Impeccable service from all departments!!

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @wanderwithcarter on 07/23/2024

We stayed here on part of our trip for my wife's birthday. I can't say enough about the staff. Very friendly and helpful. When we got to our room they had left a special surprise dessert for my wife. It was delicious! Patrick, one of the hotel concierges, who had great tips on where to eat. He also booked us an in-room couples massage once evening. Exactly what we needed after a long day of hiking. Thanks Patrick! You have to stop by the Urban Farmer bar and request James' special Old Fashion. Thanks James! One of the best I've had.

Beautiful Hotel & Amazing Staff

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @C C on 07/22/2024

We stayed here for our anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located. Prior to our stay I spoke with the Concierge, Cruz and Patrick. They provided wonderful options for our stay in Portland. Front desk staff member, Janessa was always accommodating. If you go to Urban Farmer, be sure to ask for McKenzie. She was always a joy.

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Renee E. on 07/19/2024

**I would like to point out that nobody from the hotel management staff has reached out... 5 star?!?! Laughable! The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the gym, but even there, the equipment often malfunctions. The hotel's style falls short of 5-star standards. The showers have inadequate water pressure, and the unsealed windows make it feel as though you're sleeping outdoors. Hallway noise echoes into the rooms, and the carpet and furniture are quite dingy. The food is merely mediocre. This hotel should not be labeled as luxury or considered 5 stars.

Wonderful staff full of great recommendations!

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Catherine H on 07/16/2024

I came in early for a work trip and love staying at the Nines. The hotel is always immaculately maintained, the Urban Farmer restaurant is delicious, and the rooms are very comfortable and roomy. This trip I had the whole afternoon ahead and upon checking in, asked Clint Kuper, the Guest Services Manager who was at the front desk about getting out for a hike. I had done a quick chat.gpt request to plan a day around Portland and had read about some hiking trails nearby. Based on that my plan was to go to Angels Rest Trail about 30 min away. What he told me next is proof that AI can never replace the Human element! He recommended that if I had the time, to go a bit further out to Silver Falls in Silverton and hike the Trail of 10 Falls. He was so spot on! I was further, about 1 hour out of Portland but it was so worth it and absolutely exceeded anything I had in mind. I will never forget it. I have so enjoyed every visit to The Nines in Portland. Like Clint, the team is friendly, full of wonderful recommendations for enjoying Portland and the surrounding areas and just lovely to be around. Clint thank you for being so wonderful!

Nine stars out of nine for the Nines

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Theo on 07/14/2024

From our six year old: โ€œWe liked the living room with all the couches so much. Mackenzie is so great and is the amazing-est helper ever. The ice cream was so good. She gave me her lucky pokeman charm. The hotel has very good hide-and-seek spots, and the bird stairs were super chirpy. There is a hidden library with the pool game.โ€

A Home Away From Home in Portland!

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Maddie on 07/10/2024

My experience traveling to the Nines for a recent work trip was a special one from the moment I walked in the hotel. The design is modern and spacious, and the room was impeccably clean. Every employee I encountered was warm and welcoming, and I really loved the lobby/atrium area, which had so many seating options that it never felt crowded, even during busy times. It was a perfect place to take a call, work solo, co-work, or have a casual meeting. Patrick, the Concierge Supervisor, took wonderful care of us and saw to all of our needs, and largely because of this 5-star service, I'd highly recommend the hotel to any other business or personal travelers. Some highlights in terms of amenities include: the Urban Farmer restaurant within the hotel, which can easily accommodate vegan substitutions and has a delicious mushroom risotto; the gym area, which had a whole wall full of free weights, several treadmills and multiple Peloton bikes; and their conference rooms, which are comfortable, well-equipped from a tech standpoint, and have amazing plant-based breakfast options. The Nines had everything we needed and more, and I will not be staying anywhere else next time I'm in Portland!

