The Only True Bora Bora Experience
The St. Regis Bora Bora is where we spent our honeymoon 10 years ago, and where we just returned from for our 10 year anniversary trip. There was a snag in our reservation, through no fault of the St. Regis, but rather a booking agent, but they went totally above and beyond to not only make the situation right, but make our trip even more special than we could have ever thought. If you are looking for other options in Bora Bora, you don’t need to look elsewhere – book the St. Regis. For one, it’s the best view on the island, and that’s why you’re there, but it’s more than that – it’s the feeling of how the wonderful staff makes you feel truly special (even though most of the people there are all celebrating something special to them). Emmanuel, Julien, Josh, Diana, and Carmen cannot be said more for – they are amazing humans that make the St. Regis the one and only destination in Bora Bora. Mauruuru to you all!
Be the first to ReplyIa Orana! Second trip here and won't be the last
What a wonderful trip! My husband and I visit in March for our 10 year anniversary. We spent our honeymoon here 10 years ago. We also stayed at Taha'a for our honeymoon but opted to stay at the St Regis for the entirety of this anniversary trip. We stayed 8 nights. Anything less than 6 would have felt much too short for us. Not much had changed in the 10 years between our trips — meaning the resort is well maintained and its luxury has held through. Our room was comfortable and clean. We appreciated the extras in our rooms - treats, body oils, etc. I even saved the daily postcards and put them in a large floating frame to hang in our home to remind of us the beautiful island. A couple things we noticed that might be helpful to future travelers: - The butlers are amazing and work long hard days. We had Damian and he was the best! So kind, attentive and on top of everything. He came to find us to check in every day and arranged for a cover when he had his days off. - Also amazing...the beach boys! They work hard, are SO friendly and welcoming and a pleasure to spend time with. We also enjoyed getting to know the French interns/staff. - Mosquitos weren't horrible but definitely bring repellant and after bite creme. - It would have been nice to have Tahitian/island music over "today's top hits" at restaurants. - For the Tahitian night, we noticed there is no longer a fire show which was a part of the show 10 years ago. Maybe it is a safety issue now? - If you're considering the Four Seasons over St Regis, take into account that the St Regis has more restaurants and the rooms are larger. - Pre-dinner cocktails at Lagoon is beautiful and relaxing! The sunsets are unreal. We went there every night prior to dinners. - LOVED the shell necklace making class. Make sure to check the weekly schedule for the classes such as floral crown making (you need a reservation), themed dinner nights at Aparima, and more. - There were quite a few families at the restaurants/beach area every day. When we stayed for our honeymoon we didn't notice any families. Just something to expect if you're looking for a quiet romantic escape - we left our young kids at home for some quiet :). There is also a nice quiet adult pool. - We enjoyed the free boat/bus shuttle into Viatape to search for locally made souvenirs and to see the island. We ended up taking this trip on the same day as a big cruise ship was in town so if you want a less-busy trip, ask which day to go. - We booked through Pacific for Less for both trips and highly recommend Claudia and her team! She took care of all the travel details, including getting us lounge access at the Tahiti airport (this was important! AC, food, drinks, shower, etc), and also front of line access upon arrival in Tahiti to skip the customs line. She also arrange a preferred room, massages, shark/ray tour (A MUST TOUR!), dinner reservations, and more. - Nice, cool gym with updated equipment. We really enjoyed a morning of tennis too. - Don't miss snorkeling in the lagoonarium. - Ladies - you can wear comfortable low heels to dinner. We called the butler service for a cart ride every evening. - Every room has their own bikes and we used them daily! Our room was further away so this was super helpful. - Schedule coffee to be delivered every morning. Ah, I want to be there right now! Really looking forward to going back! Now we might not be able to wait until 10 years so might come back for 15 if we can. I'd choose the St Regis again in a heartbeat!
Be the first to ReplySimply the Best!!!
