Great food, disappointing view from the booth in the back.
The food was excellent. We stopped in with a party of 8, which is a big group for no reservation. They sqeezed us into a booth in the back. We didn't quite understand why because it was almost empty inside. At first we assumed the rest of the dining area was reserved but we finished our meal and walked back past many still empty tables. We would have perferred a view of the river at the Riverview Grill.
Awful, terrible, disgusting and we used to be regulars. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SERVICE?
After many years of going to the grill and enjoying it immensely I scheduled a family reunion with eight of us for dinner. I flew in my family from all over the United States some of them flying over 3,000 miles. I arranged for a specific round table in the inside air conditioned area. I stressed time and time again to whomever took the reservation how special this was having not seen my family in 15 years. We were finally seated. After 40 minutes no one had even come to our table yet with a menu. Apparently there was some kind of a business party upstairs that rendered us not worthy of a server. I finally got up went out front was ignored for a few minutes by the two girls behind the desk before I finally said " would it be okay if we had some menus.?" They seem surprised. Another 5-10 minutes and we finally had menus. The food which I had raved about to them came but the fish we could smell from 15 ft from the table. It was awful! Not wanting to ruin the festivity we did not complain we just kind of ignored it. The mixed vegetables were literally not worthy of being eaten. Several of my family members had your chicken which was tasty but the beans served or somewhat cold and tough and quite frankly terrible. None of us enjoyed our meals. So we decided since this was such a special occasion to order some dessert. Once again I had to go up and search for our waiter. When he came back he just brought us our final bill. Didn't even offer dessert so we asked him for it. He seemed somewhat put out obviously in a hurry to go home or something. We were amazed. We ordered some dessert and we ordered coffee. All of us would have loved to have been offered a refill on our coffee but apparently that is not the procedure at the grill anymore. I've waited this long to write this review because there was no hurry because we are simply never coming back.
Disappointed
We are Florida locals. Beautiful view, but food was mediocre at best. Husband's birthday dinner celebration was a disaster. DO NOT ORDER THE FILET MIGNON. Not even sure it was meat. Service was unprofessional and rushed. Dirty ashtrays sitting on tables. Reached out to the GM upon return from our getaway vacation. No response in 5 days. Been there before. Won't go back.
Terrible meal
First meal I have had at this restaurant in years, The meal was terrible. The fish was on special. It was dry with no flavor. Will not be back.
Rebuttal
I was there with my wife waiting to see the manager, Robert Latzo, while he was trying very professionally to appease Travel Gal’s party. My first impression was that the man was trying to get a free meal. And from their review I’m quite sure I was right given that the review’s composition was so amateur.
Valet for McDonald’s service
Very disappointing meal for Mothers Day! I ended up not even getting my meal because they messed up our order. When they finally brung my meal (salad) they still had dressing wrong and my family was done eating. So much for Mother’s Day meal for me. The mahi mahi was undercooked and the green beans was pitiful. The steak was only decent thing at the table and it was very small for $45. They Virginia Ham was literally deli meat slapped on a plate. Horrible service, not even mediocre food, high prices. Too many choices to eat here don’t waste your time.
Nice place but has a few drawbacks.
The setting, being right on the water, is very nice, and the food was of good quality and tasteful, the service was also very good. The music was loud and had to ask the server if they could get it turned down as we could not carry on a conversation as we could not hear each other. Although on the pricy side it was a bit insulting for them to add a 2.25% non-cash transaction fee to the bill. We were a party of six and the bill was over $200. I don’t know about you but most people do not carry that kind of cash around and usually pay by credit card. For this reason I gave it 3 stars otherwise I would have given it four. Parking is very limited but they do offer valet parking.
Drinks on the water
We sat outside in a beautiful Saturday and had a drink at the back bar. The setting was great and the scenery awesome. Our bartender had great recommendations and they had my fav N/A beer.
Great brunch with friends!
Went to celebrate a birthday and we truly enjoyed our brunch. Many ordered the Bloody Mary bar and oh my! They got shrimps, pepperoni, stuffed olives, bacon and more! The menu had a lot of great options to choose from. Our server Erika was super attentive and did a great job at servicing our party of 10. The manager came by with a slice of cheesecake for the birthday lady and sure made her feel special! Can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu

The only reason this place is still in business is because it has amazing views and the building is historic and beautiful inside. This used to be our favorite, go to, all the time. After a few very mediocre lunch and dinner visits, we just stopped going. A year later we said well they must have got their stuff together by now, so let's try again. It was not busy although it was a Sunday afternoon. We ordered a favorite we always "used" to love and then I ordered something new, Beef on a Weck. The fish & chips, awful. Both tiny pieces of fish were dry and over breaded and over cooked. Most was just breading with a few bits of fish inside. Fries were good, that was it on that end. Plus small, small portions and price much higher. The Beef on a Weck was a joke. 75% was fat. I picked out the fat and left it on the plate. Had approximately 2-3 small bites of "meat". So small of a bun too. The horseradish (creamy) was the only good part of my meal. Yes, we did speak to the manager. He could care less. He said he is aware of the many food quality issues and is hoping to buy the place from the very old gentlemen who currently owns it. He would not comp our meal or do anything else except do a do over next time. Of course with 4+ bad experiences in the last few years, we will never return and will never bring our out of town guests here again.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
