Great happy hour that goes later than most.
Good drinks deals and great pricing and quality on the tapas/apps. Great vibes and place is usually crowded. Solid restaurant.

We visited this restaurant a year ago with several friends and had a great time. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Unfortunately our reservation for 7 people for next Sunday was just cancelled without notification. It looks like there is also now no available tables and that most likely they cancelled all their reservations for a private event. This has caused us to last minute scramble for a new dinner reservation the day of the NY marathon. Needless to say we're irritated.
Be the first to ReplyVery great tapas bar.
Waitress Saturday night was lovely, as was the two other servers. Every dish was fantastic ...shrimps, mussels , Brussels sprouts. Nice outdoor seating and cute indoor bar. Definitely recommend.
Be the first to ReplyThis used to be a go-to.
It's conventionally located and while nothing fancy, we could always count on a good meal. Recently, though, they revamped the menu and some recipes and we weren't impressed at all. Seems even the sangria changed and is now more dry, which isn't my fave. I've been to Spain and even Spanish sangria isn't this dry. So, unfortunately, I'm not sure we'll be back. We don't mind paying the hefty check if the food is good and satisfying, but unfortunately for us, it wasn't. This was a case where they fixed something that wasn't broken.

One of the best Happy Hours in NYC and definitely the best Sangria. Cute little hidden gem with amazing drinks at amazing prices and equally amazing service. Cannot rave enough about the delicious Espresso Martini. Always busy and a reservation is highly recommended.

My favorite place ever in midtown! The nicest staff, and the tastiest food (love their marinated goat cheese and calamari). Also the vibes are incredible -- they're always playing great music, and it's a great place to unwind after work. Also great for dates!! Shout-out to Nick, the best waiter! :)

Went here on a Saturday evening for dinner (and it wasn't at all crowded!) good vibes and enjoyed the food as well! We got some tapas to share and I would especially recommend the patatas bravas and the Brussel sprouts. Also enjoyed the chicken skewers -- juicy and citrusy. We just made it to the tail end of happy hour and our server made sure to get our drinks in time. We all got red sangria and enjoyed it! Great service overall!

Met up with a friend for drinks & we ordered a few tapas to share. The mussels were pretty good, the fried calamari was better than I expected, and the short ribs & potatoes were perfectly cooked and delicious.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite date night spots in the neighborhood.
The food is always delicious and comes out so fast. Highly recommend meatballs, & croquettes.
Be the first to Replyfood was pretty good but nothing amazing.
took forever (stayed here for 2 hrs) and they forgot some dishes
Be the first to ReplyA great spot to meet with friends! With happy hour EVERYDAY.
.. yes u heard that right EVERYDAY until 8 pm you won't find a better drink deal in town. The food was exquisite as well. Highly recommend the dirty french mussels, mozzarella date honey flatbread, and potato croquettes. Can't wait to return here. One note- it does get very very loud inside so if that's not for you I would avoid a busy weekend night here.

Food: 9/10Value: 7/10Ambiance: 8/10Great neighborhood spot with fantastic food and good vibes - perfect for a nice dinner with family or friends, or even a casual date. Had some really unique dishes with interesting flavors.Tapas-style restaurant. Every dish we got was flavorful and some were incredibly unique. We had a honey glazed blue cheese dates, which I was a bit skeptical of but turned out to be incredibly tasty. The croquettes and corn were also really fantastic. The only thing that was unusually subpar was the chorizo flat bread- tasted like frozen bagel bites and would recommend against ordering it. Stick to the tapas. The ambiance is very nice but not pretentious at all- perfect for any occasion. There's always a buzz of chatter, a nice bar, and sports on TV if that's your thing. ย Definitely coming back here again!

Great happy hour specials and good little tapas! It's a great place to start your pregame for the night, can't beat the HH! The pink lemonade and vodka drinks were FLOWING!There is one bathroom so don't wait for the last minute - you're welcome.

This restaurant impressed me with my first visit! Not only were we so well taken care of by the staff, but the food was fantastic! I've never craved Brussels sprouts before but after having the buttery whiskey Brussel stouts I'm pretty sure I'll be fantasizing about them for the rest of the week. Not to mention the fact that I'm pretty sure that they serve the best ribs I've ever had. They fall off the bone, and melt in your mouth, and they're everything Ive ever wanted!

