Vivace Restaurant Tucson Reviews from The Last Year
Welcoming with a variety of seating options
As you walk up to the restaurant, you enter through 2 large wooden doors. There is valet service, if you need. You enter into the bar with dim lighting and then pass through to the main dining room where it is bright with a nice view. There is also a large patio, which I will dine in when it cools down, to the right. For fine dining, wine by the glass is poured well and the serving sizes are large. Service was superb and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Wonderful food with breathtaking views
This location was just outstanding! Food and service were outstanding. Wine list had numerous excellent cabs. Desserts were truly decadent! The location affords city lights view of Tucson that are just stunning. Reservations well in advance are necessary, as we tried to go back and could not get a Sunday night reservation even a week in advance.
Poor service
Do not be fooled by location and views. Appalling service, lack of staff, stressed and uninterested. One hour and 20 minutes from arrival to take our order for main meal.
Terrible food! I've had better Italian food at Olive Garden.
Save your money go to Olive Garden instead!
I used to work for owner Danny Scordato back in my college
I used to work for owner Danny Scordato back in my college days as a busser. A very kind man who expected excellent and paid so much attention to detail. If it wasn't perfect and delicious he would not serve it. Vivace (and any of his restaurants) are still just as amazing as ever. I argue that this is one of the best restaurants in Tucson, and I recommended to anyone visiting here. The restaurant location itself is absolutely stunning and the inside is tasteful and elegant. Service is always very friendly and attentive. And the food is absolutely delectable. The last time I went here it was for a work dinner, and I tried something new, the seafood lasagnette. Homemade sheets of pasta stuffed generously with very fresh tasting seafood and this amazing tomato brothy sauce. Their bread with pesto sauce is also as amazing. Try the bread pudding! Best I've ever had.

It's such a shame that they moved up into the elite area of Tucson. It now has become a see and be seen restaurant. When they were in the Plaza the food was outstanding, now, eh. I always give a restaurant 3 tries but I won't be giving it another try for the money there are better Italian restaurants that are family owned. Yes it fills the spot where Anthony's used to be with a spectacular view but again it's see and be seen now. Service is great so kuddos to them.
vivace is a nice place and yummy food! I enjoyed the pear
vivace is a nice place and yummy food! I enjoyed the pear and walnut salad, sautéed veggies and tiramisu! The others i was dining with got the chicken risotto and the shrimp pasta dish as well as salad and crème brûlée all was good and large portions! Service was quick and considerate pretty outside on the patio. This was my second time at vivace and service was consistently good.
Celebrating 2 April birthdays amongst 4 friends.
Tucson locals suggested the restaurant as a place to meet 2 Seattle friends for dinner. Arrived for 7:30PM reservation and the place was packed. Great views of the city. Very dim lighting required phone light to read menus. Pear salad was very good and split in the kitchen for 2. Stuffed pork chop was enormous and covered with a rich brown gravy. Lasagnette was a winner for 2 people. Relative to Seattle, the prices were very reasonable for an upscale restaurant. Birthday creme brûlée was complementary. With salad, 2 entrees, 3 drinks, total was $127.95 before tip. My only negative was that it was very noisy and somewhat hard to talk to our friends. If we lived in Tucson, we would definitely return.

