Simon Pearce Quechee Reviews from The Last Year
Beautiful atmosphere, great food.
Wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend for any occasion!
Great spot, nice service
We were lucky to get a spot outdoors overlooking the falls. The server and restaurant staff were excellent, the drinks come in their own lovely Simon Pearce glasses matched to the drink. We had Caesar and arugula salads, both with grilled chicken as the protein. The salads were great, both slabs of chicken were bone dry, so consider choosing another protein. The Irish breads were terrific, love those scones!
Came here for graduation dinner and it was prix fixe.
The food was decent but not worth the price. Service was pretty slow even though we were one of the few parties there at the end. We ended up getting the dessert to go since it was taking too long. Restaurant had a nice ambience and decor and enjoyed seeing the glass work.
Went there with my sister in laws for "girls" lunch.
Service was excellent and the view outside is very scenic. Ordered various lunch menus. All were very delicious, grilled chicken salad the chicken was a little bland. However I ordered the crispy clamari salad and it was excellent. The calamari was light & crispy, the dressing was very tasty. Be sure to make reservations!
Last minute decision to make a lunch reservation on Fourth
Last minute decision to make a lunch reservation on Fourth of July worked out nicely. Went antiquing, grabbed some craft beer nearby, hiked the gorge and then had a wonderful lunch overlooking the Ottaquechee River.
A great place to eat, especially if you need a few $85.
00 wine glasses to take home afterwards! Be sure to catch a server who is having a good day, we didn't. The food was delicious and impeccably prepared. No kidding, and the scenery out of our window was epic.
Drinks In Proper Glassware
Have eaten here on a few occasions. On occasion you can get in without a reservation but you’re better off making one just to be sure. It’s a lovely spot. Never had any service issues. Service is relaxed, but efficient. The food is good enough although my lamb burger the other day was hockey puck overcooked. Prices are reasonable enough considering the location. They have a very nice drink selection ( Hill Farmstead—Yay!! ) and it will be served in proper glassware!!
Be careful what you click!
While this has always been a favorite of my wife and I, I was extremely disappointed to find that a gift certificate given me by daughter could only be used in the overpriced retail store and not in the restaurant. It's like a "bait and switch" tactic far below what I'd expect of a reputable business like SP. I guess I'll have to advise family not to purchase these gift certificates
Great lunch spot
Lovely quiche and salad for lunch, booking advised as it gets busy. Restaurant overlooks the river, you can visit the glass blowing workshop on the same site. Large carpark.
Dining experience at Simon Pearce never disappoints!
Had a great late lunch at Simon Pearce in Quechee VT last month. I had visited in 2022 and it was awesome to return for another meal. We had a view of the river and falls, service has an efficient and friendly vibe and meal was well served. Hubby had the Salmon, I had steak frites and a glass of prosecco. For dessert Steve had a slice of flourless chocolate cake and I had a mocha. Steve knows I am obsessed with the glassware although overall pricing is not within budget, but he did buy me a champagne flute which was a pleasant surprise. Neither of us needed dinner back at the Woodstock Inn after our delicious feast. I do recommend making reservations early as this place does fill up quickly.
The food was delicious and super inventive and interesting.
Worth going out of your way to be sure.

We visited for our wedding anniversary and were very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. Our waitress (Bree?) was attentive and friendly, our drinks were excellent (I enjoyed the whistle pig) and omg the food! I had the NY strip and my wife had seared scallops...yum! And the desert?!?! Wished we ordered another Key Lime tart to go!
Make reservations NOW
This is a beautiful restaurant with great farm to table food options. There are some fun inventive cocktails and a good list of local VT craft beer. It is all served in Simon Pearce glassware which might make you take a walk to the restroom which is directly through the store. Make reservations early...like right now! Especially if it is for highseason (fall especially) Also ask specifically for a table by the window or on the porch if it is summer. If by chance you cannot get a reservation, show up at 7:45 or 8:00 pm and ask very nicely if you can sit for dinner or dessert. This worked twice for us and both times we ended up at the nicest table. Worth trying. The food is great. We loved their Vermont cheese plate and the desserts were amazing (esp. the Pecan pie and Creme Broulet)
Food and service outstanding! Location stunning overlooking
Food and service outstanding! Location stunning overlooking the waterfall, the covered wooden bridge or the river that runs alongside. We enjoyed the duck which was perfectly prepared along with lamb shanks that were fall off the bone tender. The house Pinot Noir paired wonderfully and poured in Simon Pearce wine glasses was delicious! Caught a glimpse of the one and only Simon Pearce! He has reason to be proud of his glass blown products displayed in the store and around the restaurant! Had the pleasure of witnessing a surprise engagement as well as two gorgeous hot air balloons. Megan our waitress was on point!

