Lunch at Okra
First time coming here after it was renovated and shifted from the Bukit location to the Island location. Lovely ambience after the renovations. Service staff provides excellent service. Food quality has dropped I ordered the Chasu Ramen, which was quite a disappointment as the broth is so bland. Even the plating and presentation was like those you find at hawker or at cafes. The Teppanyaki chicken was ok as the gravy was so sweet if taken alone. Chawamushi, for its price at nearly $5, was not worth it as ingredients within were very bare minimal.
Be the first to ReplyRude waiters at the Bukit
We visited the club and visited the Bukit restaurant where upon the waiter was so rude I almost wanted to complain but as a guest I could not / he said the members shoes were not right and was so off handed we all just wanted to leave we would never return to this and suggest that for 300 k membership this was money not well spent /the member who will be nameless was very embarrassed at all of this

It is so rare to find teppanyaki in Singapore that we decided to book the whole counter for teppanyaki when we found out the club started one. The teppanyaki did not disappoint under Chef Tommy Yeo’s superb cooking skills. The food quality was exceptional and the taste excellent. Highlights of the meal include scallops (cooked al dente) and beef. Will be back!
Be the first to ReplyBest Tempayaki I have ever had
Our dinner was prepared by chef Tommy Yeo, a great chef. Favourite dish was definitely the garlic fried rice made which was made with love. He is a very kind chef who likes to engage in conversation with us. Would love to come back here to see chef Tommy and eat food again.

This club has 2 locations, four and a half golf courses, swimming pools, play areas, bowling alley, tennis and squash courts and many food outlets. It is a great family club.

Beautiful club. First class facility. We were guests of a member and I was impressed with the grounds, the bar, the restaurant, the locker room, etc.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place to be
Visited Sports complex after while again. Great place to be. Need to be Member or guest of Member. Some tennis courts covered which is great in this SG Weather. Golf facilies also great, just recently under some restrictions and construction but things need to be done to get it even more great! Enjoyed the visit as always. Staff very friendly and professional👌🏻👍🏼

I came here for a Charity Dinner and it is my first time to this place.
This country club seem remotely far from my house. There is no metro station at the nearby location. Public bus does not ply right into the club and driving there is the best option.
The dinner is held at the ballroom. The area of the ballroom is perfectly spacious and there is a central stage for performance. The organizing committee engaged a band and few singers to provide some entertainment for the audience.
My table was right in front of the stage and I felt the sound system was just perfect for the event. The food was delicious and dishes were very presentable. I like the tender red snapper steamed in light sauce. The fried prawns were perfectly crispy while the cold dish was well decorated with a variety of meat. The dish of spinach cooked with mushrooms were healthy option and not overcooked. The fried chicken meat were tender with crispy skin. The fried rice in lotus leaves was fragrant and packed with ingredients.
Food quality was excellent and the service was perfect. The waitress changed our plates frequently and topped up our beverages automatically.
I understand that one table cost $888/- and I felt guilty seeing much leftover but I was equally worried over my cholesterol level.
I am thankful to the many patrons who donated generously to the community fund in the constituency. The patrons had their charity golf games in the morning and the donations hit the million dollar target.
During the dinner, there was a bidding for a calligraphy art piece purportedly written by our VIP. The Chinese wordings were `When you drink, think of the source of the water' and `Smoothly sailing'. The Chinese Confucian philosophers reminded most of us to be thankful for what we have now and be grateful to contribute to society so that more people benefits and life is more smooth sailing for everyone.
In recent times, many societies are facing upheavals and chaos but Singapore avoids the same fate. One of the reasons is that we have a harmonious society where the rich continue to make effort to help the poor so that no one is left out.
It was a great charity night and I think this country club plays an indispensable and important role in facilitating the smooth running of the charity effort. Good food, excellent service, great ambiance, lovely songs and perfect venue.
Good Chinese Fare
Really out of the way location. However, the food is excellent, the prices very reasonable, and the service quality is good. The fried fish is a must try. Good selection of wines. This is worth a visit if y9u have time and patience to travel to this location.
Be the first to ReplyBukit Course - a true gem
Being one of the more than 400 courses designed by James Braid and one of the very few outside of the UK, Bukit is a gem. As a tropical golf course using indigenous plants and grasses, surrounded by ancient jungle, Bukit is the best woodlands golf course I have experienced. The grain of the green is increases the difficulty of the reading the putts and experience definitely gives you the edge. The greens have not been replaced in more than 40 years, speaking volumes of how the grass belongs to the land. Opened for play since 1924, this gem is a true test of our golfing skill.
Be the first to ReplyBukit course....super golf course
Unlike many Asian courses, the grass here is more European in nature allowing some run on the ball. Lovely clubhouse and after round dinner was excellent and good value. The prawn lala was particularly good as was the satay.

The place is still looking good and it would be better with the upcoming redevelopment plans for the Bukit location.
The cafe served extremely excellent Indian Tandoori Tiki (dry type) and Masala (gravy type) that came with garlic naan, assortment of papadum with the respective condiments.
Daughter ordered the steak which was also excellently done and the texture and taste were great.
Only draw back was the chendol in which fresh coconut was not used which the taste was not up to standard.
Overall, the staff was super attentive and efficient at their service. Good job!
Keep to Asian Food!
My nasi lemak was excellent, unfortunately my wife’s eggs Benedict were cold and they took a long time to replace them. In the meantime, she was served cold earl grey, hot breakfast, hot camomile then what she asked for - hot earl grey tea. If they cannot serve western food, it shouldn’t be on the menu.
