I've been coming Sushi Enya for several years and it never disappoints. The service is great and welcoming and the sushi is excellent! I have also visited their Pasadena location and can say that both places hold up Would recommend their lemon sushi rolls (seasonal), grilled onions sushi rollls. The toro sashimi. The eel mascarpone are some of my go to favorites
Be the first to ReplyFood 5/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 First time here.
We did the reservation because it was mother's day. I've been to little tokyo so many times but I haven't been here until now! The place is on the same street as the pupular ramen place. Parking will be hard so try to find the parking on the street or use the public parking space right across the street. I really enjoyed my sushi here and highly recommended to all sushi lovers. The sushi was hands down the best I ever had, especially the uni. Such good quality. The servers were very nice to us too. I got a glass if sake as well.

My friend and I made a reservation here for 530pm but we were running late; so we called to see if we can shift our dinner to 615pm, and they were super accommodating. We ordered the garlic edamame, the albacore roll, and 3 nigiri. They were all so delicious. The garlic edamame was addicting. The roll had the perfect balance of rice and fish. And the nigiri all had quality, thick slabs of sashimi. It was a nice yet casual ambiance where we could also catch up well!
Be the first to ReplySuper pricey for mid fresh sushi.
Nice ambiance and welcome but the service is terrible. The waitress had no hospitality or personality. But she may have also been the only waitress. $100+ for 3 rolls and 1 hand roll. Could have spent less and got better quality rolls for that price but we were in a rush to get to a show. Would not recommend, too many better options in Little Tokyo to get mid sushi and below service.

Consistency, it's all about consistency when it comes to a restaurant. Consistency in flavor, quality and service and Enya has it all ! I have been going there for over a decade and never disappoints.
Be the first to ReplyWe have been to Sushi Enya multiple times.
The sushi is some of the best I have had the chefs are at the front of the restaurant and put on quite a show. They have a good list of beers and sake. Expect to spend about $100 a person Service is spot on, and the restaurant has tiny inside and on a patio area. The ambience is casual. The noise level can be loud depending on the groups in the restaurant. Parking is on the street with meters.
Be the first to ReplyHigh quality fish, wild caught and real crab - requirements
High quality fish, wild caught and real crab - requirements that in my opinion make the sushi taste superb. The service is phenomenal as I have been going there for several years and often, has not failed once. The ambiance I would say is business casual like most places in LA. Parking is tough, I would choose a nearby garage or if you have the option to take the train, super convenient (3 min walk from center).

Visiting Little Tokyo, I really did not want to visit any of the sushi spots in the plaza as they did not seem to have high quality standards. Sushi Enya however was a pure gem. Right across the street from Little Toyko. We were greeted by the staff including the chefs! The dining area was the perfect setting for eating amazing sushi. I got the Baked Salmon Roll with garlic edamame to share. My girlfriend had the Lemon Roll and it was all delicious! The staff are super friendly and the food was fantastic! We would definitely come again next time I'm in LA!
Be the first to ReplyReally appreciated the welcoming staff and service!
Really appreciated the welcoming staff and service! Definitely sit at the sushi bar if you can. Didn't order any rolls so I can't speak on those, but the sushi was good quality and well made. However, I did want a crispy rice appetizer and chose to get it with spicy albacore, which was on the chef recommendations for the night, rather than the usual spicy ahi. Would NOT recommend whatsoever. It was like a huge glob of canned tuna. Stick to the traditional sushi and sashimi and Sushi Enya will be a great choice.

Finally got to try the omakase! It was so amazing and everything was fresh. The amount of food was decent but Id say it was probably closer to 150$ rather than the 200 we paid. Overall it was a great experience and Im super happy I had the opportunity to try it. Service is always great here and the noise level is tolerable.

Made OpenTable reservation one week in advance but didn't realize there were standard table and Omakase reservation options. Walked in ready to spent $800 on Omakase but given a table in the back with no alternative. The good : delicious Uni Ikura Don and all Toros on the menu. The bad : Sashimi platter and Halibut platter not as good as the price you pay for. End up spending $300.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was hyped and it absolutely lived up to it.
Ordered a rainbow roll and each piece was extremely well balanced and fresh. Wagyu did not disappoint and was so buttery and exploding with flavor. House sake was bars above your standard. All in all service was on par, water pours on par and just the vibe was all positive 10/10 experience and service.