Perfect for a Thrilling Romantic Date

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Beaniceguy on 07/10/2024

I picked the Nines to re-connect with a really lovely romantic partner. I saw the chic interior decor online and imagined it would be the perfect venue. A few days prior to the meeting Cruz Malochwiej, from the Concierge desk, wrote me with a list of great available add-ons. Getting both flowers and a mini Birthday cake went well with the theme of my date, so I asked for those in an e-mail. She got back to me instantly to indicate my requests would be handled. When I arrived at the hotel, all staff were super friendly, the room was immaculate with decor as expected--wall colors like the signature Tiffany jewelry bags--so chic. It was so nice to have the cake and flowers already arranged. My super hot companion loved the room and she commented on the rich, indulgent colors, cleanliness and romantic vibe. The cake and flowers were also a hit and added a nice touch to an occasion with a lot of touching. While it's beyond the scope of this review to provide much more detail, the chic room and add-ons enhanced a very mutually gratifying evening. Thanks so much to all the staff at the Nines, and especially Cruz M. for being so thoughtful. I won't hesitate to stay here when I next need the perfect place to make a romantic memory.

The Nines - great for work and pleasure!

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @VakayMason on 07/10/2024

I was in Portland for a work trip and had the pleasure of staying at The Nines. From the moment I arrived the service and attention to detail was over the top. Check in was a breeze, and a colleague had worked with Patrick McNearney and the concierge team on some amazing welcoming touches as well as ensuring our comfort throughout the stay. During our stay (my wife joined me on the trip - we also tacked on a few days for our own enjoyment of Portland) all of our needs were met. The fitness center is better than some gyms I have paid to attend. The on-site dining at Urban Farmer had wonderful cocktails, wine, and locally sourced dishes. The meeting room we used was bright and comfortable; the tech functioned flawlessly; and again staff were there to check in on any and all of our needs. While I was sad to leave, I can guarantee I'll be staying at The Nines on my return to Portland.

Amazing property with a few annoyances

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @farcry80 on 07/10/2024

We just finished an Oregon road trip and stayed at the Nines in Portland. The property is in an amazing location, the staff is friendly and kind and the rooms appointed very well. We also got an upgrade as a Gold Elite, which was much appreciated. My biggest issue with the property stems from the destination amenity fee, which is $30 daily on top of the points I already used to pay for the stay. One of the things covered by this is a credit at the in house restaurant but with $30 omelets, that limit gets consumed with just one dish. Even that would be fine, but everything we got at the Urban farmer was almost inedible. It is not good, and being in a foodie city like Portland, makes this even more annoying. Overall I thought the Nines is a great hotel , with a few of the annoyances listed above.

The Perfect Stay in Portland

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Nancy R on 07/10/2024

Highly recommended!! My colleagues and I met at The Nines for our business retreat & strategy planning week, and I couldn't recommend this hotel more. Every need we had was met (usually taken care of before we even asked, thanks to the unbelieve customer service provided by Patrick McNearney and staff). The food was superb, and the spaces were beautiful: atrium for socializing and coworking, bedrooms, and meeting rooms. Definitely coming back! Thank you!

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Katerina E. on 06/22/2024

A few days prior, I have called the hotel and inquired them about parking. I was told that conference attendees are charged a discounted price of $28 for valet parking (which is the only type of parking available). When it was time for me to pick up my vehicle, I was charged $63.99 instead for 6hr of parking. Across the street, there was a public parking for $5/ day (it was "special"). I am disappointed with lies.

The Nine's Luxury Hotel is and was an amazing place and

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Brian S. on 06/22/2024

The Nine's Luxury Hotel is and was an amazing place and stay. Janessa made us feel welcome from our first phone call from California, to our arrival on June 19th. We experienced tire challenges along the way and called the hotel to ensure our arrival although it would later than expected. Janessa again, made us feel sooooo welcome and at ease knowing that our room was secured, clean, and ready for us when we arrive. Our arrival was very pleasant and the staff from the front bell service, to checking in with Michael was extremely pleasing and seamless. Michael was very attentive and prompt with helping us out. Janessa was still on shift when we arrived around 10:15pm. Janessa introduced herself and ensured that we had an amazing room facing the water and the bridges for us and the kiddos to see. The welcome basket with snacks and a kind note welcoming us and mentioning our interesting and challenging trip was very thoughtful and made it that more difficult to ever want to leave such a wonderful hotel with such staff and care as was displayed and given by Mrs. Janessa. The hotel food was amazing at the Urban Farmer and the speak easy style library was a hit for our girls. They were sure to break away and have their own time at the library and enjoy the books and pool table away from mom and dad. The Birdsong chandelier and stairs that lead down to the conference center was a major setting and theme for about 40 minutes of photo shooting with my wife and the girls. We had to ensure that we got just the right angle and photos with at least a few good shots from the +/- 800 photos that we must have taken. The Roof Top was great for photos and for dinner that evening as well. The patio was very nice and enjoyable and the view and selfie photo ops with the city background was exceptional. Thank you all again for making this such a great stay as this was our first time to Oregon and we were in town for a wedding. A huge thank you again to Mrs. Janessa for making this a wonderful visit to Portland and to the Nine's. Traveling patron's, make sure to ask for Janessa at the front counter, best host and hospitality ever. Thank you again, The Berkleys' 6/21/24