Upscale but reasonably priced - Excellent food

The food is incredibly tasty and the ambiance is relaxing
The food is incredibly tasty and the ambiance is relaxing and Tuscan. Love it! Will be going there for my birthday next week
I would probably give it 3.
5 stars if I could. Considering I had heard some good things about the restaurant and was looking forward to the dinner to celebrate my mother's birthday, I was somewhat disappointed. Summarized, I would say the experience was good, but nothing was really outstanding. Surprisingly, no one in my party thought their appetizer and/or main plate (Shrimp Bisque Soup, Pear and Walnut Salad, Four Cheese Manicotti, Prime Rib Meatballs, Chicken Meatballs with Capellini, Crab Filled Breaded Chicken Breast, and Stuffed Pork Chop) was outstanding or very good. The common refrain when asked was, "not too bad." My Pear and Walnut Salad was exactly that, not too bad, but definitely not memorable. Same with the Chicken Meatballs with Capellini. While not terrible, it's unfortunate that my only memory will be that the marinara sauce tasted canned, not fresh and homemade. The two positives were good service and very tasty desserts (Warm Bread Pudding and Crème Brûlée). Not a restaurant or experience I can recommend at this time. If I were to return, I would try different menu items and request seating by the windows overlooking the city to enhance the experience.
The food is consistently delicious.
It, however, is an adult only restaurant. My grandchildren were not welcomed. The prices are fair but don't expect to get out of there for under $35 for lunch
Lovely setting, great service, good food
Made reservations for my birthday dinner, based on Trip Advisor reviews, and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is lovely, and they gave us a table with a window view, where we say an amazing sunset!! Our server, Jackie B. was a delight!! She went above and beyond to make our dining experience great, made some awesome recommendations, and was simply a pleasure serving us. The food is very very good as well...I started with the seafood stuffed mushrooms (which were delicious!) and husband had a pear and blue cheese salad, and really liked it. For entrees, I had the seafood stew and he had the pork parmesan. Both were done very well, and the seafood stew is a huge serving!! I was given a complimentary dessert of creme brûlée for my birthday (with a candle) and all in all it was a special evening and a good meal!
Very fine and elegant dining.
Took my wife there on an anniversary few years ago just based of Googles recommendation as Tucson's most romantic restaurant. It didn't disappoint at all. Both the Service and our meal were amazing. Indoor and outdoor seating with awesome sunset views.
Elegance in Tucson, just add salt
Top of the world setting and ample parking. The large black door entrance is so majestic it’s odd no one is greeting or opening the door for us. The porter looked sleepy to the left. The bar is the first thing you see and I love that. It’s open, well-appointed, and the buzz of the place is immediately apparently. To the left was the kind hostess, who greeted us with subdued professionalism. On our way to our table with a view, we passed by large parties, couples, all ages of adulthood (delightfully absent of children) and no one looked bored on a cellphone. We tried the cocktails and they were the best we’d ever had: dry, not sweet, a side of extra so generous as well. How creative and smart! Our server had an engaging smile and anticipated our needs, from photo opps to timing of our meals and “extra” such as pepper flakes, or cracked pepper and cheese. The starters we had were good though not particularly memorable. The seafood stuffed mushrooms were rich and creamy, and like most everything offered with fresh Parmesan and/or cracked pepper. The soup of the day was shrimp bisque and it was tasty. We also had a small dinner salad. The star of the show were the filet meatballs in alfredo sauce which was pretty much my fantasy dish. I could have or should have stopped there. I was sated already if truth be told. It was then I began to notice other diners had boxes of food on their tables. Since I had eaten some heavy, creamy food, I opted for the snapper, which was the main course special. I was expecting a lemon caper sauce. It arrived unrecognizable, covered in sauce that resembled the previous dishes we ordered, with mushrooms and white cream. The fish, when I found it underneath the heavy sauce, was bland but salty. I couldn’t tell if I got a whole snapper or bits. It was close to being a stew. But what was not edible was that the side of rice was so sodium laden that it felt dangerous to eat. I thought I’d get a heart attack if I finished it. It also killed my taste buds so I really couldn’t taste anything else after tasting the rice. So I didn’t finish it. Because I was already getting full, we asked for potatoes instead to be boxed and they accommodated. My dining partner had a filet cooked to perfection and some salty mashed potatoes, which were much more flavorful than my rice. At that point I realized this wasn’t the fancy place I’d hoped it was because that fish dish with the rice just showed me what they kitchen was working with. Some of the desserts were outstanding and we had a medley of them. I’d recommend the tiramisu and even the standard creme brûlée had a hearty texture, which gave it rustic richness. The place stops serving at 8:00 so there’s really no need for me to dine again there since that’s usually my preferred arrival time for my stay of three hours and several courses. But I’m sure I’m not like the snowbirds and old-money locals that keep this place going. We had 6:30 reservations and were encouraged to take our time but waves of people did start to leave and it felt like second seating in a cruise ship, or when the lights come on after the theatre and crowds just start leaving. This is crowd management. It’s probably a good business decision, but, not for me. The staff were exceptional and aside from the main course miss and a general abuse of sodium for flavoring, I’d say we’d definitely come back, if just for cocktails and pasta. If you want really find Italian dining, go to Gero, in Rio de Janeiro, at the Fasano. Or, if you can’t do that, try Locale and sit outside on their warm summer night.
Absolutely Fabulous!
The second best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at, anywhere. The food here is just spectacular! Service is top notch, and the view of the city is fabulous from the south side of the seating area. Whenever I'm in town I always go here for lunch. As an illustration of how good the food is more often than not I get the four cheese manicotti. I don't even particularly like manicotti--but it is just so good here it is hard not to order it! Can't recommend Vivace enough, anything I've ordered has been outstanding!
Great!!
This is an outstanding Italian restaurant! The food and service were top notch; and the venue is beautiful!! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys fine Italian food.
A Perfect Dining Experience
On this visit, everything worked beautifully. We return here once a year when we visit Tucson. The service was good — attentive but not rushed, which we appreciate. The food was uniformly good. The drinks were prepared perfectly. I want to single out Juna, who was working at the reception desk. She was especially gracious. When I asked to avoid a table I did not enjoy the previous year, she made what seemed to be a special effort to seat us at a wonderful table. Her demeanor was lovely and started our evening off beautifully.
Place did not disappoint
The place is worth its high rating. The bread was warm and fresh and dipping sauce was good. We had salmon with linguine and manicotti. Both dishes were good.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

Got impossible NYC res

Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