Fish was very fresh and orders came out quickly however we were a party of four places at a smaller four top table so it would have been nice if the orders where more dispersed through the meal. All of the signature rolls and sushi (2 pieces with rice) fell apart when being picked up. Flavors were great.
Be the first to ReplyLA has a lot of competition especially for sushi.
This was certainly one of the better ones. Located in a prime location in Little Tokyo on a very busy street even on a rainy week night. The host and staff greeted with enthusiasm and the interior had ample seating for walk-ins. The tables were close together and noise level can be higher than normal was can be nice. Specials are posted on the wall, dated on simple piece of paper. Good options and recommendations were made by the friendly staff. The sushi and sashimi came in two pieces which is great for sharing. Salmon belly sashimi, halibut sashimi, snapper, sweet shrimp sushi, and A5 wagu were all spectacular and very flavorful without a doubt. The rice was very special and delicious including the handroll negi-toro. Oddly, halibut carpaccio was on drier side and the flavors were not super memorable. The portion of the rolls were huge. Specifically the cherry blossom roll would be good for those against rice, but personally the texture was a bit soft and mundane after the third piece. I will definitely be back to this restaurant and will know to focus on specific sushi and sashimi options.

The server working there tonight was friendly and really great at her job. I wish the owners would put some money into a little remodel, paint the walls and fix the lighting etc, but the food is always great.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly staff, good sushi, fair prices, good service.
The place was actually bigger than expected with some seating in the back. They don't take reservations. The rolls came with many pieces and they were ranging in the $20+ price range. Inwould recommend sitting at the bar where most of the interaction happens. It's also right by little Tokyo so you can walk around after, shop, get dessert etc.
Be the first to ReplyCame at a rainy day, we had a group of 6.
The service was pretty standard. Getting everyone water and teas and making sure we were well taken care of. The food was fresh, each dish was delicately placed and presented. We had 4 orders of the Chu Toro which was amazing. We ordered 4 different cut rolls. Each had their own distinct flavors. We ordered other dishes that I couldn't recall but the fish was fresh. The lost star was the fact that the 20% tip was added automatically. We had a large group I know but that doesn't call for automatic add on. I still would like to control my tip. Tips incentivize restaurants to provide top notch service.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious sushi.
Melt in your mouth scenario. Ordered their sashimi and a few of their rolls. All great and delicious. Would come again.
Be the first to ReplyUnfortunately, my experience at Sushi Enya in Los Angeles
Unfortunately, my experience at Sushi Enya in Los Angeles has been consistently disappointing, especially when dining with a party of 5 or more. Other recent reviewers have shared similar experiences, with slow service and disappointing food.On both occasions, the service was extremely slow and unattentive, which was frustrating given the high prices of the dishes. We found ourselves waiting for long periods of time just to place an order or to receive our food. It was clear that the staff was overwhelmed and understaffed, leading to a less-than-pleasant dining experience. Moreover, the food was not up to par with the expectations we had for a high-end sushi restaurant. Other recent reviewers have also noted that the sushi was not fresh, and the rolls were poorly constructed with ingredients that did not seem to mesh well together. Overall, the taste and presentation of the dishes were unremarkable, and did not justify the high prices. In addition to the slow service and disappointing food, the atmosphere was also not up to par with what one would expect from a high-end sushi restaurant. The restaurant was noisy, cramped, and lacked the kind of elegant ambiance that would enhance the dining experience.Overall, based on my experience and other recent bad experiences, I cannot recommend Sushi Enya in Los Angeles. While it is disappointing to have had such an unpleasant experience, there are many other excellent sushi restaurants in Los Angeles that are worth trying instead.
Be the first to ReplyMy boyfriend brought my here for my first omakase
My boyfriend brought my here for my first omakase experience from the recommendation of friends. Apparently this place has the best quality for the price and boy we're they right. This was both our first time so I can't speak on other Omakase spots, but all I know is we were wow'ed with every bite. Every single piece of fish was perfection. The rice, the customized sauce for each different dish, the texture was all amazing. The chef took a lot of time and effort for each piece to make sure it was the perfect bite. I was honestly nervous I wouldn't be able to finish everything, but I couldn't stop eating. The sake pairing we also had was amazing. This price of this meal/experience is obviously not for everyday, but it is 100% worth a try. We still continuously talk about this dining experience till this day and cant wait to come back. 11/10

I was at this restaurant and spent almost $200 then decided to come back the next day and spent another $200, I notice they charged a 20% gratuity (for 2 ppl) so I questioned why they charged me that today their response was, "because you asked for too many things" what! Are you kidding me! They made me feel terrible for ordering my food and don't feel comfortable to come back as I feel discriminated. This is discrimination as they're not applying this to everyone and just me. So now keep in mind, you better order all your food at once, because If you place another order, "you're asking for too much" & they will bill you more. They didn't deserve the 20% gratuity if I was receiving zero customer service and the waitress should get another job as I can tell she hates her job.
Be the first to ReplyNot your typical sushi spot.
More like for advanced suchi lovers. I normally don't eat raw sushi so I ordered the baked salmon roll, the only roll that's semi cooked, but it was DELICIOUS. Omg the delicacy is insane. The restaurant is more of a tight space but it is nice and cozy once you take a seat. Service can be a bit better not sure if this depends on the person that serves you but overall the food is A++++