Looking for an elegant and luxury hotel in Portland - the Nines is the spot. Our room came with elegant decor, furniture, and even came with a chandelier. My 5 year old said wow haha (we were very fortunate and got upgraded to a suite). Restaurant at the top of the hotel (Departure) has a super cool vibe (sushi / Asian fusion / drinks). Great spot to hang out with friends / date night. It does get busy so I would suggest making reservations.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Nan C. on 04/08/2024

5 STARS!!! My husband attended a conference in Portland this February and I joined him. This is an outstanding Marriott hotel. It was similar to a boutique hotel - it has so many pluses. Everyone on staff was just "first class". Some of the names that I wanted to mention are Molly, Laura, Eric, Bradley, Anandi, and James. Everyone was warm and gracious. We just love the Urban Farmer steakhouse restaurant. The menu selections were just wonderful. Eggs Benedict were a real hit for breakfast! I loved the coffee, too.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Mark D on 03/05/2024

I have not been to the Nines since pre pandemic. I was looking forward to the club level with the cocktails, chef designed appetizers and the ridiculous deserts! But, it closed during the shutdown and has not reopened ( Please bring it back!) The front desk person, Anadi, saw how disappointed i was and had fresh backed cookies along with locally sourced chocolates sent to my room. What a nice surprise! This was Ritz Carlton (pre Marriott) service, Well done! I will be back. Plus the valets were all outstanding and helpful!

Excellence....

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @b g on 03/04/2024

I had a recent extended stay at The Nines in Portland. I want to give a shout to the following Valet and Bell staff: Matt, Jason, Scott, Paul, Mike, Nick, Tim, Matthew, Kris, Aman, Julia, and Arash. Yes, it is a long list but I interacted with each one on multiple occasions and each time I was welcomed back by name and with great warmth. Being greeted by this team at least twice a day often multiple times a day allowed me to have a connection to the hotel beyond the excellent front desk service and wonderful room. So often Valet and Bell service is reduced to a simple transaction, the service at The Nines is 10 steps above.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Location

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Justin N on 02/23/2024

I planned a surprise stay at The Nines with my girlfriend, and suffice it to say, the experience was worth the price! Their staff is incredibly friendly (as to be expected from a 5-star establishment), and the concierge assisted me in setting up some special arrangements upon check in. Shoutout Patrick. I must recommend dining at BOTH of the on-site restaurants, Departure and Urban Farmer. They both had exceptional options, and I can't imagine staying here and not getting food at either place. I also have to recommend utilizing your free tickets to the Portland Art Museum! It only comes with 2 tickets, so if you have a family, you may still need to purchase additional tickets, but the Museum was a great time! They are currently in the process of adding an entirely new building, which should be finished by the end of this year. The hotel is conveniently located, and I ended up walking everywhere that we went for the weekend! Depending on the weather, this may be a worse idea, but it is certainly within walking distance to many cool spots! Thanks again for the wonderful stay.

Service to the nines

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Seaside802031 on 02/19/2024

We had a fantastic time staying at The Nines. Leading up to our stay, the concierge Cruz Malochwiej reached out by email, providing some great information about the hotel and asking if I needed anything. I was able to arrange for birthday balloons, flowers and cake to be in the room. The check in process was smooth, and our room was one of our favorite weโ€™ve ever had in Portland, and weโ€™ve stayed in a lot of them. The hotel was able to take us to our dinner reservation in their courtesy car which was very nice. One thing to be aware of is that the mini fridge is full of beverages to purchase. We had stopped to get some charcuterie and had to search for empty space to store it in the fridge. This also led to us being charged for some items that we had not taken from the fridge. I would have to assume there is some sort of scale or something. I thought it was going to be a hassle to have the charges removed, but the front desk removed them with no questions asked. We would definitely stay at The Nines again, it was a great experience.

