I brought my date here for Valentine's Day and our experience was absolutely horrific. I made reservations MONTHS in advance and we live about an hour away. We left and began our drive over about 90 minutes in advance to ensure plenty of time. We discovered, upon the drive, that there was far more traffic than we could have anticipated, therefore pushing our ETA back by approx 16 minutes. I called STK to inform them that we may be a little bit late due to these unforeseen circumstances to which the lady on the other end responded "we can only hold your spot for 15 minutes". I expressed that I understood and that I had made these reservations months and months in advance and it would only be literally 1 minute over the 15 grace period. She responded with "well you made the reservation months in advance so you had plenty of time to prepare". This careless response astounded both myself and my date. I have never had an interaction with someone this disrespectfully. My logic is that if I am driving to you restaurant to spend HUNDREDS of dollars for one meal, you should treat your guests better than garbage. My date immediately stated that we should go elsewhere but this restaurant was her choice and she had been wanting to go. So we went anyways. We did fortunately get there within the grace period and were sat at a table in extremely close proximity to others near their backdoor, maybe 2 feet away from the person behind you and close enough where we could clearly hear the conversations of the couple next to us ( I hope that first date went well for you guys), with the more than occasional passerby staring at us while walking past the restaurant outside the back door. Very weird. Our waitress was very nice and polite but not very attentive to our needs. She only checked on us once and did not address the issue we had. My date and I both ordered the Valentine's Day special wagyu steak along with mashed potatoes, lobster tail for me, shrimp for her and the corn pudding. We each ordered a soft drink and shared the lava cake dessert. My dates steak was ordered medium but came out red. She did not eat the whole 5oz steak, which is very small anyways. Upon sharing this information with the waitress, she said "oh". My date and I did not feel in the mood to argue so just said ok it's no big deal, whatever. Early the following morning we both threw up and had diarrhea, me for 2-3 days and her for a whole week. I did call the restaurant the next day but was asked a multitude of questions by the operator and then placed on hold for so long I had to hang up due to having to go to work. The following day I called again and again after answering so many questions and being placed on hold for almost 20 minutes I got into contact with a supervisor. She seemed understanding and expressed that her manager would contact me within 3 days. It's now been almost 3 weeks and I have heard nothing. Initially I just wanted to be heard and to make sure this experience was not repeated to other guests but at this point after spending $400 and being treated like useless, worthless garbage, I would like a full refund. This place should not be open for business with such lack of training from the hostesses to upper management who clearly and obviously do not care at all whatsoever!
