Vetri Restaurant Murano Reviews from The Last Year
Service was absolutely amazing.
We were running late, and they were very accommodating and told us to just relax when we got there (almost 40 min late for our reservation due to Presidency campaigning being in the city & blocking off many freeway exits). They started us off with some sweet wine which was great. We got the Classic Tasting Menu which I'll detail below. The "*" indicates their older menu items that have not really changed and they highly recommend. It was not always my favorite. I also did the wine pairing which is 3 oz a pour each item, and was decent. If you finish it all it can get you a good buzz. For the price of another person, I do not know if I would do it again though. (Free) Oyster - strawberry ontop. Already separated for you so you can just slurp it up. Tasty and nice freebie. *FOIE GRAS PASTRAMI with TOASTED BRIOCHE - Four pieces, very rich and buttery. Well prepared and creamy - not a huge foie gras person but probably one of the best I've ever tried (Free) Tableside bread - very soft, came with a pork/sausage spread which had a pepperoni-like spread taste. Unique. Antipasta - TESTINAMILANESE - the most flavorful, very tasty and enjoyable. Probably my favorite of the 3 tried - GRILLED OCTOPUS - was expecting more. It was well cooked but just not super flavorful - *SWEET ONION CREPE - Very uniquely cooked with the layers. Nice flavor. Would recommend. Pasta - MANDILLIDISETA - not a big portion but very tasty, not a strong mushroom flavor. probably my favorite of the 3 tried. - PACCHERI ALL'ARRABBIATA - lobster was good and pasta was shaped in a very unique style, was good but nothing super unique - *CLASSIC SPLIT - gnocchi is more flavorful but has a decently strong spinach flavoring Secondi - POACHED HALIBUT - well cooked just a little too soupy/watery. The - VEAL - little bit of fat in the piece served but tasty - PORK SECRETO - pork shoulder that's nice and crispy, potatoes were layered and very well cooked. My favorite of the 3 tried. (Free) Palette cleanser - tasty light, mix of luke warm and cold, sweet flavoring Dolci - *MOLTEN PISTACHIO CAKE - a must! This was delicious. Came with a little congratulations chocolate. Easily the best of the 3 - STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE - Good but nothing out of the ordinary - COFFEE SEMIFREDDO - Tasty, nice combination of a hard and soft pieces. (Free) Cookies - Nice finishing 3 types of cookies given at the end Throughout the night there was fantastic service. The initial server did mishear me in asking for still instead of sparkling water so the whole night I got sparkling water but I didn't mind. The servers speak off a script when presenting the food, and it felt so rehearsed I'm not sure how much they would know if asked things OFF the script. Inside looks a little older style. The glasswear and setting are all nice. There is a kitchen experience that I saw some others going to that seemed very fun to hang out with the chefs. Overall, it is a pretty penny to attend but service is fantastic and they give you a bunch of freebies throughout the night. We got an extra dessert because they served an incorrect one on accident (not sure if it was truly an accident because they had the second one ready immediately), oysters, a Polaroid picture for memory, extra cookies, and wine. Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Food: 4.5/5
Food and service is excellent.
I will always pick on wine costs in any restaurant other than byo of course. I don't spend money on golf etc., other than the orchestra and FOOD & WINE. I mention this because I will occasionally indulge in Michelin rated restaurants in other cities. Philly will not pay for Michelin rated reviews of their city. I think it costs $100k - perhaps a year, but Michelin probably won't pay their demands. I mention the Michelin ratings, because Vetri is perhaps a 2 star. Dinner cost was close to $600 w/o tip. The only issue was the cheap wine for $145, but it was ok. This was of course w/o the Philly 10% drink tax. If this was a byo, we would likely visit 5 times or more per year for the great food. Probably once per year for a special occasion. My wife is worth it.
Food is nice but not stunning Place is very cozy Octopus
Food is nice but not stunning Place is very cozy Octopus was average Pasta was real nice And dessert was okay
Recently visited for a private event, and the experience
Recently visited for a private event, and the experience was great! The dining room was stunning and the opportunity to watch things being prepared in the kitchen was very cool. The staff were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about everything being served. There were a lot of food options between the reception and tasting menu. They were even able to accommodate and make substitutions to account for dietary needs. My only knock is that the tasting experience is pretty pricey, but that's to be expected given the level of service and quality of food.
