Wine, food and service were all spectacular.
This was my second visit and I will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyIt was a really great meal with really great service.
The wine was wonderful too. You won't regret coming here.
Be the first to ReplyFood came fast and satisfied the entire family.
We stayed in NY for 5 nights and we went here for 2 of them. please come here. I had the pomodoro and i can't get enough of it. amazing customer service. Because we went there 2 times the staff recognized us and welcomed us like old friends.

A HIDDEN GEM! Came here solo this past summer due to a work training & sat at the bar! The bartender was sweet and ensured that I was happy with everything. The BEST Cacio e Pepe I have ever tried (and I try it at every restaurant that has it). Definitely try the tiramisu--my favorite dessert (again, one of the best). A very casual but also sort of fancy feel to the restaurant and it's a friendly environment--made friends with other solos at the bar! GO when visiting NY!

If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant near Times Square, this is it! I took my children to New York City over the holidays, and I wanted to have dinner there with them, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. I chose this restaurant by doing a Google search of hidden gems in New York City. After taking a look at the menu and seeing that it was moderately priced, I made a reservation.I felt like we got so much value for what we paid, for this meal! We were treated extremely well. The restaurant was very cozy and had the white table clothe feeling. Everything was delicious and most of all the service was incredible! Our waiter was so attentive and did everything he could to make our visit awesome! I did not expect to get a wonderful meal with awesome service at a reasonable price right off of Times Square, New York City, over the holidays! If you're looking for a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and great service, this is the place!
Be the first to Replyit was mid tbh.
as a college kid my standards r pretty low. food is pricey obviously and the food was bland as hell. i ordered a pasta dish and my friends too but like it had 20 pounds of butter and had no taste other wise. they fill your water glass if u take 2 sips thats the only good part. overall i give this place a 2/5
Be the first to Replywe loved this place.
food and wine was amazing. it's busy and kind of small inside so definitely get a res. even with a resy we still had to wait but that's fine it was worth it.

Thank you guys so much for making our Christmas dinner phenomenal. The food was great, service immaculate,
Be the first to ReplyThe food here is fantastic.
I had the veal scaloppine which is in a category above any other scaloppine I have ever had. Their house Chardonnay was very good. I recommend this place for any high class singles looking for good food. I also recommend this place to take a date on the 4th or 5th date. The service is A+. I will be back

This is a Nice Restaurant, the kind where your waiter is highly trained and the food is delicious. Not sure if this place is angling for a Michelin or something, but what restaurant in NYC isn't? In any other American burg this would be the best restaurant in town: the place you take your prom date, propose, celebrate an anniversary. In NYC it's probably second tier...but then you only have to spend $40 per plate instead of $400, and the food is excellent. What a bargain!
Be the first to Replyexcellen food, service and ambience.
We had a great experience there. Will come back.
Be the first to ReplyFood was excellent.
We chose to eat here with a relative from Rome who was attending an engineering conference. Our meals passed muster with a native Italian, and two of us second generation Italians. Unfortunately the service was not friendly. We were not greeted with a smile and our server was curt and sometimes downright rude. That was our only experience with rudeness during our long weekend visit to NYC.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is a gem.
We hopped in to grab lunch and warm up. The bread and tomato sauce were a great start. The pasta dishes were delicious. And the tiramisu was just delightful. If you are in this neighborhood, this place will not disappoint.
Be the first to ReplyPre-Covid, my family and I have eaten here many times.
There was a brief period where they closed and luckily, now they're back open! This was the first time we ordered takeout from them but even though it was takeout, we were still happy with the results! We ordered: Cozze alla Marinara (mussels), Veal Piccata, Linguine Vongole, Spaghetti Chitarra e Gamberi (with shrimp), Grilled Squid, Risotto ai Funghi Porcini and their Lasagne al Forno. The mussels were tender and the sauce was very dippable (luckily we asked for bread since my family is big on dipping in all sorts of sauces)! When you eat at the restaurant, the bread usually comes with a tomato dip which we asked for in our takeout order as well! Don't skip out on this if you're a fan of olive oil and tomatoes, it's great on bread and I'm sure it could complement plenty of other things if you have leftovers. All of the dishes were pretty good. Some highlights would be the grilled squid (this was an entree but we shared it like an app) which was not overcooked and tasted delicious with the lemon! The spaghetti chitarra is one of my favorites and a pasta I've ordered multiple times. I love a good red based sauce with shrimp, yum! Even though I'm semi lactose intolerant, sometimes you take the hit when it's worth it as I did with the lasagna. It looks a bit messy but it hit the spot for my lasagna craving! I also think this was the first time trying their risotto and it was rich in a good way. Mushrooms have a good way of incorporating such full bodied flavor when cooked into a dish and that definitely happened with the risotto. It was a while since we'd come back but I'm glad that they survived the pandemic and you should try them out if you're in the area!
Be the first to ReplyFirst time visiting this restaurant.
We went on a Friday night and it was not busy at all. Probably because of the winter storm. We ordered the mussels, Cesar salad, lamb ragu pasta, ravioli. Tiramisu and chocolate cheesecake. The mussels were absolutely the best thing we ordered. My partner ordered them, I don't like mussels but tried them at his urging. They were delicious!! The salad was good but way too much dressing. I asked for the ravioli without meat. It was good but was a little too salty and not enough asparagus. The lamb ragu was good but a bit underwhelming. The tiramisu was just ok and the chocolate cheesecake was good. The wine was great! Lol Service was attentive and everyone was very friendly.

