Delicious food, well-packaged to stay hot and not spill if you order delivery. They're also always really good about preventing cross-contamination if you order gluten free items.
Be the first to ReplyWe arrived at 7:25 PM on Friday, 3/03/23.
Had to wait to be seated since it was peak dinner time and there were a lot of people dining in. The hostess took us upstairs and seated us at a table. We didn't receive any menus, so we were checking on our phones until one of the servers came and gave us 2 paper menus. After a brief look, we picked out our food items. Ordered the Fresh Summer Rolls with Shrimp, Pork Belly, Papaya Salad (5 Star Spice Level), Phad Woonsen with Chicken (4 Stars), and a Mixed Veggie dish with Chicken (3 Stars). We got our appetizers after about 10 minutes of ordering - Fresh Summer Rolls, Papaya Salad first and then the Pork Belly. The 3 Apps were pretty tasty. The Papaya Salad was more on the sour tasting side even though it was plenty spicy. The entrees we got were definitely not at the spice level we had asked for at all. Mixed veggies and the noodle dish tasted bland, lacked flavor and had 0 level of spice! Not sure what the point was of asking us for the spice level if they weren't going to put any chili in there?! I mean, didn't see a single chili pepper or taste a hint of spiciness at all. Not sure if the order was placed correctly or if the chefs were too busy with all of the other customers' orders, but we were pretty disappointed with the flavors. Lack of seasoning, lack of flavor and attention to detail with the main plates we ordered...Overall a disappointing and unsatisfying experience. We have been to this restaurant many times before and never had a bad dining experience until now. I mean, the foods tasted alright, just weren't up to our standards and didn't meet our expectations with the spice level in general even though the service was good.
Be the first to ReplyI think I love Thai food again.
After I don't know how many years of considering Thai food an average quick pick up meal, I have decided that it's a special event now that we've found right place. We ordered some red curry and the phad see ew. We were going to eat the chicken and veggies out of the curry, but it was so incredibly, shockingly good that we had to order some rice to soak up the sauce. The phad see you was dark and so flavorful. Often times in the past I would order the noodle dish at a Thai restaurant, and it would be lighter in color and lacking in some flavor, but at this very place we have found the ultimate flavorful perfect dish done right that I've been hoping this dish could taste like since the beginning of time. Wow. Looking forward to sampling more dishes and to eat these dishes again and again.
Be the first to ReplyVery flavorful Thai food.
My only issue as that there is a better Thai place right around the corner that is less expensive with just as good taste.

Excellent Thai food! Flavorful Panang curry with a great variety of vegetables. Pineapple fried rice has a delicious spice blend and was cooked perfectly. A great location, very convenient when visiting Bellevue Square mall. Good service. Attentive and very accommodating for vegetarians!

Well marinated and tender. Good ambiance. Located top level just next Crate and Barrel. Enter outside from parking structure

The team at Thai Kitchen Bird Pepper was able to accommodate a short notice request for a party of 12 the night of saving our dinner after a different reservation fell through. Thank you so much for hosting us. Service was wonderful and food was amazing, our guests were delighted and full after dinner.

Decent Thai restaurant located in Bellevue Square by Crate & Barrel. My husband and I went here a couple times during both lunch and dinner. They seemed understaffed both times but the service has always been friendly. We did not have reservations but were greeted and seated within five minutes both times. The restaurant has beautiful decoration and the vibe is very chill! The dishes we ordered were quite tasty. We tried 4-star Brody's Fried Rice with Chinese Sausage, Fried Tofu Pad Thai, Garlic Chicken Wings, Thai Toms Fire Cracker Prawns, and the Thai Iced Tea. The only downside is they are on the pricier side. Understandable since they're located in Bellevue. However, that didn't stop us from coming back the 2nd time and for more in the future.

Excellent food! You must make a reservation, because this place is very busy. Their food is pricier than your hole in the wall thai food, but for good reason. You get what you pay for and it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend the drunken noodles, chicken panang curry, fried shrimp appetizer, and chicken satay. All authentic and very flavorful. So good that you just don't want to stop eating! My kids ordered the pad Thai which they said was a bit on the sweet side. Definitely a craveworthy spot!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Thai food, good ambiance, friendly staff.
Would recommend this place for family and office outings.

A disappointing experience to what should have been a fantastic meal and experience. While the food was great (although a bit overpriced for the quantity compared to other local Thai restaurants), it is the establishments policies that floored us. We arrived in time for Happy Hour (a family party of 6), and ordered two items off the Happy Hour menu. We also ordered two drinks as we believed was the policy (1 drink for 1 Happy Hour item, etc.). However when the bill came, we were told that the entire group had to order at least 1 drink for any Happy Hour item discount. Any absolutely ridiculous, costly policy (again, many establishments require 1 drink for 1 item match, which is reasonable). I pointed out to the staff had it just been my wife and I, we could have gotten the two Happy Hour items; but because I had my whole family we were not entitled . We were told that's the policy; with no attempt to correct or make it right. After spending close to $170 (including 20% gratuity), it's more the principle than the cost itself. And then to be told we "weren't charged for the wrong dish that was provided" (it was replaced after the meal was almost complete, we didn't even know they had given us the Tom Yum instead of the Tom Kha); as if that was some sort of "bonus". I feel the staff was polite but working off the orders of management and probably had their hands tied. Cannot return or recommend this restaurant. Again, 1 drink for each Happy Hour item is fair. 4,6,8,10 drink minimum or however big your party is for one item? Asinine.

