Great Asian food
We had a fantastic dining experience at Tao. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and really got to know us during our meal. The food was fantastic with a large variety of options to suit all tastes. We shared multiples dishes as a table and all were well prepared, arrived in a timely fashion and delicious. The prices are high but the good food, large portion sizes and exceptional service make it worthwhile. One thing, this is a club/restaurant atmosphere so it is lively and noisy. If you’re looking for a quiet dinner this isn’t the best option.

We haven’t been here in several years and are glad we visited them again. The place was packed on a Sunday night. Food was great! Wonderful atmosphere and great food options from steak to sushi to fish entrees
Be the first to ReplyAn awful dining experience.
Tao is a trendy place with some really good food and scenery. However, on my trip, our table for 8 was situated on a through route for restaurant staff and diners heading to the restrooms, resulting in dozens, if not hundreds, of people to squeeze between my seat and the person backing onto me at the next table. I did not get more than 2 minutes without someone knocking my chair, sometimes quite severely. As I say, the food was fine, but it was very noisy and dark in the main restaurant which also made for an uncomfortable dining experience. I couldn’t hear my friends at the table, and could hardly see them. I’d say the service was good, but some of the waiting staff were also bumping into my chair as well. After a couple of hours being bumped, you just can’t take it anymore. Personally, I will not be going back.
Be the first to ReplyToo noisy,
This place was areal let down as it’s just too noisy, and it’s like sitting in a canteen with tonnes of people. We couldn’t hear ourselves! The wrong food was delivered to our table twice also. They moved us to a booth at the front, just found it disappointing esp as pretty expensive.
Be the first to ReplyFANTASTIC food and EXCEPTIONAL service!
EXCELLENT service! The food was absolutely delicious but it was the thoughtful, attentive service that was exceptional. Huge shout out to our server JP - his suggestions were literally spot on - and his service was possibly the best we’ve received in all of Vegas. Larry (who brought our appetizers and then entrees) was also very helpful. And then the young man who was constantly refilling our water glasses and cleaning away our multiple plates, super polite and helpful too. Kudos to your team Tao!! The food as I mentioned was so good!!! We had so much and everything was delicious, my favorite was the duck fried rice and chicken gyoza. I should add that we were there on Christmas Eve when I imagine most restaurant staff would prefer to be with their friends and family. And yet our service was still exceptional!
Be the first to ReplyTao does not honor reservations
Tao does not honor reservations. Showed up promptly for reservations made a month ago. They said to wait till I got a text which arrived 15 minutes later. I confirmed I was there as instructed but we were never seated. We had to leave without eating after nearly an hour of waiting to get to a show on time. What a s&&1t show this place is.
Be the first to ReplyRACIST. Never again!
My black & brown brothers and sisters RUN— this is not the place we should spend our money! If I could give 0 stars I would. I arrived with a group of friends at TAO Nightclub to celebrate a friend’s birthday and was treated as if we were not welcomed as soon as we arrived. Mitch— “Head of Security” (when asked his full name I was told that his first name was “all I needed to know”) should be fired. When a situation arises with a customer, the best way to handle it is always speaking and having a conversation not treating the customer as if they are not even a human being. It was very clear that not only were these people racist but they were also colorist as well. We were told various lies as to why we were not allowed in after purchasing a table. After this horrible experience, I will never spend a dime at TAO ever again. As a frequent Vegas traveler, I will support other local nightclubs such as Zouk at Resorts World or Drai’s at the Cromwell. As for the Venetian, I expected better from an establishment located in your resort- Do better.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, service could have been better
The design of this place is worth seeing! I loved the colors and overall atmosphere. Our food was delicious but unfortunately the service was lacking on the night we were there. Our server was very friendly and helpful at first but then he disappeared. The restaurant was pretty crowded on the night we were there so maybe that was the issue so I'd suggest maybe going for lunch or during an off-time.
Be the first to ReplyTao… WOW!
I visited Vegas with family in October. We had the pork potstickers to start (sadly they were so good I forgot to take a picture!), miso glazed sea bass (this is PHENOMENAL), then we shared a special sushi toro roll and then had some DIVINE salted caramel gelato to finish. We were served by Jacob who was very friendly, very helpful in giving his opinions and made the experience better by taking the time to talk to us and recommend a few things to do locally.

Food was bland and was charged $4.50 for tap water. Won’t go again and wouldn’t recommend. The waiter was overly fake sweet.

Great vibe and drinks. We had a meeting dinner in their upstairs room after drinks on the mezzanine. Spectacular decor. The food was average to good. A Peking duck slicing station was disappointing with very greasy duck in a thin wrapper without any scallion/hoisin sauce. Additional chafing dish options included a strange fried rice, hamburger sliders, and a decent raw oyster bar. Service is wonderful and attentive.

