Poor service and average food, but loaded with extra fees.
Food was really over-priced and the service was very poor. The server failed to bring melted when asked on three separate occasions and finally another waiter was asked and it was brought to the table immediately. This restaurant has a service charge of 20%, Food/Beer/Wine Tax of 13%, Operations fee of $5.40 and a Liquor Tax of $2.97. All the extra fees and taxes amounted to approximately $100.00 above the bill for average food. I would advise going to another restaurant.

Snapper sandwiches ordered with fries. Grilled fish was good. Bun and fries were awful. We replaced the fries because seemed refried and stale. The new ones were barely any better. They are not trying very hard here.

My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful ocean and beach view at this location, so were very disappointed by the mediocre food and mediocre service. I had the overpriced overcooked grouper. My husband had an ordinary overpriced chicken sandwich that he enjoyed. The canned beer was good and cold! Strangely, they were out of draft beer on this Memorial Day weekend, so apparently have poor management as well. The talented one-man entertainment was very enjoyable. I would not waste my money here again.

Very nice views of the beach and ocean. The meal was very expensive, particularly considering that the food was not very good. It was a Tuesday night and they were not very busy, but the service was not great. We ordered an appetizer to share and we did not get a spoon to serve it. We asked for a spoon and it took at least 10 minutes to get it while our food became cold. All four of us were very disappointed. Not sure how this has a #1 rating on Trip Advisor. Mediocre.

First night in Myrtle Beach on a cloudy evening at sunset, we thought we would have a light dinner on Wicked Tuna's rooftop and enjoy the meal and the view dining on the rooftop. Alas, there is no outdoor dining! The windows were covered in sea salt to further impair the view and as night fell the windows were totally opaque. The hostess sat us at a nice table for two next to a large party. The noise was unbearable almost everywhere, literally painful. As the hostess had rapidly moved on we got up walked to the opposite side of the restaurant next to a server's prep area and found the ambient noise level tolerable. We enjoyed our $13 cocktails. My fish and chips were acceptable costing$33. The she-crab soup was hot which surprised me as there was considerable delay in food arrival after placing the order. The soup was about $13. My spouse had the marmalade with added chicken and found it to be OK ~3.5 on a 5 scale. Our server was lovely and attentive. She had just graduated college majoring in business and is hoping to find a career using LinkedIn. The city walk from the restaurant and pier adjacent to the beach to our hotel was super. Beautifully landscaped and well lit. Although our experience at the Wicked Tuna was acceptable, if I had known that there were no outside dining, we probably would have looked elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyFood Good. But location old and dingy
We’ve been to Murrells Inlet location a lot. The food is always excellent although somewhat pricey as are the cocktails. But the view is always great and the wait staff are pleasant if poorly trained. We ventured to this location since it was near some places we had gone. Food and cocktail were excellent. Although pricey. But everything else was kind of disappointing. The outside of the restaurant dirty. The stairs up are dirty. The dining room is dirty. There is a photographer taking pictures for a price. The biggest disappointment was our server. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. But. We sat at 11:45. His shirt was filthy. His apron was even worse. Was Last week? Last night? And can someone at BOTH locations instruct the wait staff not to grab glasses by the rim and then put down in front of a guest? And could they clean their hands occasionally?

Very disappointing! The $48 catch of the day was so skimpy, fish and a few veggies. Talked with the manager and he did absolutely nothing regarding good customer service and trying to make the experience a bit less unpleasant. He wouldn’t throw in bread or anything unless it was for a price., but he was willing to take the plate away and throw it in the garbage and let me order something else. He was the worst manager ever. Also my purse ended up on the very dirty floor as the rounded chair backs would not hold it and there were no hooks. Very pricey for what you get and manager could care less on whether a customer is unhappy. Giving 1 star only because our server, Lilly was nice even though she had no authority to do anything about the situation. Will NEVER return.
Be the first to ReplyWOW!!
Food was mediocre, service was adequate. One person had a glass of wine, the rest had water. We all were subject to alcohol tax, shame on Myrtle beach!! THEN each check that was paid with a debit card had a fee of 20% of the total food charge added to the bill. Most southern folks are not accustomed to that!. Needless to say we won't be back.
Be the first to ReplyWe'd definitely return - the menu is fantastic!
Thankfully, we had reservations. When we arrived there was a longish line of people waiting for a table and the hostess seemed extremely disorganized. We were seated almost immediately but the folks in line seemed annoyed with the process. I'd recommend a different process flowing folks with reservations or those without. Our server took quite some time to acknowledge us after being seated but once she did, service was good. Our food came quite quickly and was great! The view is a bonus.

Monday the 25th my family and I were sitting at the bar enjoying ourselves. My family came to visit from NY. We had a few drinks and the bartender was very nice. Til the shift change. The blonde so called bar manager was a rude young lady that was trying to pull her weight. How dare her yell at us and telling us to get out. Why cause we were a bit loud. Yes my husband is hard of hearing but that's not the point.. she was rude and the manger was no help. But that's okay we will never return with any family or friends ever.. and plus the food is way over priced.

A beach side restaurant with a good view. The prices are a touch high, but the food is good. Service by Constance was very good. We particularly enjoyed the oysters Rockefeller. During high season we suspect reservations are essential.

This place is kinda pricey, but it's on the water with great ocean views. The dragon egg is outta this world! I would go back just for that alone.

Visited with friends in a trip from England. Fabulous location. The food was outstanding. However that’s the all that’s good to say. The service was very slow and slap dash. Beers were served in plastic cups, which made them taste bad. Then came the bill/cheque , yes the food was worth every penny/dollar but the service charge of 20% was steep but being in America we could accept this. However the alcohol tax & the operations fee was another matter in all the restaurants we had eaten in while staying in America we have never come across this, so this added to the service charge put over $200 dollars on our bill. Absolutely disgusting and a disgrace. You can get just as good food elsewhere with better service and less charges. My advice would be steer clear.
