Not a very good experience
The staff members are arrogant. I felt we were “doing a favor” to stay there. As a SoHo House member it was a very different experience I had in other SoHo House places. The room was ok. I was traveling with my two teenager kids. It was prohibited for them to enter the Little Ned bar area. No problem with that, but when I asked to see the place by myself I saw an around 9 years old kid there with his parents. I asked why the kid was there and the host rudely said it was “an exception”. I asked what was the exception and she didn’t know the answer for that. The dinner and breakfast at Cecconi’s was very good, though, as the hotel’s location.
Be the first to ReplyUnexpectedly bad experience
We were staying there in Feb 2024 for 4 days. I'm a classically trained pianist, I need to practice for the exams and concerts I’m accompanying. I chose the hotel because they a have piano on their site. I travel a lot and normally I don’t have any problems practicing the hotels pianos during quiet hours for an hour or so. In this hotel they didn’t let me touch their piano without giving any valid explanation: “We will not be able to grant access to use the piano in our Magic room”. “The event team have informed me that you cannot use the piano in the Magic room” The piano room in the hotel most of the time was empty. I checked the room several times after going to the gym at 10 am and later in afternoon at 3ish pm. There were no one there… I am still in correspondence with an assistant manager, it was such a bad experience. He ignores my emails because we checked out. This hotel is top class for rejecting their guest’s needs. They simply don't care about you.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing hotel, true 5 star experience
I spend at least 2 months of the year in hotel rooms for business and pleasure, and the Ned Nomad is by far the best hotel experience I have had domestically in a long time. The staff was kind, caring, and thoughtful. The food was great, drinks were great, and everything was 5 star treatment. It is in the heart of NYC so you have to expect some level of noise during the day, but otherwise the stay was spectacular

Unique experience in the heart of NYC. Close to great restaurants and things to do. Terrific service, unique rooms and very comfortable. Clawfoot bathtub in the room! Very comfortable bed. Modern and cozy aesthetic. Will stay here again!
Be the first to ReplyLovely hotel in great location
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ned. Loved the elegant, spacious design of the room and comfortable beds. We asked for tea making facilities which were immediately provided and appreciated the tea pot and pretty cups. The position is great - within walking distance to many restaurants. The food in the hotel restaurant was very good too. The only small niggle were no drawers to put anything - not everything can be hung! The water pressure in the showers could do with improving but all in all a very nice stay.
Be the first to ReplyGreat hotel and prime location!
This review is for The Ned Hotel and adjoining spaces (including The Ned club access and the lobby restaurant Cicconi's). First the hotel.... I had stayed here numerous times when it was called The NoMad Hotel. It was shuttered for most of the pandemic and then last year reopened as The Ned NoMad Hotel under new management and in partnership with Soho House. Although I was always assigned a gorgeous and roomy suite in the past, this time I received a more traditional NYC style room that must have been around 500 SF - although it was laid out with a much more spacious feel. Oddly both the shower and toilet were situated in their own rooms set behind an Asian style screen that took up approx 1/3 of the room. Although at first it was quite odd to see and experience, it actually worked out to be quite comfortable and cozy. I can't imagine two people in this room style however it's perfect for one person. The room featured two very large windows overlooking Broadway and a typical sized closet and space tucked away to fit the minibar, safe and additional storage. A cozy armchair and decent size working desk complimented the room along with a super comfortable king sized bed. I found the room/hotel experience to be ideal and one that I'd quickly return to again in the future. The only issue was the sound leakage from the hallway as most sounds swept through to my room. The hotel product itself seemed to be the smallest part of the business here with more emphasis on The Ned club (formerly the hotel restaurant, library bar and hotel bar). Thankfully hotel guests get full access to these spaces - if that ever goes away, I would not stay at this hotel as it would seem too small otherwise. Staff were accommodating, helpful and informative. The Ned bars were wonderful as ever although redesigned since the new ownership took over. Plenty of space and what appeared to be very welcoming cozy spaces and menus.