The Nines hotel is personally responsible for my car being

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Gary C. on 12/16/2023

The Nines hotel is personally responsible for my car being stolen. They gave my car to a woman I had met that same night. She had poisoned me stole my computer and the keys to my car. I cannot speculate as to how she convinced the valet staff to release my car to her. She said her name was "Bae Miles". She didnt provide ID and her name was not on the room. I also booked the room for 1 guest. I am a male in my 30s for context. I had to find out on my car had been stolen, let me elaborate. When I checked out they took my valet ticket and never brought my car out. 15, 30, 1 hour goes by and no car. No update from the staff. They then brought out her busted car which she had valeted herself. I did not have her ticket which is even more confusing. When I notified the valet staff of thier mistake they played dumb and immediately tried to place blame on me. They showed zero concern and chose to mock me, tease me and let each patron at the hotel know what had happened in a derogratory fashion. They were making fun of me in a moment of durress. Their security was equally unethical and lacked any sort of moral compass. Let me rephrase that, he didn't do anything to get my car back, showed zero initiative to the duties of his job as head of hotel security but said a few supprtive statements. Hey bud, I don't need your sympathy, I need you to get you immature culprits in check and call the police, lets start there. It was a situation in which I am the one dealing with an emergency while also being the adult in the room. I had to repeat myself over and over and over again asking for his assistance in retrieving my car. The car had been gone for over 24 hours at this point and they felt no motivation to let me know that. They even attempted to charge me for the additional days even though my car was no longer parked there, probably a clerical mistake but when in that type of experience small details like that become painful arrows of disresepect. Back to the head of security, all he wanted was a written statement from me on a form that could fit one paragraph. I was also so visibly distraught that my hands were shaking and he refused to write for me. There was one shining light who was a female member of the hotel management team. Thank you very much, you are an angel and you know who you are. That will never be forgotten. She at least had the decency to apologize and empathize. The rest were a bunch of bullies who will have thier day in civil and or criminal court. I would highly recommend that member of your staff call me as soon as possible so we can begin mediation. I seek monetary damages for the cost of my car, as it had been taken to a chop shop(I later retrieved it without any assistance from the hotel). I also seek monetary damages for the emotional abuse and mental torture your staff members administered that day. Shame on you. I am still dealing with PTSD from that day and was in fear for quite some time after. If it matters your room was small but designed with class and sophistication. Your hotel is ecclectic and the restuarants were all of high quality and the staff members outside of security and valet/bellhop were pleasant. I checked in to your hotel on 7/6/2022, my initials are G C and the last four of my card I used to book it are 7881. You have enough to find me. Make haste as I am interviewing legal counsel for the pending civil lawsuit.

Beautiful, elegant and very comfortable. Such a delightful stop during our short visit to Portland. Fell for the Tiffany blue color theme of the room. The lobby bar has fantastic vibe - beautiful music and gorgeous interior. Everything would've been perfect should have the restroom was cleaner. Didn't meet expectation given it's a luxury hotel. The staff overall was very accommodating and attentive. The valet team was excellent! They do charge a $30 resort fee each night, however you can use that towards food at the 2 restaurants on site. Our room was a little dusty and a unique odor in the room. Not quite sure we had a 5 star experience, but all in all it was a pleasant stay. Feedback would be to dust better in the rooms and spot treat the couches in the rooms.

