as it was my birthday n we were all dressed up. Food ok, service good. However, because it was so loud n dark we just ordered apps n left. Nobody seemed to care less, even the manager on the way out.

So happy we decided to get after dinner drinks here! When we first walked in the bar was full. This always makes me nervous because I hate ordering over people sitting at the bar I think it's rude, but the bartenders immediately asked us what we would like and somehow heard us without us yelling over the bar. They were already very attentive. I personally feel that the drink matched it's price. They were extremely well made drinks, going the extra mile with beautiful little garnishes. The ice was perfect, it didn't water down the drink and the drink to ice ratio was perfect. Often times I feel like bartenders put too much ice in and I understand why, but drinks shouldn't be priced so high with SO much ice. Again at Yvonne's, the drink to ice ratio was perfect. We were standing for only a few minutes until we got one open chair, and after that the bartender was kind enough to keep two seats open for us. They were just really really nice. I hate taking shots, but one of the bartenders surprised us with a round of shots, best shot I've ever had. Atmosphere was beautiful, relaxing, and unforgettable!
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance is a lil clubby, which im definjtely too old for.
The food is on point. Lazy lobster dumpling 4/5 the dumpling is bomb. The lobster a lil' fishyCrispy tater cubes 5/5 we were skeptical but it was not tater tots! It was like smooth mashed potato fried in cube form with amazing sauce. Our waiter said must get so we did and she was right. Bavette steak 4/5 cooked to perfection but tinnyyyy afOctopus 3.5/5 honestly cooked well but too salty for me and the flavor is desperately trying to mimic southest asian food and for an indonesian, it is definitely thai inspired but the flavors feel "half baked" like not bastard thai enough and not authentic enough Drinks is amaaazinngg 1975 - 5/5 got this in memphis before and this one is sweet with a hint of floral LovePaasionfruit mule - very ginger forward for a gal who is not a big mule fan, its a 3/5. Waiter did say that i would absolutely love it cos its sweet.

I stumbled into Yvonne's as it was near my hotel in downtown Boston. I absolutely loved this bar. The ambiance is dark, romantic, moody, old timey, and elegant. I ended up coming here almost every night of my trip. The cocktails were really yummy and the food was unique and delicious. One night I came right before closing and the bartenders were nice enough to serve me. I absolutely loved it here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful bar and incredible cocktails.

As someone who has lived in Boston for over five years, I have tried numerous restaurants and bars in the area, and we had high expectations going to Yvonne's. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I were turned down because of our legal out of state IDs. While I understand the right to refuse service, the employee of the restaurant decided to damage my drivers license by bending it in half. They also lied about possessing a black light ID scanner, yet my legal ID has scanned multiple times at other bars. I also showed my passport to supplement my out of state ID, and they continued to be rude and refuse us service. Instead of apologizing for damaging my property, the employees continue to act rude towards me and my boyfriend, who only wanted to have a nice dinner for our anniversary. When I returned with my mother later that month, we were greeted with the same level of service. We were mistreated and disrespected, and it felt like a waste of money. I would not return to Yvonnes on the level of service provided and the disrespect of customer property.

YOU GUYS! I've been here before when I thought it was just a Speak Easy. But tonight they asked if I was here for dinner or just the bar and I said "the bar" at first and then I thought ... wait .. "food?l " so I put myself on that dinner list. So hell yeah!We had a cocktail at the bar (espresso martini, sans espresso beans, and a draft beer) and then we were called to dinner. And then. AND THEN. they walked us THROUGH A WALL!!! And down into a secret room!! Holy cow!! OMG am I famous now?!?We ordered the Lobster Fritters as an app and Seared Brussel Sprouts and Coconut Rock Shrimp as "social plates" to share. The Coconut Rock Shrimp came out first, and then the Brussel sprouts and then the lobster fritters. The Coconut Rock Shrimp were great, the Brussel sprouts were yummy, but let's be real no one comes to a restaurant for Brussel sprouts and the Lobster Fritters absolutely should have been served first. Joel was fantastic and kept our water glasses full and asked if we needed anything else. Howard made me the Passion Fruit Mule which was amazing. God, I love Ginger. Don't order it if you don't love ginger because it's very ginger forward. OK. Let's talk about the restrooms. The men's room had one toilet and a sink and the ladies. Room. Had. TWO. Toilets. And. One. Sink. NO DIVIDER! Like, you and your bestie are gonna REALLY know each other after this!!They have a drink called the Heart Breaker that is served in a, well not a carafe, not an urn, but like ... what your mom would serve spiked punch in at a baby shower?? Like whatever that is?? My drunk ass walked around and asked people how they liked it and the general consensus was "love it". I feel like I should do 5 stars ,I really should, but damned it, bring my food in the order I ordered it and don't you dare give me an espresso martini without 3 and exactly 3 espresso beans. But this place is cool as fuck.

The ambiance, the service and the FOOD was INCREDIBLE! My friend and I are from Florida and came based on recommendations online and I would ABSOLUTELY come back the next time I am in town.

Great place with a nice atmosphere to sit or just hang at the bar with a few friends. Classy interior design and watching the bartenders was cool on its own .

Amazing atmosphere, drinks are on point, and the food is great! I recommend taking a photo under the sign outside
Be the first to ReplyI brought a friend and my wife here for a birthday dinner.
The atmosphere and location are incredible! It's "tapas" style with small shareable plates of food. I am all in on that style of dining and the plates were well thought out and executed yummy dishes! It's pricey - but what isn't these days? I really don't mind high prices if the food gains my respect and I feel like some creative expert thought was put into the flavors. Same with drinks- I am ok with a $16 cocktail if it satisfies and is creative. Although a $16 tiny drink is an insult. SO- food, atmosphere, and drinks were all great!! But the service took the whole evening down. Our waiter was trying a little "too hard" (if that makes sense!). In other words he didn't come off sincere. No problem really- at least he was trying! The crux of the whole problem was the bartending. Drinks came out AFTER the food. Uncool. Each successive drink order took WAY too long and was in error a couple of times. Seemed like the bar tender was busy serving patrons (diners) at the bar an totally unable to keep up with drink service in the dining room. Our last round took so long that it showed up after we had already decided to move on!! The food was delivered "too fast" ( compared to drinks) by food runners who couldn't even announce what they were dropping at the table. It took some enjoyment out of the evening. Timing and respect were lacking but the food and atmosphere were awesome!
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambience.
They have a secret bar downstairs as well - Reserve for "The gallery" if you want to be surprised.Make sure you try their smoked rosemary drink. You will enjoy the show. Make sure to capture the moment.

Great environment & staff! Everyone was so friendly & the food was great! The whipped Feta Toast was the absolute best, a must order! This is a small plate shareable restaurant. Make sure to order enough plates to feed the table. My group of 3 ordered 4 plates and it was enough for us!
