Be the first to ReplyThe best Greek food in Santorini.
Great Greek food. We were a party of 4, and each one ordered different Greek food and all of them were delicious. It has been one of the best restaurants in Santorini.
Be the first to ReplyVery hearty dishes and very tasty grilled meats without forgetting the little cherry jam ๐
A still traditional place run by a welcoming family who never ceases to please.

We were there out of season, extremely quiet, ultra fast service, smiling waiter, unfortunately there is no draft beer, the dishes are copious, the prices very reasonable
Be the first to ReplyLunch at the Tavern
This tavern is located before Megalochori on the road that connects with the "main" one that leads (on the right) to Fira, Imerovigli, Oia. Being just outside the town at lunchtime there wasn't the slightest trace of tourism, nor "throwaways". So we ventured out. Lunch began with typical Greek appetizers: broad bean puree, tomato meatballs and stuffed vegetables. All good (without excelling). Afterwards we tasted a delicious Moussaka. Although similar to this one, the Pastitsio is more disappointing. Conclusion worthy of applause with yogurt with honey and Baklava. The bill was quite honest. An extra point for the environment and the Greek authenticity of the place.
Be the first to ReplyVery good and affordable
Fresh products, fast service, I recommend The pieces in the Greek salad were a little big but that's a detail

Traditional Greek restaurant! Doesn't look like much but welcome and local specialties! Adorable owners! A little sweet touch made from grapes and honey! A delight
Be the first to ReplyA nice Greek experience
Very quaint Tavern with extremely friendly owners. Food was great, prices good. We had their homemade wine and it was good. Parking may be a challenge as with most places. You can see the water but it isnโt a great view. Authentic Greek food.

Everything was microwaved. Meat waa flavourless and dry. All dishes drenched in oil. The worst restaurant we had in GRC
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic traditional greek food
We are fans of good, honest traditional greek food and didn't think we would find anywhere in Santorini that did it. How wrong we were. This is a wonderful "blue and white" taverna and is used a lot by the locals, always a good sign. It's family owned and they are so friendly. The menu is good, we'd particularly recommend any of the grilled dishes and also the soutsouzakia which was very good. The prices are incredibly reasonable, approx 40 to 45 euros for two main dishes, half a litre of house win and a few Mythos' We enjoyed it that much that it became or go to taverna so much so that we ate here around six or seven times. On google maps the taverna looks a little out of the way but in reality it is probably approximately a five minute stroll from the centre of the village of Megalochori. We would certainly recommend that you visit and will definitely go back if in Megalochori in the future

Have been visiting Megalachori for many years and always passed this taverna by. What a mistake that was. The food is excellent. Beautiful, fresh, traditional food. Price makes it easier incredibly good value. Cannot recommend enough
Be the first to ReplyOur local go toโฆ.for Authentic Greek Cuisine
We eat at the Tzanakis Family Restaurant , every time we go to Santorini, because the food is wonderful, the Family is so welcoming and to cap it all, the prices are very reasonable! If you are in Megalochori and you walk past this restaurant, then you will have missed a little gem!! We will be back in October! Mark and Jane.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful local, family operated restaurant
While my gyro plate was delicious, what really made this place was the family who operates the restaurant. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, even the cook came out and wished us a good meal. A local band also strolled past the restaurant and came inside to play a few songs. If youโre looking for an authentic Santorini meal that is a bit of the beaten path of tourists, this is a great option.
Be the first to ReplyFamily style, best traditional Greek food experience
Best traditional Greek food experience had on Santorini .. stuffed tomatoes and fava best on Santorini. Low key family style restaurant
Be the first to ReplyLocal and Quaint
Food was good traditional Greek cuisine run by a family, father, mother, son, daughter and grandpa were all working hard. Close to our hotel, Vedema, so wanted to give it a try. Glad we came here for dinner. Price reasonable. June 18
Be the first to ReplyGreat family run restaurant!
My wife and I initially walked past, but the owner was so polite when we said we will try it another night. We decided to turn around and give it a go. What a great decision! The mother and father do the cooking and the son looks after the table service. The food portions are very big. The food was delicious. We recommend the home made wine too! We ended up eating here 3 nights out of 7. The value for money is incredible. But what made it for us most of all, was that they were so grateful of the business. They are slightly out of the village, but definitely worth finding them. It always tells me a lot about the place when the locals also use it. Nice vibe.