This is without-a-doubt simply the best resort we have ever stayed at. I was celebrating a big birthday and my husband and I wanted to go somewhere special. We've always talked about going to Bora Bora but we were not prepared for for what we found. It is quite simply breathtaking; the most beautiful place we've ever been -- by far. The water is actually that shade of blue. It is warm, transparent, and filled with sea life. The air is sweet and the view of Mount Otemanu is right out of South Pacific. My husband is Marriott Ambassador Elite and their entire team went above and beyond to make our stay spectacular. This excellent service began before we even left with his personal ambassador Diego Armando-Juarez Soto, who let us know what to expect and ensured that our stay would be nothing less than perfect. This high level of service was picked up the second we stepped off the St. Regis boat, which picked us up at the airport, when we met our butler, Nicholas, who took great care of us throughout our stay. He was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and professional. I wouldn't be surprised to find him managing this property one day. He gave us a fun tour of the 44 acre resort, let us know about the restaurants on site, made reservations for us, plus told us all about excursions, and took care of whatever we needed -- big or small -- throughout our stay. As for the resort itself, it's not exaggerating to say it's as if someone decided to create heaven on earth. Flawlessly designed to organically fit into the natural surroundings, it's hard to tell where nature ends and where the resort begins. It is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. We had a 1550 sq ft. overwater bungalow and every morning we woke up and jumped into the warm water just outside, as we waited for the staff to bring us our freshly-brewed coffee. Getting around the resort, we rode on bikes provided by the hotel. As my husband said, it was the most fun bike ride he'd ever taken. The breakfast buffet offered traditional American-style food plus several delicious Polynesian options. Teva and JC provided excellent service in the restaurant and also took great steps to make sure our stay -- and especially my birthday -- was perfect. The food at the other restaurants was hit and miss but generally acceptable. If you do go, you must go on a snorkeling excursion. It was really great to be out on the water, taking in the spectacular beauty at every turn, but it actually ended up being our most fun days ever! We saw multi-colored coral and even swam--up close-- with eagle rays and black tip sharks! At one point we were swimming surrounded by about three dozen of them. They are friendly and do not harm humans but seeing a shark swim right toward you is not something you ever think you'll experience. We also took a catamaran sunset cruise which was unforgettable. The hotel can help you book these experiences. The entire staff was the best! This also includes our other butler, Damien; Ruben, at the beach; Marian at the front desk, and especially Cedric, one of the hotel managers, who went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. Our week at the St. Regis was nothing less than magical. We didn't want to leave and we will definitely be back.

St Regis is exceptional. Food, staff were amazing. Loved the overwater bungalow. Service was excellent. We booked through Pacific for less and that was the best decision ever. Seamless from the minute we touched down in Tahiti. They organized everything with attention to detail . Best vacation ever!
Be the first to ReplySpend the money & stay here, you’ll be glad you did. I will forever cherish these memories.
We actually stayed here in Oct 2022. Beautiful resort, friendly & helpful staff. We stayed in an overwater bungalow. We ate at the grinch restaurant on site twice because the food and service was impeccable. We did a couples massage at the spa, again that experience was amazing. I highly recommend anyone considering a trip to Bora Bora to stay here.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect service
Quality service you would expect from a St Regis. Coupled with the most amazing location equals the best vacation destination. Overwater villas exceeded all expectations. We were greeted every morning by a sea turtle. Nearby snorkeling spots were some of the best in the world. Food was amazing in all 4 restaurants.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing stay!!!
My stay at the St Régis Bora Bora was absolutely exceptional. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a warm and professional staff who immediately exceeded all my expectations. The facilities are simply sumptuous, with overwater bungalows offering stunning views of the crystal clear waters and majestic Mount Otemanu. The quality of service is second to none, with every detail taken care of to ensure absolute comfort. The hotel's restaurants offer exquisite cuisine, showcasing local and international flavors. In addition, the activities offered, such as boat excursions or jet ski tours of the island, allow you to discover the dazzling beauty of the island. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience in Bora Bora. My stay was simply perfect, and I can't wait to return to this little corner of paradise.
Be the first to ReplySpectacular paradise in Bora Bora!!!
