Wild Sea on Las Olas Fort Lauderdale Reviews from The Last Year
Great lunch or dinner stop! Had delicious seafood and
Great lunch or dinner stop! Had delicious seafood and quinoa. It's worth the dining experience here . Very good unique menu!
DO NOT GO
The oysters are atrocious. Wouldn’t take the bill back. 4$ for the smallest driest oldest tasteless oysters I’ve ever had. Rude manager
Another great time at Wild Sea Las Olas
Always stop by when we are in Fort Lauderdale, food is consistent and service is great. Our waitress this time was LeeAnn and she was great, attentive, funny and a pleasure…
LeeAnn for the win!
I grew up in a service industry City (Las Vegas) and I know first hand what it takes to work in that field. We randomly chose Wild Sea for dinner last night and couldn't have been more pleased. The hostess was inviting and seated us quickly. However the real gem came with our server LeeAnn. Before she arrived at our table, her energy was already there. Any dining experience with a server whose bringing good vibes, is a good look! She's the kind of server you want to have at every dining experience. Kudos to her for being top shelf in the service industry.
Great food and service!
The food was outstanding. The service was impeccable from start to finish. Mariah was gracious and accommodating, ensuring every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. We will definitely be back!
Highly recommended!
My husband and I were in Ft. Lauderdale for work and we ate dinner here one night . Mariah was our server and let me just say , I haven’t had service like that in a very long time ! You can tell she truly loves what she does ! She had a great personality and gave us the best dinner experience we had our entire trip . It is hard to find Good servers these days !! We will definitely be back and we hope to see Mariah again ! Thank you
Honestly they are short handed.
Need more staff. That being said this is a nice place with good food. Prices are reasonable and they are open for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner.
This used to be a nice place.
It was beautifully decorated. The food was good and the service was great and they gave you delicious bread to start with. It became a tourist trap with awful food. No bread service unless you pay for it even when you order muscles, no bread. Service and management need to be worked on! It's really a shame!
So I was really looking forward to coming to this
So I was really looking forward to coming to this restaurant as I had heard so many good things. Unfortunately the experience wasn't that great. Our server barely gave us any attention from the start. She took our drink order but barley listened as 30 min later arrived with the wrong drinks. She then left to get the right drinks which took longer and another member of our party had to flag her down so we could finally order our food. The snapper was very yummy however the wild rice it came with was not a great paring. The spicy margarita was not spicy so the meal was disappointing. Our server never came over to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything. When we were done we tried to find our waitress with no luck. Took about another 30 min of finding her, getting a box for food, then trying to find her again for the check to pay and leave. The place overall is nice and it wasn't load. Unfortunately after a bill of $178 which just wasn't worth it, our whole party would just like our money back we were so disappointed with the whole experience.
New turkey sandwich was sub par, bread was hard .
Their coleslaw needs flavor update. Service was slow and restaurant was 98 % empty.
Great Dinner
We had a great stay at the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. Our last night we had dinner at the Wild Sea Oyster Bar. It was delicious and our server LeeAnn was outstanding. She even made our tea to go and packed up dessert so we could take it to our room. It was a great experience. Many thanks LeeAnn. Bernadette S
Very good
We ate here three times when staying at the Riverside. First meal was Easter Sunday brunch, very good value meal and lots of it! Second meal was dinner the next day. Very tasty fish dip (like a smoked haddock pate) and the jambalaya was good too, although I’d have liked a bit more spice in it. Third meal was for a quick lunch, I had the fried chicken sandwich which was nice. There’s a nice outside seating area and all staff are friendly. When we’re next in the area we’ll be back!
Oyster Monday
Came here for the $1.50 oyster special they have on Mondays! The oysters, drinks, and service was amazing! Would most definitely recommend coming here. Thiago was our bartender and he was great
Great
Great food, atmosphere and the best server in Fort Lauderdale, Byron. He comes back often to make sure our food is prepared to our liking and that we have everything we want. Our 5star rating is mostly due to Byron but the food and value are great too!!
We sat at a nice table outside, but the inside looked nice
We sat at a nice table outside, but the inside looked nice too. The Monday special on oysters were great! Got east coast oysters for a great price. The jambalaya and Moqueca were alright. I think the seafood was a little overcooked for the Moqueca, but the dish still tasted good. Our server was attentive and nice.
Loved Wild Sea Las Olas
We got there rather late, as we had been to a concert. Our server William was wonderful. He was polite, friendly and very professional. He did not rush us even though they were getting ready to close. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and William went out of his way to even get us dessert. Thank you for a wonderful ending to our evening.
Best dinner experience in South Florida
Spectacular food and wine, excellent service by server Mariah and manager Thiago, very nice vibe in the heart of Fort Lauderdale best spot to go with your wife, friends and family. Will definitely return!
As we exited the Water Taxi at las Olas the first large
As we exited the Water Taxi at las Olas the first large restaurant was the Cheesecake Factory. We walked for few feet more then took a right and came across this eatery. Fantastic choice to enter instead of eating outside like a street cafe in Italy. Classy interior, friendly waitress named Leeann. A gentleman came to check how everything was halfway through dinner possibly the manager. Boy, hubs really enjoyed his pork chops. My jambalaya was a generous portion so I dug through the Cajun rice and ate all the shrimp, chicken pieces and andouille sausage. So fun they have a robot delivering your order then it returns to the kitchen. We took a key lime pie and a carrot cake to go. So glad we ate here. Wish we had taken this water taxi stop early in the day as planned because they are having an art event with so many white tents open til 5 pm. It continues tomorrow but we will be joining a cruise. I shouldn't have given in to hubs cuz he wanted to take the Fiesta water taxi which runs every 2 hours to Hollywood and Margaritaville Resort.
