Our go to hotel
Just back from I think our 6th stay at this wonderful little boutique hotel in Bexhill. Rooms are still at the very high standard they was on our first stay back in 2019 and still come with everything you need. Dressing gowns, complimentary slippers, hairdryer, safe, kettle, coffee machine, tea and coffee, fresh milk in the fridge, along with cold water and complimentary bottle of beer. Also biscuits daily and toiletries in the bathroom. Showers are amazing and plenty of hot water. Ideally situated for a drive into Hastings, Rye or Eastbourne. Some lovely little crafty shops and regular town shops, lot’s of restaurants near by for your evening meals. Breakfast in the hotel is amazing and several options so should be something to suit everyone. The owners, Greg and Lihong are so friendly and hardworking and run the whole thing by themselves. Looking forward to yet another trip back in September

Lovely place to stay. Convenient for the train station and beach, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was well stocked with drinks and a couple of snacks (including ice cold water and beer) which was very welcome after a long , hot nightmare journey! The room was decorated beautifully and also spotless. The shower was amazing and the bed very comfortable, I slept like a baby. The room was well equipped with an iron, ironing board, fan, toiletries etc. Would recommend a stay here!

My wife and I stayed at The Driftwood in Bexhill from 3rd to 6th March 2023. We were booked into Room 3. We were not disappointed whatsoever. It faced the road but it was very quiet. The room itself was very nice. The room was very clean and the facilities in the room could nor have been better. Even bottles of beer in the fridge were a nice touch. It had a lovely walk in shower and a very comfortable bed with great pillows. Lee Hong and her husband Gary were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast area was very nice and the options for breakfast was very good. Lee Hong cooked a very nice breakfast, which set us up for the day. The Driftwood is very near to the beach with lovely walks along the front. The DeLa War Pavilion is close at hand for coffee, lunch or entertainment. My wife and I would stay at The Driftwood if we were in the area again.

Excellent service- a warm welcome, and very clean and comfortable room. The bed linens were exceptionally crisp and fresh and felt so luxurious. The bed was a little bit too firm for me. The shower was wonderful. Breakfast was served in the restaurant and there were good options for Vegan and Vegetarian duets.

Stayed here 1 night while attending a concert at the pavilion, which is just at the end of the road, so very convenient. We stayed in room 6 on the second floor, a lovely big warm room, with windows overlooking the street, but it wasn't noisy at all. It has a very nice bathroom with a big walk in shower, everything you need in the room is included even down to some bottles of beer in the fridge, a very nice touch. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Will definitely stay again in the future.

We could not fault our night here. The room was spotless and had everything we needed in it. The bed was very comfortable too. Breakfast was tasty, a wide selection of items were on offer, cooked to perfection. My husband also enjoyed talking trains to the owner!

Stayed here with a group of friends. The rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean, lots of nice little touches and you could tell a lot of thought, effort and money has gone into the refurbishing of this building, all done to a very high standard. The location was spot on for us, near the railway station, seafront and major venues. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu was very good and the shower in Room 1 is the best shower I've ever had! If you need somewhere to stay in Bexhill, this is the one to go for.

What a wonderful little place - so clean - so tidy - so well designed and comfortable - breakfast menu to suit everyone. Run by the must charming and welcoming couple. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back to stay again. An absolute gem of a place.

When the receptionist answered the phone "with an aggressive "hello" rather than the. name of the hotel I should have realised this wasn't going to go well This is the most AWKWARD hotel I've ever come across. My wife woke up Boxing day morning with a streaming cold and we tried to cancel the booking for the 28th Dec and the hotel refused saying it was less than 3 days. We hadnt taken a discounted rate that couldn't be amended They refused to issue a credit note. Everything about dealing with this hotel has been unpleasant.

We returned after 6 years and found it as immaculate and spotless as it was then. Greg and his wife are welcoming Lovely breakfasts and really comfortable rooms, water, fresh milk and lagers in the mini fridge. Various teas, inc decafe. Parking restrictions are now in place in Bexhill and they give you a permit for parking Such a nice break and so convenient for the DelaWarr pavilion

I stay here when on business in the area. The Driftwood is THE go to venue for the very best of quality and comfort. If only every business was run like this. Everything is perfect and the best quality. Wonderful friendly professional welcome. Bedrooms are impeccable Breakfast doesn’t compare with anything else. Only the best produce and presentation.

What an amazing find and one which we will definitely be using again. We took over this fabulous boutique hotel as a base for some English wine tasting and we were not disappointed. Great interior design, quality furniture and fixtures, very comfortable beds, lovely breakfast and owners were great hosts. Situated in the centre of town so everything was in walking distance.

Wonderful small boutique hotel close to the seafront and the De La Warr Pavillion. The owners and their family were super friendly, the bedrooms were immaculate, in fact the whole place was immaculate. Little added extras included cold fresh milk and beers in the fridge, beautiful fresh flowers, robes, slippers and a fan in the room. Bed was amazingly comfortable too. Nearly forgot …. Breakfast was wonderful and tasty. Would definitely recommend.

The owners/staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything in the room was of a high standard, well designed and tasteful. The breakfast menu included both vegetarian and vegan options, not many British hotels offer that! The Driftwood is located a short walk from the seafront and the De La Warr pavilion. Very convenient. Several restaurants, cafes and bars close by. This was an excellent choice for our stay in Bexhill.

Having visited several hotels in the area we like this the best. Immaculate decor, service and friendliness. Our two night stay was perfect and we have already rebooked for August. In the heart of Bexhill and just 200 yards from the seafront - ideal.
Be the first to ReplyGreat standard, great rooms and a lovely breakfast
This place has the perfect balance of high quality without being clinical. The owners are friendly and welcoming and put on a fantastic breakfast. Comfy beds, great shower and all the usual in room facilities you would expect in a high end hotel...tea and coffee, fridge, bath robes, iron, safe etc. Very close to the waterfront and street parking outside the hotel. Highly recommended

Just returned from staying at this beautiful B&B. Room 3, at the front is lovely and bright and cosy at night. Furnished to a very high standard with little personal touches are like a home from home. My husband has never slept so well in the huge comfy bed and the well appointed bathroom was gleaming. Then came breakfast, full English was excellent, however you really must try the cinnamon toast, just heaven. The hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, really lovely people who obviously love this property and it shows. We are definitely going back, just got to find an excuse to visit Bexhill and we are off. Thank you for the most perfect stay ❤️