Our party of three each got the four-course tasting menu
Our party of three each got the four-course tasting menu with different options, with the wine pairing. Multiple reasons this is a five-star review: 1) one of us had a few dietary restrictions which were quickly and accurately dealt with; 2) unlike at most restaurants, the entire table was NOT obligated to order the tasting menu; 3) one of our party, when asked how the main course was, reported that his choice (the poached halibut) was not up to expectations. Although he hadn't asked for this, the server immediately and cheerfully offered him an alternate. An alternate wine pairing was offered with this course, and the server topped off the other two diners' wine pairing as well; 4) while we were waiting for the one diner's alternate main course, the server brought out a sample of a dish that the chef had been workshopping, and she and the chef both sought our opinions on it; 5) the wine pairings, with one exception, were extremely good (and the exception -- the Benito Ferrara Greco di Tufo 2022, paired with the halibut -- was fine, just not as spot-on as the others). You pay handsomely for all the above, but in my opinion the experience lands on the side of value for money.
Hosted 5-others last night (most from out of town).
Every one of us walked away with a smile!
This pasta slaps yo! I had Michelin star service and the
This pasta slaps yo! I had Michelin star service and the restaurant is beautiful! I flew in from California just for the pasta
We did the 4 course meal service with wine pairing.
There are options to pick within each course (about 4 or 5 to choose from) and the whole table is not obligated to do the same. Everything was fantastic! The wine pairing was spot on and really enhanced each dish. Especially loved the gnocchi and almond mini tortellini but everything was perfect and if i was going back today I would get the same! Chris our server was attentive and educational! The whole team worked together to make it a memorable anniversary experience. The dining room is small with only 7 tables but there is enough space between tables to give you privacy. When we come back to Philly, we will definitely come back here.
Spectacular food and service.
Obviously very pricy so it will be subjective if you think it is "worth it". Definitely was to me!
About a 1-1.
5: We came to Vetri Cucina as a group after a work event, and we all opted to go for the seasonal Forchetta menu, as it had the option of adding a white truffle supplement (which, we did). The menu included: +Sweet onion crepe with truffle & Parm fonduta - reminded us of a French onion soup, but in crepe form +Veal Tartare with brown butter, sweetbreads, and hazelnuts +Beef shank cappelletti with parsnip custard stuffed bone marrow +Salt baked branzino with charred brussels sprouts - this was overly salty +Squab en croute with cippolini and stone-milled polenta with chestnut crema and cured egg yolk - didn't try this, as I'm not a fan of squab +Blond chocolate budino The white truffle shavings were generous and ample. Service was a bit underwhelming; we felt that it was a snail-like pace and were eager to finish and leave. Lot available adjacent to the restaurant. +underwhelming menu items +slow service +lot adjacent to restaurant
Vetri is PERFECTION.
Came here for our joint birthday dinner, and everything was just perfect. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and we had the best time celebrating. It's definitely pricy but totally worth it.
Amazing food and service.
We loved every plate and pairing. The pastrami foie Gras was a top tier bite!
What unbelievable service at this restaurant.
We came in on a Sunday night, our anniversary night, and were treated with amazing service. We were recommended several dishes based on our dietary restrictions, and tried the following: Apps: Hiramasa Crudo Sweet Onion crepe - this was the clear winner for our appetizer portion of the meal - this dish is out of this world, and something so different than what I have had anywhere else Pasta: Garganelli with duck ragu - the duck was thankfully not very chewy, and the pasta was of course well cooked Fettuccine with mushrooms - great dish, so simple yet elegant We couldn't decide between the fettucine and the classic split, so our waiter brought us both dishes without charging us which was awesome. The classic split was to die for - the gnocchi was on another world in terms of how soft they were. Definitely try this dish Secondi: Monkfish - reasonably cooked, but honestly nothing I would need to eat again Quince terrine - good but not great Dessert: Just get the molten pistachio cake, it was next level, and the highlight of this meal.
