Space 220 Restaurant Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
Worth the money
The theme of the restaurant is really cool. We first tried the restaurant to check out the space theme. My family and I were very very impressed with the food and with the presentation of the dishes. We have never had a bad dish here. The food is very high end in taste and presentation and yet we did not feel out of place in the restaurant. The servers that we've had were friendly and attentive. The chefs are amazing. They were careful in preparing our food because we have a food allergy in our family. We always look forward to dining at Space 220. It is expensive but it is worth it.
Much Better Options
We like to try different restaurants each year and decided to try Space 220. My best advice is don’t. You’ll drop over 200 bucks before any drinks for a party of 3 with tip. The atmosphere is pretty corny and non realistic. The steak is comparable to a Waffle House steak at 5x the price. The chef has no idea what medium or medium rare means and it’s likely not his or her fault given it’s the thinnest, fattiest and toughest piece of beef (hopefully) you’ll ever try. Do yourself a favor and go to basically to any of the countries and get anything else. Maybe tone down the Space TV screens a bit and focus on the food if you’re charging Ruth Chris prices. It’s basically a dining room with one window with TV screens. You can get the same at Waffle House if you can get someone in a moon suit to stand outside the window and wave. The jokes about Space Water fall flat when it’s coming from the water fountain outside the restaurant.
A let down - better ways to waste your $$
I felt very let down by this experience, and I recommended being cautious in any reservation you make. For how expensive it is, the difficulty in getting a reservation in summer, and the promise of a unique (space station like) experience, my expectations were higher. For 2 x adults and a child, we paid slightly less than $300USD - my husband and I drunk water. I didnt even get a table with a decent view; we were in the front/top corner table with pretty much a black corner screen which I had to kink my neck to look up at - the ‘earth view’ you see on their website is not across all the screens, its only across the middle ones and is best viewed from the tables in the middle of the restaurant (or from the ‘walk-in lounge’ areas). Even then, it really isn’t amazing. Quite frankly you get a better view doing the Space: Mission ride (green one). While the wait staff were lovely, we had 2 incorrect items (at different times) delivered to our table and our child’s meal incorrectly made so they needed to wait to eat (while their meal was re-made) whilst our meals had arrived. This was a disappointing experience, and one I wouldn’t give a 2nd chance too.
Actual fine dining amidst the chaos
We took our daughter and grandson here for lunch. Our daughter and her husband had been before and we were anxious to try it. She requested a seat by the window and we were accommodated. Although you can see the "earth" better from some other seats, frequent fly-bys of astronauts, satellites and space ships kept our 3 yr old grandson amused. The set price for 2 course lunch is $55 for adults and $29 for kids and although not cheap, nothing is at Disney. In this case the meal is elevated and uses top quality ingredients. For that reason I chose the burrata starter and the seared tuna entree. The tuna was cooked very little, as sushi grade tuna should be, and the sauces and caponata on the plate were wonderful. I enjoyed both dishes very much. For those who want a little more food on the plate, my husband and daughter got the steak and frites and it was delicious and a generous portion. Most people in the restaurant were ordering the calamari starter, which is a very traditional preparation. Highlight of our meal was the service. Our waiter Alessio promised our grandson a small surprise if he finished his dessert and when he saw Alessio come back to the table he held his empty bowl out to him and the waiter produced a pack of space trading cards. Nice touch. The restaurant managers also stopped by to chat. For a minute I forgot I was in the middle of the hubbub of Disney. Don't forget they do offer Annual Pass discount of 10%, and if you don't want to order the whole lunch, you can sit at the bar to get a drink or snack even with children.
Do not go
I would not recommend Space220. Cool atmosphere but that’s about it. Food was over priced and was just okay. If you have a reservation here, cancel it and go elsewhere .
Great ambiance, mid food
The space effect of this restaurant was seriously amazing. I've never seen a more realistic space simulation--it was so cool and kept us entertained for the entirety of our meal. Our food, however, was just fine. Especially at Epcot, there are many better places to eat. Worth visiting for the ambiance and theming, but the food is not great. We had the chicken pad thai and burger.