What to talk about Bora Bora? And what about this spectacular hotel? A true paradise, a magical place full of many beauties!!! The hotel is simply beautiful, luxurious, chic, with many leisure options, beautiful beach, exclusive pool for couples, another pool to enjoy with family and friends, cold beer, lots of drinks, diving spot to admire the fish, spa , yoga, gym, several restaurants with different cuisines and all of them wonderful, sensational breakfast with delicious tuna in coconut milk! We were welcomed with a beautiful dance and Tiare flower necklaces, I can't forget the smell of this flower! The suite is simply incredible, huge, overlooking the sea, with entrance hall, glass floor to admire the sea water and the fish, living room, bedroom, huge bathroom with a hydro, private deck with sun loungers, with a charming view of a beautiful sunrise and every day, the maid left us a little oil of the famous Polynesian Vanilla! A luxury! The hotel is large and has a bicycle in the room, you can also request a golf cart transportation service, which will take you wherever you want within the hotel, or even take a walk to the pool, to the restaurants, to the main reception, small shop, where you can admire nature and the beauties of the hotel.
Be the first to ReplySecond Time - Just as Magical!
Like others in the reviews - we took a bucket list trip last February and had to get back again this Spring. There is truly nowhere like this property anywhere. It's amazing that anyone can give this resort less than 5 stars. We stayed for 10 nights in a Premium OWB with Mountain view this visit. - The grounds are immaculate with beauty everywhere. A different view from every angle. We love taking morning walks and riding bikes at night to and from dinner. - The food is off the charts. We didn't make it to Lagoon this time for dinner (but highly recommend) - had Farniente 3x (twice delivered as room service on request), Bamboo and lots of meals at the main restaurants. Breakfast is my favorite - how can even the eggs be so much better than at home? Even the club sandwich, pizza and burgers can't be missed. We went off resort one night for dinner and wished we'd stayed onsite. - The staff! If you spend time at the main pool / beach the team there will get to know you quickly & by name. You never touch a beach towel or have to get up to find cold water. Occasional cold (& scented) towels & fresh fruit snacks show up at just the right time. Swim up bar drinks are A++ as is the service and everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly. We did notice that the butler team seemed much busier this year than last, which limited some of the personal attention we'd loved previously - but both Chloe & Taimanu were outstanding and somehow took care of many many rooms at the same time. I wish I had captured the name of some of the servers and hosts at breakfast and lunch too. So friendly and amazing with knowing names and preferences. - Special touches everywhere. Beautiful housekeeping flowers on the bed & amazing turndown service. Phones for direct service at the adult pool. Jean-Charles, General Manager (I think!?) of a couple of the restaurants - had a custom drink created for me and then sent the recipe to every bar onsite so they could make it when we visited. Gifts upon check in and out. The team looks for a way to say "yes" to every request - from a yoga mat showing up within minutes at our bungalow for the stay to allowing us to move to our preferred room when it became available. My husband wasn't feeling well one day and as soon as one person heard he had personal check ins by phone and when he was out around the resort. - Things to do - The spa was amazing like last time - we even booked a second couples massage. The only other excursion we did was deep sea fishing through the Concierge team with Seawolf - highly recommend them as well. Lagoonarium is always fun and we saw sea turtles, sharks & rays daily around our bungalow. - Other Stuff: mosquitos this time. Mostly in the mornings on the deck at our OWB. Just one or two but I left with 5-6 bites. Nothing crazy. It rained twice - neither for longer than 30 minutes the whole time we were there. We were there for our 5th anniversary and for my bday - neither were acknowledged by the team, but if you can't tell we felt pampered and taken care of 24/7 regardless. Most of all, this location is truly like living in a screen saver. Even at capacity the resort feels private and spacious. We will most definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyHoneymoon at The St. Regis Bora Bora
Our 5 night stay at the St. Regis met all of our expectations. The overwater bungalow was clean, spacious, and of course air-conditioned...however we did request an additional fan for circulation and additional cooling. The smart TVs were nice, however we didn't use them much. Maid servive, evening turn-down service, and Butler servive were all outstanding. Mini-bar stocking, ice bucket refills, were just a phone call away. In room amenities were also top quality including bath robes, slippers, massage oils, and toiletries. Bicycles are provided for all of the guests and we enjoyed using them to ride around the resort, mostly to breakfast in the mornings. A ride in a golf cart is always available if you choose, if you are tired or just want to go for a ride around the property, just call the magic number 9 on the phone. The breakfast buffet was nice enough, what made it special for us was the made-to-order eggs delivered to your table fresh and hot from the kitchen. Overall our honeymoon at the St. Regis was spectacular. My only con would be the lack of ceiling fans in all of the public areas where possible. Pacific For Less arranged our trip to French Polynesia which included 3 nights in Moorea, 5 nights in BoraBora, with multiple tours in both places. PFL also arranged for a Continental breakfast to be delived to our bungalow by canoe one morning, it was extra special.
