Yuki Yama Sushi Park City Reviews
Inventive.
Amazing wait team. Original sashimi, maki and nigiri. Expensive but worth every penny.
Had a blast for our anniversary here.
The hot sakes were great, Link our server was awesome! He made suggestions based on our likes I had the prickly pear mezcalito WOW, great drink, we made a tweak to a rainbow roll and added mango Yea! sooo good, wagyu beef tataki, spider roll, uni nigiri, fatty bluefin nigiri, and the crispy rice tuna tartar were all great. Flavor on point! Thank you for a great meal, great atmosphere, and wonderful night!
Disappointing and somewhat confusing
Soโฆ There were some really terrific things about it. The service was speedy and attentive. The decor was lively and pleasant. But, although we really wanted to like this place, there were a couple of negatives that seemed head-scratching. First, the menu made no sense at all. It was impossible to figure out portion sizes, nothing provided any variety (we had to ask the waiter how the rolls worked, and he suggested ordering โone or twoโ, despite their being quite expensive and differing substantially in size); there was nothing like chirashi, or sushi sampler, or a mixture of any sort. We just had to ask a lot of questions to figure out how the menu worked, and all of us had eaten at hundreds of Japanese restaurants over the years, so this seemed strange. But the most disappointing part was: there were three of us, but we each felt the food was subpar. I live in a Midwestern college town, and found that essentially all the Japanese restaurants here offered at least similar quality. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but Iโve had Japanese food all over the world, including Japan, and know Japanese food pretty well. Perhaps an off day for them? Maybe had we ordered something really different? Not sure, because Iโd be pretty unlikely to go back. The lunch for three of us came out to over $120, so I really expected something decidedly better.

Food was very good and our server did a great job! Sat upstairs and ordered miso soup, 3 different sushi rolls, and gyoza. We'll be back!
My wife's birthday was ruined by Yuki Yama.
Waiter was uninformed and lost. It took forever to get our second half of our order. The manager said they were busy? She was rude. Never going back there.

INCREรBLE!!! We had an incredible experience! Graham not only gave us great recommendations but also prepared the most amazing, delicious food. This isn't my first time having Graham as our chef, and I honestly couldn't recommend him more, he's probably the best chef I've ever had in Park City. Ask for him, and you're guaranteed an unforgettable meal.
Great sushi.
And my fav was actually crab meat dumplings. It was very savory. The grilling meat on the salt rock does get little too salty but meat itself was fresh.
Small intimate space, simple decor.
The staff were friendly and attentive. Reservation is highly recommended it's a hot spot for everyone. The food was delicious, sushi was just ok the mochi dessert was delicious.

The sushi was very fresh and there were some creative options. Our server, Trish, gave great recommendations and prompt service. We enjoyed the energy and will be back as soon as possible.

Another wonderful visit to PC's best sushi restaurant - service, selection and dining are always on point. Especially loved the Yama-Mami, Executive Roll, Shishito Peppers and Summer Blues!