Amazing Experience at Space 220
Christopher from St. Petersburg, Fl provided amazing service and gave great drink recommendations. He made our visit magical. Daniela the manager came around and made sure we had an amazing experience. The Strawberry Nebula was a delicious desert the you must try.
Bar or Bust
My husband and I dined at Space 220 last week 6/13/2024. I think it is safe to say that things have changed. We were seated along the back wall. We had no better a view than the view from the bar area. Our waiter was not attentive and seemed to truly not give a single sh*t about us. This was magnified by the amount of attention he gave to his other tables around us. The appetizers we ordered were fine. We had the beef carpaccio and shrimp tacos. The beef should have had a sauce and instead it was literally just mayonnaise. The taco shell was nice but the shrimp were not quality. They were the very small cheap shrimp like you find at any grocery store in the country. I had a cocktail and my husband had the space draft beer. The beer was very bad, even by craft beer standards. He talked about it with the waiter and a manager and no solution was offered. On to the mains. I had the steak salad as it was 98 degrees outside and I just could not eat anything heavy. Boy was that a mistake. My "steak" was cooked so long that it took another form. It was dry and rock hard. The sad bits of iceberg lettuce and four pieces of tomato did not make up for the steak rocks. Although maybe they were moon rocks, sticking with the theme and all. I digress, my salad was horrid. My husband got the steak frites. His steak was edible, but it was also overcooked. The fries that came with the steak were pathetic. Think of a sad lonely version of McDs fries and you'll be close to these. This was again discussed with our waiter and a manager. At the end of the meal our waiter said he would "take care of us" and came back with a 15% discount. While that was nice, sort of, it in no way made our experience better. I would give it a 1/10 and that's just because by cocktail was cute. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME IN THE DINING ROOM. Go to the bar. We have actually had several wonderful experiences at the bar.
Great experience and restaurant!
We just got back from our Disney World trip and had dinner at Space 220 during our time at Epcot and it did not disappoint! The entire experience is wonderful, very fun for the littles in our group. The atmosphere is very calming, the dining staff is exceptional and the food was delicious! Our server Luis was absolutely amazing, was great with our children, helped with menus and drink items, suggested a fun kids drink with light up ice cubes. We were able to take the ice cubes with us and used them in our water bottles, which were fun at night during late night stays at the parks - kids loved them. He also suggested a good photo spot in the restaurant and took family photos for us after dinner. Also during my dinner I was searching for my napkin (I have three small kids, so it had gone missing) and when I looked up another waiter had noticed I needed a napkin and brought it over without me even having to ask, just great service all around from the staff. Highly recommend!
One and Done
It was worth a try. It was $55/person for lunch. This price did not include drinks. We picked an appetizer and entree. Both were just ok. The service was great, but for what we paid, it was disappointing. What you are paying for is an experience. The space elevator was cool, as was the theming, but we will skip this next time as there are other options available.
OUR DINNER IN SPACE
Was so excited to get a reservation to dine here and so wanted for it to live up to my expectations. Sadly, it was just ok. 1st, there isn’t any place to sit, no benches, at the check in area. People are just sitting on the ground. The “elevator” into space is really neat, as is the “wow” of entering into the main dining area but from then on it was just an average, expensive experience to us. The 2 person tables are about 3 rows from the windows but you still have a good view of the activities floating by in space. We were in the center but it looked like there wasn’t as much activity happening in the far right windows?? It is a 3 course dinner, NO beverage included and NO bread, like at Be Our Guest at MK. I had the beef ribs/cheese grits which were good and tender but was more like a roast to me. I had the chocolate cheesecake. It was good but had a blue/tangy topping covering it which was surprisingly good. My husband had the pork chop, which came with a long “cowboy handle” which he said he liked. He had the chocolate cake which he said was also good. This is probably a “one and done” for us unless we take our grandchildren sometime. I think it would be really neat to younger children. I think for the $$ we prefer Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom.
