Teppan Edo Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
Not worth the price.
Food is decent, but the price is inflated. Go to Kobe instead.
Food was delicious, service was great, our cook was
Food was delicious, service was great, our cook was amazing, very entertaining, casual and very busy, I'm sorry but our waitress spoke too fast and you couldn't understand more than half of what she was saying, have the time she had to show us, but overall a great experience!
Disney fun but the food is, well a typical hibachi.
We had to book roughly 5 days ahead for a prime time dinner spot so keep that in mind! The restaurant itself was very clean and all the staff were very helpful and nice. The menu was broad enough for most people to find something to eat as well which is helpful in a place like Disney! We went for the hibachi as it sounded like a dun thing to do after drinking around the world, well you can't have a bad time with dinner and a little show right? The dinner was fun to watch and they made lots of Disney references which made everyone at the table laugh and have a good time, my only gripe was the food was a little generic tasting and small portions. For the price of the meal I really expected more, I rarely finish my plate at hibachi spots locally but here I was still hungry after finishing my meal! At any rate, the food was good enough and it was a pleasant experience, it just fell a bit short for me is all.
Good fun teppanyaki
Teppanyaki tables with all the fun of the chef preparing your food at the table and making a steaming volcano out of onion and a moving train. Freshly made teppanyaki cooked food. Lots of big tables but still felt intimate.
Great meal, don't be late.
I was here with two other families, so we had three reservations, two for four people and one for five. My husband was called for Guardians so him and my older son went to ride it. Our dinner reservations were at 4:50 p.m. and at that time he was just getting on the ride. At most Disney restaurants they will accommodate lateness, but my friends and I joked because this is Japan, they don't tolerate it. They told me I could wait for him, but they couldn't guarantee how long it would take for our family to be seated. Since they have to start 8 people at the same time per table, it makes sense that we could be stuck waiting for another opening of four. I decided he made his bed and could now lie in it, so my younger son and I joined our friend's reservation and my husband and older son were out of luck. I got the shrimp hibachi and like my earlier review said, it's a lot less food than other hibachi places. I wasn't hungry and I could have probably finished the whole meal. I also got a drink that was shochu with freshly squeezed grapefruit. I didn't know this, but they bring you the fruit for you to squeeze yourself! I found that pretty funny. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the noodles were really good. My 3-year-old ate both. I like the performance and the fans overhead make sure the seating area doesn't get smokey at all. I will keep coming back here, but next time I'll make sure my husband doesn't try to make a last minute ride.
Hibachi is my favorite style of food.
Despite being a local, this was my first time here. I ordered a spicy roll as an appetizer and salmon as my entree. The food was fantastic....a lot less butter and salt than you normally get with hibachi which i thought was great. Our Chef was a master of his craft for sure! Our chefs skill level compared to a typical hibachi restaurant, in my opinion, was superior.... You are definitely paying "Disney prices" but when the food and experience is this good, the price is less a concern...
First off, I have been wanting to go here for a long time.
I am glad I finally did!! The ambiance is typical Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant, a little tight to move around, but pleasant enough. Service? Holy cow the service is the best I have ever had! SUPER friendly, SUPER attentive, just all around, SUPER! The wait staff is super professional, patient, and all around AMAZING!! The food is...wow. The one thing I didn't really eat that much was the white rice, but it was good regardless. I did the combo of steak and shrimp. I was NOT disappointed. The dessert of the mango mousse cake was sweet, but not too much. I hate to use the word perfect, but that is exactly what this place is! We will definitely be making this a must do location for us from now on!!
Better than average hibachi experience
Four of us dined for dinner here. The service was good and the food was good as well. One of us has volcano roll, which was a sushi dish grilled on the hibachi. I have never seen that before and apparently it was very good. We all had some form of steak, steak with shrimp steak with chicken or just steak. I did add on a Side dish of the mushrooms, which were very good. The desserts were underwhelming at best. The most disappointing aspect of the meal was the extremely loud atmosphere which was deafening. There are four hibachi tables in each dining room each with eight people at the table. The 32 people in there sounded like 132 people. I’m not really sure why everyone had to scream and yell to enjoy their meal. I suppose if you can put up with that aspect it is a good place to dine.

A really fun Hibachi place in Epcot! Came here with a party of 4. They were very organized and quick to seat us down. After getting our order in, drinks were first served out, then the chef came out. The Hibachi chef was very funny and entertaining. The servers were very friendly. They even gave my friend a small gift after hearing that she graduated recently. Very worth it. Good place to go to!
