Taj Palace Indian Cuisine Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year

My buds and I decided to try Taj Palace 9530 S Eastern Ave, Ste 180, Las Vegas, NV 89123 for dinner. I have reviewed many Indian restaurants and know what to expect, but my buds has little experience. Walking in at 8:30 PM, the restaurant was 1/2 full and there was a large line of to go orders on a counter. We were greeted by a very nice person named Yogi. He told us to sit where we wanted and the dinner experience began. I decided to order lamb curry, butter chicken, rice kheer, and my favorite-onion naan. Everything was spectacular and cooked fresh. Bottled waters were provided for our thirst and Yogi told us about the daily lunch buffet. The restaurant was very clean, everyone was so helpful and worked as a team. I was really impressed with their focus on customer service. It should be noted the restaurant has won many awards for excellence. Two days later at 11 AM we came back and tried the lunch buffet. All I can say is-what a feast. There was tandoori chicken, curry, naan, goat dish, salads, desserts and fresh cut watermelon. This restaurant was almost at capacity by 12:30 PM with families and diners. My buds kept saying; "This is Wunaful Wunaful food!" I agree with him AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Taj Palace! Honestly, it is one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to.
food was great, Yogi gave us some great recommendations.
everything came out quick, and the service was great as well!
Most delicious biryani in the USA.
Staff are super polite and friendly. Complimentary bottled water and snack were a big plus. Super clean and cute decor. Highly recommend.

Great food, friendly service, a wonderful hang out spot for locals that enjoy indian cuisine.
Great food and a great service.
Yogi is excellent in what he does. I usually always write just about the food but here I have to mention that Yogi deserves a special mention because his attendance to us and his warm style of conversation just made the entire dinner experience just like above and beyond. Anyone clueless about what to eat must ask him for recommendation as he really knows the food at this place.
Authentic Indian food.
. Our server Yogi was courteous, attentive and professional... very nice decor........ Will surely return.................
Food is always amazing.
Our waiter today his name was Yogi. He was absolutely fantastic. We love this place. We always come here and our son who now lives in California, this place is a must when he comes for a visit.
Quick lunch buffet with the hubby.
. food was delicious, place is clean and staff was attentive! Definitely recommend!
One of the best restaurants in Las Vegas.
The waiter was very kind and attentive while we ate. The food is a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth it. I ordered the Chef Signature Coconut Chicken Curry and it was the most delicious Indian food I've ever eaten. I only ordered a spice level four, but I will definitely try spicier the next time I come.

Probably drove by here 100 times and finally stopped in with a large group for a family dinner with out of town guests. Food was excellent. Drinks excellent. Very glad we decided to stop in and will definitely be back.
Delicious food and good variety on the buffet.
Staff are attentive and friendly. Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated.

Unless you're going to the buffet in the afternoon I would not suggest going to their restaurant if you're in any sort of a hurry. As a delivery driver they are so slow in getting us our orders that I now refuse to pick up there. I'm sure the service for the buffet since you get to pick it is just fine. But don't be in a rush if you want to go here they just don't care about how long it takes to get you your food

The dining experience at this establishment offers a balanced blend of flavors and ambiance. While the spices may be slightly milder compared to some, it caters well to a wider palate. Their lunch sampler option provides a fantastic opportunity to explore various dishes, allowing patrons to find personal favorites. The okra and marsala dishes particularly stand out for their delicious flavors, although the tandoori chicken could benefit from a bolder taste profile to elevate the overall dining experience. Despite being a tad pricey, the combination of great atmosphere and quality food makes it a worthwhile indulgence in my opinion. Though the prices may lean towards the higher end, the quality of food and inviting ambiance justify the expense. The lunch sampler is a commendable option for those eager to explore the menu, showcasing the establishment's diverse offerings. While some dishes could use a bit more seasoning, the overall experience remains satisfying, making it a noteworthy dining destination.

Taj Palace is fantastic! The service was quick, efficient, and friendly. The good? So good! The chicken saag was so flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth, and the spicy vindaloo had amazing flavor. Not too spicy either (we had a 5 and it had some kick, but wasn't "burn your mouth off" hot). Highly recommend.

Best chicken Saag in the world!! Service is friendly and attentive. Restaurant is clean and the dishes are fresh
Had the lunch buffet and water there, by myself.
Bill was $20.84!!!! For Lunch! Save your money and find a less expensive Indian restaurant.