WILD SEA - Fort Lauderdale
We reserved based on Trip Advisor reviews and it did not disappoint! It was our first visit and we hope to come again! The cute couple checking in before us requested Tami, so we did too. Tami was an awesome server! The place is in the great location on East Las Olas Blvd. *****
A bit of a letdown for a special occasion
A bit disappointed. Had reservations for 2 for a 50th birthday celebration based on the previous reviews. Sat for 20 minutes without so much of a hello from any staff with multiple servers passing by us dealing with every other table in our area except ours. Finally asked a server who had repeatedly walked past us to find our server since we didn’t know who was to help us. She came back a few minutes later to say that she will go ahead and help us since nobody else was. Placed our orders only to be told later that we had to change our choices because they were saving about half of the main course items (salmon, chicken, etc) for a large reservation that they were giving priority to over other customers (exactly how the server explained it). Was also charged full price for the appetizer that was supposed to be discounted from 5-7pm. Actual food was fine but nothing particularly stood out.
Sit away from the bar!
I enjoy the lobster special on Wednesdays. Simple, good food. Strange that the staff don't tell you about it. We used to sit at the bar but the bar tender's frenetic energy is off putting. Not a place to relax and enjoy a cocktail; away at a table is more relaxing. Don't enjoy the espresso martinis here; weak coffee and too sweet!
Really really good food and service curated by waitress LEEANN
Way above average dinner curated by our waitress LEEANN who steered us onto a great meal : pecan crusted snapper superb , happy hour appetizers delish and unusually artistic and delicious apple crisp finished it with a flourish . Go early , definitely a must go and surprisingly affordable . Jll
Expensive and mediocre quality.
Waitress poured entire bottle of wine immediately in 4 glasses.
Very comfortable atmosphere with a down to earth staff.
Our waiter was very personable and pretty funny. I had the pecan encrusted snapper which was delicious. My margarita was weak so after commenting on it, the bartender made me one worth remembering. I'd definitely recommend.
Dining at Wild Sea was truly one of the worst experiences I
Dining at Wild Sea was truly one of the worst experiences I have ever had. From the moment my party walked in the door there were issues and we were met with both attitude and in professionalism. After confirming several times with management they could accommodate a reservation for 16 people, when we arrived our table was not ready and essentially said they don't hold tables and that reservations mean nothing. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we didn't get seated until nearly 8pm. The manager (something Delucca) was completely unprofessional and rude, as was our waitress. More dishes than not came out incorrectly and staggered, when some had finished eating others had not received their meals yet. The largest issue, however, is that they do not take allergies seriously, my friend had a serious scale fish allergy and not only did she almost consume food that could have killed her, they blamed her for this and were horribly rude about the situation. The waitress (Leann) was rude and unprofessional to our entire party, often times walking away as people were still speaking and slamming cups and plates down on our table. In addition to the horrible service, no accommodations for allergies, they refused to do anything for the severe inconveniences to my party and overcharged us for several items we did not receive and items that were received incorrectly. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and their behavior was simply inexcusable. This experience soured my friend's bachelorette and birthday party and left a horrible taste in our mouths. Other tables in this restaurant had issues as well, this was apparent after speaking with them. Avoid this place like the plague especially if you have allergies and expect great service
Been coming for years.
Watched the service disintegrate from Great to Zero. After standing at the Hostess Stand for 10 minutes while the waitstaff stared at me, finally one walked over and ask if I need help. Really? Once seated, not one stopped to ask if I wanted anything to drink until I stopped one of them as they walked by. I asked if anyone was working this table and she snarkly snapped that they all work each others tables and it isn't assigned to any one person. Apparently, this system failed. Food is ok, price doesn't reflect the quality. As everywhere now, overpriced. Bidenomics and DEI are working hard here. Don't bother.
Made a last minute decision to have an impromptu dinner
Made a last minute decision to have an impromptu dinner date on Christmas night of all nights and lucky enough we were able to make a reservation through OpenTable. This restaurant is really nice and has great food that won't break your pockets. We ordered the Lump Crab Cake, Spinach Artichoke, Moqueca (Brazilian Seafood Stew) & Carrot Cake. Everything tasted great which shocked us because of course you expect your food to taste good but for EVERYTHING we ordered to taste GREAT, honestly blew us away. The lump crab cake is big and honestly one of the best crab cakes I have ever had, worth every penny they charge. The spinach artichoke was pretty good as well, perfectly proportioned. The Moqueca smelled good and tasted even better. I have never been to an establishment that offered seafood stew and as a pescatarian I couldn't pass that up. The stew was phenomenal and just warms you up as you eat it. The meal was big enough for me to share with my partner and not feel hungry once the food was done. We ended our dinner with the carrot cake which was just perfection. The staff was also extremely friendly and nice. Our waiter was amazing and made great wine recommendations for us that paired with our meal. The restaurant is really nice and cozy, perfect for a date night. I will definitely be returning to try out more of the items from the menu.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I have a similar question, it seems like when money is refunded it doesnt go immediately what is the process of this since its essentially a debit card and not a credit card