Having visited Portland many times, this was my first stay

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Bob S. on 10/08/2023

Having visited Portland many times, this was my first stay at The Nines and it was exceptional. Although it has over 300 rooms, it really felt like a boutique hotel with amazing artwork throughout. When I arrived, there was no acknowledgement of my Titanium status. I had requested a room upgrade using Marriott Rewards points before my arrival, but that wasn't successful. However, I was told the property had upgraded me from a superior to a deluxe room (which are basically the same room but facing the street, rather than the courtyard). The hotel did provide a $40 breakfast credit daily and $30 daily amenity fee credit which were greatly appreciated. When you arrive at your room, you immediately sense luxury: the marble bathroom, dark woods, rich wall coverings, and a super comfy bed. I just wish our room was larger. The Departure Lounge on the 15th floor was hopping each night we were there. Great city views and awesome craft cocktails and light bites. We found the location to be ideal for exploring the city and enjoying the stellar Portland dining scene. It was also great to run along the river in the early morning. The Urban Farmer restaurant in the atrium is a great place for breakfast or any meal. We really enjoyed working with Molly who was a hostess and waitress there. We'd highly recommend the Eggs Benedict, Granola and the awesome Applewood Maple Bacon.

The weekend began on a positive note with my son's visit

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Elle C. on 09/25/2023

The weekend began on a positive note with my son's visit from California, who had reserved a two-night stay here to commemorate my approaching milestone birthday. However, it took a turn for the worse. Regarding our stay, some aspects were less than satisfactory. Room service lacked clarity, as there were no clear instructions for ordering. When we ordered two cocktails for room delivery, it took an excessive 45 minutes. Moreover, we received a call from the bar 30 minutes into the wait, informing us that our preferred tequila was unavailable and asking for a replacement choice. Additionally, the TV lacked streaming options such as Amazon or Netflix. The bed was super comfortable and the hotel is very well insulated making noise from outside barely noticeable. The introduction to the concierge team was lengthy and lacked a simple explanation of how to contact and request their services. However, the most frustrating experience was with the valet service. Despite having stayed at numerous upscale hotels, we had never experienced such a delay with valet service. Arriving after 11:00 PM, we pulled up to the curb and waited, unsure of the procedure. Another car arrived behind us and received immediate assistance, prompting us to finally disembark in the rain and retrieve our bags. My son addressed the valet team, but their response was far from satisfactory. Instead of offering an apology, they repeatedly offered to park our vehicle. When my son questioned why they prioritized the car that arrived after us, they had no explanation. The situation escalated, with another staff member joining, who was dressed in shorts and flip-flops. Rather than addressing our concerns privately, the staff ignored my son's requests for explanations. Eventually, they called the police and asked my son to leave the hotel, leaving me without transportation. We had separate rooms, and he was supposed to arrange my ride home the next day. With no knowledge of his whereabouts and the staff offering no assistance, I had no choice but to call my daughter, who lived nearby, for a ride home. I was even billed for that night's stay, despite being unable to remain due to their decision to escort my son off the property. It was a ludicrous situation. I was distressed, my thoughts in disarray, and not a single person inquired about my well-being. The reception desk merely checked me out and stated that charges would be applied in the morning. With my son living in Newport Beach, California, we have stayed in truly luxurious hotels--places like The Beverly Hills Hotel, The Peninsula--and at such establishments, every detail is attended to. The valet is at your service from the moment you arrive, exuding professionalism, and the hotel staff never ceases inquiring about your comfort and whether there's anything more they can do. Our stay here was a profound disappointment. I didn't even have the opportunity to say goodbye to my son and give him a hug! He flew out the next day. Also, ironically, the police officers were more courteous than the valet staff, having to admonish the attendant in flip-flops to "calm down" as he made inappropriate comments about his appearance in comparison to my son's- trying to show my son his muscles. In my opinion, if a hotel carries a five-star rating, it should unquestionably live up to that distinction. Regrettably, this one falls short.

Me and wife celebrated our 19th anniversary here and we

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Timothy D. on 09/18/2023

Me and wife celebrated our 19th anniversary here and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously thanks to the staff and the overall experience. Days before arriving they answered all my emails and address a concern I had. The valet, front desk check in was seamless and quick. The front desk clerk I believe her name was Grace went above and beyond to make our anniversary a success. Made me look even better. She gave us an upgrade to a marvelous suite and provided champagne and strawberries in our room. That was definitely a hit. . Anyway the room was spacious and clean. It was a bit of a walk from the elevator to our room but not a big deal but worth mentioning. Everything nearby to eat and shop was in walking distance but if you get the complimentary electric bike rental do that. It made getting around so much better. To recap the Nines is a must stay and my first choice when I'm in Portland.

