What a wonderful experience all around, went for Mother's Day and it was the absolute perfect way to spend the day together as a family!! We first enjoyed a bottle of the Rosy Bubbles and then wanted another so we tried a bottle of the Brut Bubbles. We all LOVE the bubbly kinda drinks in my family and man oh man, these bottles did not disappoint! They were absolutely delicious and worth every penny. The views are remarkable, the set up is on point, and the sunset there was simply magical. It was our first time going, but definitely not our last! Looking forward to our next visit to The Barn!

I was searching for weeks for the best place to do it and once i found Cielo farms, i knew this was it. The location is amazing. Hidden in the hills lays a beautiful farm where you can walk thru and leads out to a circle with stunning views. Jamie their event coordinator made everything so easy. She laid out all the options and within 30 minutes my event was booked. She then made sure to connect me with one of the staff that was over looking the event and was going to be there the day of. Both of them answered any questions or problems i had and were always a call away and answered! My experience with them was phenomenal and i recommend this place to anyone who wants to make a romantic event.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an awesome vineyard.
Almost smack dab in the middle of the Santa Monica Hills and a great central area to get to whether you are coming from the North or South. Wine was great, but the views made it even better. I highly recommend! The bartenders were really knowledgeable and the service was impeccable with people walking around taking things away as you're done with them or providing water!
Be the first to ReplyAttractive view but outrageously overpriced.
The $35 reservation fee is just to get in the door, not applied to your bill or anything. As others have mentioned there is no reserved seating and no wait staff. You pay $35 to seat yourself, go to the bar and order yourself, and pick up your own food and drinks. Wine was unremarkable at $30/glass, and as others had mentioned the food is prepackaged sold boxes from Erewon, the country's most expensive grocery store. Totally not worth it.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful views and the white rabbit wine was our favorite.
We went during the week, had a reservation and didn't have to pay for valet. It was self park which was good because this place is pricey. The only down side was you would think with a reservation they wouldn't run out of food but we got there at 3:30 and they were out of charcuterie boards. The description says no food or drink but the winery said we can order Uber eats that day because they only had chocolates available. I would have rather brought my own snacks because the plan was to go to dinner after. I think they should allow food and drinks if you are allowing Uber eats . Pizza is only available on the weekend which I also missed in the description. Probably would have stayed longer and drank more if I had some crackers to munch on. Lol It was nice but unfortunately, would not visit again.

We came to celebrate a birthday at Cielo Farms on a Friday afternoon. Beautiful location with stunning views. The wine is on the pricey side but worth the atmosphere and attentive service. They offer charcuterie and pizzas on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It's amazing to know that this hidden gem is only an hour or so away from DTLA. Great place to come spend a beautiful sunny day and escape the hustle bustle of the city.

My friend from Dallas visited and she wanted to visit a winery, The Barn didn't disappoint. We had a calm and pleasant experiance. My friend loved it.
Be the first to ReplyI was initially apprehensive about Cielo.
Malibu is expensive, so high prices are to be expected. But prices at Cielo felt wild. I'm talking $30 for a GLASS of wine. Dude! But we went, and I'm so glad we did. Here's why: It's a breathtaking winery on top of a mountain in Malibu. Views for days, firepits, class, elegance and delicious wine. Enough said. If you are on vacation, looking for something special to do and don't mind the splurge then it's 100% worth the visit. Especially if you love a good winery, since there aren't many in the area. Definitely make a reservation if you plan to visit on the weekend. They end up fully booking out, so if you want to go you'll need one. I could've sat and sipped for hours!

An absolutely stunning winery with breathtaking views, nestled up in the Malibu mountains. Service here was super friendly and the wine was amazing. This is a great spot for a little weekend getaway. Came here on a Friday, and it wasn't too busy. You are definitely paying for quality wine, service, and views here!

I honestly loved the idea of a winery in Malibu, but I didn't agree with the exorbitant pricing for the quality received: * $35 Reservation fee for the Day Pass * $15 Valet fee (no self-parking option) * $50 (non-member) White Rabbit Flight (4 small pours) I liked the White Rabbit Flight, but thought the pricey food tasted average. Open seating and self-service: After ordering and finding a table, you'll have to return to the Barn and carry your trays of food and drinks back to your seats. The panoramic backdrop of the Santa Monica mountains and tabletop fires made our visit feel secluded, serene, and warm! If a scenic and romantic ambiance is your priority, then Cielo Farms might be worthwhile for you.

Beautiful setting and amazing service. The pizzas were delicious and we enjoyed the variety of wines.

Most beautiful winery in the LA area! Stunning views, great wine, kind/fun staff. My girlfriends and I now come here anytime we have a celebration, a friend in town, or just need a fun afternoon in the sunshine with some wine.12/10 recommend. Plus, they have pizza on weekends.