My husband took me to Simon Pearce with another couple for dinner for my birthday. We had a beautiful table overlooking the River. We had a 5:30 reservation and it was a beautiful evening. Looking at the menu it certainly is on the pricey side. I was surprised that they no longer offer complementary bread and butter. You have to order it off the menu. That surprised me considering the price of the food. We had the cod, duck, chicken and a tuna salad. Everyone raved about their choice of items. About half way through our very quiet meal, a group of 7 young women came in. They were very loud, to the point where it became difficult for my party of 4 to even hear each other. My husband spoke to both the waitress and the manager but nothing was done. On our way out, I spoke to the manager who said that we were in the quietest part of the restaurant. The restaurant was not full and there were no other large parties. When I go out for a very expensive dinner, I don't like to feel like I'm eating in a college cafeteria. I like a quiet restaurant. This is what I found very disappointing about Simon Pearce.

This was a very unique experience- in a good way! I had no idea that this venue does their own glass blowing & used the waterfall to power their operations. Not only do they blow their own glass but they also have a store where they sell their merchandise. After you're done browsing the store they have a lovely (but pricey) dining area. I ordered the duck & my husband ordered the steak - both were fresh & perfectly cooked. For dessert I ordered the pavlova & hubby got the maple crème brûlée! Service was excellent! 10/10 experience!
Gorgeous glass with the chance to see glass blowing
The store is beautiful, overlooking the river and the covered bridge, and so worth a stop just for that. The glass is so pretty, although very expensive. The glass blowing display is downstairs, but the hours are limited, so you may not get to see glass being blown. It's a beautiful display and there's even a restaurant, so it's worth a stop.
Loved The Area
We went there to buy a specific item that my daughter wanted. The location of the store/restaurant is so lovely by the covered bridge and waterfalls. And I think the Simon Pearce products have become really beautiful, if expensive.
A Must Visit
This place has three primary things to offer as each one are worth the trip. (1) the glass blowing in the lower level was amazing. Watching them create a wine glass right in front of our eyes was so cool, I could have stayed for an hour just for that alone. It's warm down there so they had a door open - step outside and you have a phenomenal view of the bridge nearby and rushing water. Great spot for a selfie. (2) The store is very fun to browse around while waiting for your table. The items can be pricey so probably not for everyone but knowing they are made right there in house is pretty impressive. (3) The restaurant. Great meal and if you are lucky, you will get a table with a view of the previously mentioned bridge and waterfall.
Very disappointed in the lunch.
This was the second time the service and food was very disappointing. It is a shame it used to be very good!
What an experience! If you're looking for a place to wow
What an experience! If you're looking for a place to wow visitors with exquisite food and ambiance this is the upper valley spot. There are great views of the river and waterfalls, home goods store, and a glass blowing factory tour all in one facility Food: Mushroom bread 5/5 Amazing sweetness of a challah roll with the balance of truffle oil and greens- great! Gnocchi 4.5/5 Sweet potato gnocchi with greens, amazing flavors but just can get a little repetitive for a full dish- great to share Lamb burger 4.5/5 Very good and juicy Calamari 4.5/5 Crust and unique spicy flavor Ambiance: Amazing waterfall and service
Another fantastic meal at Simon Pearce.
My wife had the vegetable gnocchi and loved it. Lots of mushrooms and squash. She enjoyed every bite. I had the sesame chicken with noodles (Simon Pearce staple dish) and it was incredibly delicious. Dessert consisted of the maple crème brûlée and the lemon cake with strawberry sauce and mango sorbet. Both dishes were fantastic. Again...you cannot beat the consistency that this place delivers. Amazing meal!
Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Upper Valley
Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Upper Valley area. All the dishes we ordered were flavorful, with some favorites being the lamb and the seafood stew. The dessert menu is also delicious with locally made ice cream being served as well. Being located in the glass shop makes it a fun experience as you can checkout the glass being made downstairs, look at the different products being sold in the first floor, and also checkout the waterfall outside. Service is also very friendly and attentive as well.
Flavor-free cuisine
Nice waitstaff, industrial atmosphere. Cod arrived cold, sent back and repaired by adding more mash potatoes and heating fish. Result was hot dry fish on top of blah mash, surrounded by a moat of blah balsamic refuction. Why the chef can't heat plates in the Winter in Vermont is a mystery. Crispy julienned leek toupee was the only part that approached having flavor. Blah, blah, blah with a side of meh...
Beautiful location and building, very romantic.
The menu is consistently good but pretty tired however. They've got a monopoly on their caliber of restaurant in the area and without competition I see how it could make them complacent.

