Went here a few months ago and unfortunately was served bad fish. I ordered a traditional roll and when it was given to me it emitted a rotten smell. I told the owner/server that the fish was bad, he took it, smelled it, and then had the sushi chef throw away the batch of mixture that went into that particular roll which tells me that they don't check it for freshness. The owner was nice about it and offered to make another one and comped it but still sucks to be served rotten fish. Not the way I want to go out... I really wanted to like this place but I most likely will never go back.

I know it's an unlikely scenario, but IF you're tailing a suspect in an international espionage artifact smuggling ring, and IF that suspect stops for a bite at Masa sushi in Camarillo, California, do not UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES fall prey to the narrative that you should order some sushi to blend in while observing an artifact transfer three tables over. I certainly can neither confirm nor deny my objective during my visit to Masa, but I can highly recommend the complimentary fried tofu that led to other decisions that may or may not have future geopolitical implications. That delightful tofu led to some rolls, which were some of the best I've had in the past 10 aliases at least! I was so lost in a beautiful, meticulous, delicious sushi experience that I had to finish every single bite, regardless of whomever may or may not have been there that decided to leave unexpectedly. Did an espionage artifact even change hands?? Who can say? Certainly not me! And not just because it would blow my cover, which I don't even have. You never read this.

There is almost too much on the menu. It's difficult to choose but whatever you are looking for Masa Sushi has it. You are seated quickly and the staff are quick to serve you. It can get a bit loud when the place is full (which is most of the time) but you can still carry on a conversation. Get there early!

Very spontaneously we decided to try this place after shopping at Camarillo Outlet. Wasn't impressed with ambiance but after ordering few items, we kinda grew into liking the place. Service was very good the rolls are huge and the nigiri was the best. Good size cut very fresh. The tempura was fantastic. Prices for the amount of food is a bargain. I think when we go back we will order nigiri and other items but not any rolls.
My fiancé and I decided to have a quick lunch.
We found this place, not too far from the freeway, and it happened to have some good reviews right off the bat. After we went and we got seated and were greeted with water and sesame tofu appetizer once seated. my fiancé and I ended up ordering Y2K roll and a baked salmon roll. The service itself is pretty quick and very friendly. In my photos, I specifically wanted to take pictures because I was so happy with the ratio of filling to rice. The food was good, reasonably priced, everyone was so kind. I'd come back, and I live in San Diego!
Still reigns one of the best in Camarillo.
I made a review a few years ago about the good and fast service. No joke the workers do there best to serve customers quickly and the chefs do make sure to prepare the food at a great speed. Understandably if you order bigger plates wait time increases. Now take a seat on the awesome wooden chairs and enjoy some sushi.

Since then, the quality of the fish has improved immensely, and I usually order the chirashi bowl to go. I recommend going for the lunch special if you can get away during the week. Not only is it a great price, but you get a lot of food. Service is wonderful, but be prepared to wait on the weekends or if you get a to-go order.

I was just asking for how long for my pick-up order this tall korean guy shouts and said almost ready. My order took so long, and theres just a few customers in there.

One of the worst thing to do in any business is have an absolute terrible service! My wife and I were so disappointed about how service was, food was not great! The server was so slow and unprofessional playing with his phone and leaving the food more like throwing on the table and leaving! Not okay! I will not return and will not recommend it to come to anyone who lives in town and want to get some awful food and negative service

I also got the salmon and avocado roll, salmon skin roll and California roll, all excellent! When I went to pick up my order, the place was PACKED. Granted, it's not that big, it's actually kind of small, but cute decor. That tells you that this place MUST be good if every table (and sushi bar) is completely filled. This may be my new sushi spot for takeout!

Great food & not bad prices for sushi, I got the six dollar roll, yellowtail sushi & bluefin tuna. Tbh I'd skip the blue fin tuna it just seemed like the regular one but overall a great experience, I will be back.

We're new to the area and saw this had great reviews so we decided to give it a try. We got the Baked Salmon roll, Camarillo roll and shrimp tempura. The baked salmon roll was done well, but the other two not so much. The Camarillo roll included baked eel, but we found SEVERAL bones in the roll ( I understand a few but the amount we found was insane). The shrimp tempura roll had the smallest amount of shrimp, not even worth it. The service was pretty slow after we placed our order, ( but we were checked on off before) with no water refills. Can't say much for the ambiance since we were sitting outside.

Number one go to for best priced sushi for the quality and service. The guys are always making fresh sushi at the bar and the ambiance is cozy and feels likes you're there to chill and have great food. Love the #12 roll and the #16, definitely recommend the crispy rice with spicy tuna, those things are mountains and well worth it if you love spicy tuna. Some other favorites we love are the teriyaki entree, the spicy tuna hand roll, 101 roll, Red Dragon Roll, and Great Jeff roll.
I have been coming to Masa for years.
I'm not sure what happened, but it has gone down hill. I went for lunch with my baby yesterday. Yes, mothers with babies get sushi too. He's not ready for a high chair, so he sits in his car seat in his stroller. I came into the restaurant and there were two tables taken. I went to sit at a table that would fit his stroller perfectly and was told I needed to sit at a smaller table. The smaller table would result in his stroller blocking the aisle, and the other one had him parked alongside the sushi bar. I accommodated, and sat awkwardly at the table so I could still have access to the things I need from the stroller. I was asked what I want to drink and I ordered a water and a Diet Coke. I was asked "a water AND a Diet Coke?" Yepp...both...that's..why I ordered it... I looked at the menu and realized I should have just gone to Eggs n Things as I already was clearly not welcome. I really wanted sushi so I ordered the lunch combo, just ordered to-go instead of sitting and having a lunch with my baby like I planned. I got the chicken teriyaki and California roll. I sat there for 30 minutes, my little one started getting fussy, so I stand up to roll him around. I also thought I should get an extra rice for him to take home as he loves rice. I ask the waiter for an extra side of yes. "It already comes with rice." Yes...I know... an extra side please... food wise, the sushi is always fantastic . The chicken teriyaki was really not that great, and it usually is. Here's a pic of my 3.99 soda. Overall not the experience I had in my head from previous times.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