Be the first to ReplyThe Ned… disappointing and lacking atmosphere
Good location and lovely rooms but the staff were TERRIBLE. Inattentive, rude, impolite and down right dismissive. We were there for Christmas and aside from a couple of decorations there was zero atmosphere or Christmas cheer. No Christmas dinner packages, no special events, a basic lobby and nowhere nice to hang out. As a soho member for 6 plus years, I expect way more and this one was like no other house. Reception staff were beyond bad. Left very disappointed and questioning of the whole group. Shame on you for allowing this to let the group down!
Be the first to ReplyImpaired lobby
Great location, rooms also great with classic style. Two drawbacks: staff has attitude, should be more friendly, especially at reception desk. Also the lobby area is not always open and no access below 21, this really should be changed! Room cleaning was sloppy.
Be the first to ReplyBest Upgrade Ever
LOVED the NED. Great location. Close to all subways. Part of the street is walkable. Had 3 of us in one room, upgraded to 908 and 909 which gave me modern day Eloise at the plaza vibes. Local restaurants were all I hope for in NYC. Service was great and helpful. Hotel restaurant was Cecconis. Food was great, nice space. Nice to just go downstairs for a great meal. Room service was tasty and healthy. Checking out today, but already want to go back!
Be the first to ReplyThe Ned and Flatiron-what a combo!
My first stay at the Ned Nomad, and in the Flatiron District. Both were simply wonderful. The Ned is a gem- beautiful & cozy, while also fun, hip and vibrant. I can’t wait to return! Great neighborhood too. Lots of activity with the ability to venture forth in any direction.
Be the first to ReplyMy new favorite hotel in new york
I never leave reviews, but this hotel was worth it. I loved the Ned! I've stayed all over New York, from the UES to Midtown, Soho, and FiDi. I am a member at SoHo House and when I saw that there was a "friends & family" rate if you want to call it that, I took the chance and booked my stay at The Ned. I would stay there time and time again. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly, nobody had attitude, and everyone made me feel welcome. I stayed in a "cosy" sized room and it was perfect. The only thing the room lacked were drawers for putting away clothes. But I loved it. The decor & art were chic, at night when I turned in for bed it was quiet (really important), and so comfortable. I cannot wait to come back and stay so I can explore the rest of the hotel.
Be the first to ReplySplit Personality Hospitality....Hotel and Members Club,
The Ned Nomad treads the line between a hotel and a members club. It's character is drawn from it's limestone fronted Beaux-Arts landmark style in the form of the Johnson Building located at the corner of Broadway and 28th street. The Nomad is a stones throw from the Empire State Building, Herald Square, the Flatiron Building as well as the 'shop until you drop' 5th Avenue retail outposts. I enjoyed my spacious studio with King bed, slumber endowed. Custom designed furnishings, artwork and a functional desk added a modern flair to the room while a separate seating area injected a homey ambiance to the surroundings. The bathroom had a fabulous clawfoot tub and a walk-in rain forest shower, Cecconi's is the Ned's classic Italian restaurant and delivers on a fine dining experience, elegant ambiance and extra ordinary dishes. Wood fired pizza are awesome as are my favorites: green pea soup, veal milanese and the tiramiso to satisfy my sweet tooth. The Little Ned, a 1920's styled bar, serves up creative cocktail concoctions. Cecconis's is open to non-members as is the lower level of Little Ned's and the fitness center. Club Membership provides access to member spaces including the Dining Room, Rooftop Terrace, Ned's Club, the Library, Magic Room and the mezzanine at Little Ned's. Hotel guests benefit from the caliber of service usually reserved for club members. So, if you desire a stay at a luxury New York City Hotel right in the heart of Manhattan,.................then try the .....Ned Nomad............Split Personality Hospitality...............Hotel and Memebers Club.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional experience
I traveled a bunch, and I stayed in hundreds of hotels (including in New York), and only a few I can name as 'home away from home'. The Ned Nomad is one of them now. It was a special trip with my fiance and her first time in NYC, where every hotel employee treated us as a family. Can’t express how thankful I’m to the concierge team, and especially to Mark, who made our stay so special by suggesting and booking places where we were welcomed. It's amazing that the hotel hire such a young and cool people who knows the city and can offer best expirience. Beyond grateful and can’t wait to be back. Andrea O.
Be the first to ReplyFive Star Stays STILL EXIST!