This was our first time ever here and ever trying Indian food. This place did not disappoint. We were instantly treated by a young gentleman who pointed us to our table. We were told that he would get us the garlic naan and the butter naan since we had never had either before. The food was an incredible start to our journey of Indian cuisine. This place had amazing music playing, the lights were very on brand, and the tables were incredibly comfortable by not being too close to one another. This place was incredible and we will definitely be coming back for this amazing lunch buffet!
Always a great experience.
Sam is the best Along with the rest of the staff always a pleasure.
Found this place on Yelp and wanted to try it out instead
Found this place on Yelp and wanted to try it out instead of driving all the way to Mt. Everest which I usually get my Indian food. I clicked on the order link on Yelp and proceeded to put my order and paid for it (around $112 with tip, Mar 11). When I got to the place to pick up my order, to my dismay I was told that they didn't get my order because it by default it goes to their original location which I was not aware of. The waitress called their manager, and he told me, I can place the same order because he guarantees to me that the authorization for the order I placed would not even go through because they don't even use the online system at the original place at all. He even guaranteed me that if both authorizations go through, he would refund me and not to worry. Thanking him for not having to drive all the way to Eastern (Henderson), I placed the same order but giving more tip (total now around $116). Got my food and thought things would work out as he said. Lo and behold both authorizations go through. After a few days, I came back to show him both went through. He took pictures of my receipt and statements on my credit card's app and told me he will send it to the manager to get it sorted out. Since I know it takes time, I gave it about a week and almost 2 weeks to see it processed, yet nothing happened. I came back to see him again and he looked at me and remembered why I was there and told me the owner is in India and I have to come back after Apr 16. I told him, how about just placing the same order I got and just credit me that way but he told me he still needs to get the owner's permission, took a picture of the receipt again. Came back Apr 19, and of course he remembers me but knows nothing has happened, took picture of the charges again and calls the owner and promises me it will be take care of in an hour. Guess what, nothing. It is now 2 days later, and nothing has happened. Well, they can have the money, but they just lost me as a customer. Although the food was good, it was not as good as Mt. Everest and I'll just take the extra drive knowing they seem to be trustworthy than this place. If you guarantee someone and tell them you will refund them if it doesn't work out, make sure you have the authority to do so. It is dishonest say that you will and then turn around and pawn it to the owner to make the decision. You said it right there and then. I even ask to just get the same order to make it easier rather than getting a refund. If you didn't want to refund me, you should not give me the run-around.
My 1st Indian cuisine experience in Vegas and I must say it
My 1st Indian cuisine experience in Vegas and I must say it was amazing. I ordered the VEGETABLE SAMOSA for an appetizer. They were so fluffy, full of flavor with a slight spicy kick which I personally love! I also had a LAMB KORMA very creamy and complimented the GARLIC NAAN perfectly! Service was great from the time I walked in until I left I was greeted and thanked once I left. I'll also add the place was quite clean. It's the little things for me‼
Good Indian food.
Heard about their buffet and went for that. Was disappointed that it is only for lunch. Stayed for dinner and was not disappointed though. Food was out quickly and was quite tasty. Spice levels are from 1-10 and they escalate pretty quickly, so if you like spicy, anything above a 5 is going to fit the bill (IMO). The naan bread was excellent. Tried the Chicken Tika Masala, Chicken Khoura and a couple other dishes. All were excellent. Indian food can seem dry and overcooked at times. This was not and was all quite good. Service was pretty good and priced similarly to other Indian food I've had. Seemed to have a very expansive menu with lots of vegetarian options (Indian food generally does though, right?). They also brought out a complimentary chickpea pastry/cracker with some very tasty dipping sauces prior to the main meal. All in all, was a good experience with tasty food and pretty good service. Ambience was nice, too. Will go again for sure.
Great new location!
We had supper at the new Taj Palace on W Lake Mead Blvd at Hwy 95. We both really enjoyed it! We ordered Tiki Masala and garlic Nan we look forward to trying other dishes soon!
If they are busy and you are solo. Don't go unless you are prepared for a wait.
If it is a busy time, don't do. They seat everyone with more than one person before they will seat someone by themselves even if the others came well after the single. I see the preference for them that they get more money by seating multiple people rather than one person. The food is good. If you go during the week when the place is empty you will get a seat. Just don't go on a weekend unless you are prepared to wait while every multiple person group moves ahead of you.
Good food - not so good service.
Food: 5 stars. Delicious chicken Marsala, rice and Nan. Service: 1 star - service crew always grim and unfriendly. Appearance/Dining room: 3 stars.
Below expectation
Food: 3 star. Small portions. Pricey. Not as good compared to other Indian restaurants. Service: 3 star Ambience: 0 Average restaurant. Does not deserve my 4 star rating.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