Came in on a busy Saturday night and the food was still fast, and absolutely delicious. Our server was attentive and just had good vibes. We sat at the bar and ordered the chef's choice Nigiri and The executive. Every piece was delicious . I will be back and I highly recommend!
Fresh, innovative food
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! I came here with coworkers after a long day of meetings, and we were all excited to find a sushi place that catered to all our various tastes. We shared the edamame and I got the vegetarian ramen, which was heavenly: it was filling and stuffed with veggies, and it wasn't too salty. My coworkers' sushi was also exquisitely flavorful. Ingredients were fresh and the dishes were innovative twists on classic sushi rolls. The staff were efficient and polite, and our food came out in short order.
Yuki Yama
We have visited PC many times over the years, but have never attended here. We went for the first time and liked it. We got the house hot honey salad (spicy!) and edamame for appetizers. The sushi rolls were good, the Bruce Lee was our favorite. The ramen was good, but a bit too garlicky for my taste.
Wagyu on Hot Rock!! ๐๐๐
Delicious and SO MUCH FUN! Highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar. Food is phenomenal, service is too! We had the Cucumber salad with crab (itโs huge a chunks of real crab), wagyu on the salt blockโฆ plus tried a few of their rolls- all were super fresh and delicious!
Amazing sushi experience in Park City
I visited Yuki Yama based on it being named an OpenTable Top 100 restaurant in 2024. (I would later find out it also received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.) After my dinner, I know exactly why it's a winning restaurant: a combination of their food and their staff. Initially, I had their six-piece chef's choice nigiri, based on the recommendation from Rick, my sushi chef. I would later get the Executive roll after watching Rick make it for somebody else. Those alone would have been enough but I also ordered the tempura. All of it was outstanding--fresh and delicious. Their sushi is hand-made right when you order it. Being a whiskey lover, I also got the the Toki Manhattan, at the recommendation of Brodie, my server. It too was outstanding--smooth and flavorful. An absolutely delicious dinner complimented by outstanding people preparing and serving it. Rick and Brodie were top-notch, providing amazing service and excellent recommendations. I have to give them special kudos after my epic dinner fail: Having watched Rick spend 10-15 minutes creating a sushi masterpiece, I managed to drop it all over the place when he handed it to me. Major sushi disrespect! But Rick promptly prepared me a replacement and Brodie tried to assuage my embarrassment. They took it in stride and we carried on with the evening. One final note: initially I could not get reservations but when I happened to check that morning, spots were available at the bar. If at first you don't succeed, be patient and keep trying. All in all, a dinner not to be missed.
Great sushi experience
Lovely ambiance - we sat upstairs - comfortable dining. Excellent sushi with both traditional and non menu options. Sake list was extensive and very good. Bit pricey. Totally worth it.
Finger licking Baby back ribs
A must visit when youโre not n Park City, it was recommended by other people while passing the restaurant so we decided to get in and Iโm glad we did. Service was on point and we ordered the baby back ribs which their sauce is amazing definitely a must order! We even had to get a side of rice to keep enjoying the sauce. Also we ordered the black Cod with baby bock choy. I wish I have Thales a picture of the dishes but we were so hungry and everything was so delicious that we didnโt have time for that. Definitely coming back for the sushi.
Excellent sushi.
Both classic and very creative and original rolls, all delicious. Friendly service and a good sake selection paired with a great atmosphere make it a wonder experience. A little pricey, but that's to be expected when you are having super fresh seafood at a mountain resort town. Reservations are highly recommended. We went on a Monday night and it was packed.
This is a busy elevated sushi place, and they deserve all
This is a busy elevated sushi place, and they deserve all the accolades. From traditional to not-so-traditional Japanese dishes, fear not, every dish will be superior. From exquisite dumplings to rolls that are delicious and fresh as they come. The chef suggestions are not to be ignored. Don't ship dessert - tehy often feature a multi-layered (and I mean dozens of layers!) cake that comes from a prominent Japanese bakery in Salt Lake City. We had the cherries flavored - just wow! Service is like having dinner at a friends house, you'll want to stay and eat more!

We heard amazing things about Yumi Yoma so we made a reservation at the sushi bar and had the best night! Our waiter was the manager, Dustin, and he couldn't have been nicer. He made great recommendations and we had incredible drinks and service from him. But to top it off, Lyn was our sushi chef and she had the best recommendations for sushi, and even made us a special dessert sushi for our anniversary that was to die for. I wouldn't recommend this place more! Thank you so much Yumi Yama for an incredible night!
Some of the best sushi around.
We loved everything we ate. Difficult to get a reservation, so plan ahead.
Definitely go here if youโre a sushi fan
Jorge was amazing our service and food were both fantastic. This might have been the best sushi experience weโve ever had. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Ask for Jorge heโs the best!
Exceptional sushi experience
This is likely one of the best sushi meals and experiences I have ever had. I went early on a weekday for dinner without a reservation (but I would recommend making one as it's small and very popular). The creativity, freshness and taste of the dishes is amazing. It is obvious that everything is flown in and tastes as if it was just pulled from the water. Dustin and Philippe were so helpful in ordering uniquely delicious items and pairing them with the best sake I've tasted. The customer service is exceptional and the atmosphere very relaxing and fun. I would make a trip to Park City solely to eat here again.
Great food.
The servers were sweet. Their lychee Martini is tiny but oh so good. The wagu is delicious and beautifully executed
We were admittedly skeptical about sushi in the mountains.
Yuki Yama pleasantly surprised our crew. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table, but filled the time easily by wandering through shops downtown. Our table was located at the back of the restaurant and felt intimate. We tried a variety of sushi, in addition to the chicken kaarage and some daily specials. The chicken portion was much larger than expected and ultimately we ordered a little more than our appetites. Everything was prepared carefully and presented beautifully. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The chicken was perfectly crisp. The server was knowledgeable and friendly. We took several of her recommendations when ordering. Yuki Yama has a good sake list, too. We didn't order any, but I always like to judge a sushi restaurant by its sake offerings. Yuki Yama is legit. Prices are on the higher end, but in line with what you'd expect to pay for top quality sushi.

