Shiro's Sushi Seattle Reviews from The Last Year
This was our first Omakase experience.
It was incredible, I enjoyed the different types of tuna the best. The chef's table experience was well worth it to hear the chef describe each piece as well as information about when it's in season, what flavors it naturally has, and what flavors it pairs well with.
I went for my friend & my birthday for Shiro's omakase.
The service was wonderful, from sushi chef to waiters & waitresses. The omakase seats 8 people & felt like an intimate experience while being in the hustle of the restaurant atmosphere. Sean & Taro were fabulous hosts. The omakase was around $140 & we had sake & dessert. Well worth the price for the experience in Seattle. The fish was phenomenal, the seasonings were fantastic. It was a great birthday trip
Always amazing food and service here, great atmosphere as
Always amazing food and service here, great atmosphere as well. Always do chefs special and try to sit at the bar, otherwise can do a similar option at a table!
A friend and I ended up here for her birthday.
And though she selected the place for who she believed was the owner, who isn't anymore - we still had a great Sushi experience. I'm not mentioning parking because I have no clue about parking in the area. We walked from our hotel a few blocks away. I'll start off by saying, make reservations. We were there during the week and the place was jammed from the moment we walked in until we left. Both the tables and the Sushi bar. There was a Sashimi Omakase which I would have preferred but only late seating was available. Not that it mattered, we still enjoyed the Sushi Omakase we opted for. Service was excellent. Attentive. Friendly. Informative. So much so that I wonder if you have to pass a test to describe each Sushi offering before you're allowed to be a server. Of course I'm kidding but our server describing each round didn't sound scripted. Didn't sound pompous either. The team was great with refills, adding to our order and clearing the table as they noticed we were doing the pics thing for the Gram. Needless to say we enjoyed dinner. She really loved the Tamago. It was later shared that Tamago was the previous Chef's recipe. The Chef she based her decision to choose Shiro's for dinner. Night was capped with a complimentary birthday dessert; Tiramisu. Awesome way to lift someone's spirits to celebrate the day of reminder that they're getting old. Sorry no pics. It was all videos. Go see my IG if you wanna see it all

Came here for SRW and tried the chef's dinner! The place is pretty casual, but our server treated us well, bringing out the 5 course meals in a good pace and describing each sushi piece! For the food, I wasn't blown away by their white fish and salmon at first. But they brought out 4 kinds of tuna, and they were the best tuna I've ever had! Each one was super unique with special sauce or toppings, and I especially loved the fatty Otoro. Their scallop and shrimp were very buttery and flavorful as well. This might sound weird, but my favorite from the whole menu was actually the dessert - hojicha panna cotta. I know, this might sound bad for the sushi place. I liked their sushi, but their dessert was just THAT good. Easily one of the best things I've tasted this whole year. Super creamy and hojicha forward flavor, and not too sweet or heavy. I wish I could just come here for that when I want a dessert haha
Shiros is the best sushi restaurant I have experienced in
Shiros is the best sushi restaurant I have experienced in the US outside of Japan thus far It is my highest recommended sushi restaurant in the US and in Seattle
Food: if I could give this place 10 stars, I would do that
Food: if I could give this place 10 stars, I would do that in a heartbeat. This was the best quality sushi I have had in my whole life thus far. I am originally from LA and was traveling Seattle with my boyfriend. We have never had omakase before, and a lot of our friends had recommended this place, and it really did not disappoint. And we went at a great time when it was the tail end of Seattle restaurant week, so we got to try their omakase at a discounted price! Every single piece that came out was so fresh, so high quality, and just... a piece of art. My personal favorite was sweet shrimp and scallop, but my boyfriend went crazy for the bluefin variety. We both thoroughly enjoyed our experience here, and will definitely be coming back when we are back in Seattle next time! Price: since it was Seattle restaurant week, our omakase course was $65, but we also opted for the $15 premium plates, which was so worth it! I hear their normal pricing is closer to $85 for just the normal course. Ambiance: the restaurant is located in a corner, and you can see the outside with people walking by. The place is dimly lit, clean, with a little bit of cozy warm feeling. There are several sushi chefs located at the bar, making conversation and working hard, but also enjoying their time! Perfect for fancy date nights. Service: amazing, our server explained to us in detail each sushi piece, and told us exactly how to eat them, whether to use soy sauce or not. He was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. How luxurious! Parking: my boyfriend and I ubered from our hotel in downtown to this restaurant, so not aware of the parking situation, but seemed like it was pretty limited.
A great place to introduce yourself to omakase as it is on
A great place to introduce yourself to omakase as it is on the simple, authentic, and cheaper side! Wouldn't recommend coming multiple times though, as it seems the menu never really changes. Took my boyfriend here for his first time having omakase and he really enjoyed it! The service was great, and having a paper menu is nice so it's easy to reference what we have in front of us. Tables are quite close together in this small restaurant, so it does feel a little claustrophobic personally. Service is very friendly.
Everyone says to eat at Shiro's if you're in Seattle, and
Everyone says to eat at Shiro's if you're in Seattle, and okay, there's good reason for it. We got lucky as it was restaurant week in Seattle so the table omakase was $65 instead of $85. So that nice surprise prompted us to add on the supplemental dishes for an extra $15/person. So it's a 5 course omakase and with the supplement dishes, it's 2 additional appetizers. So let's just get to it. The first appetizer was a dungeness crab croquet, king squid, and some... other delicious thing. It was all perfection in my eyes... or mouth. Then the second appetizer was a grilled sea bass and wow wow wow, it was so juicy and amazing. Every molecule was flavored and made my taste buds dance. The supplemental dishes were well worth the $15 extra. Now onto the omakase. The first course were white fish and unsurprisingly, they're delicious as hell. The sea bass in that round was my favorite. The second course was a mix of salmon and yellowtail variations where the striped jack won my heart. The texture was nice and chewy but still so fresh and delicious. Never had anything like it before. The third course was my favorite because it's all bluefin tuna, and good bluefin tuna melts in your mouth which literally all of these pieces did. I still drool thinking about it. The fourth course headed towards shellfish type nigiri and oof, the scallops was absolutely bomb. The scallops touched my lip and already started to melt, and by the time it was on my tongue, well, I was living my best life. The last course was a nice way to close out an amazing meal. Unagi is solid, the tamago was sweet, unlike what I'm used to, but I'm on board. So in case you don't know, this is an experience that's more affordable than other omakase places. If you want to elevate it further, you can try to reserve omakase at the bar (which costs more). Oh yeah, you best make a reservation cause you won't likely get a seat otherwise. Come by and enjoy some amazing sushi whether you're a local or visitor!
We came here for the Seattle restaurant week special
We came here for the Seattle restaurant week special featuring 19 courses of sushi! We made a reservation for 6:15 on a thurs night and the place was packed when we arrived. I would plan an extra 10 mins before your reservation because street parking is limited during peak hours. We were greeted by the chefs and our server and were seated after waiting about 10 mins. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The 19 course sushi set is usually $85 but during the restaurant week it's priced at $65. It was such a steal! Very fresh and great quality fish. 10/10 recommend

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
