Uchi Denver Reviews from The Last Year
This is my favorite restaurant in Denver hands down no
This is my favorite restaurant in Denver hands down no question. They are consistent, food is absurdly good, service is impeccable. Empty plates don't stay on our table for more than a minute. It was me and my partners anniversary the other day and we tried another sushi spot (sushi den), which was an awful experience. We came to Uchi to makeup for it and sat at the sushi bar. Jessie the sushi chef heard about our bad experience on our anniversary and decided to makeup for it. He made this the most memorable meal we have ever had, with lots of complimentary bites. We can't thank Uchi and Jessie enough for this special night!

Uchi Denver was a delectable dining experience! We sat at the sushi bar in front of Chef Jesse and he took great care of us. He listened to our allergens, as well as what flavors we were interested in or not too fond of- and he crafted us the perfect dining experience. He's charming, but doesn't overly interject- and his descriptions of each dish really set the scene for us! We'll be back!
Went to a Maki Roll lesson and tasting dinner.
Our first time at Uchi. On the positive side, it was fun learning to how to make one of their signature Maki Rolls, The tasting dinner was just mediocre. While it was enjoyable for the nice people that were also there, the food was disappointing. Much of the food was overly salted and relatively uninteresting. We are new to Denver and wanted to try this place. We are happy we did but we won't go back. If you are a true fan of authentic sushi this is not your place.
Favorite sushi spot in Denver.
There's a lot of restaurants around this area but this is the best one by a long shot. High quality, fresh, well prepared, knowledgeable, delicious and the servers are so kind. I went here for a date night and was surprised by the quality of the entire establishment. I thought "it's Denver how good can it be?" and was pleasantly corrected. Do not miss this spot

Uchi is an upscale sushi restaurant with an outstanding menu of fine sushi. The service is terrific. Very attentive and helpful explaining the different menu options and making recommendations. We tried six different items and every one was wonderful. We all thoroughly enjoyed sampling different items, sipping wine, and having leisurely conversation. A culinary experience that can't be beat.
Came here for a dinner.
We made reservation in advance. They have valet parking that you have to pay for, which is weird considering that you are dining in with them. Ambiance is pretty cool, modern and chic. They have indoor and outdoor dining options. Service was pretty mediocre to they the least. When we asked a question about wine, she said "it's dry". We had to specifically ask how menu works, usually in the restaurants like that you have a run down of the menu. Food is obviously expensive and definitely not worth the hype. If you have been in the nice restaurants in the Bay Area or NYC, you definitely will not be impressed. Menu is rather large and to be honest confusing. They recommend 6-8 dishes per table for 2 people. Everything is a small plate. We started with miso soup that was good (but nothing special, definitely had better miso in the past), then we had asparagus salad, which was good, edamame had smokey flavor which I didn't like, we had 2 rolls that again had some smoke flavor in the sauce. We had chicken that was just a regular chicken, nothing special, amberjack crudo was pretty good. We didn't enjoy flavor profiles very much. I like experimenting but none of the dishes were amazing to be honest. We ended a meal with sorbet and it was very mediocre as well. Honestly, very overhyped and overpriced place like everything in Denver. If you lived in NYC or LA area, you will be underwhelmed at this restaurant.

I am a Foodie and some people call me Sushi instead of Susie because of my love for it. I try to seek out high quality Sushi when traveling and go to great lengths whether to secure a spot at Jiro in Tokyo or to find the best local eateries in cities I visit. But regardless of the eatery, I not only hope for fresh creative fish, I hope for kind interactive service no matter where I am at a hole in the wall or a Michelin Star recognized place and especially when paying a high premium Like at Uchi... which really is a small Chain. I should have gone with Sushi Den. I really have never sat through such an impersonal and lackluster experience for a place of this caliber. My server Brandy was lovely so this is not about her. It seems some people get a special experience which really should be the norm If you sit at the Sushi Bar you should have the attention of the sushi chefs. Instead while people Next to me got introduced with all the specials and Omakase choices and full genuine attention, I was told I would order through a server as they don't have enough chefs to accommodate all their guests. oh Okay so how did you decided that? Did you survey who you like best? Did you decide that only couple get this treatment? What were your qualifications? When I complained as I always like to be proactive and wanted to turn the experience around, I got a guy who really had no tolerance or care to hear about my dietary needs as a Diabetic. Is he aware that it is actually a disability? So when I kindly ask for no rice - really a simple request, he says he isn't allowed to take the rice out! I mean how messed up is that? Anyway he "fulfilled" his basic duties of serving me at the sushi bar but bare minimum all in the box professional no effort to interact and no effort to make sure I was comfortable with the ingredients. Really absolutely unacceptable $170 later. He almost seemed bothered that I wanted Sashimi which I knew was safe for me. He also forgot to give me the Yellow Tail Special that he had recommended that I had ordered. The fish was delicious and super fresh but I would take a place less Cocky any day over this that genuinely cares about their customers health safety and Experience. You would think especially after I made an effort to tell them they could right the experience that they would have interacted with Care. This is an Americanized Sushi Chain with the dollar as their bottom line. They definitely judge who they want to give top care to and disregard dietary concerns. I really hope to discuss further with management how absolutely discriminatory and unacceptable their services were. What is that quote you may forget what someone says but you don't forget how you were made to feel. That cost about half a teacher's pay to leave feeling that way. By contrast my Brunch at Root Down was so lovely and Coffee with a side of understanding and kindness. Some of the freshest fish around left me with a really bad taste in my mouth and my heart. Sorry that my very few meals in Denver was wasted here and how degrading to expect me to pick the rice out of my food at $170. Not because I don't want it but because I can't have it. Pulease not to mention how wasteful! Do better Uchi Denver.

