tables way to close to each other
This place is nice but so extremely crowded that it was enough to really ruin the experience. We did make a reservation, it was not like we just showed up. The sat us at a table right at the entrance, but it was right in the way of staff and guests so we asked to be moved. They moved us to a different table and it was so close to the other table behind us that every time when anyone would walk by they bumped into me . Crazy! To spend $500 in a little bit over an hour and to feel like you cannot even move because you would disturb the people behind you is crazy. I would rather go to Texas Road House.
Be the first to ReplyGood food! Great wines! Great experience! A few misses and not quite perfect for business calls!
Great concept! Staff who almost always deliver! Really good food, classic Steak House as you would expect when you are in the US. Great selection of wines!! Disadvantages? The staff misses some orders which is annoying. In particular, the wine for the starter arrived 10 minutes after we had eaten... It is also very loud so business conversations are challenging.

Very beautiful restaurant with good food, it's a shame they brought my dish with the cut completely off and it took a while for it to be returned It didn't take away the shine of the night, service was impeccable!!!!
Be the first to ReplyMy FIRST, my LAST with my Money
As a first time guest to this fine dining establishment, I expected more than I received. I also got more than I could have ever imagined. Jody, our server, was knowledgeable about her menu- no doubt due to her length of service with Darden's Capital Grille and the high standard expected for the employees to be well versed with the menu. I liked that. But that is about where it ends for the compliments except for the bread options pre-dinner. They were very nice. Moving onto the meal. For our starters, there was a Wedge salad and crab cakes ordered that was shared between 3 of us. The salad was alright, burnt bacon bits but basically ok. The crab cakes, I thought we're ok. Honestly never had crab cakes before like these. They tasted more raw and cold than I'd ever had. And I guess I let a lot go because it was my first "fine dining experience ". NEVER AGAIN!! There were a few items we ordered for the entire table for our Entrees, buffet style items...the asparagus times 3, lobster Mac and cheese, and the mashed potatoes. The items are ala carte and were easily shared between our party of total 13. My personal entree plate was the seared Salmon with heirloom tomatoes, white wine butter and lemon basil mosto and when I tell you that I love salmon normally. It is an understatement BUT!!!!!!! not last night nor today!!!!! This dish, I'm sure on any other night would taste great because on paper it sounds amazing. But I DID NOT have this experience!!! The salmon was cooked with nice crispy edges but the entire time I'm eating this dish, I'm thinking, "Am I suppose to be tasting alcohol in this dish. So I read the menu description and yes there's white wine in this. So yes I was supposed to be ok with the taste of alcohol in this dish. NEVER AGAIN!!!!I was supposed to work a double today but I couldn't even make it on time to the first part of my double and had to leave work after attempting to hold it together. I have only had food poisoning one time before and it feels very similar but can't say for 100%. But I do know for 100% certainty that this experience has changed my thinking of the fine dining experience, food and my money. Automatic 20% gratuity is reasonable under the right circumstances but there is always exceptions to the rules. And really, she could have gotten a better tip from me but I don't do well with others TELLING me what to do. So she got what she got. But that will be the one and only time Capital Grille will get any of my money that I work for. The second time I threw up, I made that up in my mind and I can't see myself paying for another experience like this one. โญโญ I'm so sad. I wanted you to be better.

Went there for dinner. The service and food was great. We ordered the surf and turf meal that is on the menu for $70.00. We had got the bill and it was over $500 for 4 people. We had $350.00 in gift certificates that we applied to the bill. After leaving a few days later we looked at the bill because we were talking about how high it was. After checking we were charged for 2 African lobster tails for $85 and steak was $60 when the surf and turf was $70. Multiple attempts to reach management has been unsuccessful and never got a returned call. Capital Grill as far I always heard was a high class place. Well I got fooled. As far as I am concerned it is a low class establishment
Be the first to ReplyRecognizing great employees and great service
We had a great experience at this Capital Grille as weโve been to several over the years. The hostess was great upon arrival and departure and our server Demetra was wonderful. 5 stars for her service and attention to detail. The other women who assisted Demetra (apologies as I donโt remember her name) was spot on as well. They made a great team and Iโm writing this review because itโs important to recognize great employees!

Absolutely incredible!! ASK FOR MARISSA...she was impeccable from start to finish....her knowledge, personality, and attentiveness was superb! The manager, Kyle....just wow...he led the way!!! Between his genuine expertise and her persona, my husband, grandfather, his wife, and I were given an amazing experience. It felt flawless. No special occasion, just a great time!!! Thank you Capital Grille. Thank you Marissa. Thank you Kyle. Wonderful establishment, wonderful people....will return.
Be the first to ReplyVery Disappointing for Such an Establishment
This was so very disappointing- we went here for our big NYE dinner and were absolutely disappointed. The food was the most tasteless either of us had ever had- the steaks, the sides, everything.... This definitely was not a $250 meal. We will not dine at any Capital Grille again. We will stick with Ruth Chris, Mortons, Flemings... even Charleys was much better. There was no wow factor, not with the food, not with the service... very blazay...

