Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White Timberline Drive Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
I love it! The food! The service! The view! The Disney
I love it! The food! The service! The view! The Disney characters!!! I will definitely be back! It's not just for kids!!!
We did Story Book for our 25th anniversary dinner.
I was a little worried about doing a character meal for a romantic dinner, so we made an 8:15 reservation hoping most of young kids would be done. Not so however. We were one of the few tables without kids, but it didn't matter as it turned out. Restaurant noise was no different than any other Disney table service option. We both got the Enchanted Apple cocktail, which was really nice, not too strong. With the price fixed appetizers, I only really liked the Hunters Harvest. Mushroom bisque and shrimp cocktail were both sophisticated and well presented, but just not for me being a fussy eater generally. Entrees were Prime Rib, which was excellent and came with a nice surprise - - garlic butter popover, which was amazing! Brothers Grimm Herb Chicken was also excellent. Perfectly cooked and juicy. Dessert assortment was adorable and delicious. I can't talk enough about the cookies and cream panna cotta. Unbelievable!!!! If you enjoy anything cookies and cream, you'd love it!! We were on the Disney dining plan, so counted as 2 table service credits each. So not the most economical use of the dining plan, but it was worth it!
Good experience
My daughter really loved Dopey, Grumpy and Snow White. They come to your table and do a dance. The Evil Queen also appears and is entertaining. The service was great. The food was just ok.
Such a cool restaurant located in Wilderness Lodge Resort
Such a cool restaurant located in Wilderness Lodge Resort Hotel. First, the food was delicious and perfectly themed for the forest like atmosphere. We got to meet Snow White, Grumpy, and Dopey. We also took a picture with the Evil Queen. I love that the dessert was comprised of poison apples and gooseberry pie. It also came with cookies and cream pannacotta which was amazing! Highly recommend this character dining experience.
This is a great meal with fantastic characters! Grumpy is
This is a great meal with fantastic characters! Grumpy is one of my favs - Snow White is awesome too! The decor is cool and the food is excellent. Dopey usually makes an appearance too!
So Much Fun
This was my first time having this dining experience. The atmosphere was a bit loud with the kids. The theming of the restaurant was fun. The food was great. I loved all the starters. And I had the Cottage Beef Stroganoff—I ate it all. The photo ops with the characters were fun. I would definitely dine here again.
Ok food and all a little rushed
This doesn’t feel like a nice fine dining meal. It’s very much centred around rotational numbers and getting the most people through the restaurant. Starters are fixed and appear rapidly. Main quickly afterwards. Then you get a pass to see the queen. I don’t get why this is given when there is already a big queue and you’re asked to join the queue. The deserts will be waiting for you when you return and the bill will be presented whilst you’re eating the deserts. It’s not the place where you could enjoy a glass of wine after your meal. The food was ok. Starters weren’t great. Prawn and meatballs were quite bland. Soup was good. The pork shank is ok, it’s hard not to get a slow roast pork shank wrong. Rib is ok too. Deserts were ok, not great but nice enough. Not really proportionate to the price but not bad by any means. Our daughter really loved meeting the characters though, which is what it’s about really. The interactions are brief but she loved it nonetheless. Based on this and the really good photos with the queen, I’d say it’s just about worth the price. If you’re coming more for the food, there are lots of better options for the price. We did Akershus at Epcot which was a lot better in terms of food and interactions albeit also had a sit down, eat and get out feel.
Best Disney character dinner by far, the whole experience
Best Disney character dinner by far, the whole experience is amazing, the food is excellent and the service and entertainment always on point, make sure you save room for desserts because they are delish and the ambiance by far is truly the best!
Like other storybook dining events I've gone to, this was a
Like other storybook dining events I've gone to, this was a blast! It was so fun here, especially if you enjoy dressing up, meeting Disney characters and eating whimsical dishes and drinks. Hard to get reservations but if you plan ahead and start looking about 2 months in advance you might be able to land one. To start off, I enjoyed the mushroom soup in their mini cauldron. The pork shank entree was SOOO good, truly to die far... that meat fell right off the bone. Kids were eating off my plate. Kid's food was so-so. The desserts were so cute and tend to be on the sweet side. Topped off with a surprise chest of more sweets! I did enjoy my refreshing cocktail, Evil to the core (sweet & spicy from the habanero!) Service was great, and they were able to add 1 more person to my party of 5 at the door. Also, all Snow White characters truly played their part well, especially the Evil Queen! Worth every penny to experience it. While at the Wilderness Lodge, take advantage of the scavenger hunt which will take you around the resort. My kids left very happy!