The food was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend getting the wagyu bruschetta and the spicy edamame. The service was great and my server gave many good recommendations. I also loved the feel and vibe of this restaurant and how sitting at the bar you can see the sushi being made in front of you

My absolute favorite Park City restaurant! Amazing food, great service, and fun ambiance. Sit at the sushi bar if you can, and ask the chef to make you his favorite picks from the menu (or off menu!). Utah may be a landlocked state but you would never know based on this incredible sushi restaurant.
Highly Recommended
Yuki Yama is a vibrant Japanese restaurant. The menu is well balanced with excellent presentation. We had vegetable tempura, seaweed salad and goyza. It was all delightful, omplemented by the helpful staff. Highly recommended.
The food is so good.
Best meal in a while. Miso cod is perfect. Fresh fish, good maki, kind service. Really excellent. Would easily be one of my top 5 meals in ny if they were there. And most items are actually gluten free without even asking. The fried chicken is fantastic.

Delicious! The food was varied so even our non sushi eating friends had options they liked (kimchi ramen). The wagyu, sashimi, maki were flavorful and fresh. Patrick our server was attentive and helpful and the space is lovely.

It had been a long time since my last visit, and I have to say both my wife and I were very disappointed in the food, especially at this price point. $200 for both of us before tip with no alcohol. Service was great, but we left disappointed. I have been eating at sushi restaurants for over 40 years and I would consider sushi to be my favorite food. Over the years I have eaten at all different levels of sushi restaurants, from all you can eat, rotating plates, to super high end and I would put my meal at Yuki Yama towards the bottom. And I am not very picky! We ordered the edamame, cucumber salad and pork gyoza to share and I ordered the 15 piece sashimi, the Executive special maki roll and a bowl of rice. Edamame - good, liked the course ground salt. Cucumber salad - better, sizable portion with good flavor. Pork Gyoza - maybe the worst I have ever had and I will happily eat the frozen microwave stuff. Little flavor and bad texture, like it had been reheated after sitting out for hours. Sauce that came with it was good. 15 Piece Sashimi - pretty good with a nice array of seaweed salad and other edible garnishes. There were 4 different cuts, salmon, red snapper, travally jack, and fatty tuna. Some cuts were great, fatty tuna, but they were just ok, with the salmon being disappointing. If that is all I had, I would not have been so disappointed, but $60... Executive Maki Roll & Rice Bowl - the rice in everything was not good. Like the gyoza, its texture was like it had been reheated. Super disappointed. My wife's meal was similar, a roll and salmon nigiri. Salmon was ok, but rice in both ware terrible. Overall I am not sure if we just had a one-off bad meal, or if this has become characteristic of the quality. Either way, I will not be going back anytime soon!
Wow, a must visit when in Park City
What an amazing find in the beautiful mountains of Utah. This wonderful sushi restaurant on Main Street is one of the best we have ever been to. It starts with great management led by Brody, who is excellent at recommendations and should be trusted. We sat at the Sushi Bar with Chef Lynn who is soft spoken and fantastic at what she does. Everything that they make, and serve is presented in true, artistic fashion. Making it both a visual and culinary dining experience. We started with Kimchi Miso soup. What an amazing blend of two dishes that we love and this slightly spicy broth is loaded with flavors and spicy cabbage and a must for starters. From there we had the Executive Roll another great spin on a traditional roll served with a side of house made Habanero Sauce making yet another home run! Next we had Nigiri that is truly world class and outstanding in all aspects. Hamachi, Salmon Sake, Shima Aji and more. To finish, Lynn made us a wonderful and unique Flounder Nigiri which is something we have never had, but a must try. It is excellent! As a finale, as if things could not get better, Brody suggested their Dragon Slayer Sake which is crisp yet with no harsh notes. Truly outstanding. We are excited to come back again soon! Make reservations well in advance for dinner

The food was amazing.
Highly recommend getting the Bruce Lee Roy which is topped with perfect Wagyu beef. Everything was very fresh and we even went back for lunch the next day!

