My friend and I enjoyed our dinner at Shoo Shoo the other
My friend and I enjoyed our dinner at Shoo Shoo the other night. We chose to split some small plates and the burger, which was the perfect amount for 2! Thoughts on the food: - Baba ga noo shoo was delicious! I wish there was slightly more pita provided as we had some left over at the end, but we just made sure to keep the dish for the fries that came later. - Arugula salad was solid, too. We chose to get it without steak knowing we would be getting the burger as well. There was a lot more cilantro (on the menu classified as herbs) than I anticipated, so just keep that in mind if you're not a big cilantro fan - Harissa burger got solid reviews online so I was excited to try it, but to me it wasn't anything special. We also had ordered it medium, and it came out medium well. Fries were good! I do want to give a shout out to the staff though- service was great and very friendly! They were able to accommodate us when we came before our reservation time, and we didn't feel rushed with our meal either. All in all, would recommend.
Be the first to ReplyThe Greek salad and steak frites were the star at the table.
The hummus and pita were also delicious. Shushuka is a must for brunch. Very cute spot.

This place has the best hummus! Burger and fries were great, huge portions. My friend and i should have shared we were both so full.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely one of my favorites in NYC.
The food is outstanding. The service was really great and everyone is friendly. They have both outside and indoor seating. Really nice inside setting. The Moroccan mint is a must get. Some of the best hummus in nyc. Burger was fire

It saddens me to write this review as Shoo Shoo has up until tonight been one of my favorite restaurants. I have always loved the service, the food, the ambiance and have frequented this restaurant several times up until tonight. Tonight I received the worst service I have ever received with the food taking nearly 90+ mins to arrive from placing our order, not having silverware once the apps arrived for nearly 30 mins as the server completely disappeared, and finally once we received our food our server came back 5 mins later and told us we only had 15 mins left until they needed the table. The service was extremely disorganized, inattentive, and quite frankly neglectful. Not once was there an acknowledgement of how long everything was taking nor was there any apology for the lack of silverware--instead we were met with abruptness, told to hurry up, and met with an extremely put out attitude. I will not be returning to Shoo Shoo anytime soon, and truly am extremely disappointed by this experience.
Be the first to ReplyOrdered the pita/hummus, Greek salad and the burger.
Everything was incredible! My partner said this was one of his favorite burgers in the city! The restaurant itself is so cute, a great date spot or meeting up for a small group of friends. It can get expensive quickly but I look forward to going back and trying more of the menu. Their pita was probably the best part of the meal!

Came here with a large group, they were very accommodating! I got the green omelet, which was a good portion size, and I really liked the green sauce that accompanied the omelet. However, the herbs in the omelet were a bit overwhelming - I thought my friends' burger orders were absolutely delicious though!

Service and staff was very attentive! we had some starters as our meals and did family style. Wouldn't say menu is anything unique but good flavors! I enjoyed the ragu best
Be the first to ReplyWas blown away by Shoo Shoo.
Dined here with some friends for brunch and we were all pleased with our dishes. The pita was so fluffy and fresh and the hummus was fantastic! Personally got the green omelette which was light and refreshing , yet filling. Service and ambiance were great as well. Would definitely recommend

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here! Came here for dinner with a group of 10 so they seated us outside in the outdoor huts. It was so nicely heated! Food was phenomenal - top items included the herb fries with harissa aioli, labneh, falafel, and mashed potatoes. Dessert was also delicious - recommend the mousse or the baklava. Would definitely come back!

We were only supposed to go fir happy hour but ended up staying for dinner. Tuffi and Antonio made it a terrific experience. The drinks and food were terrific! We then had mint rose tea and dessert. Will definitely return.

Food was okey, the lamb kebab and chicken shawarma are juicy the rest was ok no surprise, basic middle eastern food.service beyond unpleasant, probably the worst i have ever had in NYC in the past 20 years. It was a birthday celebration and the managment refused to even serve one desert with a candle for party of 10, only because they needed the table for the next t party. The worst part is that we were told that we have the table toll 9:15 and we were given the check at 8 pm and were asked to leave. When i asked to speak to the manager no one showed up.Ambiance was ok.

We had a good group lunch here, sitting outside in the sheds. We enjoyed a cocktail and weren't rushed to order. I had the shakshuka, which was great. Nice deep flavor in the tomato sauce, and loved the challah that came with it along with the fresh salad. The avocado toast was the weakest link of all meals. Staff were pleasant and were attentive without being overbearing. Nice place to go in the otherwise overcrowded soho for brunch.
Be the first to ReplyIt is a beautiful place.
I remember walking by it often when i go shopping in the area but never got a chance to explore inside until recently. The food there was good and filling. The service there was a bit rushed the entire time even though the restaurant was not very occupied. Throughout the entire experience, multiple servers tried to take away our unfinished dishes without asking us.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for a delicious dinner! Great crowd of people.
Delicious food and drinks. The shoo shoo salad is a must try.
Be the first to ReplyWent here because everyone raves about it.
The food was good, not outstanding. The hummus was to die for, also got the lamb kebabs and shakshuka, both of which were very good, but didn't blow me out of the water. I didn't love how the challa bread wasn't cut with the shakshuka. If you want good consistent Mediterranean come here!
Be the first to ReplyI haven't been "wowed" in a long time with NYC dining.
I've had lots of night outs where I spent $50-$100 for a mediocre tasting dinner but ok 'ambiance'. Shoo Shoo was both DELICIOUS and had a beautiful environment. For apps we got the labneh and hummus with pita bread, and for mains the burger and skewers. Everything was so delicious but I really have to call out the HUMMUS. It was the best tasting hummus I've ever had in my life. And this whole time I thought I was eating good hummus from Whole Foods... lol jokes on me. I brought the leftover hummus home and literally ate the rest with a spoon. It was so creamy and decadent, and they topped it with tatbila sauce, which I'd never had before. It's apparently chopped up green peppers, garlic, and lemon. I loved it so freaking much. Wish I took a pic of it, but here's a pic of the ume plum spritzer I got instead (it was just okay, but pretty). I'll be coming back just for the hummus hahaha.
Be the first to ReplyService was abysmal.
Waiters would ignore us -- seems like they don't like to work. It was harder than it should be to get their attention for our bill...I was tempted to leave without paying. Cocktails and food were pretty good. I got the chicken shawarma which came with a generous portion of chicken. Even though the food was good, it was definitely not worth my time, money, and energy. My friends and I were very upset with this dining experience. I ate here a couple months ago and I still don't think I have the heart to try Shoo Shoo again.
Be the first to ReplyShoo shoo is incredible.
As a vegan i love all the options. The only con is that it tends to be pretty loud, but it is such a good spot for dinner in the city. The hummus is delish, cocktails are too.
Be the first to ReplyGood spot for a group dinner with decent food and cocktails.
I got the chicken shawarma which was quite tasty but I expected more dips than just hummus with the dish. I also got the shoo shoo cocktail which was too sweet for my taste but my friends tried different ones which were all great. The kitchen did close a bit early for New York, around 10, so weren't able to get dessert and I wish our server informed us about that. Nevertheless still a good spot if you're looking for a satisfying Mediterranean meal in the neighborhood.