From start to finish you know you're in for a delicious and consistent meal complete with attentive service and divine stemware
This is a review for their glassware.
I ordered a menorah that was steel and glass. In the cleaning of the glass with hot water (to remove wax from the candles) it cracked. After a brief correspondence, they have replaced it at no additional cost. Their customer service was terrific, and though it was likely some fault on our part, I was never made to feel badly. They were generous and went above and beyond what they could have done. Simon Pearce is a first class glass maker that stands behind their work with first class service. I could not be happier and they have a customer for life.

Great food and drink's which are served in glassware available in the shop. Many options and attentive service.
Watch the Artists at Work
Very interesting and beautiful handmade glass . Large store located on top floor with the glass blowing shop downstairs . You must go down and watch them create. From the shop you can step outside on a viewing platform to see the waterfall and covered bridge. The shop is very pricey and they do have a seconds” area that have wonderful options. There s also a little cafe located next to the store that gives you great views of the falls and bridge. Note- make reservations they fill up quick .

One of my favorite places in all of New England is the Simon Pearce headquarters in Quechee VT. The glass creations they make here are amazing and the seconds area in the back can always produce a bargain. I also love that they invite you into the basement to see how the glass is made. It feels like every single glass maker is kind and friendly as they show you how they do it. All of that would be enough of a draw for me, but when you add to it the on-sight restaurant - this place is over-the-top amazing. Most tables overlook a river and a waterfall and a covered bridge. The menu offers everything from fancy to comfort food items and everything is great. I recommend the Vermont Cheddar soup. You can't go wrong with whatever you choose. Everything is great! Note: make sure you come with a reservation.
Glass and dinner
Simon Pearce is the home base of all the Simon Pearce Glass stores. They create amazing glass pieces at this factory. In addition to their glass factory they also have an amazing restaurant as well. We are at the restaurant and had the most amazing meal. For starters we had the parsnip soup which was so velvety good. For our entrees my girlfriend had the horseradish cod fish and I had the Angus NY sirloin which was cooked perfectly, served with mushrooms and fingerling potatoes. It was cooked perfectly and tasted even better. For dessert we had the Pavlova which was delicious.

Great lunch, great shopping and a great view
We had lunch here on the first day of our trip. Such a great little spot for lunch with a gorgeous view. I had the special quiche and my boyfriend had the lamb burger. Only downside was the accompanying salad was nothing to write home about. Not that much dressing, if any at all, so felt like you were eating plain lettuce.
Wonderful food and excellent service.
As we were walking towards the restaurant door we received a text alerting us that our table was ready…very nice touch! Hostess was extremely welcoming and positioned us at a window view table. Our waiter was excellent! Attentive but not smothering. His timing was perfect…quietly appearing like magic, tending to our needs, and then off again. We ordered wine with the cheese plate to start and were very pleased. Mushroom and leek soup, along with the quiche, made up our meal (generous portions, more than one can consume). All in all we had an excellent experience and we’re so pleased we took the time to experience this restaurant.
First rate dining with scenic views
This is an amazing restaurant, but not easy to get reservations during fall foliage season in October. Two months in advance I was able to book lunch, but not dinner. They told me to book six months in advance for next year. Our table for lunch overlooked a covered bridge and waterfalls. Service was friendly, prompt and very efficient. The menu selections were creative and delicious. The cheddar soup was wonderful, the green salad with added salmon was very delicious, and the sesame chicken was tender and certainly large enough for a dinner entree even though this was lunchtime. The apple cake with ice cream for dessert hit the spot. Plus we had some nice glasses of Pinot Grigio with our meal. Make sure if you come for dinner it's early enough (depending on the time of year) for there to be daylight so you can enjoy the views from the restaurant and also outdoors nearby. This is a first rate dining experience. Don't miss it if you're in the area. Also be sure to visit the Simon Pearce store right next to the restaurant and see the glass blowing on the lower level, which also has an outside area where you can get some great views.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
