Service was okay. But the people watching OMG!!!
Be the first to ReplyLiterally the only good meal I had in Frankfurt.
Really good flavors and the vibe of the restaurant is very cool
Be the first to ReplyFun place that goes beyond Indian food.
They call it colonial cuisine - so it has a twist. We had 5 for a business dinner and shared all the appetizers and main dishes. Lamb chop appetizer is a must! Our waiter ZiZi was fantastic and really added to the experience. One of our crew said they didn't like Indian food but loved the meal. Palak Paneer,Lamb Shank Rogan Josh, jumbo grilled prawns, and top it off with some mango sorbet. Great spot for a business dinner. A little pricey but great atmosphere. A memorable evening for all. Tell them to take you to them place with the tusks outside'

If you are looking for a classy dinner, this is the ideal place. Walls and ceilings are black, lights are soft, it's elegant, old style, grand restaurant American/colonial atmosphere. Prices are a little high but not over the top. Service is high class : smiles and eye contact all the way from entrance to exit. Valet parking is an extra treat. Cocktails, food, wines, everything is quite good. Our steak has gone cold quickly but it was ordered rare too. The palak (spinach) were fantastic, the scallops and 9-spices salmon too. The head sommelier André is very good. Very direct, large bearded guy, just my kind of sommelier !

Upscale colonial Indian cuisine in the hart of Frankfurt's business district. The food is good but a bit greasy (I usually take a fish curry). The portions are very large, but the appetizers are so good that it's still worth to get some to share. The restaurant is beautifully decorated reminiscent of a colonial 19th century home. Service is impeccable as is the standard for restaurants that belong to this group. It is popular for business meetings thanks to its location and setting.

Perhaps the fact that I dined here as part of a celebratory dinner with a small group of executives and was treated to an extraordinarily delicious wine-paired tasting menu might influence my view, but the service, food and ambiance were all excellent. Indian-themed dishes, in a beautifully decorated space, made us feel as if we were in an elegant private club on the subcontinent. A bit crowded and with a high but not unbearable noise level, this is a perfect venue for a night out or a business dinner. The bar can get packed, and the restrooms are a far walk both up and down stairs, but overall a marvelous experience.

I had dinner here last night, and while it was a fine meal, it certainly did not live up to the hype. The beef vindaloo, billed as the signature dish and so spicy it separates men from boys, was decent but certainly nothing special. Let's put it this way: it would not shock me to find out that a family restaurant in Edina, Minnesota, or Rochester, New York, makes beef vindaloo just as good and far spicier. It should be noted that the patio was nice on a summer evening and the staff was very polite and efficient.

Good place, food is amazing, however the service can be very spotty and below average at best. If you want wine by the glass, good luck, that have 2, red or white....A nice place that could be phenomenal with the right changes, but a good place none the less, but be willing to deal with really crap service...
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Indian style food in a cosy atmosphere.
For starters we had succulent lamb chops with mint sauce which were tender and tasty. For our main course we ordered the blackened rib-eye with coriander flavoured mashed potatoes which was tender, delicious and cooked to order (medium rare). There are also many other Indian selections on the menu to choose from as well as a matching wine list offering a large selection of quality wines. This restaurant is highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy a great meal with a good glass of wine.

okay, I have to agree with those who wrote that this is a weird concept: Indian stake house. However, it works. We went for India food vs. steak though and we ordered beef vindaloo, tandoori prawns. Both were really yummy and felt authentic flavors. probably the best we have had in a while, for sure while in Frankfurt. Had 1/2 of a bottle of wine (Spanish) and it was also really tasty. I have been trying to find a wine like that at the local stores but no luck. BUT, I have to agree that this is expensive, specially when the average indian food is always pretty good and much, much more affordable. I would go back for a nice dinner, but will be hard to convince my husband for the price tag.