Don't go
We were all looking forward to our Space 220 dinner, and what a disappointment it was. First, we were left standing for minutes between people dining as they looked for a different table that could accommodate our baby carriage. Then came the food, which had to be the worst in all of Disney World. The entrees (salmon, cioppino, short ribs and filet) all suffered in different ways, but generally were not tasty. Desserts were pretty, but lacked flavor. Then came the bill ($79.99 per person), and when I offered my Disney annual pass for a discount I was told that only applied at lunch, not dinner! I spoke to a manager, who brought the bill down a bit, but it was still far too overpriced. What a terrible meal overall. Save your money and walk the World Showcase to find better food and better prices.
Worse than Sci fi diner!
Officially the worst food in Disney, even worse than Sci fi diner. You’re forced to get a starter and main from a very limited menu, even when you scrape to find something you might like, it’s terrible! If you like salt with your salt, this is the place for you.
Unique and fun experience!! The carrot cake is the star :)
We absolutely love it here! We always reserve the lounge so we can enjoy the best carrot cake ever made! You can't beat the ambiance, from the presentation taking you up into space, the incredible customer service, and the views of Earth while you enjoy some cocktails, I would recommend the lounge at least once in your Disney travels! (If you get Michelle serving you, you've hit the jackpot! We felt like we left with a new friend!)
Disappointing
We dined here on recommendation from the our tour operator. We raced to get booking once we could because we heard it was so in demand. Sadly the food was really expensive and mediocre. The most disappointing part was that we were basically sat next to a black screen that had some stars scattered around and the whole thing felt so rushed like the waiting staff were trying to get you out as quickly as possible. Won’t be returning.
One of the hardest reservations to get but really
One of the hardest reservations to get but really underwhelming. It felt like a cafeteria with dark windows around the sides that had a picture of space, but it wasn't immersive (no ceiling lights or anything). Food is mediocre but has some thematic names if you're into that.
Tasty but expensive
The food was incredible! Everything cooked to perfection and quite tasty. The service was good and the theming was amazing. It got a little tiring of every wait person asking if this was our first time in space. I get it but let it go a bit. It was incredibly expensive so certainly not for the budget minded.
Mediocre for the price unless it's your first time.
For the price, it's just not worth it anymore. When 220 first opened, the service was near Michelin Star quality, and it was worth the high price tag. Dinner shares a lot of the same menu items with Lunch. The appetizers and desserts are good, and the entrees were acceptable at best. The staff, ambiance, cleanliness and service was great. The complimentary water is municipality filtered tap, and served warm, which is surprising considering how high the bills can be if you eat here. Seems completely out of place if you ask me. We've eaten here 3 times in 3 years, and the first was nothing like the rest. I think you guys should have really left PRG alone with this one as the quality has noticably tanked. Unless we see a change on social media or hear word of mouth otherwise, we won't be stopping here again. Disneys management constantly min/maxxing everything killed another nice thing in my opinion.
Delicious surprise in Space
The meal was excellent! I had the Salmon it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The venue a space themed restaurant was really unbelievable. We were seated next to the window where we could view the astronauts fixing things the best was we saw them walking their space dog! So much fun. But, the best part was meeting our server in space Lacy🥰 She went above and beyond to make our dining experience special!! Not only was she personable, she was efficient answering all of our questions and guiding us through the menu and drink choices. She is a valuable asset to your space team! Also everyone we encountered on earth and in space was friendly and helped our experience. Well done!.
Excellent experience & delicious food
Not only is the food delicious, but the atmosphere is really cool. You can see astronauts and spaceships floating by. Ben (Benjamin E) was an excellent server as well, which always helps to make your dining experience extra special.
Cool for a one-time thing
Booked this 60 days out (although I did notice that people were able to walk up and try to get into the lounge - not sure how long the wait though). Very cool concept obviously and my kids really enjoyed looking for all the things out the "window." Obviously crazy expensive (but the portions were big and food/drinks were good). Wouldn't do it again, but a cool one-time experience.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