I was completely underwhelmed with the front desk service

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Mayte C. on 08/21/2023

I was completely underwhelmed with the front desk service and concierge without attention to detail even when emailed for assistance with weeks in advance even with an ambassador status. It was so disappointing especially since we were so excited to stay here The brunch menu and food was delicious and our waitress was great. The roof top view was stunning but the restaurant was quite overpriced for the experience. The rooms were very clean unfortunately we stayed on the side by the courthouse and there was some protesters we could clearly hear.

This was a really cool hotel right in the heart of Portland.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Timothy D. on 08/13/2023

The safe was great, the hotel had a cool vibe, and they pride themselves on cleanliness-thank goodness for that. The gym actually has equipment that you can actually get a good workout in. Their restaurant and food was great also. My friend had a medical emergency there and their staff was Johnny on the spot. Great job to the management and team.

I travel for work often, and to Portland at least six times

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @A H. on 07/12/2023

I travel for work often, and to Portland at least six times per year. I am a very seasoned traveler and understand well hotel's policies and processes. I usually stay at the Nines when in Portland as it is very central. My business partner had gotten violently mugged outside the nines hotel so it was already a tough trip. On the day of my departure I had packed my bags but had my jewelry pouch and sunglass case on my hotel room's desk. I left with my bags but had not checked out as I thought I may want to return after my meeting. Once I was in the Uber I found out my meeting was going to be virtual so I decided to head to the airport. Realizing that I still had those items on the desk, I called the hotel to ask them to ship them to me and check me out of my room. This was 15 minutes or less after I had left the hotel. Wraith, who had helped me many times at the front desk before, said he would get the items and call me back. I received no call back. I called again once my flight landed and Wraith wasn't there. I then spoke to the security manager Toren. Toren said he would investigate and get back to me. What I found out later was that the housekeeping team that was working that day was not able to be 'contacted' as in they didn't show up for work after that. And Wraith no longer worked at the property the very next week. However, I was being given the run-around in that Toren wasn't calling me back for weeks and no answers were being given. Note that I had supplied within the first week a full itemized list of what had been taken, links for replacement value and receipts of my purchases. When I was staying in Portland again, I went in person and asked to speak to the Managing director of the hotel (Jennifer) who gave me the contact information for their insurance company along with a claim number. I have since followed up with the insurance company ongoing for months. I had one phone call from the adjuster after many messages and emails. Not only was he accusatory and unpleasant but he also said I needed to have listed all the items in my possession with the front desk at check-in to prove that they had been in the hotel. I did offer to share photographs of me wearing some of the items the day before. Can you imagine checking into a hotel and asking a front desk agent to note all items I am traveling with each time? Anyways, it is now July 11th after many many unanswered phone calls and emails I just received an email from the insurance company denying the claim. Seeing as they are a global insurance company who represents a Marriott hotel, they assume one consumer will not be able to take them on. Can a hotel's staff take items of value with no recourse? $9622 worth of items, some with significant sentimental value are gone. 10-15 minutes is all it took for them to enter my room and take my items. I have now spent five months trying to get the hotel and their management to make it right.

The check in was fast and efficient. Friendly staff at the front desk. The room was spacious and a had a great view to the restaurant atrium. The bathroom amenities were amazing. Ships and restaurants are within a walking distance. I recommend staying at this hotel next time you're visiting Portland. It's so close to everything transportation too.

Anandi was especially cool : ) The only thing that was like "Huh" was the bath tub! It filled up super slow lol. It took like 15 minutes to fill up, no joke! Everything else was 5 stars for sure : )

Anniversary Sanctuary in the heart of Portland

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @S S on 03/20/2023

We took a quick one night away from the kids to celebrate our Anniversary. Cruz Malochwiej and the Concierge team helped make it a stay to remember. I had prearranged with Cruz to have flowers and a couple of items delivered to the room as a surprise for my wife. They went out of their way to deliver, and the room on the northwest corner of the hotel had a beautiful view of Mount Hood. I thank Cruz and the team at the Nines for creating a beautiful space for us to celebrate. The location of the Nines is perfect for exploring the great shops and restaurants in downtown Portland. We could park our car with the valet and utilize public transportation. The Urban Farmer, located on the lobby level of the Nines, for brunch was excellent. Overall, the Nines is a gem in the middle of Portland. We highly recommend this as a place to stay.

