The Court of Two Sisters New Orleans Reviews from The Last Year
this was the most disgusting place I've ever ate.
we had lettuce floating in our creamer and every plate and piece of silverware was nasty
Worth skipping. Not missing much
Where to start - the only reason I am giving this place two stars is due to the location and the beautiful building and courtyard. Oh, and the jazz musicians were lovely to listen to. I will admit, I did not do my own research before visiting, so the price came as a surprise as did the fact that they were serving only lunch items from 1130 am onwards. This information is clearly listed on their website for their Jazz Brunch. Had I known this information. I would not have visited. I am the type of person to try to find the silver lining in every situation which is why I started this review with commenting on beautiful location. Even if I had known the pricing and the food serving time and decided to try it anyways, I would have been almost as disappointed. The food was cold, I had to wait over five minutes for staff to join me at the carving station for the roast beef, the buffet lacked variety severely. The oreo cake at the dessert section was dry. Overall, not worth the cost of $36 USD per person before tip. Clearly paying for the ambiance of the restaurant.
Now shame on me! The food was sooooooo good I didn't take a
Now shame on me! The food was sooooooo good I didn't take a photo lol! I was too busy eating to even take a picture! But I did grab the menu photos when I was done. These are the drink menus. This is a buffet style restaurant where you get up and grab your food. You eat as much as you want which I love! The food when I tell you this is NOLA COOKING!!!!!! I had some eggs amazing! Grits amazing! Fruit amazing! Meat amazing! Everything amazing! Also the lemonade!!!! Amazing!!!! You would think I was kept ordering alcohol the way I told the waitress to keep refilling my lemonade! The staff was so friendly and even guided me on what I wanted to eat, maybe they knew I was out of town because I was standing around looking confused at the food. My confusion was what did I want to eat lol!!! The corn bread yes yes with the butter yes yes yes! This is a breakfast/brunch spot. I heard sometimes they have music but when I was there was singing happy birthday but their happy birthday song made you want to get up and dance lol it was the standard yesterday monotone happy birthday this was a get up and dance happy birthday song. Even the waitress said that song stuck in my head now. When I return to NOLA I'll give this place another go and this time I would make sure to take photos of the food lol if I remember to lol. If you visit NOLA COME HERE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED & tell them it's your birthday even though it's not so they can sing that happy birthday song because I sure will!!!!! :D
I did want to like this place, very nice set up,
I did want to like this place, very nice set up, traditional New Orleans food, and a historic venue. However, they might be in need of help in the kitchen & wait staff. We waited 35 minutes for a drinks, and an hour for our appetizer. The manager was nice and tried his best to help, but they still were very slow on the service. For the price and reputation of the restaurant you would expect a better quality. The food wasn't bad if you don't mind the wait. Maybe if you're catching up with a long lost relative this spot is for you!
I had a terrible experience with the service at this
I had a terrible experience with the service at this restaurant. Most of the staff were rude, and our waitress, Charlene M., had an attitude the entire time. She messed up our order three times and made excuses each time. To make matters worse, she charged our card twice and made a fuss about refunding us. I asked for the manager and he wasn't any better with the situation! I would not recommend this place due to the poor service!!
Quaint
A lovely quirky, unique lovely restaurant. Please make a reservation and make sure you sit outside to benefit from these features. The restaurant runs a buffet style eatery which the option to have your eggs made, omelette or eggs Benedict. I went for omelette which was delicious. A large variety of other foods and desserts to chose from. Outside band playing jazz a chive of alcohol a perfect setting for brunch Service was exceptional.
This place was suggested by our Uber Driver.
*It's A Buffett* I don't usually do buffets, but since we were already there I gave them a try. Our waitress was very sweet and welcoming. There's a wide variety of food options, but I'm a picky eater and don't feel I got my money's worth. The atmosphere is nice. There's inside and outside dining. We chose inside because it was way too hot during Essence Fest. Weekend. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and glad I went, but I don't think I'd go back.
Came here from suggestion of our Uber driver for buffet
Came here from suggestion of our Uber driver for buffet brunch made reservation for 1130 am and was seated immediately. Lots of options in the buffet hot and cold dishes and desserts. Live jazz music was great. The boiled shrimp was overcooked and dry and cornbread really dry and chicken salad dry with no flavor along with the 3 bean salad .Other than that everything was good
I came here for Sunday Jazz brunch buffett.
