Very good food and beautiful ambiance
This attractively decorated restaurant overlooks Columbus Circle and Central Park. The food is very good, and the prices range from mid-to-high prices. It attracts mainly locals as the museum building where its housed does not attract tourists.

A colorful establishment with a wonderful view over Central Park and Columbus Circle. The staff were extremely attentive and although we just had drinks it was a truly enjoyable experience
Be the first to ReplyGreat view, great service, great food!
This was our last night in NYC and Robert did not disappoint. We were seated at the window overlooking the circle. We received excellent service. Each course was delicious and special. The drinks were great. I will happily eat there anytime I’m in the city.

Excellent food and service was extremely wonderful. If u r in nyc you should visit it. E un posto allucinante , viel spass wenn du hier in urlaubt bist.
Be the first to ReplyGreat view. Pretty good.
The food was really beautiful, but not that tasty. Great vegetables! Excellent medium rare salmon. Dry chicken. Nondescript tuna tartare. Nice sorbets. Was expecting better. Go there for the view!
Be the first to ReplyAverage food with a nice view.
Very nice view looking down Central Park West, but the food is just average. Steaks ordered medium rare were almost well done. Vegitarian options were good. Total meal for 6 including cocktails for 3 and a bottle of wine was $1,000 including 20% tip

Booked the set Xmas lunch menu at $125 p/head - three courses - several months ago. However we would’ve walked out within minutes had we known Foie Gras was on that menu. As it was Christmas day there’d be little chance of finding another restaurant so chose something else. The barbarity that goes into the production of this dish is cruel beyond belief. Many restaurant chains in UK won’t serve it on ethical grounds as it’s too controversial. Won’t be returning to Robert while they’re still selling this. That said, the meal was fine but perhaps over priced. The ‘suggested’ tip on the cheque, was from $127-$156! for a meal (inc drinks) came to $773 - the server had the temerity to complain that I hadn’t left a tip. Felt like saying, stop endorsing vile, disgusting animal cruelty and you might get one.

Very good prix-fixe lunch in a lovely setting. I loved the parsnip soup. Don't miss it. My wife enjoyed the chicken and the desserts were yummy

My best dining experience in New York City! Victor, our server got us a seat by the window. And the service and the view were outstanding. My duck was superb and my girl friend really enjoyed her lobster also. Every single person from the wait staff to the hostess were fantastic!

What a wonderful experience. Of course the view is extraordinary. Of course the food is fantastic. Of course the wine selection is excellent. But the service! Such personal, carrying service. I was floored by how welcome we were made to feel. A very enjoyable evening thanks to heartfelt service
Be the first to ReplyGreat fixe prix lunch with views of Columbus Circle
Robert provides a great fixe prix lunch that includes scenic views of Columbus Circle. Located at the top of the same building holding the Museum of Arts & Design, the lunch I had included turnip soup, grilled salmon, and finally a strawberry cheesecake. All were excellent; this is a good choice if you're visiting the museums in this area (and in this building).

Dining at Robert is a visual delight. The views are wonderful. Our meals were good and well presented, however did not justify fine dining prices. The staff were efficient and perfunctory. Noise level was moderate at times loud making conversation difficult. Tables were appropriately socially distant.

My sister treated my wife and me to a Thanksgiving dinner here with a window table . The window view of Central Park was amazing; the food and service were equally divine. The three-course price fixe included (among other choices) a delicious mushroom strudel with micro greens with entreés, such as short ribs and turkey roullade. The pumpkin cheesecake was divine.
Be the first to ReplyCOLD AT WINDOW TABLES SO HAD TO BE MOVED
Yes, we did sit at the windows and that was good EXCEPT RIGHT IN THE WIND AND THEY COULDN'T MAKE IT WARMER so we had to move further back............what's the point? Food was fine. Service was fine. Won't be back
Be the first to ReplyNice views, modern vibes
Goof food in a modern clean setting with quick service.Branzino was very good as well as sautéed greens. Others at the table enjoyed risotto.
For dessert the goat cheese mousse with figs is highly recommended, rich and creamy, and chocolate cake was well balanced.
Views of Columbus Circle are great.
Very satisfying New York experience overall.
Terrible food, mediocre service.
The food was poorly cooked — some things overcooked, some things undercooked. Everything is sweet, lacks any creativity. Drinks are uninteresting. Service is lackadaisical.

Absolutely incredible location with beautiful decor. Everything was pristine (except the bathroom which was actually a little dirty). When my group came, there was a live pianist which helped elevate the experience. The food was spectacular. Every dish our table ordered was colorful, delicious, and fresh.
I ordered the eggs benedict with canadian bacon. The hollandaise was really delightful and the greens balanced the heaviness of the eggs benedict very well.