Do not go here!
This was not a good restaurant. The food was not good but the most truly disappointing part was that the evil queen was a man. Why is this necessary to confuse young children? So sad and disappointing. My young daughter was crushed! The food was really bad as well. The meatball appetizer was cold. The prime rib was fatty and my husbands pork shank and daughters chicken were dry. This is so expensive and not worth one penny. For real! You will regret going here. Save your money! There are plenty of other character meals that are a million times better (and we’ve been to a lot).
What a lovely character dining experience! My family
What a lovely character dining experience! My family recently dined here for the second time. My husband and I really enjoyed this location back when it was Artist's Pointe and I am happy to say that they kept the mushroom soup and Pacific Northwest Wine list that was featured on that menu. Now, however, you are transported to an enchanted forest where you have the opportunity to interact with Snow White, Grumpy, and Dopey. You also get an invitation to meet the Queen when you finish your meal. The character interactions were fantastic. My child was so gleeful and excited to see Snow White and the dwarves. He was a bit hesitant about the Queen, which really surprised me, but I guess she was too intimidating for him and he refused to take a photo with "the bad guy" as he said. The timing wasn't great for meeting the queen. We received our "invitation" to meet the queen at the end of our meal and when we went to meet her she was gone and they told us it would be 15 minutes before she returned and that we should go back and wait at our table. Well, that meant we had to sit for another 15 minutes after finishing our meal, paying our bill and everything. It also meant our server could not get another table for 15+ minutes so it really stunk for everyone involved. The food was good, but it could have been better. Most importantly, it felt rushed. Our server came by and told us everyone gets the same appetizer and dessert we just choose our entrée. She said the fish of the day was salmon and the pork shank was the most popular item. Then she disappeared before we could ask questions or order drinks. Then they immediately brought our appetizer. This may seem silly to some, but it is a real pet peeve of mine. You should always have your beverage before you have food and it really contributed to my feeling rushed through my meal. As far as the appetizers go they are meatballs, mushroom bisque, and shrimp cocktail. The meatballs are pretty good and the mushroom bisque is quite good and I don't even like mushrooms, but they weren't hot so that is a real bummer. Soup, especially, should be hot. For entrees, my husband ordered the salmon and I ordered the pork shank. On our previous visit, pre-Covid I had the prime rib and I like prime rib, but sometimes you get a piece that it too fatty or under seasoned so I decided to try something new. I enjoyed my dish and thought it probably deserved its spot as the most popular dish. My husband said the salmon was just ok. He said it seemed like they tried too hard and tried to put too many flavors on what is a really beautiful and delicious cut of fish on its own. The kids menu here is sparse; grilled chicken, grilled fish, or kids prime rib. My little one wasn't eating any of that, sadly :( Our server offered up some chicken nuggets and mac n cheese which is more my kids speed, but they weren't nuggets, they were fingers and the noodles weren't mac either so I paid $40 for my kid to eat like 3 bites of "mac n cheese." I just have to remind myself it is as much about the character experience as it is the food. Ugh. For dessert they bring out these cute apples made of chocolate mousse, cookies and cream panna cotta, and huckleberry pie. You also get a piece of dark chocolate from the huntsman chest. A+ for presentation. The desserts are gorgeous. However, if you are not a chocolate person, then 3/4 desserts are happening for you and I think that is a problem. I don't love chocolate, but I'll eat some. I thought the panna cotta was good. It reminds me a bit of the grey stuff at Be our Guest. The chocolate mousse and dark chocolate heart were too much chocolate for me and the huckleberry pie was way too tart. Overall, the environment is gorgeous, the character interactions were really good and the food had some both hits and misses.
Good but not great
Ok, if you are going to Storybook dining for the food? Go somewhere else. If you are going for the atmosphere and to meet the characters? This place is for you. The food was good, but not comparable for the money that one pays for the meal. The appetizers and deserts were small. The prime rib is better at Texas Roadhouse. The characters and their interaction were fun and they spent time at each table. It was a good experience and I am glad I went for the experience, not the food.