VinoTapa is an excellent bar in NYC! Great service, food and vibes. Chef Mike is very talented and puts thought into each dish he creates. His staff is kind and cares for the customers. VinoTapa is a great spot for the perfect bite. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts and patatas bravas for dinner & brunchos and avocado toast for brunch!

Wow. On October 15 2021 my daughter and ate here. Two days later after trying to gather facts which are necessary to give an informed opinion, having spoken to the owner EXECUTIVE CHEF Michael VASALLO ย whose qualification on Linked In was having been a "line cook" for 11 years; speaking to my brother a Culinary Institute of America graduate---bearing in mind that before I researched PEI (Prince Edward Island) mussels wow I got, another woman on Saturday OCT 16 2021 complained not about the food the service but only about him. HIM. ONLY.He claims his barmaid had a Ph.D, which has no meaning in NY, WAS ย berated by me, feared by me (I live 3 hours away).THIS IS A SICK MAN WHO CREATES HIS OWN REALITY; changes easily verifiable facts; is argumentative; wow avoid this poor man at all costs. Manhattan, despite labor crisis has plenty of fine restaurants and an executive chef is such an honor, above sous chef, and this guy an owner is a line cook.My daughter who had just spent $1600 at Le Bernadin by Eric Ripert said Dad let's just go and NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time here at Vinotapa with a couple a friends.
.. Granted it was a Sunday night, got a nice booth in the back for us, so it was a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere with good music in the background. The prices were affordable with a late Happy Hour for drinks with very good Sangrias, however after my friends and I couldn't say no to their Pumpkin Spice espresso martinis (one of the best cocktails I have had in a very long time)...For tapas we tried the patatas bravas - DELICIOUS - we double ordered them and also the marinated goat cheese. We also tried the ribs (they were one of the most tender ribs I have had), shishito peppers very nicely blistered, a flatbread with chorizo sausage, mussels in wine sauce and the shrimp - everything hit the spot! Our waitress Irina was so attentive and nice and props to the bartender for the great cocktails that she made for us! Will definitely come back!

I rarely give bad reviews especially now when so many restaurants are struggling. But when I go to a restaurant with friends and want to spend my hard earned money on drinks and food, the ONLY thing that gets me upset (forget if food wasn't good, price point, ambience etc) is when I have a bad experience from a host/owner/manager or whatever he was, give me a douc***/super rude attitude for no reason. I was a party of 3. We requested to sit outside. Tables were more than half empty. The host or whatever he was, gives us a table that's meant for two, and adds an extra chair. We all came from work and had our big bags of stuff, as most women commuting do. Was hoping for a bit more room or an extra seat bc our table was so tight, so I politely got up and walked over and asked ย the middle aged host, who looked like he clearly hates ppl and his job, if we can get a table of four. I mean, there were so many available tables. Dead in the face to me with the most condescending/obnoxious attitude- "NO. You are a party of 3 so you get a table of 3" Wtf??? Could I have explained the situation more why we wanted the extra seat..sure. But his initial response was so a$$holy and I was so taken aback, I didn't even bother. the way he spoke to me was like a parent scolding a 4 year old and I am no 4 year old child nor do I act like one. Like really? Also it was not about being accommodated - if he said no I'm sorry I can't -- fine. But the way he said it/looked at me- so rude. Suggest something else? Maybe just bring another chair..suggest we can move inside which was more than half empty..something. Don't look at me like I'm the problem or too bad. We could've left and I wanted to. But it was my friends belated birthday and didn't want to make it a negative thing or big deal for her so we stayed. The food was fine. Ordered 6 tapas/2 wines/3 sangrias and our bill was super reasonable. I see why locals would come. our waitress was also super nice. However, I don't patron restaurants where white middle aged men (or any person) acts like I'm doing them a favor by spending my money at their establishment . So many other places to go to that actually appreciate customers/business and I will absolutely never come back.

I had been wanting to go there for some time because the good reviews. Now I tried, it was really disappoint it. The polly belly was 6 tiny totally fat cubes for $15. Fried calamari was ok but it was a Thai style. ย The waitress was great tho.

VinoTapa is a great place for an after-work get together with friends. They have happy hour until 8pm which is rare for NYC. They have $7 wine and $8 cocktails for happy hour. Unfortunately, food is not on happy hour but the tapas we ordered were very tasty! We ordered pil pil shrimp, pulpo, deviled eggs, brussel sprouts and pork belly. Everything was good. Small portions but very good. Service was also very good. The servers were attentive and food came fast. I would recommend VinoTapa for happy hour.