We were in Vegas and this was on the list for my daughter and her friend. They did not disappoint! It was also our anniversary and they brought a serving of delicious strawberry sorbet to share. The food was wonderful. We got the stuffed flounder and it was divine. Will definitely go again. The portions were large enough for the four of us to share and still had leftovers.

I love Tao! The dinner is so yummy and the nightclub is fun too! Although it’s a large establishment, the sushi is extremely fresh. I went here for a business dinner and the sushi platters were more than enough for everyone and the desert was so yummy!

Walking by and decided to stop for some apps. Sat in the lounge took a minute to get service but once we got a server everything was great. Enjoyed the sizzling soy sauce chicken and pot stickers. Both were good. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was nice. Glad we stopped in and would not hesitate to return, however with so many places to choose from prob would try something else before a second visit.
Be the first to ReplyAlways a favorite when in Vegas or NY
Each couple ordered a few appetizers then split entrees—chicken lettuce a little spicy, edamame, orange chicken, etc-all good and the large fortune cookie is enough for the table!
Be the first to ReplyTerrible service!!
No complaints with the food, it was great! Very cool atmosphere. But our server (Jacob) was TERRIBLE! He walked past us multiple times when we were trying to get his attention. Never checked on us. Not friendly AT ALL. Completely ruined the experience for us.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and service in a very cool setting
Cocktails were great, food was awesome, setting was stunning. Really great experience made all the better by our server Justin who was super helpful and answered all our stupid questions!! He really added to our experience and I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible Service Great Food
Service was really rude. They didn't have our reservation, so the sat us at the bar. After 1 hour our food didn't arrive so we asked the waitress to check on our food. Her answer was... If you are in a rush you should go to Panda Express. All the Service terrible in general
Be the first to ReplyThink twice before making a reservation
Great food, disappointing experience. After waiting for our table reservation for 40 minutes we’ve decided to order food at the bar. We were suggested to go to Panda Express if we want fed the food before one hour. Imagine that!!! No way I’m coming back
Be the first to ReplyTerrible care from the bar and doorman (others were fine)
Terrible attitude from one of the team on the door who was obstructive e.g., making us walk around a cordon when there was no queue, and then the barman ignored us for 5 mins until we persisted, and he said the bar was closed and had no idea of the night club cost - really didn’t care so we left and took our $$$ elsewhere. Shame as we are guests at the Venetian so that should count for something…needs to improve training
Be the first to ReplyWow! huge Buddha idol, excellent ambiance and great food.
excellent food and a beautiful ambiance. Loved all their seafood entrees. Excellent service but you have to have a reservation for the reaturant.
Be the first to ReplyNothing but goodness
This was our 3rd or 4th time at Tao in the Venetian, and it is nothing but one of the best restaurants on the Strip. On the Dim Sum menu, the Peiking Duck rolls are incredible - if you don't order anything but that you'll be fine, although the Steamed Veg Dumplings were great as well. My wife likes those more than I do - it's a texture thing with me. For entrees we do Sushi, and this time we did the chef's roll and spicy tuna roll, both of which were outstanding. Service was impeccable as always, and the ambiance, while it does get a little noisy, was perfectly fine given the fact that there is never a table empty.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service, good food
Pretty good food overall, they were great with my son's 21st birthday with a Sake and desert on the house for him. We asked to sit with a view of the Buddha and we were under the buddha next to the dish collection area. Asked to move and were told we couldn't be accommodated but there were tons of open tables. But good service and food. Portions are small. FYI
Be the first to ReplyLoud music
Ate dinner at Tao restaurant tonight and the DJ playing the music was WAY TOO LOUD!!! While the food was good as usual, our dinner was not enjoyable because we could not carry on a conversation at our table. Please lower the volume.
Be the first to ReplyYum but everything else questionable
To start, the food was absolutely delicious however everything else is wrong about this place Ok so it’s a restaurant club so I get why there is music in there but mid week when it’s just a restaurant please turn the music down so you don’t have to shout at each other! Also it might help the waiting staff hear the orders AND get you the food you actually want! Likewise I understand that when it’s a club on the weekend the lighting would be kept low…. But in the week when it’s a restaurant and 70%of the clients have to use the flashlight on their mobile phones to read the menu….. I’d say that is a CLEAR SIGN that the music volume needs to go down. The weird lady standing behind our server glaring at us and smiling periodically was just odd! If she was training our server or she was a trainee shadowing our server then that’s fine….. but take the time to explain that to the customer otherwise she just looked like a strange stalker! (Equally if she was training or being trained there was no way she could either hear (music) or see (lighting issue) what was going on. The service was really really slow, but what eventually came was for the most part absolutely tasty Final grumble….. and it’s a biggy….. this place is sooooo expensive. One main, one side of plain rice, one cocktail cost $70. It’s pretty much the same accross the board in Vegas…. Maybe there has been a ‘double your price policy’ put in place at all restaurants, bars, hotels & amenities in vegas ….. I get the pandemic has caused issues but prices really are ridiculous