Be the first to ReplyBora Bora and St.Regis hotel
If you want to get a really realistic impression of the hotel, food,...then read to the end. I don't know how people keep their homes tidy when they praise something like that in reviews? I also don't know where they have traveled so far and where they have stayed in the world? I'm not just talking about this hotel, but in general I see people being unrealistic in reviews. The St. Regis Hotel has very bad service - in general. Half of the employees are really trying, 25% of them are not properly trained, and 25% just do their job. A big difference from eastern countries, where they have kindness in their genes. But this part about the employees is probably the same in all hotels in Bora Bora. In a couple of years, we were among the four best here. I have a feeling that Bora Bora is generally going downhill. In St.Regis room service sometimes brings a glass of water, mostly not, sometimes they bring butter and bread, mostly not. Pumpkin soup, which is on the menu, is not available on weekends!? No protokol... They do not refill the tea in the room during the 10th day. When I made the reservation, I was asked what the reason for the trip is. I wrote that my wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and asked for a room with a view of the mountain. Of course, I didn't get a view of the mountain, not even a small gift of attention, some kind of drink or something similar. We talked to other guests and they were also unhappy about it. We had an accident, because we had an extremely bad butler. Breakfast is on level of the 3 stars hotel. For such a price and a 5-star hotel, this is unacceptable! There is no freshly squeezed juice, sometimes it is some food or joghurt there, sometimes something else is missing. There is no protocol, no staff training. No tropical fruit!? In the 10th day, maybe a couple (3days)of pineapples, a couple (3 days) of papayas, a couple (4 days)of oranges, otherwise sliced!? banana and sliced!? apples. 5 star hotel on a tropical island? On the other hand, the nature on Bora Bora is beautiful, the rooms in St Regis are very large, clean every day, the surroundings are also extremely clean, they also have an extremely good restaurant (Lagoon), which is at the highest level, a positive surprise! Excellent wine list, excellent service, they must do with the food menu, but a fantastic restaurant with a bar, where you drink an aperitif while watching the sunset...

Amazing… I had some high expectations for this trip… St. Regis delivered and exceeded our expectations. We booked through Costco Travel and we were there for 4 nights and 5 days. We stayed in OWB. We never left the resort and found all the restaurants to be really good and the service was impeccable. We highly recommend.

Magnificent hotel, grounds that are fun to bike around (they provide bikes) lots of lagoons, privacy, great staff and 3 restaurants with very good food...one day we took short cruise to Bora Bora island, rented a car and drove around the island which was 45 minutes...stopped at lovely bar/restaurant with all French wines/champagnes...we stayed in private bungalow w/our own pool w/beach in front of us...

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at the St. Regis, and we were completely blown away! Before we arrived, we told everyone this was a once in a lifetime opportunity but now that we have experienced St. Regis Bora Bora, we know we will have to come back. It is completely magical and unlike any other place we’ve ever seen. Yes, it’s expensive and yes, it’s a long flight, but it is all worth it… I promise! A big shout out to our butler, Violaine, who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special!