Get that it was a Saturday night but absolutely terrible service. Wait staff seemed to be interested in everyone else but our table.
Yummmmmmmmmm!!!!!!! Best sushi in Colorado.
I have been there several times and always leave extremely satisfied.
Run to Uchi!
Uchi was wonderful, and Tiffany curated our ideal meal within our budget. Don’t skimp and let them organize one of the best meals of your life! The lobster, wagyu, nigiri, sashimi and fried milk dessert were highlights. Thank you Tiffany for an amazing experience!
Nice experience!
Good with a group for a speical experience with many fun dishes. Our waitress was good at explaining how we should order for our group. A bit expensive and small dishes, but was good for a special occasion. Desserts good too!

I visited Uchi for a special occasion and had a wonderful time! We happened to get a reservation during happy hour and sampled a few options from the happy hour menu and regular menu. I enjoyed the happy hour items the most! Our server was fantastic and helpful as we wanted to narrow down what we ordered. I would come back for special occasions but based on the prices, Uchi wouldn't be my go-to sushi spot.
Wonderful experience.
Great service and amazing sushi . Traveling through Denver with family and we had a great time there

Absolutely phenomenal! We are so glad that we came back and gave this place a second shot. We had amazing service; we couldn't decide on which wine we wanted and our server had great recommendations and brought a few tastings to help us decide. The fish was very fresh and everything tasted so good that we got seconds of multiple items. Highly recommend the S-omakase (servers choice). We told our server what we liked and she KILLED IT! Going right at the end of happy hour was the move, the crowd level was perfect! This will not be the last time here, that's for sure
Let me start by saying the food was amazing.
We ordered the Omakase and every dish was prepared to perfection and we thoroughly enjoyed every single bite. The cocktails were also delicious. But when you spend $400 for a meal before service, you expect good service. We ordered a 10 course Omakase, and throughout the meal our courses came out on top of one another, and at one point we had three courses delivered to our table none of the servers bothered to remove the finished plates. I felt it was rushed because the courses just came out on top of each other instead of being spaced. I also found that the noise level made it so that I couldn't even hear what the servers were describing for each course. Overall I spent close to $500. The food was delicious but service needs much work. For that amount of money I almost expect white tablecloth service, and this was far from it.

For all the hype this place gets, I didn't think the overall experience or food was worth it or great. If you're going to spend on sushi, go somewhere where you can enjoy the service and space. This place is always packed and hard to get a reservation, yet inside it's very loud, was stuffy and the decor doesn't align with the prices. It felt like a sushi place rather than fine dining that was meant to be an experience. The service was mediocre, our waitress didn't explain the menu or say what the specials or favorites were. She just took our order and then the food was arriving and delivered by a bunch of others. It felt rushed and not relaxing. The food overall lacked creativity and imagination. The best thing we had was the foie nigiri, for a sushi place it's just funny. The fish was fresh, but the sashimi was a bit bland, there was no soy sauce or wasabi served with it, and the rolls were the regular suspects, nothing creative. I'd rather go to Kumoya which is overall better at every level.
Wow. Amazing!! Best sushi I've had in Denver by far!
Wow. Amazing!! Best sushi I've had in Denver by far! Everything was so fresh and delicious. I went for a happy hour on my birthday and we got one drink each and a bottle of wine off their happy hour menu. I got the Ube Punch (pictured) and it was so refreshing and tasty. The happy hour nigiri is such a good deal and we got so many orders! Sushi rolls were awesome too. The service was great. Our waitress helped us understand the menu and kept coming around seeing if we wanted to order more. It was delivered to our table quickly. It's on the expensive side, but the happy hour is a great deal. Great vibes in there. 10/10 will be back!
Great experience.
Service was exceptional and loved the food. Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
This was an amazing experience.
The food was delicious. We ordered the HH omakase, the Hama chili, kinoko nabe, walu walu and some various sashimi. All of it was great! They have a wonderful variety of fish options. I would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys seafood! The ambience was very cool. I noticed that it does get louder as it gets later. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed it very much. Reservations are highly recommended for how busy they can get. Definitely worth going to and trying everything on the menu!

Uchi is one of my favorite restaurants and I can't wait to go back! The staff is always so delightful and I love how fresh everything is. I love how different Uchi in other cities there's specialty that has to do with that city, so and Denver one there's some more meat, focused dishes that change seasonally. I'm going back this weekend and I can't wait!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
