Unhappy staff.
We enjoyed a character breakfast there on May 4th with 4 adults and a 2yo and a 6yo. The resort, restaurant and terrace are beautiful. The hostess asked about the kids ages and if we had any celebrations (yes, our 50th anniversary and we had pins on). The waitress never acknowledged the celebration and didn’t acknowledge that one of the kids was under 3. I asked about the 2yo’s meal and the waitress was sort of vague about it until I asked specifically about her being 2, then was told she could share off our plates or we could pay the fixed price of $30 for her to have a meal. The waitress seemed to think we should know that, but considering at other Disney character meals, under 3 is free why should we know. Since we doubted she would eat, we didn’t order a meal for her. The food was delicious. Get the steak! The quiche was good too. The avocado toast was just ok. The kids meal included 2 small waffle dippers and 2 sausages for $30, which the kids shared. The characters were good and came by twice and signed the kids books. I’m not sure why, but the staff that I saw did not seem Disney happy. Not many smiles or friendly greetings. PS. The 2yo ate the choc ‘pudding’ dip that came with the croissants and she was very happy, but it limited the character hugs.😉🤣

We visited again for breakfast but this time I didnt feel that it was as good as last time, seemed very rushed with the chaaracters and not a lot of inaction for the little ones. Food was okay. The amphoshere was great and the views outstanding from the terrace outside.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous service, but not worth the hype.
The service at Topolino’s is magnificent! Taylor was our server and was efficient, professional, friendly and attentive. Topolino’s has a recommended dress code, but it was sad to see so many guests dressed in shorts and t-shirts, so they should take the dress code away from their recommendations. The ricotta starter was delicious! However, the rigatoni was beyond salty. It was inedible! My husband’s sea bass was good, but dry. When I told Taylor that my food wasn’t good, she apologized and asked if I wanted anything else. I said no, because everyone else in my party had finished their meal and there was nothing on the menu I wanted. However, I was still charged for the meal. The ambiance of the room was taken away by the large open size of it. Views were nice from our table’s window. The terrace was so nice! We have now tried Topolino’s and have no reason to go back. For the price you pay, I was disappointed.

My daughter and I took her kid age 3 and 5 here for the character breakfast. You now order an entree. We got 2 different ones and they were delicious. Eggs, sausage and potatoes. Waffles. The kids got Mickey waffles and they came on a stick so easy for them to eat. You also get delicious pastries with butter and chocolate to dip them in. Each character came around once and hugged the kids and took pictures. Great way to start the day

Best food and service of all Disney restaurants!!!! They cater to food allergies better than than any other restaurant at Disney, offer free view of EPCOT fireworks view, and a super knowledgeable and caring staff. And the food is AMAZING!

Be the first to ReplyOur vacation dining highlight!
If you want a superb dining experience, choose this restaurant when visiting Walt Disney World. From the ambiance, service, views of the fireworks, and taste of the food you won’t be disappointed. Sami our waiter took great care of us! He brought us champagne before ordering when asked if we were celebrating anything and mentioning it was our anniversary. We ordered the gnocchi, filet, rigatoni and Brussel sprouts and each dish had a lot of flavor. For dessert we ordered the crème brûlée and the chocolate cake. Both were delicious. As for cocktails the old fashion and pomegranate were outstanding in our opinion. The outside terrace was closed due to rain but opened up just in time for the firework show. Sami said he’d have our entree delivered after the show which we thought was so sweet. The fireworks Soundtrack played while the show was going on, was truly magical! Thank you to chef Chris and staff for a wonderful dining experience we’ll never forget!
Be the first to ReplyGreat time at the Riviera
We are DVC members for over 30 years, so we have been to many of the restaurants in Walt Disney World. We have been to Topolino’s a number of times over the last few years. Each time the food and service has been exceptional. Some of our favorites are the gnocchi, sea scallops, filet mignon, the bouillabaisse and the crème brûlée. Everything there is delicious. I highly recommend for a special occasion. It is expensive but well worth it.

Visited for breakfast to see the characters with my 12 year old twins. It is very hard to get a reservation here so check often. We love the place. You open your wallet for breakfast food but you can skip waiting in line at the parks to see a few characters. Service and food are great. Characters come to your table to interact, sign autographs, and take photos. You can jump on the Skyliner and head to Epcot or Hollywood Studios from here as well. The more strict dress code only seems to apply at dinner.
Be the first to ReplySweet experience
Came here for the character breakfast, absolutely loved it! There are 4 characters; Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Daisy each with Riviera clothing. It’s a really sweet experience for young children as each character comes round to your table in turn for a good amount of time. Every so often there is a song and dance done by the characters which interrupts the meet and greet and then go for a short 5 minute break but they return to the last table they were at and our server made sure we had our turn with each character. It’s worth taking a look out on the terrace after you’ve eaten to take in the true scale of the WDW resort where you can see most parks in the distance. The food is very good, only thing not recommended by our family were the eggs served fried. The unlimited POG juice is very welcome and the best juice in the world! The resort is best reached via the Skyliner from adjacent resorts or parks. Overall a very pleasing experience but expensive so is definitely a treat!