Be the first to ReplyTips for Paradise
Tips: bring bug spray or bug wipes, it’s $40ish at the gift shop. Apply it starting at the airport, even if you don’t see them. Almost all the restaurants are outdoors, so you will get bit. Bring wine, rum, or vodka from a duty free store from a major airport before Tahiti (PPT is super small and expensive). Drinks were $25-30 each at the hotel! I had an all inclusive package from Costco, but drinks were not included and add up fast. It might also have been nice to have a few snacks from home. Nuts would have been nice to bring on the snorkeling or ATV trip. If you want to see fish/turtles from your bungalow, ask the staff for a room recommendation before you get there. The butler shared with us that there’s a family of three turtles that live at the resort and I think he said they stay under 220. We were at 321 at first and saw a turtle swim by one day. We switched to 110 for the last two nights and a turtle hung out under our bungalow for a good hour-I had great viewing from the glass panel in the front room at around 4pm. Ask for a list of weekly activities before you get there. I had done research and requested all the restaurants I wanted to go to, but didn’t know there was a Polynesian night on Wednesday with a buffet and show. Had I known, I would have opted for that instead of the Italian restaurant for the second time :/ There were also other activities around the resort that you would only know about if you got the weekly activities in advance (making flower crowns on Wed morning, listening to the biologist at the lagoon, etc). Book activities in advance. I was glad we booked scuba diving, massages, and atv tour, and jet skiing in advance. When I went to ask the concierge about snorkeling with rays the activity was sold out; however, I was able to book the snorkeling with rays trip on the Bonvoy website the night before and was picked up the next morning with no problem. The snorkeling with rays was probably my favorite because we had 4 stops-manta rays, eagle rays, the “aquarium,” and a coral garden. We spent about 20-30 minutes at each place which felt like enough. Lastly, don’t forget a cheap underwater camera or GoPro and if you have your own mask-bring it.

tl;dr the service is perfect and the resort is amazing, and If you have the means, eat at Lagoon every night (unless you get a chance to score a reservation at Villa Majana) We stayed at the St. Regis for four nights as part of our honeymoon. Despite our extensive travel, we found it to be one of if not the best hotel experience we’ve been fortunate to enjoy. We were taken by boat to the resort and greeted with beverages, leis and cold towels, introduced to our personal butler/concierge, Diana who was amazing and helped arrange everything throughout our stay. The resort staff were universally friendly and attentive, and it truly felt like our vacation was simultaneously on rails and yet completely open ended. Beaches were clear, clean, and so incredibly soft. Whatever activity or meal was next was coordinated by our concierge and there were bikes (or an arranged golf cart) ready to take us there. It truly felt perfect. We loved the pool. We adored the spa. We couldn’t get over the endless feeling of the lagoonarium, a cordoned off interior where you can snorkel all day and nearly as much as out on the reef and other parts of the island. Every time we returned to our bungalow it was freshly cleaned with treats like local body oils or snacks left behind. The water was clear and beautiful underneath, and the bathrooms and bedroom were excellent and kept pristine by the tireless housekeeping staff (thank you Tehei!) Breakfast buffet was included and delicious, diverse, and consistent. Little details across the resort (The staff remembered our drink orders and our preference in eggs) made us feel totally pampered and welcomed. The lagoon restaurant was incredible: there are multiple menus to choose from and the view is amazing. We didn’t realize otherwise we would have booked multiple nights there—the other restaurants are good but nothing close to the high dining the chef at Lagoon is preparing. Still glowing from the high of this trip. If you can swing it: go!
Be the first to ReplyA wonderful stay, a dream come true!
A large complex, but not overwhelming - never felt crowded. St Regis has beautiful views, landscape, and the kindest, most helpful and friendly staff- ALL employees really stepped up to make it a special experience! Concierge is on site and the butler service is there to help in any way- gotta love the morning French Press coffee service! The beach is nicely set up and clean. It offers reclining chaises, cubes for two with pads, and a few hammocks. The main pool with swim up bar is nice. For us, the adult oasis pools were even better. We absolutely loved their well taken care of, and well stocked lagoonarium with the spa island in the center offering a nice snorkel break with hot tub, steam & sauna and amazing changing rooms with rest areas, snacks, and showers! There is a good variety for delicious dining. The bungalows are huge and are in the process of being updated. The deck furniture was replaced while we were there. Swimming off the villa/bungalow deck could be fun, but water was rough when we were there. There isn't coral or fish to be seen from the bungalow, so that was not a draw. We faced Mt Otemanu which was picturesque. The villas come with two bicycles which we used daily to get around, except when raining. There is an abundance of golf cart shuttles for door to door service wherever you want to go. When at the resort, there are water taxis and excursions, but otherwise, you are pretty much resort bound. That's why we very much appreciated the grounds and restaurants available to us. The staff learn who you are very quickly and make a personalized experience one to remember fondly❣️
Be the first to ReplyThis hotel is beautiful and the grounds are amazing but there are some small problems.