The most stunning venue in Malibu! Love coming here as the views are unmatched, the service is outstanding and the wines are fabulous. Always such a treat to relax at Cielo.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely overpriced and unenjoyable.
I would avoid this place unless you have time and money to waste. Because we were a larger party, we were all forced to purchase a flight of wine which cost $50+ a person. On top of that, we were automatically charged for gratuity. However, there is no service provided by anyone who works here. You order at a counter and pick up your food/wine yourself. Tables are first come first serve despite us having a reservation. Upon arrival you "check in" and are just handed your flight of wine and told to "enjoy." No one explains them to you and no one goes over the tasting notes. They have food, but after waiting an hour and a half for a pizza that never arrived, I had to flag someone down to try and get a refund because my entire party was ready to leave. The whole experience is not worth the price you are forced to pay, and the wine is overshadowed by how terrible it all was.

I am INCREDIBLY disappointed and shocked by what happened at this establishment today. Let me first start off with stating that I recognize the policy of bringing no food or beverages inside. I understand this. However, just like everything else in life, I feel that there are exceptions to rules. Due to being pregnant, I am not able to enjoy wine. I'm very early in my pregnancy, and I did not want to announce to my friends yet - especially since I had just experienced a miscarriage. With that in mind, I had an unopened NONALCOHOLIC bottle of wine in my car that I brought. Instead of trying to sneak it in, I did the responsible thing and went in to discuss this with the tasting room. I explained my situation to a lovely tasting room attendant, where she said she didn't think it would be too much of a problem since they didn't have anything on their menu that was equivalent. As soon as she walked over to run it by her boss, he gave an immediate no. The sweet woman tried to explain the situation, and he shrugged his shoulders and said "oh well". I ended up drinking a seltzer, and because I wasn't drinking wine, I was asked if I'm pregnant. It was very uncomfortable for me. I tried to call the tasting room after I left to discuss this with a manager. I received a text message from a guy named Rob, who also claimed to be an owner. I asked him to call me, and when he did, it was one of the most inconsiderate phone calls I've experienced. After explaining my disappointment, he said that he didn't get why I had to pretend and why I HAD to be having a wine glass in my hand. I explained that since we were at a winery, it would seem odd if I wasn't drinking. Perhaps it's because Rob has never been pregnant or dealt with anyone who has been, but his demeanor and tone were not receptive for anyone calling about criticism or something that happened. He consistently interrupted when I was speaking, and in the end told me that he wasn't going to deal with this and that he was hanging up. Being locals, this type of behavior has completely put us off from every hosting an event at this location due to the lack of customer service and consideration of the customer.

we came here on 2/12 with a 4PM reservation and it was pretty empty! this winery is beautiful so i highly recommend checking this place! the roads to get up here are a bit windy. you enter through a gate and they ask or check your ID to make sure everyone is 21+! there's only valet parking as an option. restrooms were nice and clean, staff was great and came back often to refill our waters and change the fire! the food was pretty good and the views were gorgeous! i recommend bringing a jacket or blanket in case it gets cold!
Be the first to ReplyI made a reservation ahead of time through the Cielo Barn's
I made a reservation ahead of time through the Cielo Barn's online system, paid a non-refundable $25 fee, paid $12 in parking (spent $$ on gas) and as a group spent over $200 in food and drinks - it was a BAD EXPERIENCE! Upon arrival in the tasting room, the directions were that it was open seating and to grab a table where no one was sitting which is what we did. Our group chose a fire pit table and settled in. Within half hour of sitting, we got approached by a random staff member who rudely asked "do you have a reservation"? I mentioned that we did have a reservation but he proceeded to tell us that we didn't have the kind of 'reservation' he was referring to, and told us to vacate the table for a party that the owner knows who will be arriving in 30 minutes. By this time, the sitting area is full and we had to drag all our stuff along with the wine trying to find a table, eventually found one but it was right next to the busy entrance which was not great. The couples who were sitting next to us also did not have any 'special reservations' but were NOT asked to move and when we left the Barn more than an hour later, the original table was still vacant. I think this place has no clue on how to run a business, communicate the basic rules or manage customers in a fair/polite manner. While we enjoyed the outdoor space, it is not worth being bounced around and treated this way!

Really beautiful property! We visited on a weekday afternoon and had a great time. We sampled some wines and shared a bottle of the estate Cab...which is absolutely delicious! They turned on the fire pit for us and it was a beautiful, clear day. Enjoyed the veggie board. Be sure to do the photo booth and have fun!

... Love it herrrrre!!! Super cute place . Great for a girls brunch, group of friends day out, first dates, multiple dates , anniversaries, and just about anything. We ordered Mushroom and truffle Pizza was the perfect balance of flavors. European cheeseboard wasn't anything special. I expected more for the price .White rabbit flight and Woodstock flight were both great. Don't think we tried a wine we didn't like here tbh
Be the first to ReplyThe flight is $60 and the choices is not good.
I love red wine and I felt there red is not as good. :/ The winery is ok. I was expecting more of a nice view. Which I think it's ok. $12 for parking and table is $25. I felt it's not worth it at all.

We had a great time celebrating my friend's birthday here today. Jessie has fantastic customer service skills and she made the experience even better. The pizza, Cesar salad, and chocolate platter were all yummy. The wine is decent, and the views are beautiful. We will be back soon.