Looking forward to celebrating my birthday and I was not
Looking forward to celebrating my birthday and I was not disappointed. The four course selection was excellent especially the onion crepe and venison. The wine pairing was outstanding. They gave an extra pasta entree - gnocchi and tortellini- that was excellent. Service was perfect - always there to help. This is a big ticket restaurant but well worth it.
We rented the private space upstairs for a large group
We rented the private space upstairs for a large group dinner, and little did I know that it would be a truly memorable dining experience. We started off in the kitchen with the chefs and a glass of prosecco! On the table were platters of delicious apps and charcuterie. It was such a cool experience to be able to start the meal off there. And that foie gras pastrami bite was heavenly. We progressed through the rest of the menu. My favs: the sweet onion crepe, spinach gnocchi and maitake fettuccine...but really, everything was superb. The service throughout the evening was very good. The staff was very attentive and accommodating.
great vibe, actually makes u feel like it's a special
great vibe, actually makes u feel like it's a special occasion kind of restaurant. everyone starts w/ a free spritz (alcoholic) in the beginning and then you choose ur plates from each of the 4 courses. they were very nice and actually gave us a small plate of another pasta to try (free) when we couldn't make the decision between which type of pasta to get. if the corn pasta is available, GET IT. overall it is very delicious, pasta is way better than the meat courses and ofc the price is up to u to decide if it is worth ur money. $230 pp after tax and tip, just the tasting menu + 1 extra pasta supplement. 1 thing tho in general they should serve their pasta hotter it was reaching room temp by the time it hit the table for some reason.
Last weekend, my husband and I enjoyed a lovely date night
Last weekend, my husband and I enjoyed a lovely date night at Vetri. The last time we ate at Vetri was 3 years ago, right before the pandemic. There have been some changes and new additions to the tasting menu. We definitely had more variety and more food before. Even though we got less food from the tasting menu this time around, the cuisine was more elevated. The complimentary pre-dinner bites from 3 years ago were these local raw vegetables. There's nothing wrong with local raw vegetables, but it just didn't make any sense as part of Vetri's tasting menu. Last weekend's complimentary pre-dinner bites were raw oysters with salmon roe and a celery root soup, which made more sense and was definitely an upgrade from before. I did notice service was slow to start and reminded me of the slow service from 3 years ago. Since we were both starving, we ordered the foie gras pastrami with toasted Brioche as an add-on and thought that would arrive quicker than the rest of our food. Eventually, the foie gras pastrami with toasted Brioche arrived, and it was so good. After that, the service picked up. The house bread with house made 'nduja was delicious. Our server didn't mind that my husband asked for another serving of 'nduja. For our appetizers, my husband had the torched Hiramasa Crudo, and I had the Potato Burik with broccolini and caviar. Nothing out of the ordinary, but we both enjoyed our dishes. Then came the pasta course. The spinach gnocchi and almond tortellini classic split and the chestnut agnolotti were spot on. You can always count on Marc Vetri's pastas. After the pasta courses came our meat dishes. I had the seared venison, and my husband had the smoked baby goat. I loved my seared venison. It was perfectly prepared and I could have totally eaten another one. Desserts were a molten pistachio cake and rice cake. The Molten pistachio cake was delicious. My husband wished he didn't get the rice cake. I definitely prefer the new and improved version of Vetri. Even though I didn't walk out with a stuffed belly like last time, I enjoyed every single bite.
Great Place To Cap Off a Visit to Venice.
We ate here our last night in Italy; this restaurant is on the Island of Murano just outside Venice. Our table was rooftop and the scene was really lovely, with panoramic view of the waterways in both directions. The service was very good. I know they were pretty close to the end of the season but they were very accommodating even though there were only two other tables occupied. The wine was very unique in aroma and flavor, I wish I could find it again. We had a "Bacai" to start very tasty. I had the pumpkin gnocchi with quail; delicious- I would like to see more quail in the dish. My husband had the eel and liked it very much. If we are ever back in the area we would go here again.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