Starting off, the Snap Dragon and Koh Samui mocktails were both excellent. The Crying Tiger and Sun-dried Beef Tenderloin appetizers were amazing. The beef was so tender and succulent and a great cut of meat. Our favorite was the dry sukiyaki shrimp noodles and the phad-see-iw noodles. I also recommend the garlic green beans. The mango and sticky rice was a great ending to a wonderful dinner. My daughter has nut allergies and they were very good about accommodating her. I highly recommend if you want great authentic Thai food.

A very worthy successor of the legendary Thai Kitchen in Bellevue. The food is just as yummy and delicious as we remember, the service is friendly and attentive and the ambience very nice. The fresh roles are outstanding, the best in Bellevue! The other Thai staples are all great we have yet to experience a bad meal here.So happy Bird Pepper is carrying on the Thai Kitchen mission, we'll be back over and over again!
Be the first to ReplyMy family and I was looking for a place to eat.
Cheesecake Factory had a 90 min wait, Tavern Hall and cactus both had hour waits. We walked by the Tai Kitchen and there was no wait and we were seated immediately. I saw having being seated as a lucky situation. Me my wife and two daughters then ordered food and the SLOP that was served to us was disgusting! As hungry as we all were we all barley touched our food and paid a bill of 126.00 to essentially just throw food away. We all had upset stomachs all night. I will never go there again and I warn you all to never go there as well. If I could rate this place with negative stars I would. If you decide to dine at this restaurant be sure to have prayers and Pepto on hand.

A lovely Friday night dinner with no wait! I was craving some spring rolls and these really hit the spot- we got prawn and tofu. I had the pad see iw, a bit different than it normally tastes to me (perhaps less Americanized) but still delicious! They split an iced tea among us, which I appreciated.

We visited on a Saturday and ordered pad Thai and crab rangoon. Service was great but food was just ok.
Be the first to ReplyVery friendly staff.
I recently ordered via Grubhub, which seems currently unreliable in the area (so if you use, keep tabs on the order, and give extra time for delivery.I ordered the Spring roll appetizer, it came with 4 pieces. Very good and fresh. Also had the yellow curry and brown rice (have to order the rice separately) . Curry had excellent flavor, mild , but I wish it would have had more chicken.I ended up at the restaurant, simple clean decor and kind, attentive staff.I would make sure you ask for plate when ordering to-go as package only included silverware.
Be the first to ReplyWaited 30 min with the restaurant more than half empty.
4 other parties waited with us, all ended up leaving. The staff greeted us after 10 min of us standing there and said "we will be right with you" 20 min later we left. We couldn't even order online because it said it was too busy but the place was very quiet.
Be the first to ReplyBird Pepper can be encapsulated by looking at their Pad
Bird Pepper can be encapsulated by looking at their Pad Thai. The dish is ubiquitous among so many restaurants, and acts as a fantastic barometer for the general quality of the food served. At Bird Pepper the dish went above and beyond the standard faire, and had a character that was more complex than i would have expected. The smoky flavor made it stand out in my mind over many others. Similarly the other dishes had a depth of spiciness that actually enhanced flavor rather than simply being hot for hot's sake. The bar and drinks were visually impressive, however the value proposition just didn't gel for me. In contrast to the food, the drinks were expensive and i found lacking. The service was expedient, and this was just as dinner rush was coming in on a weekend. The design of the space itself is delightfully open despite the small space; the upstairs seating looking out over bay windows also lights the place well and give it an open vibe. I could see the place getting potentially noisy, but our crowd was quiet and respectful. Overall i enjoyed the experience and would happily return

This place is so good every time and has a great happy hour deal! Food is super good and comes out quickly. I got the Bird Pepper Margarita which sounded really good, but the taste of cheap tequila really ruined the flavor. The food is so good I'm not bothered by the taste of the drink! Don't forget to ask for some extra pickled chili peppers on the side for extra heat and tang

Crab wontons 3/5 -- too much cream cheese (or maybe I'm just not a fan?) Crispy Garlic Chicken 4/5 -- flavorful but just a bit dry Parking is easy (can park at Nordstorm garage for a 5 min walk). Ambiance is nice inside if a little busy.
Be the first to ReplyVisited this restaurant after almost 2 years now.
We were too hungry for appetizers and went main course. We got Thai ice tea and life is a peach mocktails. Have to say didn't really like both of them and might not order again. We got pineapple curry fried rice, panang curry and drunken noodles. All with chicken and spice level 3 because we had a friend who can't take the heat at ALL. The panang curry was my absolute favorite and was totally delicious. Didn't come with rice which I thought was weird but we ordered anyway. Pineapple curry fried rice add pretty good but could have had a tad more curry flavor I think. While the drunken noodle tasted very good we got lot of big noodle chunks which were but undercooked but not too many. Overall pretty good experience and will try again sometime later
Be the first to ReplyAte here for lunch today (4/01/22).
ย Arrived at 1:30 PM and got seated promptly. ย Took a look at the mobile menu to order our food. ย For our drinks, got a Jasmine Tea and a Thai Iced Coffee. ย We aso got the Summer Rolls, Yellow Curry with Chicken, a Som Tum Papaya Salad, and a Bangkok Chicken, all 4 Stars for the spice level. ย When we got the food, everything tasted delicious! ย The Papaya Salad tasted spicier than 4 stars, though. ย The other entrees weren't that spicy even at 4. ย But the food had great flavor and seasoning! ย We were pleasantly satisfied with what we drank and ate!!!