Food - some items were a hit. Some were a miss. Nothing bad. I was expecting more selections since it was a buffet. My fav was the roast rib eye and red beans and rice. Service - very good. No complaints. Ambiance - it was hot and humid outside so I sat inside. The AC was nice and cool. Linen table covers and live jazz band playing. Good for the experience.
We visited for the jazz brunch and were glad for that
We visited for the jazz brunch and were glad for that decision. It's hard to find a place in New Orleans that can accommodate both a vegetarian (who does eat eggs) and an avid carnivore but this did it for us. The buffet was plentiful and the staff was frequently cleaning and refilling as trays emptied. Our server Merlin was kind and attentive along with another gentleman who kept our waters topped off all morning. The omelette station was efficient, there was a large variety of foods to choose from and it was nice to be able to try some Cajun dishes without committing to a full meal. The atmosphere was beautiful with the treetop canopy over the courtyard outside and the jazz band sounded great. Highly recommend this wonderful brunch spot!
Unique resturaunt with an amazing history! Really enjoyed
Unique resturaunt with an amazing history! Really enjoyed the friendly servers and the wide selection of food
The court of two sisters may be iconic but their brunch
The court of two sisters may be iconic but their brunch buffet was anything but that. Drinks were way overpriced (28 for a Bloody Mary double) Hollendase sauce was so watery there was practically no flavor. English muffin was so stale I couldn't cut it with a knife. Eggs were perfect. The prime rib was so salty I couldn't take a second bite. Shrimp was small and bland. We were placed at a table inside that was wet due to the air conditioner dripping, and weren't allowed to move. The waiter hovered over while paying the which was uncomfortable to say the least. Had very high expectations. The restaurant, courtyard and jazz were incredible. Spend your time and money elsewhere. Not worth $150 for 2 drinks and a sub par buffet.
Average Meal at best.
I have been here several years ago and thought the food was better then. Both my wife and myself opted for the chefs menu. We both had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and we both thought it was the best part of the meal. My wife then ordered the chicken dish and thought the chicken was on the dry side. I opted for the veal and thought the sauce was way too lemony. We did like the sides. Dessert was decent as I enjoyed the Bread pudding but my wife ordered the strawberry shortcake only to realize it was a glass of parfait and not an actual slice of cake. The staff was very pleasant and the service was great.
Just one word = Disappointing
The place was clean and it went downhill from there. The buffet was clean and well stocked. The grits were so salty it seemed really no one took the time to taste check. The music was non existent. In a 90 minute meal there were just 2 songs. I asked servers why this was and was told the music moves from room to room based on tips. There was 3 piece band, they seemed very old and slow moving. It turns out there was no one in the other rooms, they just went into the other rooms to rest. The buffet was average, but we had made reservations based on hearing Jazz Music. The manager we spoke to did not apologize nor did she seem to care. For a $80 lunch it was disappointing, the only low point of New Orleans. We will return to the Big Easy but just won’t come back here.
Topnotch Seafood and Ambiance.
I had a great crawfish-over-shrimp-fried-rice dinner and you can't get better ambiance. Just a charming courtyard restaurant with a whole lot of ambiance. It is expensive so you pay for what you get. The fish was fresh and the creole spices were exquisite.
An amazing oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter
We had a fabulous jazz brunch at the Court of Two Sisters on Tues 28 May with our friends. My husband and I first visited over 20 years ago and still have great memories of a wonderful, relaxed jazz brunch in the courtyard. We were keen to visit again and take our friends there, although I was a little concerned by some of the recent reviews that it might not be as good as last time. I'm glad to say I was totally wrong. Tues 28th was a lovely hot, sunny day and it was gorgeous to be in the shady, chilled surroundings with the delightful resident jazz band providing the soundtrack to our visit. The food was as delicious and varied as we remembered, and we made sure we took our time and had food little and often to make the most of our experience (as we'd done on our previous visit). The cocktails / drinks were refreshing and went down well, and we certainly had our fill of iced water as it was such a hot day! The service was friendly and attentive without being too intrusive. Would thoroughly recommend visitors seeking an authentic and relaxing experience to go to the Court of Two Sisters for Jazz Brunch - it's amazing value and such an oasis from the noise, hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street, although still an integral part of New Orleans culture.
Charming
Worth a stop over for the history of the building and the live jazz alone! It was fun to have a brunch buffet so you could try a bunch of different foods you might not normally order. The food was pretty good for a buffet. It felt a little touristy which is to be expected.
Has gone DOWN in quality and ambiance since 2020. Do NOT go!