What a wonderful experience from the class of the dark wood to the knowledge and attention of the staff, this was a memorable dining experience. The martinis were made perfectly with hand-stuffed olives. Starting with a dozen oysters, which were delicious, even the bread choice was interesting and yummy. We had the Chilean Sea Bass and surf and turf, a 10 oz filet with a lobster tail. For the table we had lobster Mac and cheese and sautรฉed mushrooms. Everything was prepared to a โTโ. The sea bass was scrumptious, the filet done perfectly medium rare and the lobster was cooked to perfection. There is a good wine list and the staff knows good pairings. Dessert was a lovely platter with a square of dense chocolate cake and one of cheese cake. This restaurant is well worth the visit if you want top notch food, outstanding service and a warm atmosphere.

Service was excellent, food was delicious:. I need to reiterate the service: phenomenal. Jodi took great care of us. I recommend the beet salad, clam chowder, and crusted bone-in ribeye.
Be the first to ReplyLovely food but very pricey
Very good restaurant. Nice variety and options , good wine and great staff. With a bill of $350 though for two is was rather expensive.

Be the first to ReplyGreat Evening
An enjoyable dinner with a group of 20 plus people in the private room. Atmosphere was great, out sever was fantastic with the food and wine along with good conversation. The streaks were perfect, my favorite appetizer was the calamari with hot peppers. Great wine selection as well. A fun evening with great food in a relaxing atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyGo to Ocean Prime instead to be treated like a human being
I want to start this off by saying I never really write bad reviews because I also worked in the service industry and understand that the majority of customer complaints are bs and the workers are doing their best. However, tonight I had my first โpretty womanโ experience courtesy of Yulia the hostess in the pink/purple uniform at the Orlando International Drive location. My colleagues and I had just wrapped up an amazing conference down the street and after spending the day exploring the city, we decided to make a reservation at Capital Grille for a fine dining experience to end an amazing work trip. We were dressed in semi casual attire featuring some tshirts, black flared slacks, and one of us was in jean shorts and flip flops. We first asked one of the more pleasant hostesses if we would be able to be seated in our current attire. She let us know that she could seat us in about 15 minutes and began taking down our information. During this time, Yulia approached the other hostess and began making snide remarks about us being not able to afford the bill and that there was suddenly such a disgusting musky smell that filled her lungs and she couldnโt get it away from her face. It was extremely clear that she was referring to us as she was also glaring at us and looking us up and down. I have never been treated with such blatant disrespect in an establishment and have frequently dined at other capital grille locations in my area. I understand there is a dress code which is why we asked if we would be able to be seated prior to making a reservation. I will never return to this location and I will make sure to tell all of my colleagues at this conference and future conferences what disgusting treatment we received at this location. This conference happens annually so we will gladly take our business elsewhere and recommend that our friends and colleagues do the same. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and dignity we received from Yulia and will be contacting upper management immediately upon my return home. My recommendation is that you go to Ocean Prime instead for great food and kind, professional service no matter what you look like. Shame on Capital Grille for allowing this behavior. Negative 10 stars.
Be the first to ReplyJust not what it used to be
Ordered the filet and wife had the chicken breast, both came out less than warm, salads were just swimming in dressing and croutons so big hard to eat. Bread on the table seemed old as well. wife's cauliflower au gratin was scorched waitress did give us credit for that. Huge jump in wine BTG prices for only a 5-6 oz pour should have easily been 9 oz. I can't fault the waitress she did a great job, but when you're there on Christmas Eve you don't want to start sending food back to wait on again etc. Just not the quality i used to get at a Capital grille

We were celebrating a friends special Birthday. Michael our waiter was absolutely wonderful and very attentive. Filet was cooked to perfect as was the sautรฉed spinach.

Went here for the first time as recommended by our friends. Wow, it was absolutely superb from beginning to end, the food, the service, could not fault anything.
Be the first to ReplyWow. We dropped in here the
Wow. We dropped in here the first time by accident, without a reservation to avoid a storm - we were warmly welcomed and hosted by a very knowledgeable waiter (I did not get his name, sorry) we had a fantastic meal of Veal, salmon and a kids max n cheese (the best any of us had tried). Roll on to the second visit for my birthday the following week. I had the best steak Iโve ever had in my life. Cooked to perfection, and the sides (creamed corn, mushrooms & dauphinois) were outstanding. My husband had the NY strip, which was also outstanding. In England we donโt have a โNY stripโ and so asked our waiter where it came from. The chef came out and spent a great deal of time explaining to us where it comes from, and the hanging process. Fantastic meal, our new favorite in Florida. Outstanding service also! Thank you!

Although the check in was a bit bumpy with having a reservations upfront. It turned out to be a great choice. Just a stone throw away from our hotel it was walking distance. Great choice of meat and fish items. We opted for the clam chowder as a typical American starter. Small portion but filling. I liked the note of calories on the menu for each item. I got a filet mignon as main which was perfectly cooked (medium) and nice mushrooms on the side. Mashed potatoes and spinach came extra also at an extra high cost f 13$ and more. Nice choice of cocktails. Heavy on the alcohol side. Very attentive waiter. A bit too much sometimes but hey he really tries hard. Prices are on the higher side.