We hadn’t eaten in this hotel before and our friends had told us how good it was so we were pleased to be able to get a reservation for a sensible time on a Friday night. We arrived by car and were able to park quite close to the hotel once having proved that we had a dinner reservation. The restaurant is on the top floor with a great view over the Disney park area. The restaurant is large and tables reasonably well spaced. Its decor wasn’t particularly themed but felt classy. Our waiter was very good throughout the meal and helped us have an excellent evening. We ordered drinks and they arrived quickly along with some excellent bread and some super olive oil. We decided to go for a main course and dessert so skipped the appetisers. As in other Disney restaurants the menu isn’t long but there were enough great dishes to select from. I chose the lamb shank and my wife the scallops. Both were great - I asked for it to come with mashed potatoes rather than polenta and it was beautifully cooked. The scallops we cooked just right and although there were only 4 on the squash risotto they were large so it was quite a filling dish. The dessert menu is only 3 items plus ice cream so that was a shame but we both found an excellent dish out of the 3 - me the crème brûlée and my wife the chocolate cake (or chocolate fondant as we call it in the UK). Didn’t want the meal to finish but all great things have to come to an end! As you would imagine as a signature Disney restaurant it isn’t cheap but we did believe that it was worth the money. Hope we can return one day!
Be the first to ReplyBest Rigatoni Ever!
Fantastic spot for a late EPCOT area dinner .. .. The staff was nice enough to give our party of 13 a cozy, semi-private corner .. .. Had a lovely mocktail before digging in to their homemade RIGATONI and I do believe it was the best I've had .. .. Luscious .. .. As we had a late dinner, our lovely server TAYLOR let us take our time so we could enjoy EPCOTs fireworks from their balcony .. .. Dinner was terrific and leisurely .. .. THANKS TAYLOR!!
Be the first to ReplyA favorite of ours at Walt Disney Worl
One of our favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World is located at the top of Disney’s Riviera resort. We have eaten there several times and never have been disappointed. We had a 3 course dinner and a total of 3 drinks and 2 specialty coffees. My daughter had Dover sole which is difficult to find and I had the lamb shank. I was told that this is the second most difficult reservation to get at WDW. In addition, it does have an outside terrace for drinks, etc. which offers the best views of the fireworks at EPCOT. The bar drink menu is more than adequate. It is fine dining and the cost was a bit over $120 per person at the end.