I don't know if Covid is to blame but this formerly famous and classy restaurant has dropped in service ambiance and food quality. Took my family here on recent trip. Wanted to show them a really great New Orleans experience but was woefully disappointed. They now cram you into overfilled rooms that are extremely loud, noisy and hectic. Hard to enjoy the experience. The extremely expensive food portions were small and quality poor (cold, undercooked, etc.). Serving staff tries, but they seem to be run ragged to the point that they don't seem to care about anything except shoveling you through the process. Don't go here.
Made reservations for what was deemed a jazz brunch, which
Made reservations for what was deemed a jazz brunch, which was a bit underwhelming. We arrived at 10:30am to find the buffet was mostly lunch with just a few traditional breakfast dishes. The jazz band arrived around 10:45 and could barely be heard at our table toward the back of the courtyard. Despite the disappointing selection of dishes, the service was good.
The food is outstanding! It's a beautiful restaurant.
The table made Cesar's salad was reminiscent of the best restaurants-not done anymore. A wonderful treasure!
The courtyard is really lovely.
The servers were polite and were doing their best. The food was not even remotely the level of quality and taste we have had at other restaurants in New Orleans. Food was Cold and boring, I was super disappointed with the experience as this is supposed to be a "great restaurant", and it was not cheap. It's a miss.
A place you need to go once for the Jazz Brunch and then
A place you need to go once for the Jazz Brunch and then can move on to other places. The is OK, but to site outside or in the Terrace Room is something you have to experience once.
I really wanted to give a great review as I was looking
I really wanted to give a great review as I was looking forward to this Jazz lunch. Very few things were good. Food - overcooked and dry, the prime rib was literally shredded beef once sliced - fell apart into shreds. The only items that were of any good were the soup, the ordered items from the kitchen and the dessert. All the entrees otherwise were horrible. Service - started off decent until they pulled our server to the bar leaving us with no one. Trying to get a coffee at the end of the meal took 20 minutes and three different requests. Lastly the Jazz - being there for close to an hour and a half, maybe heard about 20 minutes of quiet Jazz. The trio moved room to room and you could not hear anything unless they were with you - been to other Jazz brunches where at least you could hear the jazz anywhere in the restaurant. Overall a disappointment unfortunately.
Very Mediocre & Disappointing! I was so looking forward to
Very Mediocre & Disappointing! I was so looking forward to this restaurant, but it was a let down from the beginning. We had reservations for 7:30pm they didn't seat us until 8pm, ordered a cocktail from the bar and a Sazerac at that "the official drink of New Orleans" they didn't even chill the glass. It took another 10 plus minutes to get water. Finally ordered my $30 shrimp and grits and it was so average. Setting was pretty and that's about all I can say positive. Mediocre at best!
A Disappointing Experience at a New Orleans Iconic Location
This venue is past its glory days. It is still crowded, but I feel that is more from traditional reputation than any current excellence. The tables are packed in so tightly that the waiters cannot always get past without bumping chairs, and the noise from other tables is distracting. The experience would be ten times better if they took out some tables. Cocktails were not good. Appetizers (bacon wrapped duck) was very good, but that turned out to be the highlight. Entrees were average or below average. We left without even trying dessert because the experience was so disappointing. We had four dinners in the French Quarter, and this was by far the least impressive.
Jazz Brunch - best so far!
We stopped in here for a Wednesday Jazz Brunch. Nice vibe. There is a courtyard and also inside seating. You can make reservations but we didn’t. Some dishes we tried: gumbo, turtle soup , shrimp pasta, shrimp étouffée (this was better at Mother’s restaurant, cornbread (huge pieces..ours was dry and crumbly), pecan pie, bread pudding, and bananas foster. It’s our fav restaurant in New Orleans so far. Our server Merlin even cared is down to return a bag we forgot. Good service and we left stuffed!
Excellent service, great variety of food and drink. Many many choices of food for all tastes/diets.
We reserved this restaurant for the jazz brunch on our last day. The service was excellent from our waiter. We opted to eat inside which was great and near to the music. The food was very varied and tasty. Plenty of choice, lots of variety of drinks as-well. We would definitely recommend
Not a big fan.
We went and it wasn't really busy yet we couldn't get the waiter to bring us things for forever. We almost finished eating before we got our drinks. My husband never got his and I was charged for a tomato juice and got a Bloody Mary mix that was so gross. Would love to try again but we are here on vacation.