The food was okay but personally I don't think it worth the price. The soup was little and sad. Mussels were not tasty and the squid was okay. The bread was great ironically.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely authentic Italian food.
The lasagna is outstanding and the tiramisu rivaled what you'd have in Europe. I would recommend it to anyone looking for real Italian food
Be the first to ReplyThis Christmas Eve we reserved well in advance.
Forgot that I had ordered the fresh pasta with prosciutto and peas last time until I read my last review! We had the mussels for an app, my wife had veal in lemon sauce with spinach subbed for asparagus. I had the hay and straw pasta again. The mussels were tender and in a rich tomato broth that was outstanding. The veal was tender, flavorful and lemony. The pasta was rich, fresh and really satisfying. The super Tuscan wine was delicious and the chocolate mousse cake dessert was fabuloso! Service was stellar. This is truly a wonderful, reasonably priced, family run, delicious and authentic Italian restaurant. We will return again and again'
Be the first to ReplyMy date and I were able to get same day dinner reservations
My date and I were able to get same day dinner reservations on a busy Sunday night. I was 10 minutes but they sat me right away! We started with the burrata and tomato-- delicious. For the main entree, we ordered the veal and risotto with mushroom. It was a bit of a wait for the food to arrive. The veal was amazing, but the risotto was quite bland. Decor was your classic Italian look. I would give this place another shot.

Booked it last minute on OpenTable on a Saturday night in Midtown Manhattan so I arrived with pretty medium levels of hope. When we got there, it was packed with a buzzing crowd and waiters running around the place. It is a small place with tightly packed tables but not so close that you feel uncomfortable. Our waiter was fun, busy, with the right levels of attentiveness. Our appetizers and bread were perfect. I had a chicken and sausage entre which was fantastic. My wife had the ravioli which she was less enthused about,The wine selection was good and reasonably priced, the overall price was very reasonable for the food, drinks and experienceDefinitely going back to this one
Be the first to ReplyHad dinner there tonight and was really underwhelmed.
Our mussels seemed undercooked and the lasagna was blah and not even served hot. The bread was good as was the ravioli dish. However with NYC prices and not the best atmosphere, we really had hoped for more with the food. Would not recommend due to mediocre food.

After an afternoon of shopping , Ladies from Boston decided to stop in for a delicious Martini and an appetizer. This place is next door to the hotel we were staying at. The bartenders were amazing and so were the drinks . Had an Expresso martini and an eggplant app. Thanks Toscana 49! We will be back!
