Sushi Seki Times Square New York Reviews from The Last Year
For something light and delicious Japanese fare but fast
For something light and delicious Japanese fare but fast and efficient service, this place is a place to go. Though the prices are on the expensive side, the taste of their food made it worthwhile. Their sushi are fresh and didn't taste fish. Their udon soup is succulent and mouth watering. They have a cocktail called Ryo and it was sweet and divine. Don't remember what's actually in it. The restaurant also have a tasting menu for $125. We opted not since the place closes at 10:30pm and we got there late. Come early and enjoy the pleasant ambiance it exudes.
What a great little place.
It wasn't overly loud and the service was excellent. My husband is not a fan of sushi and there were several options for him. He had the miso cod. I had the tofu appetizer, edamame, the waygu skewer with truffle salt. All were absolutely excellent with the steak being the big winner. I also ordered pieces of salmon and egg sushi. Best I have ever eaten. I highly recommend and will be back when I'm back in town.
Perfect location with some of the best sashimi we ever had.
Beautiful setting, great service and around the corner from broadway shows. Will definitely repeat when we visit NY again
Had a pre theater dinner at this restaurant.
Food was good, ambience was good and the waitstaff were good. They even asked if we had a theater show to get to and made sure we got our meals with plenty of time to relax and enjoy. I had the chicken yakitori appetizer which was beautifully cooked and had just the right amount of sauce, plus a green salad which was nicely done. Others in my group had sushi which they enjoyed and soba which was also good.
Simple and good
Excellent dishes: being an à la carte menu we preferred to take some serving dishes and some sushi rolls. We took Gyoza, Udon and 3 sushi rolls: all very simple and good! Good price for a not too expensive dinner, very kind staff.
Fantastic omakase.
Extremely fresh scallop and Japanese shrimp from the onigiri were the highlights along with the fatty tuna. Steamed octopus with a delicious sauce was delectable too. Really everything was fantastic. My son ordered yaki tori and tempura udon and fully enjoyed both and also enjoyed a bite of everything from my omakase especially the wagyu skewer - like butter summer Friday night on the early side was not too busy and service was fantastic too. Green tea creme brûlée was a pleasant surprise too. Yuzu cocktail was refreshing and not super sweet and got me in a good mood really fast too. Overall a delightful experience and I cannot wait to come back again.
God awful! Horrendous service
I barely write reviews, but our experience was so terrible that I must warn others! The server was rude uninformed and obnoxious. On the menu the restaurant charges 2$ for regular sriracha big first response when we asked for hot sauce was no we don’t have. The sushi chef was kind enough to over heat and instruct the server(of course we were charged for it!) They even charge for a quarter cucumber sliced (call it a side!!). Nonetheless we could read the menu and all this was clearly indicated. My 4 year old son asked for lobster sushi, the server went back and forth on prices. Similarly we asked for roe and we were rudely informed that the “side” price only applies if we order sushi with it (please note we had just ordered 2 plates of salmon nigiri…and a bunch of other stuff). I agreed to her ask for the menu price of 5$ instead of 3 and yet the server came back two mins later saying I need to charge more! At this point we were so sick of this nonsense of nickel and diming over dinner we just waited for our son (4 years old) to eat and let without our dinner. We still Paid a $140 bill so that should indicate to you that we were definitely not the ones nickel and diming. To top it all, a guy came and asked us “ how was the service” and then once we told him it was terrible just stared at us and did nothing to help. Bizarre! Avoid if you can.!
Our Favorite Pre-Theatre Restaurant
Our second visit in three weeks was just as wonderful as our first. Our first visit was for ourJapanese granddaughter who was craving gyoza. We all loved everything that was suggested and couldn’t wait for a return visit. Every meal each of us has had has been wonderful. The service is excellent from knowledgeable waitstaff. Our new favorite pre-theatre restaurant.
Fav sushi EVER.
Like EVER. I've tried so many. But this place goes above and beyond. The staff. The ambiance. The FOOD OMG! So fresh. So delicious. Be sure to try the rock shrimp. The wagyu beef screwer ( it's a small Portion but worth it) and the seared tomato nigiri OMG. Thank me later.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