Small + quaint sushi place on Main.
We loved the green hornet and sashimi. Table turnover was fast + very very chill vibes. Reservation required!
Yuki YUCKY
We have dined at this restaurant two times. Once was take away, which was not impressive at all. When we came back to Park city a year later, we tried it again. This time we dined at the restaurant. We didnโt even finish the sushi. There was so much rice around the rolls. The fish quality was not great. We also had a roll that had beef on top of it, and the beef you could not even chew it No one making the sushi is Asian. I would not waste your time, even trying it. Our server was not friendly at all whatsoever. But more importantly, the food quality was not good. I donโt understand why it is so difficult to get a reservation here.
So good! We walked in on a Monday night about 8pm.
They seated us right away at the sushi bar, but that was only because the reservation had canceled. All the other seats were full. So make a reservation! This place was good. We had the executive, Bruce Lee, and a shrimp maki. I was so full I couldn't eat the maki roll. The executive comes with a habanero sauce, which I asked for on the side. Glad I did. I thought my tongue was going to fall off. The roll was so flavorful it didn't even need a sauce. Service was very attentive. Highly highly recommend.
It was fair at best.
Expensive for the quality of the sushi. Crispy tuna was not good at all. The salad which is a staple at sushi restaurants was also fair. They used a spring mix when every sushi restaurant in America uses iceberg lettuce Spider roll didn't have much crab, and the spicy tuna roll didn't have much flavor I would pick something else versus coming here
Food is amazing!!! Service is on point.
Ambiance is very quaint. Highly recommend. It is on the smaller side and they are always booked so make sure you get a reservation!

Wow!! Simply the best! Jed our server made us feel right at home while we celebrated our one year anniversary. Started with the wagyu hot plate.. don't miss that for meat lovers 100% worth it. The mini crabs and Mr. Miyagi rolls were something we won't forget. Can't wait to come back
Ramen was the best!
We had a reservation and were seated at a high top. Great place to people watch and see the sushi chefs at work. Our server was so chill and fun. We really loved the interesting cocktails, so delicious. Sushi is delicious, and I recommend the ramen bowl on a cold winters night, it was delicious and really hit the spot! You need to be sure to get a reservation early during your stay as itโs hard to find. Definitely worth visiting.
Sushi at 7,000 ft.
Unbelievable sushi. Super fun environment and amazing recommendations from Dustin. If you like sushi and are in Park City this is a MUST VISIT!
$$$$$$$$$$TOO MUCH$$$$$$$$$$
Pretty snobby place. Expensive. The sushi was pretty good but really I got to remortgage my house to eat in this town! I thought NYC was expensive! Guess not.
A+ for Derek!
Amazing food - I donโt think you can go wrong with anything! We highly recommend the Lychee Martini! So well done. Our waiter Derek from Georgia was a joy - he memorized our entire orders without writing anything down, such talent! Kudos Derek! Thanks for making our last night in Deer Valley so special.
Delicious sushi
We love sushi and asked to sit at the bar. Jean Pierre was the sushi chef we sat in front of. Wow! The variety of rolls he made were interesting and plated beautifully. His roll recommendations were perfect. Both him and Brodie were professional and friendly.
Outstanding Japanese Sushi
A truly delightful Japanese resturant with superb food and great service. We started with Bluefin tuna (sustainably farm raised) and salmon nigiri. Buttery soft and flavorful. Next we had the grilled octopus specialty. It was seared so it had a crisp edge but tender center, with an amazing black sesame garlic paste, kimchee and red vein sorrel. Then we enjoyed their 84060 special maki roll of tempura shrimp, red & snow crab, mango, spring greens, rolled in soy paper with sweet soy sauce. The spring greens really were a nice addition with their crispness complementing the shrimp and crab. We accompanied this delicious dinner with one of their specialty drinks- the cucumber martini, and a Sapporo beer.
Good sushi restaurant. Not exceptional for the price
This is a good sushi restaurant but not exceptional given the prices charged. (and we are used to expensive ski resort sushi !!).