Located on top floor of the Riviera Hotel this place cannot get much better. View of Disney and fireworks at 9pm. We had delicious octopus for appetizer and bouillabaisse which could not have been more satisfying! Gotta try this place.
Be the first to ReplyOverall Decent but Slightly Disappointing
My family and I ate at Topolino's for breakfast during our trip in January 2023. It was a highly anticipated meal as we had heard it was the best character meal and the that the food was excellent. In the end, we left a bit disappointed with our experience. Nothing was really bad but there were some things that we felt could have been better, especially considering this is such a difficult reservation to snag and that this is a top tier restaurant at the Riviera. I'll start with the good: 1. The food: The food was excellent. Our entire party enjoyed the food immensely. Our server brought us out a basket of fresh pastries, which were delicious. They come in a cute paint bucket, which adds to the atmosphere. Our sever explained that we get to pick one full sized entrée and then a half portion of another. I understand that as of March 2023 this is now no longer the case but this is how it was when we visited. Anyway, I ordered steak as my main and the sour cream waffles as my half. Both were excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly rare and the waffles were probably the best I've ever had. The rest of my family enjoyed their food as well. We left the restaurant very full. 2. The Characters: The characters include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy. The are all dressed in artist attire so it makes for a unique meet and greet. As always, the character interactions were great. Each one stopped by our table and my son loved meeting them all. There were never any periods where they were absent for long periods of time. 3. The Atmosphere: The restaurant itself is beautiful. A tremendous amount of thought and care went into its design. The tables are decently spread out. You are not almost on top of one another like you are at some Disney restaurants. There is a wonderful balcony which gives you some great views as well. Now for the ok: 1. Service: This is not to say that our server was bad but he was just ok. We felt he didn't check on us enough times. There were times when we would have ordered more beverages from the bar but by the time he came around to check on us, we were done with our meal and ready to go. There were long periods of time when he seemed to disappear. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and did give good recommendations. Again not to say he was bad but the service could have been better. 2. Wait times for the food: This is the main reason why I think we left disappointed. The wait time for our food was incredibly long. I'd say it was close to 45-60 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we got our food. I wouldn't say its lack of staff in the kitchen, since you can see the kitchen from the dining room and it was fully staffed. I think the reason for the long waits is because each guest is able to order two entrees. Because of this, a simple four top becomes and eight top. The kitchen is cooking double the amount of food it normally would for each table. I think this really contributes to long wait times. I also believe this is the reason they have made the recent change of guests now only getting one entrée instead of two. I certainly understand it's a busy restaurant and that the food is not made in a microwave but as a veteran of the service industry, those wait times are too long. 3. Disorganized Check-in Process: The check in process was a bit disorganized. After checking in we stood to the side and waited for hostess to take us to our table. I'll say that for as busy as this restaurant is, the waiting area is very small. I would have expected it to be bigger, especially since guests are not seated after checking in. We probably waited 20 minutes to be sat after check-in, which is fine, but the waiting area was very crowded due to its small size. I am also pretty sure they sat us at the wrong table. The hostess who sat us did not seem overly familiar with the process and seemed confused. We were sat at a four top but had 4 adults and 1 toddler. We made it work but at all our other sit down meals, we were never sat at a table that small. During our meal, we had another staff member come over to us and ask our name of our party and confirm our number. There was obviously some confusion about our seating somewhere along the line. Conclusion: While the food and character interactions were incredible, I am not sure if I would eat breakfast here again. Nothing was really bad, it could be that the restaurant was having an off day. Again nothing was really bad, just a number of little things that made the experience somewhat disappointing. My wife and I did say we would like to try dinner so we'll likely be back, just not for breakfast.
Be the first to ReplySo good we went twice!
We really wanted to try Topolino’s for breakfast and were really happy that we managed to snag two reservations. We went here for our wedding anniversary and we’re greeted warmly by Mike D who explained the menu and got us started with drinks and pastries. Those pastries are delicious, especially the apple crumb cake. For the main event we both opted for the steak, one of us had the quiche and the other, avo on toast as sides. Everything was delicious and excellent quality. Mike was really friendly and helpful. On our second visit Jenny F was a delight and we opted for the same food choices minus the avo and went for the Mickey waffles instead. The characters were so fun, we FaceTime’d family and the characters were great at interacting with them, especially naughty Donald! I think it’s great value for what you get too, I believe the menu has changed slightly and you don’t get the additional sides but you won’t be leaving hungry! The terrace is stunning with views across to Caribbean Beach and the other parks. Easily the best character meal at WDW and a great way to spend our anniversary.

A friend had recommended this restaurant and we were fortunate to get a reservation. The food was wonderful, the 4 characters interacted with every table but the service was another level of excellence. Our server, Shannon, could not have been more attentive. Further, she connected with my granddaughter (who’s 9) so well that she’s asking when we can go back. I was impressed that our server asked about food sensitivities. She provided a gluten-free bread basket for the one member of our party who fit that category. It wasn’t necessary or asked for, simply offered and delivered, Thank you, Shannon, and the rest of your cast members who gave us a truly memorable dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyFlooding
I planned a hotel day during my stay at the Riviera. It’s a gorgeous hotel. However, while dining at Toppolino’s a storm was coming in. The staff locked the terrace doors. We were sitting by the terrace. Well, it started to flood so badly, that people sitting in that area had to be uprooted. A waitress took it upon herself to hold the doors closed and use material napkins to soak up the flood of water coming in. It took maintenance way too long to come up to rectify the situation. When they got up to the restaurant, they didn’t bring anything with them. It took them an additional 10 minutes to gather towels to soak up the flood ridden floor. If the smart thinking waitress didn’t think fast by holding the doors closed, it could have been a catastrophe. Maintenance was so slow in their actions.
Be the first to ReplyIt was just okay
Okay I hate giving less then steller reviews and do a lot of research before I go places to hopefully not have to do this. I was DYING to go to Topolinos based on everyones reviews all over the internet, however when I went it wasn't that for me. First of it is a little stuffy feeling. Even dressed sort of nice for a day at the parks I felt out of place. Check in on the mobile app was easy but waiting at the top was PACKED. Once seated it took a bit of time to get to order. The pasty basked was GREAT. The rest of my meal was only okay. Waitress was lovely. Now the big thing, the character interaction.. they are SO CUTE. Love their outfits etc. But compared to other ones I did in the same week this one felt sooooo rushed. The do a little dance around the room too but several sections of the restaurant you cannot even see them from. I don't know if I would go again for the price. Over all it was decent food, a clean restaurant with a neat view. But I would recommend different Character breakfasts over this one.