The view is stunning from every villa and has bikes to bike on. The spa experience is amazing but it’s hard to understand what the people are saying. There tiny mistakes that brought the ratings down. Like not getting our specific orders and the sunscreen was just thirty plus so we got very sunburnt. But the service is so nice and will redo anything that is troubling you.
Be the first to ReplyDream destination and more…
The St. Regis Bora bora is a dream destination I’ve been looking forward to visiting for a long time. This resort is one of the crown jewels of the Marriott Bonvoy luxury hotel portfolio, and it’s considered one of the best resorts out here in the Polynesia and a good use of Bonvoy points. I stayed here alone due to my wife’s sudden business trip, and overlapped with mine in February 2024, while my previous stay had taken place in late 2021. While checking in the desk was proactively set with a bottle of Champagne, which was thoughtfully arranged by hotel for my Ambassador membership. Furthermore, the resort themselves had left us a bottle of sparkling wine on ice as a welcome gift as well. There are five dining options at the St. Regis Maldives, each with its own unique offering. Across all of our stays, we were able to try a couple of the restaurants and enjoyed pretty much all of them. I was staying there for five nights, I ended up trying each place once. Meanwhile, if you were staying for longer, you might end up returning to the same restaurant a few times, but they each have enough variety on the menu to try out something new each time. My favorite one is Lagoon French fine dining restaurant. The best part of stay definitely was diversity of activities which provided by hotel’s partners. Snorkeling and hiking, ATV etc. You’ll never get disappointed, and i strongly recommend it to do! With so much coral and sea life to explore in the immediate surroundings of the beach, I’d be sure to set aside some time for snorkelling if you’re staying at the St. Regis Bora bora, as it made for a very enjoyable dimension to my stay. The team at St. Regis Bora bora does one job, and they do it very well. That job is knowing your current needs, anticipating your future needs, and being prepared to execute at a moment’s notice to give you a seamless experience. While I can certainly say that my butler, Mina, was the face of my service experience, you can tell that a deep sense of hospitality is ingrained in every staff member on the island. I also found the butlers to be quite adamant on making restaurant reservations on your behalf. I tried not to bother Mina unnecessarily, but when I needed assistance, she was always just a call away. Good job St regis Bora bora, everything is been just fantastic!
Be the first to ReplyUnforgettable experience at this resort, 1000% recommend.
Unreal experience and I’m so happy and grateful we chose to stay here for our honeymoon. It’s even better than the pictures. From the initial boat ride in from the airport, I was SO impressed with the welcome greeting and how beautiful it is. I could not believe we were in Bora Bora for the first few days. Even now as I write this review during our last few hours on the beach here, I can’t believe I’m here and how lucky I am to experience all of this in my lifetime. There are so many things to do at the resort, we wish we had 3-4 more days to really enjoy and experience all of the amenities!! I highly recommend the breakfast buffet and getting a dinner package if it’s an option - we had a 3 course dinner every night at each of the different restaurants and the food is amazing - it was nice to get a taste of French pastries while being in paradise!!! The service here is also unmatched - our butler Julien was THE BEST. He was off for the weekend so we missed him for a few days and the service from the other butlers stepping in for him was fine, but not as impressive as Julian’s hospitality and care. All of the staff is so friendly and accomodating. I didn’t feel well for a few nights due to too much sun and drinks 😅 but everyone was SO nice and accommodating. I was blown away by the service here and appreciate it so so much. Definitely recommend riding the bikes around and buying fish food to feed the fish. We spent our last day feeding the different fish in the lagoon and the beach by our bungalow for HOURS, we weren’t expecting to enjoy it as much as we did. If you get a chance to see Moana the mascot fish here, she’s freaking massive it’s crazy. We also really enjoyed riding the bikes, it started pouring and we still rode around lol. Also take the boat to the main island to do shopping if you have time, it’s nice to go to the local grocery store and experience more of the local life here. We’re already talking about hopefully coming back in the future. We also stopped at a few other resorts in the area to pick up other couples going on our ATV excursion and it sounds like the Four Seasons and St Regis are the most prestigious hotels here - the St Regis looks 10x more beautiful than the others in my opinion but I could be biased 😁 1000% recommend this resort. Not sure how we’ll ever be able to top this vacation!!!