An entertaining experience! The food is always delicious
An entertaining experience! The food is always delicious and prepared right in front of you. The staff is always super friendly. It's kind of loud inside but I'm always busy watching the chef cook! Try the violet sake!
I got the Yasai entree that came with a salad, udon
I got the Yasai entree that came with a salad, udon noodles, and fried vegetables. It was surprisingly well seasoned and the mushrooms were super delicious for some reason. Maybe they marinated it? Pina colada: a bit in the sweeter side, especially at the end but it was still really good. Matcha ice cream: nothing too special, it was ok. Mango mouse: it was ok as well but a bit more on the sweeter side. It was communal seating which I wasn't expecting but that's ok. The servers and chefs all all really nice and cute. The chef made cute jokes while cooking but I assume it was scripted since I saw other chefs doing and saying the same thing.
Food, drinks, accommodation for vegetarian, & polytarian
Food, drinks, accommodation for vegetarian, & polytarian etc Drinks are delicious Chicken is delicious especially with soy sauce as a dipping, and their variation of ginger sauce. So delicious. Such a great experience. I'm a frequent customer while in Disney. I have been multiple times and each experience was amazing. Even my picky 6 year old loved the chicken cooked habachi style with soy sauce etc. and liked it a lot ! My fav Japanese restaurant on the US's East Coast. There is nothing comparable in my city and state, alike. Service is great as well. Ambiance is perfection. Cannot wait to go back. Well worth the wait for me as I live out of state.
NO FRIED RICE AT A HIBACHI RESTAURANT!!!
The food was great, I can’t deny that. But, they lost a star because they have no fried rice! What kind of Hibachi restaurant doesn’t have fried rice as an option! The mouse really dropped the ball on this one!
Wonderful, beautiful scenery with amazing food and amazing service
Me and my family had an amazing experience here, the food is just as amazing as the show they put on for you when they make it. The atmosphere and employees were very nice, and thank you again for the origami Yomi it’s almost as beautiful as you.
What can I say but I LOVE this place!!! I go every year for
What can I say but I LOVE this place!!! I go every year for my birthday. The food is always AMAZING and the customer service is also AMAZING!!! You can tell they love what they do!!!
Great experience overall.
The service was on point. Worth every penny. Authentic Japanese. I can't believe I've been going to Epcot for so many years and never eaten here. Highly recommend.
Worth a try at least once! Shogun style table show.
Better than average with great results food wise! Service was great too!!
After a few years, we decided to try Teppan endo again!
After a few years, we decided to try Teppan endo again! Same great service and food as last time! There was no wait, so we were sat quickly! Definitely will go back next time we visit Epcot!
Great service (friendly) and Great noodles! Our
Great service (friendly) and Great noodles! Our granddaughters liked the Teppanyaki show. But all else was mediocre; the chicken was low quality, dry / old, bland. The scallops were bad; small, and tasted old (and expensive). The Sake Mojito was also tasteless. Not a place to return; nor to even go if someone had alerted me. A waste of time, calories and insulting to our taste buds. Ambiance is Disney crowd management style.
The food is average to us.
The quality of the beef is on the lower side. It tastes grainy and over sauced. The chicken doesn't have much flavor inside but lots of sauce on the surface. Same as the vegetables stir fry noodle. Overall the food is on the salty side.
These types of hibachi/teppan yaki restaurants are really
These types of hibachi/teppan yaki restaurants are really not my thing. Too much mediocre food in my experience and the show doesn't do much for me. That said, when someone suggested Teppan Edo for dinner I was intrigued, as maybe my son would like it. Disney is also the safest place to try this kind of place, given his severe dairy allergy (even butter). Walking up the stairs to get in is the way to go, as it's a pretty cool entrance. Reservations were backed up a bit however we got seated 15min late. Service was very good, as you would expect from both Disney and this type of restaurant in general. Our chef was a bit slower than some of the others nearby, however she did a good job cooking and was very nice. Got the Momo Whiskey Sour and it was unremarkable; would recommend going the sake route instead. I got the steak and shrimp, which came with a garden salad, udon noodles, veggies and white rice. The salad was a good rendition of the typical ginger dressing. The udon were more impressive; I usually hate udon however these were freshly made and soaked up the sauce they made nicely. Veggies themselves were very good. Shrimp were good however they did rely on butter (cooked after my son's); steak was better than expected and done to a perfect rare even if it wasn't the best cut of meat. Not sure why they gave so many sides of different extra sauces, however it was a nice--albeit unnecessary--touch. Portion size was the most restrained of any place like this I've been to; that said, there was ample food to be full. Most importantly, my son loved the show as well as the food. Obviously I liked the place. Kind of surprised how much too. After spending too much time at Via Napoli over the years, this might be the new move.