In a world short on service, THE NED NoMAD showed no sign of conforming! From the moment we valeted, the service was five star. They raised the bar in Manhattan of late. Every employee encountered was professional, friendly, and engaging. The food and drink experience was over the top, only second to the service. The decor is superior and reminiscent of authentic old world glamour. A stay is not to be missed
Be the first to ReplyExtraordinary NY style stay!
Definitely my favorite place to stay in NY. I felt very welcome and everyone was so welcoming. The check in process was very professional and smooth. Beautiful room, well appointed and with a great view. I had the opportunity to eat at Cecconi's and the food was incredibly delicious. Caroline, Melissa, Marquis and everyone were great hosts everytime we ran to each other. They always use my name and that makes me feel super welcome. I will be back soon for another NY style experience. Thank you very much The Ned NoMad!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful hotel, excellent restaurant with great food & wine.
We enjoyed a delightful evening at Cecconi’s at The Ned NoMad where the staff was helpful, friendly and professional. The food was exceptionally good as was the wine from a very varied wine list in terms of varietals and geography. The restaurant is beautifully furnished in a contemporary fashion, was well patronised & the atmosphere on the evening we visited was most appealing. Worth a visit.
Be the first to ReplySuper comfortable home from home
Super comfort, home from home feel and great staff. Stayed in a large room - very comfortable bed, really appreciated the selection of full size Cowshed products and lighting and decor is great. Room service was quick and access to the Little Ned area on the ground floor and rooftop was appreciated especially post check in and in the early morning jet lagged hours. Standout: THE STAFF, while it is clear that a few things are settling down after the June 22 opening of the hotel, they were all helpful and knowledgeable on transport options to arts venues (we went to Lincoln center, Broadway and BAM in Brooklyn) , personal safety and a crash course in US rules of the road. Tip: while the in house restaurant is super for breakfast, consider booking room-only so you can try some of the other excellent options just across the street for breakfast. Only downsides: this part of town is still recovering from the impact of the pandemic so footfall in the evening is still low and there are a lot of buildings being renovated so a lot of scaffolding meaning some dark areas at street level. Nothing major, just some odd characters and if you are returning via subway late consider using the N, R, N, Q lines to 28th St and Broadway or 34th Herald Square as it’s quite a dark and deserted walk from the 1, 2 at 28th The room design maximises space but that means not much space to stash suitcases/shopping
Be the first to ReplyGreat stay at The Ned Nomad in New York City
Our room was gorgeous, large and comfy. Check-in was smooth and quick. We also had drinks and dinner at their restaurant, Cecconi’s, which was amazing. We had wonderful food and top notch service. We loved the central location and the many options for drinks and dinner. We will definitely return next time we’re in New York.

I will start with the pillows. My boyfriend and I both have terrible neck pain. The pillows are full cotton fill, no feathers, they’re HORRIBLE! The shower water pressure is non existent, you can barely get the conditioner out of your hair. The room layout is awful. You have to open the shades to see anything because the lighting isn’t good but make sure you’re covered up because there is construction workers on scaffolding outside the window. You need to be a member to get into the club unless you are a hotel guest. Well, I actually had to upgrade my room in order to be able to use it. My girlfriend came to have a drink with us and they refused to let her in with us. We were only allowed the two of us. I asked if they could make an exception and it was a hard no. She’s a beautiful tall model and the place was dead. When you stay at the Ritz, the Mark, Mercer, Crosby, Carlye they have a way of making each guest feel special. This is not what you feel at the Ned. You feel almost belittled. Every time you walk into the club you’re questioned as if you’re somebody off the street. We have been here for 3 days, we’re staying at the hotel, you would think someone would remember us. The doormen are wonderful. Love them all. Ashley, the food and beverage manager is wonderful. She gets it. She understands what it means to make each guest feel individually important. She came from the Mark hotel and that is how I feel when I stay there by the entire staff. If this hotel wants to be a contender they need to make some serious changes. This is NYC, the new Ritz is right around the corner and it’s incredible. I’ve stayed in over 50 hotels in NYC and never wrote a review, I felt I needed to this time.
Be the first to ReplyDO NOT RECOMMEND
If you want to be treated like a total peasant, spoken to in an incredibly flippant, arrogant, and condescending way by staff who wear ripped clothing (Samantha) then you should stay here! If you want to pay for premium amenities but not be able to use them then you should stay here!