We had a wonderful character breakfast experience at Topolino's. The food, service, and character meet-and-greet was one of our favorites and a highlight of our trip!
Be the first to ReplyDon't eat here if you have allergies or enjoy good service, If I could have given a 0 I would have
Topolinos 17th May 7.35 booking for 3 $250 If I could have given a 0 I would have On the 17th May 3 of us went to Topolinos, We explained about my allergies which should have also been on the booking details, the server was ok, was sat for 25 minutes before she even spoke to us. It took ages and a lot of persuasion for her to agree to get the chef after trying to order different options due to allergies. This is the only Disney restaruant that didn't automatically offer to get the chef first. So the boys had starter I was told I could taste one and not the other, but I suspect she got them the wrong way round, as soon as I tried the starter I started having a sneezing fit which is how it all starts and I know I can be in for a difficult night. As not only do I get blisters everything then got straight through me. So with not having a starter, I was so excited to have main, couldn’t have lobster as was already prept, couldn’t have risotto as again prep, and was told it would be an hour, I am a good cook and know that it does not take an hour to cook, so I was offer Scallops and roast potatoes. I must say I feel they are not geared up for anyone who has an allergy and apart from bread and scallops (I love fish) not what I was expecting. Three scallops and potatoes that are clearly not roasted or intact, I eat the scallops left the potatoes (the boys ate some) We paid $50 dollar for 3 scallops and overcooked mangled up potatoes. the waitress told us the manager was busy so unable to apologies about the scallops. To say it was a disappointment is an understatement they can’t cater for allergies and I think they could have tried harder. Reviews had been amazing and my husband really wanted to try here. The drinks took an age to come out, waitress was not helpful or attentive not just us but the table along from us. When we asked about fireworks was told we were not aloud to go out to the viewing area, or go up to the windows. If you are thinking of eating here don't, go to the Grand Floridian, where they are polite and helpful with allergies.
Be the first to Reply1st Topolino Character Breakfast experience
We stayed at our home resort, Disney Riviera resort for the first time. We wanted our child’s character meal to be at Topolino’s. I got the sour cream waffle and a side white egg fritata. Our child got Mickey Mouse waffle dippers and my husband and mom in law got the butcher steak and the french toast. We are happy with the breakfast choices. All delicious. Coffee was good and the pastries they brought with homemade sauces were good. Michelle was her server. She is good to us. Our child got to take pics with her favorites, Minnie and Daisy. She enjoyed the little character song show they had and laughed at Donald shaking his tail feather and Daisy messed with Mickey.

Be the first to ReplyWorst dining experience of my life.
My 2 teen granddaughters and I visit Disney World twice a year and this was our second time at Topolinos Terrace this year. In June we had an excellent meal but on the evening of October 26th we were dining to celebrate my younger granddaughter’s 13th birthday and I can’t begin to describe how despicably we were treated from the moment we arrived. We were seated in the farthest empty corner of the restaurant and the staff refused to move us into the actual restaurant where all other diners were seated and watching fireworks. I spoke twice to the manager, Kyle Baker and he was undeniably the rudest and most uncaring man I’ve ever dealt with anywhere and especially on Disney property! The food and service was so below par and nothing, absolutely nothing was done to remedy the situation or make my granddaughter feel remotely special on her birthday. What a shame as well as a waste of more than $200. Beware of the restaurant until Disney and the Riviera management demotes Mr Baker. Sorely disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyWorth a Visit EVERY Disney Trip!
I've been to this restaurant 3 times this year and I'm not a Florida local if that says anything. I've visited for the character breakfast when Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy are all dressed up, and it is my favorite Disney restaurant! The food is amazing and rivals all of the other Disney restaurants I've been to. Try the Butcher Steak and the Sour Cream Waffles! Order two entrees! Its included in the cost of breakfast. The service is impeccable. Many of the servers are veterans of Disney and have worked there all over the parks for 10+ years and know how to juggle your needs and make you feel special. The characters come up to each table and spend QUALITY TIME with everyone at your party. The characters are wonderful and respond to the vibe of each table. If a little one is timid, they are encouraging or offer to come back later. I try to reserve this restaurant EVERY time I visit the Disney area!
