Sloppy Joe's on the Beach Reviews from The Last Year
At recommendation of server so got the blackened grouper
At recommendation of server so got the blackened grouper sandwich. So good. The strawberry mango margarita also was very refreshing on a hot, humid day on the beach. Plus, nice views.

Food was amazing, Staff were really kind and patient and the views were amazing. Definitely would recommend we came for breakfast on 4th of july.
Food was good.
Ambiance was upbeat, though noise level quite high. Sunset view was great. Service was prompt and attentive
Awful and expensive!
We went on a not busy night, food was below average for the prices they charge. It took forever to get our food. The Thai chicken salad was so bland, the chicken was dry and had zero flavor ! Hubby had the lobster Mac n cheese, eww! His food tasted like a boxed Mac and cheese and the bits of lobster were so chewy. Ruined our visit, we won’t go back!
A beautiful beach side restaurant with great views.
The menu has a good variety and great results. The clam chowder & caesar salad are a great go-to here. The service is also always nice & friendly.
Cuban sandwich not a fan of the capicola ham in it.
Should be a traditional Cuban. It was ok. The sloppy nachos were great too, The grouper bites were amazing, service was awesome.
Touristy eatery with ok food.
Don't have high expectations when eating here but the food is fine. We had the chips and salsa w guacamole which was basically commercial flavorless chips with very runny pico and a small serving of guacamole. They charged us for extra of both even though they don't give you nearly enough. Also had the sloppy Joe. It was ok. Kind of tangy with lots of meat on a too dry bun. Service was impersonal and rushed. She tried to clear away the chips and salsa that we paid extra for before we were done eating. And then rushed to pick up the check when we were done. Otherwise spent a lot of her time at the waitress station on her phone. But the choices alcor restaurants on the beach are not many.
I first started with 3 stars but after the waitress spent
I first started with 3 stars but after the waitress spent all of 12 seconds with us I lowered my star. Sloppy Joes is nothing but a money making hungry machine. Don't let them fool you. It was not even busy when we were there at 4 pm on a Thursday yet we felt being pushed out the door. I have been here 3 other times and their prices have always been high but once again they have raised them. I will no longer do business here. Very disappointed in the service, the quality of food, and the prices. There are plenty of other places to go they are much more affordable and friendly.
Solid menu.
Good atmosphere. Great food and good service. Hard to complain about anything. We need to go try the sloppy Joes now.
Shout out to Ashley and Christian.
They made our annual visit here so enjoyable...and, importantly, their attention and service could not have been better. When a server takes the time to chat sincerely, and when a manager takes the time to LISTEN sincerely to answers to questions about your meal, you know you've got good service. See you next year!
Awesome atmosphere.
Great food and fun. Favorite spot for breakfast and afternoons in the sun.
Good
We ordered the Glazed Salmon, Fish & Chips, Strawberry Salad with Salmon, and the Blackened Grouper. Everyone enjoyed their meal and Savannah offered great service!
Our 4th visit.
The food was great and so was Melissa. This was our second visit. First time was with family who were on vacation. We had the Cuban and added garlic mashed potatoes, and the Philly Steak with fries plus two sodas. Enough food that we had them wrap half of each to take home. We live here. It's a great place to visit while on vacation and living here. The only observation is that on their website there is two different times for lunch...11:30am and 12:00. You can always call ahead.
You Have A Choice…remember that…
We’ve been here many times over the years, and I’m not sure why we return. It’s in a lovely location, overlooking the beach, pretty much in the centre of Treasure Island. We went mid afternoon, and were greeted by four young ladies behind reception, one of which showed us to our table and gave us menus….we waited. I counted ten young waiters walking around, with less than 20 customers inside. After 15 minutes our waiter came and took our drinks order (2 small Bloody Mary’s in a small plastic cup at $9.50 each - inside…not on the beach). Here’s a tip for the waiter - smile….it really does go a long way to make you feel welcome. Surf and turf burger was nice, but it’s a McD’s size burger with small shrimp in a thick fish sauce - not like the photo, and not worth $24. The mash was a small scoop and barely warm. Two small beers to follow (a Landshark at $3.50 - reasonable - and an IPA at $9! ). Like everything, prices have risen, but some things are still at fair trade price….half a can of beer in a small plastic cup….$9???? A small scoop of mash???? I’ve written this review, but I wonder if anything will change. So many reviewers feel the same, and the manager will always reply “I’m sorry about your experience”….but does anything ever actually change and do matters get addressed? I’ve been coming to TI for 30 years, and luckily there are now many more restaurants to choose from. Thanks Sloppy Joes, but I think it’s goodbye from us. And one last thing….tipping…..us Brits used to get bad treatment because we were not used to tipping - that seems to have changed a little recently, however, everyone is still faced with that dilemma at the end of a meal…was the service really worth the tip, and it’s the customer who’s made to feel guilty if there isn’t a tip left for the server. No one should feel obliged to tip - if the service is surly, the tip should reflect that, instead of the 18,22, 25 or even 30% tip option. Why not put a “feedback” section on the receipt?
Place to go!
Ran into Clyde the hotel GM. Told him of our first experience with sloppy joes and he was very kind and listen to what we had to say. We then later that night decided to go back and try again after talking with Clyde. We then let with the food and beverage manager Kenny he was very kind and apologetic about our experience the other night and ensured a completely different one this time. Chris the manager sat us and we had excellent service from Arianna. Food was great and drinks were as well. They sat us so we could over look the water and watch the sunset. Thank you to all of you for making it right and we come here every year for my husbands birthday and we will now make this the place to stay and also dine with
Lunch at Sloppy Joe's
This is a great spot for looking at the beach and light fare. We had a great waitress, Kelly, who made the lunch experience great. Thank you Kelly
Service Good, Food Inconsistent
Ate there twice while visiting area. First time was pretty good. I had salmon with the mashed potatoes. Salmon was very good, potatoes luke warm. My companion had the sloppy Joe sandw, she enjoyed it. Second time she ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes. I asked the server to be sure they came out hot. Luke warm again. I had the shrimp special, not impressed. Shrimp not cooked well and I didn't like the sauce they put on it. Ate less than half, left the rest. Service is good, kitchen needs work. Don't plan to return, better places nearby.
Breakfast on the Beach!
Though there's lots of room inside Sloppy Joe's, we wanted "on the beach" and we got it! The dining deck has low and high-top seating or you can sit at the rail. From our high-top seats we had a great view of the shore, which included seeing the giant water slides being inflated for the day. Service here is very good and attentive. Tyler, our server, answered our questions about portion sizes and magically appeared just when we needed a refill on coffee. You can definitely eat large here, judging by the size of some of the entrees we saw coming out! We chose the Sunrise on the Beach (2 eggs your way, bacon or sausage, breakfast potatoes, and choice of bread). A moderate-sized serving, cooked well and presented very nicely on a rectangular plate. Sloppy Joe's is part of the Bilmar Hotel and Resort complex so your views to the side include beach furniture and beach toys, which just adds to that "I'm on vacation" feel. After breakfast, we took a stroll along the wide cement walkway that runs along the back of all the beachfront properties.
Cold food
Food was cold and my appetiser came out at the same time as the main course and my beer never arrived. They did refund one of the meals but worse meal we have had since vacating in Florida.

The site doesn't have resources to properly execute a reservation transfer. Some places allow it however the best bet is to open a chat on the listing from the seller and communicate there

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