The bed is the most comfortable in the world. My butler, Ameera, was the absolute best. She stayed on top of everything, and it seemed like she worked 24 hours a day. I was very impressed with her attentiveness. She made sure we had the best time out over the water villa deck, and we snorkeled every day, multiple times. Sam was the waiter in the Alba restaurant. Sam was great as well. All of his food and restaurant recommendations were amazing. After day three, we found ourselves drawn to Sam and insisted we went to the spots he was working at. The food left us speechless! Amazing experience!!!

La Orana! We are back to reality from our stay at the end of Feb and I am still floating on a cloud. Heaven on earth exists and it’s here at The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort . The attention to details here is amazing. Rooms had all toiletries, umbrellas/ponchos in case of rain, separate pool towels, snorkel equipment which could be picked up from the beach hut and kept for the entire length of stay, bicycles to ride around at your leisure, and golf cart pick up which was helpful when dressed up for dinner. Rooms are more spacious then pictures can convey and are beyond dreamy. We stayed in room 316, overwater bungalow and it was perfect. We were offered a room upgrade to a deluxe overwater which would be the same room but with a view of mount Otemanu, we declined as we preferred the calmer water on the beach side as boats pass by on the other. I read a lot of posts about people taking their own floats and rope, we took both but never needed to use the rope on our side (the floats were a great idea, ty). We took a small speaker as well and as long as I could hear that from the water I knew I was close enough to my villa. Lol All the staff were so kind, welcoming and happy no matter where we went but a few personal stand outs were our butlers Florina and Moana. They kindly made all our dining reservations and adjustments as requested with ease and without hesitation. The most memorable thing we did was renewing our vows there for our 20th Anniversary and I am so glad we did. From the start of planning to the day of and even AFTER everything was taken care of with kid gloves, every detail thought of thanks to MELANIE and THOMAS. One of many highlights were all the little surprises and handwritten notes delivered sporadically throughout our stay, from in our room with treats as well as all around the resort during dinners. The thing that blew me away and was most special was that they requested I email our vows to them which they printed out on beautiful stationary for us to read during the ceremony. Well unfortunately after, it got a bit bent and dirty and I thought to myself to ask if they could possibly reprint it for us to keep. Well before I could ask aloud, later that night after dinner when we returned to our room, our bed was decorated with flowers, a personalized surprise and two beautifully framed copies of our vows!! It left us so speechless and overwhelmed with emotions and gratitude for how much they cared to make our trip unforgettable. Thank you again Melanie and Thomas! Another huge shoutout needs to be to our videographer Sadry and photographer Caroline. They worked together in beautifully harmony to produce some stunning work! Thank you to you both, your work is what we had to bring back to our children at home to have them be apart of our special day. Final notes, if you are just thinking of going to Bora Bora, GO. If you are thinking of this resort, BOOK IT. If you are thinking of getting married or renewing, just say, I DO. The only regret you could have is not doing it at all. 🤍

From the moment we arrived until the minute we left the property, St. Regis Bora Bora provided exceptional quality and friendly service. They truly deserve my 5 star recommendation. Traveling with elderly parents and young child is a challenge already, but every moment we spend at the resort was transition seamlessly. They provide golf cart service to pick you up from your bungalow to wherever you need within the property at any given time, and you can also bike around at your leisure. Multiple restaurants with different cuisines to suit your need. You can explore the Lagoonarium with young child for tropical fish and coral within your fingertips, chill at their poolside and enjoy the beautiful weather and friendly service. You can also jump right into the water from your bungalow and enjoy the calm blue sea. It was truly one of the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. The most importantly they make you feel like a friend.
