Basically nice but not worth it
Second visit in 3 months. Was not impressed at all. First time it seemed like a good experience, however, yesterday, was very underwhelming across the board. Atmosphere is nice. If you’re used to great tables in Europe, this is normal, but fancy f
If you prepay, you will get stiffed with a bill twice what you expect.
Had heard good things about this place. Found them on opentable. They required a prepaid reservation for $300. Get there on time, everything seems cool. Then in the middle of out meal, I get an alert from Opentable that we were getting refunded?
Tasteless food, overpriced through the roof
Ah! Horrible food. Horrible, tasteless, overpriced food. Service is actually ok. Well the "breakfast sandwich" — an egg scramble, worth of one (1) egg!! So hard I could use a chainsaw to cut it up. McDonald's style bun, a bunch of g

The food was underwhelming. We were also a bit confused as to why the food deviated from the menu for some but not for others. Outdoor dining and parking are available.
A pub burger and Bâtard Montrachet.
nothing better!! The wine list is like a phone book. Very extensive, impressive and delicious. on any given night there's 3 to 5 wine sommeliers to assist in the perfect selection. The food is equally impressive. Great service/staff.

The restaurant goes above and beyond in both food and service. We try to eat at the Bar, because it's less expensive, and we enjoy Chris who usually works Wednesdays and Sundays. Larry of Redwood City

Lovely, cozy atmosphere, great food and wine service, and very well executed food. Very nice wine list. One small hiccup ... martini I ordered hadn't come by the time the wine service started. Nice plate of amuse bouches to start. The Dungeness c

This place is a gem, a bit off the beaten track, with a wonderful menu. Perfect for special clients or friends, expensive but great value considering the quality of food and service. The menu changes, so check ahead but everything I've had, every tin
Lovely evening on the patio at VP.
Seating was comfortable and the patio heaters kept us warm. Everyone was friendly and helpful in running through the menu. The star of the show was the food!! Delicious flavors, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully timed. I tried the panzotti and

This review is more for myself as I like to keep tabs on certain restaurants I have on a "to try" list. Of the many Michelin rated spots we've tried this one didn't quite measure up. The service, ambiance, and wine list were definitely to
First, a shoutout to Bill K.
for being the sweetest, most attentive server I have ever met! My husband and I dined at The Village Pub tonight, to celebrate my 1 year of being Cancer free. Super friendly, caring staff took care of everything. Our server, Bill, took the time to

Great place to celebrate something special!
One of the nicest place in Woodside. It's known for its upscale dining experience and offers a menu featuring a variety of contemporary American and California cuisine. The Village Pub in Woodside is well-regarded for its elegant ambiance, extensiv

This is a followup to my recent post.
I did actually get a call from Juan and we had a very pleasant conversation. I now have a better understanding of why he was unable to respond sooner and believe that he is taking constructive steps to improve the Village Pub customer experience. &qu

Our server was extremely disdainful, unwelcoming, and ill-mannered!!! One of the WORST servers I've had if not the WORST. I actually felt uncomfortable eating here because of his demeanor. He made snarky comments and didn't check up on us at all. He

Came here during the pandemic for some take-out.
More recently, for a holiday meal with the family which was 5 stars all the way. Service was spectacular. Latest visit was the weekend brunch. Prix fixe brunch. Did I mention the delicious mini scones? Photos say it all. Will I be returning? YE

The Village Pub gives a really memorable dining experience.
The amazing ambiance of the place strikes you the instant you walk in. The main drawback is that parking might be difficult because the lot fills up quickly. But nonetheless, the effort is well worth it for the excellent cuisine and service on offer
Over rated, overpriced ordinary food.
Not worth the effort. If it wasn't for the company we kept, would not bother again........

First of all, I would like to say that I am not a "fine dining" person. My partner wanted to experience a Michelin star restaurant. I assumed it would be pretentious and overpriced, and I certainly was lot let down -- it was both, in spade
Quite good but also pricey
Took friends to dinner here to thank them. Tremendous experience as service is outstanding, atmosphere quite pleasant and food presentation is wonderful. A Michelin restaurant is always a treat- you know everything will be top notch. At the same

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to The Village Pub Woodside at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the The Village Pub Woodside page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at The Village Pub Woodside to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at The Village Pub Woodside!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