The Nines- top notch concierge services!

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Natalie B on 03/14/2023

We loved our experience at The Nines in Portland. I want to specifically highlight the concierge services. Cruz was absolutely fantastic. My husband and I traveled to Portland for a long weekend without any plans (this was intentional as we were getting away without children and looking forward to relaxing!). Cruz helped us secure last minute reservations at Andina and we had the best ever Peruvian dining experience. She secured us incredible in-room massages for a completely relaxing experience. And her coffee shop recommendations were absolutely perfect. She knows her stuff and goes above and beyond to make things so easy for guests! I cannot say enough... she was incredible and so easy to work with! The cherry on top? The beautiful flowers she gifted us to enjoy during our stay. If you are heading to the city and not sure exactly how you'd like to spend your time, sit down with Cruz and she is sure to create a fabulous experience for you! Thank you for making our kid-free weekend very relaxing and memorable, Cruz!

All around great

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Ryan B on 03/13/2023

The place: location is perfect, the rooms are so clean, so comfy. Weโ€™re talking serious luxury here - this has been a place my wife and I choose to get away to for years now. Two amazing restaurants in the hotel, whether you choose to dine in your room or at the restaurants themselves - absolutely great. The staff: honestly, these guys go above and beyond every time. We havenโ€™t ended up without flowers and champagne as โ€œgiftsโ€ from the staff very often here. The communication with staff is over the top awesome too. Prepare to feel like a pampered local. Oh, and parking? Great valet staff. Safe. Easy. Fast.

Nice Hotel, Fantastic Service

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Devin D on 03/10/2023

I had a fantastic experience at The Nines. The hotel itself is a nice space and the restaurant and lounge area is truly lovely, particularly when you're a guest at the hotel and can just pop down. But honestly, it was the staff - and in particular the concierge, Cruz, that made our trip special. I reached out to the hotel prior to our arrival asking about scheduling some spa appointments and possibly dinner nearby. Cruz quickly responded and booked both. They also followed up a couple days before to tell me our room had been upgraded. When my wife and I arrived, we were greeted in our room by fresh flowers. All-in-all, the hotel is nice. It was the service that made our experience great.

The Nines - A Five Star Treatment!

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Steve Martinez on 03/09/2023

My stay at The Nines hotel was nothing short excellent. Sr Sales Manager Megan Pech was amazing to work with in getting a fair and competitive rate in booking 1 room for 4 nights, 13 single rooms, and 3 suites for 2 evenings, and Event Manager Leslie Napoles was incredible at coordinating our rooming list and arrival schedule. I travel for a living, at least 4 to 5 months out of the year, so believe me when I tell you that this team was among the best Iโ€™ve ever experienced. Leslie welcomed me and the staff treated us like true VIPs, making our stay wonderful. The rooms are wonderful as well. They provide you with all the amenities a guest would hope for or need. The restaurant and in-room dining was equally as delicious. Iโ€™d like to also say the valets Arash, Musawer, Tim, and Ayaka were on their game. My car was ready quickly, they greeted me with great attitudes, and made the experience first class, which is not common, even in some five star hotels. Since I interacted with them a lot through my four night stay, their service made my trip easy and enjoyable. I canโ€™t wait to come back and stay at The Nines!! Thank you to the staff for making our trip (for me and the band) such a great one!

We received a warm welcome from Johnathan at the front desk when we checked in and weโ€™re surprised with a bottle of champagne as a birthday gift. The Nines was in a convenient location to the Keller and great restaurants. Thanks Johnathan for the great tips and helping make my husbands birthday getaway special. We will be back!

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to The Nines Portland at 6 PM the same day.

He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the The Nines Portland page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* PerceptiveWash44, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* PerceptiveWash44 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to PerceptiveWash44 for any questions Peter may have as PerceptiveWash44 user fills the bid.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* PerceptiveWash44 now uses their connections at The Nines Portland to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If PerceptiveWash44 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, PerceptiveWash44 receives the $200 reward which is credited to PerceptiveWash44's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at The Nines Portland!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