If you're into buffets with a huge variety, then this is
If you're into buffets with a huge variety, then this is for you. The service was okay, the food was mediocre at best. I think it was a bit overpriced for each person. $36 is a bit much in my opinion. The red beans and rice were really good, along with the creamed spinach.
Disappointed
Let me start by saying that I have never gone to the trouble of writing a review. People be warned. First of all it beautiful outside in the lighted court yard. I have been the New Orleans before but we took our friends from UK. Service was good. We ordered some wine and then dinner. The veal Oscar is described in the menu has a cutlet and at 40.00 should have been. But it was not a cutlet the chief came out and said we were right it was not and did we want anything else. All handled well. Then my drum fish had not brown butter as described but after a long wait and my husband going in I finally received the 4 lemons I needed. Then there were the rats running around. 4 in total. We actually laughed with the staff about them. But it was a very disappointing 250.00 dinner. But ratatouille might be on the new menu.
Great way to sample the local cuisine
A great way to try different local cuisines. Very tasty and fresh food buffet. Great music and courtyard was fantastic.
Courtyard Brunch
Minus one star because it was supposed to be a jazz brunch but the band maybe played 20% of the time we were there. The court yard was beautiful and the service was really good. I enjoyed the buffet!
Super conflicted on the rating I want to give.
Food was average at best. Everything on one bar (with the grits and red beans and rice) was cold...not lukewarm, just plain cold. All the other food was warm, not hot at all. I get it, it's a buffet but eating hot soup and hot meats would have been nice. The service....our actual waiters were ok. 2 gentlemen took care of us. One spilled water and ice on the table while he was pouring my water and didn't bother picking up the ice. I didn't know what to do with it so I scooped it on my plate. Attentive, yes but just ok. The service at the buffet line was terrible. I stood in front of the guy carving the meat and he ignored me. My boyfriend walked up and said hello to him and he ignored him too. The toothless carver (he was missing his front top teeth) called 2 other guys over to him and they were talking to each other as me and my boyfriend just stood there. He finally served us after he finished his conversation. I walked down the line to get the gumbo and all three men stood behind the line talking about a woman in the dining room. They were making inappropriate comments about her and one said "are you trying to get up beat up". So gross. The same carving man walked back and forth across the courtyard and spit on the ground each time he walked by (we were seated facing the courtyard). The jazz part was fine and it was a cute place inside (it was raining out). I would never go again. $100 for lukewarm & cold food, watching staff spit in the courtyard and inappropriate staff ogling & commenting on women during brunch is not my thing.
Make sure you make a reservation on their website the day
Make sure you make a reservation on their website the day before! If you make a reservation on a Friday, it will be confirmed on a Monday. Plan accordingly. Brunch is from 9AM - 3PM, and I did not have a reservation, but thank God I was seated as a solo traveler after all the reservations at 9AM were seated. The Southern hospitality shows here. The wait staff were very friendly and professional. Glenda was my server and she was really nice to tell me her favorites, which I tried for my second trip through the buffet. Drinks are extra - an orange juice was $3.00. Definitely worth the trip to try New Orleans cuisine. I can't wait to come back with my husband... and I'll definitely will make a reservation so I don't wait for 15-20-minutes as the reservation groups are seated.
Good Food and Nice Ambiance
Went for dinner and really enjoyed it. Restaurant had a nice open-air setting with twinkling lights. I had the crabcake entree with Corn Maque Choux and my wife had the Veal Oscar. We both enjoyed our meals very much; they were very tasty and cooked perfectly. For dessert, we had Bannas Foster. It was delicious and it was fun to see it being prepared tableside. Most entrees are in the $30 dollar range and the Bannas Foster was $12. There are specialty cocktails available and a good selection of wines to choose from for your meal. Our waitress was excellent, attentive and very personable. Reservations are not necessary, but it is good idea to get one. From our experience, I would recommend this restaurant for dinner.
Great visit for brunch
The brunch here was delicious! We sat in the courtyard and listened to live jazz music. The atmosphere was amazing. The brunch is served as a buffet with several options to choose from. I believe we paid about $45/person including tip for 4 of us. Alcohol was not included. If you pay with cash it’s a little cheaper than credit card!
Must try brunch
We did the jazz brunch buffet and it was amazing!! The food was great and the service was even better!! Merlin was our server and he was so kind and friendly!!
A sure bet for lunch!
Took the advice from our concierge to have lunch here. Well worth the visit. Great staff, hospitality, sumptuous buffet and open air experience with live jazz music. Our host, Gilda, made it a great experience!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ

Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