Be the first to ReplyHands down one of the best. Family review.
I've previously never looked into Bora Bora because I always thought it was a far trip from Southern California. However, once I realized it's only a couple of hours more than Hawaii, distance wise, we had set our course. I've got nothing but fantastic things to say about this resort. Getting there: We had to transfer through PPT airport and once you arrive, all the transportation is completed through boat. This must be arranged with the hotel. The other resorts have setups there as well. On the way there, simply beautiful for the first time. Arrival: Top tier service, they provide a fruit drink and check you in. You have a staff member dedicated to you. They will show you the grounds in a golf cart and take you to your room. The room: I just walked to the water, the rest could wait. Amazing color of the waters and something to note is that this is probably the best spot in all of Bora Bora. I did the jet ski around the entire island and maybe only one area was comparable, but there were not hotels in the area. The room is awesome and spacious. The pics will show you what they're about. I read the one with termite review, that's so unfortunate and can understand how upsetting it is, as the price of these rooms are what you expect. I love how there are bikes outside and you can just get on and cruise. The resort: Immaculate, as you would expect. Grass tennis courts! I've run the entire property and it's about 2 miles if run the entire resort. To the runners or explorers, DO NOT go off the resort, I was told that there are wild dogs and it is dangerous. The snorkeling grounds, wow, don't even need an excursion, it's a very large snorkeling area. There is this one long fish that is not scared of humans, lol, I stayed the heck away from that one. The spa amenities are fantastic, but you need to reserve, I wish you can access it anytime. After a run/workout, it'd be nice to hit the jacuzzi and sauna at ease. The gym is ok, it's what you need, but won't be a top tier setup. I'd advise for everyone to bring your bug spray, the mosquitos go hard and they itch, but it does go away after a couple of days. Sun block is a must, the gift shop ran out, but we had plenty. You will likely have to go to the small town to pick it up, should the gift shop be out. I had no desire to visit the town on the main part of the island. Service: Amazing and the personal attendant seriously let's you know what class of resort your at. I wish all St. Regis' had this. Food: The price is on the same level of what the resort is. However, the food quality is solid. The restaurants have a lot of reviews, the only item is to ensure that you reserve asap. There is always room service and the open restaurant if you need it. It's a small tiny island, getting anything there is expensive, the prices will reflect it. If you are looking to party, this resort is not for you. It's pure relaxation for you and your loved ones. We are going again and plan to visit many more times in the future.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful place for a special occasion
We recently visited the St. Regis to celebrate an anniversary . Overall, we thought the property was wonderful - whether it be for couples or families. Highly recommend for a special trip Pros: Staff - everyone was friendly and helpful. The butler service was excellent - ours helped make everything seamless. Resort - beautiful! Well maintained common areas, wonderful lagoon for snorkeling, great pools, including the oasis pool, and the highlight for us - bikes! We truly enjoyed biking everywhere. For those bringing the whole family, they have bikes for children as well. Room - it was an overwater bungalow, what many of us have put on the bucket list. It’s spacious, the decor is fitting for the location, staff keeps it super clean. Housekeeping was super attentive, noticing which products we used most and making sure to keep us stocked. Food - we didn’t expect much of the food based on our experience at FS a decade ago, but we were pleasantly surprised. We loved the breakfast, had great meals at Bamboo two nights, and enjoyed Jean Georges. Just go in expecting everything to be expensive, but it’s understandable given location. Weather - maybe we got lucky, but we didn’t know what to expect with the “rainy” season. Yes, there were showers most days, but they were quick to pass and provided some welcome relief from the sun. Reminded me of the afternoon showers on Maui that last 5-10 minutes and then the suns out again. Water temp was perfect. Cons: Like everywhere in the tropics, there were little biting bugs. Maybe bring a little insect repellent if you tend to get bit? Notes: They have sunscreen at the beach shack and spa if you need some (and aloe if you burn) Consider going to main island early in trip (you need to get a reservation with butler / concierge) for shopping (souvenirs / snacks / etc). The town is small, but there is enough to keep you occupied for several hours just walking around. The grocery store has giant baguettes. Netflix works
