Cold burger
I came in specifically for the veggie burger. Although it was delicious, the burger itself was cold inside. Like they grabbed it out of the walk in and sautรฉed it for about one minute. I was in a hurry and ate it anyway. I brought half home and ate it the next day- hot- and it was much better. The homemade potato chips were delicious. I would definitely go again, but I would send the veggie burger back if it was served cold again.

Convenient for breakfast when staying at the Pod Hotel next door Only positive point Very expensive even with the 10% reduction when you stay at the Pod Unfriendly welcome and service Stale croissants Dishes offered for breakfast not really in good taste We console ourselves with sunnyside fried eggs

We all had very tasty meals, beautifully presented and service was quick. Sat outside which was very pleasant. Friendly service
Be the first to ReplyGood Vegan restaurant in Brooklyn, but Pricy
The Butcher's Daughter is a good, but pricy, vegan restaurant in Brooklyn. However, the menu choices are not remarkable. If you want to good, vegan dining experience in Brooklyn, I recommend Champs Diner which has a much more varied menu and better pricing.
Be the first to ReplyPlant based. Love the Brooklyn Location!
One of my favorite restaurants in Williamsburg. You don't have to be plant-based (I am not) to enjoy their food. Gets super busy on weekends so I opt for lunch during the week. I highly recommend the cheeseburger with the impossible patty and either regular cheese or vegan cheese.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite places for brunch in NYC
The Butchers Daughter is a stunning place for brunch in NYC. They don't take reservations for brunch and it's normally packed by 10.30am - it's that good! The food is of fantastic quality as is the menu. While they don't do pancakes you'll get all the standard brunch stuff like eggs, waffles etc. The coffee is great too and there's a wonderful choice of milks available. The space is very bright and the vibe is great. The staff are super friendly and all round it's just a great place to grab brunch.

Found it because itโs just on the corner of the hotel Iโm staying.
The place is cute, and reception was nice from the front desk lady.
Menu includes vegan options (not my case) and different types of coffee and tea. They also have hemp milk.
Had the egg sandwich (amazing!) and a latte with hemp milk. Spent US$21,00, worth every cent of it.
Amazing brunch but quite high prices
Brunch was absolutely amazing. I will remember the vegan waffles for a very very long time ! Also, I think this is the best cappuccino with almond milk that I have ever drink in my life. Thanks ! Prices are quite high

I first experienced TBD on Abbot Kinney in Santa Monica and found this one by accident. It didnt disappoint - gorgeous fluffy pancakes and the most amazing mango/coconut shake. Highly recommend it for breakfast/brunch/lunch.
Be the first to ReplyThe Butcher's Daughter lives up to the buzz!
After a 5+ mile walk through Brooklyn, we were famished. It's a good thing we had reservations for The Butcher's Daughter and that it lived up to the buzz. The food was OUTSTANDING and our waitress was helpful. Two of us shared the Pesto Linguine and vegan version of the Portobello "Steak" and a companion tried the full-on dairy Mac N Cheese (which was so SUPER-rich she couldn't finish it). Everything was delish. We didn't order drinks so our wallets didn't take much of a hit.ย Water was served in bottles, left on the table for self-service, with mint. Ohm...
The decor is mostly white so the place has a light/airy feel.ย We came in early September when the weather was perfect and the restaurant had both indoor andย outdoor sidewalk seating. It's noisy no matter where you sit: music bouncing off the ceiling and walls indoors vs. traffic/street noises outdoors.
I sat on the little wicker-like chars and was fine. My companions sat on what appeared to be the more stable seating. Those seats are connected to other seating and both companions felt a sharp thud whenever the neighbors to their backs knocked into the backs of their seats. The seating is fun looking but perhaps not so well thought out if you have active "neighbors".ย
We definitely changed the demographic - by a generation+ - when we arrived!
Back to the food though: It was DELICIOUS and we'll be back! If only The Butcher's Daughter was a little closer/more convenient, I'd eat there every week! Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't have written this review. I'd hate to see the place jam-packed when I come back. It' a good thing that the attached The Butcher's Daughter Brooklyn Bakeryย + Market was closed or we might have done some serious damage there.ย