One and done... not worth the cost
This dinner was a one and done for my family. I went as a family of 5, 4 adults and one child. We have dined at many MANY character meals at Disney World and we just weren't really impressed. For the price, it just wasn't worth it for us. I felt like the food was just okay. I got the prime rib, husband got the pork. I felt like everything was under seasoned. The dinner felt very rushed. I was in the bathroom with my daughter when Snow White came to our table. We asked and fortunately she did come back and visited out table but it felt like a very short and quick interaction compared to some of the buffet character meals we have been to. The Queen meet and greet was great. We dined at Artist Point before it was a character meal and I do feel like the quality of the food has decreased. Overall, I just feel like the experience wasn't worth the cost. Personally I prefer Be Our Guest... the ambiance is better and the food is better. There are many better character meals like Tusker House or Crystal Palace. You pay less, can get more food (buffet style), have more food options, and the quality of food is the same in my opinion. If you are a die hard Snow White fan, you should check it out. Otherwise, if you are just looking for character dining or fine dining, I feel like there are better options.
Worth the wait
We tried for 2 years to get reservations because each time we were headed to Disney, this was the first reservation we tried for. We finally were able to make everything fit into place. We had been told it was a steak house by friends which is why we were going. The perks were that the decor make you feel like you are in the forest in the evening. It’s a character dining experience and you meet characters who are rarely seen - Snow White with Dopey and Grumpy and the witch. The food was very good and the deserts were really special. We had a great time and hopefully will get back soon.
Manic Meal in a Beautiful Setting
I’m between 3 and 4, the dining room was very nice, the food was good but for us this was a once-and-done character meal. The pace of the meal was manic, we were rushed through the characters, rushed through the meal and I feel that we would have been pushed out the door if we lingered too long. We had 10 people at our table but were given 2 “trees” with appetizers and 2 with dessert. It was enough food but for the price we were charged per meal we could have been spared at least one more to select the items we liked. All the characters came at once (we would just sit and the next would be there). We were given our time to see the Queen when our entrees were served (would probably have been better at the end of the meal). Our plates and the items on the trees were cleared before we were done eating so don’t expect a leisurely experience. It was nice to see the different variety of characters and the Queen was fabulous but as I said we wouldn’t do it again.
This meal was a splurge for my trip but it was fantastic!
This meal was a splurge for my trip but it was fantastic! All of the characters came to our table and spent a good amount of time interacting with us. Our server even made sure that we had seen Dopey, Grumpy, and Snow White before giving us our "invitation" to meet the Queen. All four characters were great but the Evil Queen was the best. She was hysterical. The food was outstanding as well. My friend has a shellfish sensitivity so our server brought us cucumber salad in addition to the appetizer trio. The pork shank entree was worth writing home about. It was so flavorful and tender. The meat practically fell off the bone. My friend's beef stroganoff was a generous portion with nice flavors, but we found it odd that the vegetables on top were cold. She said it was great but she'd order something else next time. The desserts were also great and themed well. The gooseberry pie was the standout among the three. If you're going to drink, I highly recommend the enchanted apple. It's so good and smooth that I ordered two. Yes, this meal is pricey. With two alcoholic drinks and a tip, my meal for one adult was $120. But I have no regrets and would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Service was wonderful, and this experience was so neat!
Service was wonderful, and this experience was so neat! Kids and adults enjoyed it! The characters were wonderful. The apple dessert at the end was a great touch. The food was pretty good too - my daughter actually ate the soup!
Shocked and startled!!
We had dined at Artist Point before and really enjoyed it. Our recent trip was startling. We were seated late, had zero view but we were really upset that they had a man playing the role of the Wicked Queen. It was obvious from 20 yards away. There were many children there and I would consider that confusing. I am not anti LBGTQ but I support tradition and we don’t need to re-write fairy tales!! So disappointed in Disney!!!
One of our favorite character dinners
My husband and I visit Disney every year in September for our anniversary . We bring our adult special needs daughter who absolutely lives Disney! This character meal is by far one of the best experiences. The queen is an absolute riot! We are entertained just watching her while enjoying our meal. The meal is set up with a great deal of attention to make it special . We live the atmosphere and the food is delicious . Yes it is pricey , however, you get some serious entertainment from the queen and the other characters !!! We have to come here every visit!
Artist Point: not what it used to be
We have wonderful memories of Artist Point when it was a fine dining experience, with views of the "forest" and Old Faithful and really good food. Now it's a tacky character restaurant with a fixed selection of appetizers and desserts served family style with a choice of mediocre entrées. I guess it's okay if you're looking for a dinner with young kids, but not for adults looking for a good meal.
A Magical Celebration
Magical & Magnificent! Exceptional even by Disney standards. We enjoyed a delicious meal served with amazing attention to detail. We had sufficient private time to get many fun pictures with Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Queen! We were entertained while we dined with song & dance performances by the character.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.

Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