So good we went back again!
Absolutely fantastic restaurant we loved it so much we went twice! The staff really lovely. Always looking after you and checking in. Making sure you had refills and so on. Chefs fantastic. Really immersive experience. The food was fantastic and my steak and shrimp cooked perfectly. Chefade a really big deal of it being our first visit to America and Disney which was really sweet. I wish we had stuff like this in the UK. Really want to go again. Will definitely be booking when we come back
My hubby likes coming here and Food here is always pretty
My hubby likes coming here and Food here is always pretty decent. My issue on our last visit was the seating arrangement. We were a party of two and had asked to sit on the end where there were two seats. At first they denied us that but eventually told us OK.
This dining experience inside the Japan pavilion at EPCOT
This dining experience inside the Japan pavilion at EPCOT is hibachi style. Admittedly it's not my favorite hibachi in the Orlando area, but if you're going to be inside the theme park and you want hibachi it's definitely not bad. Our chef was fun and was able to accommodate a few allergies at our table very easily. Meals come with noodles/veggie mix, white rice, a salad and your meat choice. It's a cool experience for the little ones to watch the meal be cooked at the table, so that's a plus too. One of the reasons that this restaurant doesn't get a 4-5 is because I just felt like my food was ok, nothing special especially for the price.
Teppan Edo is a staple in the Japanese Pavillion of Epcot.
The staff, dressed in the traditional kimono wardrobe, seat you to enjoy a Habachi style dinner and also offer a full sushi experience in a separate restaurant next door. Make a reservation to avoid long wait times. If you order the hibachi dinner, you choose what meats/proteins you would like grilled by the tableside chef over an open flame hibachi grill (shichirin) 火鉢 with vegetables and a side of white rice. The sauce choices are a yum yum sauce, ginger-onion based sauce, and soy sauce. The chicken and shrimp is a full serving, plated at your seat in front of you. The shrimp and chicken were cooked well, and the sautéed vegetables were well seasoned and juicy with flavor. If you prefer thicker noodles (in comparison to lo mein), you'll enjoy the udon that comes with your meal. Expect a decent sized crowd, and full tables in the evening, the ambiance is busy, family friendly, loud and lively. You will be seated with others if you have a party of 2-3, because the tables seat about 8 guests. Enjoy the shops and firework show (in the evening) downstairs on your way out! Rating: 6.5/10
Yummy Japanese Restaurant Choice in Epcot
This restaurant reminded me of a Hibachi restaurant at a top notch level. The restaurant seats 8 patrons around the cooking surface/table, so you may make some new friends while dining. The food and drink quality are at a high level—I enjoyed saki and a cocktail and they were both excellent. My husband and I upgraded to the higher level of steak and it was tender, delicious and cooked to our preference. In addition, the sushi sampler was fresh and delicious as well as all the other courses we had. Please note, that there are several tables in a large room and it can be a bit loud. There were children of many different ages in the room but no one was crying—they all seemed to enjoy the cooking show and the fun demonstrations from the chef. There is a children’s menu available.
Not what I remembered
Twenty years ago this spot used to be our special go to for the end of our vacations at Disney with many memorable meals. Fast forward to last week, and I didn’t even recognize the place. The beautiful curtains and wall hangings were replaced by sterile walls that only made the place sound like an echo chamber and look like the minimalist space that has become modern Disney. The portions were tiny, salad dressing was bitter, and the prices were exorbitant compared to the value of the meal. We now have hibachi in our little hometown in Kentucky, which I hate to say, is better than Teppan Edo. Just sad.😢.
Disappointed
I have had two great experiences here but this time chefs not entertaining, food was undercooked and not flavourful. Not sure what has changed with this restaurant but hopefully it returns to old self.
Bad
DO NOT GO TO LATE DINNING. This means anywhere from 8:30-9PM. They will NOT serve you. The food is great but not if you are going to dinner. Beware and it does not matter if any rides were detained or broken. And not cast members knew the restaurant’s number so we can contact them or the dining reservations number did not have the number or guest services. I ran with my handicapped mother, and the man@ the restaurant said nope we can not seat you as we are closed!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
